House GOP probes alleged DOJ retaliation against impeachment witness serving 14-year sentence who revealed then-VP Joe’s Moscow call

House Republicans are probing whether the Department of Justice retaliated against one of their impeachment witnesses — a former business associate of Hunter Biden who revealed a 2014 conversation then-Vice President Biden had with his son and the former mayor of Moscow.
Jason Galanis, who is currently serving a 14-year federal prison sentence for defrauding an American Indian tribe, disclosed a May 4, 2014, speaker phone conversation between Hunter and Joe Biden and Russian oligarch Yelena Baturina and her husband, the ex-Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov.
Galanis was interviewed last month from his prison cell in Montgomery, Ala., and during his stay, he alleged he had been a “victim of a pattern of retribution by the Department of Justice” to hinder congressional investigators.
Jordan Peterson To Testify To Congress On Government Collusion With Banks

Dr. Jordan B. Peterson will testify on Capitol Hill this week for a House hearing on allegations of government collusion with banks to snoop on the private financial information of U.S. citizens, The Daily Wire has learned.
The Thursday hearing will be held by the House Judiciary Committee’s Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, which is chaired by Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH). Jordan announced in January of this year that his committee obtained documents that show the federal government flagged monetary transactions using terms associated with former President Donald Trump for financial institutions.
Concerns about federal law enforcement targeting political and religious expression protected by the Constitution as well as protecting civil liberties are certain to be topics of discussion during the hearing on Thursday.
Human trafficking bust: Teacher, coaches among 228 arrested in Polk County

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, a teacher, coaches, medical professionals, and active military members were among those arrested during ‘Operation March Sadness 2024’.
One man arrested said he was a volleyball coach from New York who tutored middle school students. According to Judd, the suspect said he wanted to pay $150 to have sex with a woman. He was also arrested last month in Hillsborough Couty for the same thing.
An IT specialist at Tampa General Hospital and a registered nurse at a Bay Area nursing home were also among those arrested.
An Air Force staff sergeant, an airman police officer and a 19-year-old scheduled to begin his Air Force training in May were also arrested.
A man who used to be a detention deputy with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office was also arrested. Judd says he was fired after he was arrested in Orange County. Judd added that he was also arrested in Polk County last month.
Judd added that 21 of the 228 arrested are in the country illegally.
Trump asks for new trial in E. Jean Carroll defamation suit

MANHATTAN (CN) — Former president Donald Trump on Tuesday asked a federal judge for a new trial in writer E. Jean Carroll’s defamation suit against him, claiming the trial’s outcome was “infected” by the judge’s errors.
According to Trump, U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan erroneously excluded the former president’s testimony from trial and provided flawed jury instructions on the definition of common-law malice.
Specifically, Trump criticized his not being allowed to testify about his state of mind when he denied Carroll’s statements.
LA prosecutor says boss Gascón sent cops to intimidate her at home after blowing whistle on soft-on-crime memo

ALos Angeles deputy district attorney says her boss, Democratic District Attorney George Gascón, sent a plainclothes investigator to intimidate her at her home after she blew the whistle on a memo about the prosecution of street racing crimes, a high-octane problem in the county.
“There was absolutely no necessity nor reasonableness in that approach,” the prosecutor, Tatiana Chahoian, told Fox News Digital. “It was purely an intimidation tactic, particularly to someone such as myself who is working remotely due to a medical accommodation.”
In Ring camera video, the woman can be seen repeatedly ringing the doorbell and stuffing a letter into the doorjamb before walking up and down the front yard multiple times and before Chahoian opens the door. The woman gives her name, then on her way out tells someone off camera, “She came to the door, this is just my partner,” before getting into a car and leaving.
“It’s ridiculous for Gascón to personally serve a Deputy DA with a letter saying they violated a personnel policy,” said Neama Rahmani, a Los Angeles trial attorney and former federal prosecutor. “It’s something that should be handled via email and gives the appearance that he did so to intimidate or otherwise send a message to a subordinate.”
‘Neither scientific nor medical’: Leaked WPATH files shed light on the horror show that is ‘gender-affirming care’

WPATH members quoted in the report can be seen discussing:
- Giving irreversible medical treatments to mentally-compromised victims incapable of providing consent;
- The inability of minors to comprehend the long-term consequences of so-called gender affirmation;
- Putting a gloss on de-transition and post-operation regrets;
- The narrative that minors should receive hormones or go under the knife because otherwise they’ll kill themselves — a popular claim amongst LGBT activists that was shown to be false in a recent Finnish study; and
- Various debilitating side effects of sex-change procedures.
In one instance, Dianne Berg, a child psychologist at the University of Minnesota who co-authored the child chapter of WPATH Standards of Care 8, admits that it is out of children’s “developmental range to understand the extent to which some of these medical interventions are impacting them. They’ll say they understand, but then they’ll say something else that makes you think, oh, they didn’t really understand that they are going to have facial hair.”
AZ Gov. Hobbs Vetoes Bill Allowing Police to Arrest the Illegals Overwhelming Her State

In her veto letter, Gov. Hobbs claims the bill would not have secured the border but, instead, would have hurt Arizona’s businesses and communities, while placing an addition burden on the justice system.
The governor’s veto was not unexpected. Hobbs – who vetoed 143 bills sent her by the Republican-controlled legislature – had previously attacked the border security bill, calling it “job killing, anti-immigrant legislation meant to score cheap political points.”
Under Governor Katie Hobbs, illegal alien encounters between ports of entry by U.S. Border Patrol in Arizona have surged 51% to 273,519 through the first four months of FY2024 (Oct.-Jan.), up from 181,572 in the same period a year earlier.
The increase is entirely due to an onslaught of illegal aliens trying to sneak into the U.S. across the border in the Tucson Sector. In the first four months of FY2024, encounters between ports of entry in the Tucson sector are up 182%, from 88,741 to 250,661, compared to a year earlier. In every one of the first four months of FY2023, border encounters in the sector surged by at least 141%, compared to the same month a year earlier.
California man first in US to face charges for allegedly smuggling ‘highly potent greenhouse gases’ into country

Michael Hart, a 58-year-old San Diego resident, was arrested early Monday after he allegedly illegally smuggled hydrofluorocarbons, commonly used as refrigerants, into the country to sell for a profit, the DOJ stated.
The agency accused Hart of purchasing refrigerants in Mexico and concealing them under a tarp and tools in his vehicle before crossing into the U.S. Hart then allegedly attempted to sell the refrigerants by listing them on OfferUp, Facebook Marketplace, and other online merchants. According to the DOJ, Hart sold the refrigerants for a profit.
The charges, related to the Trump-era American Innovation and Manufacturing Act of 2020, state that the Environmental Protection Agency must approve the importation of HFCs.
‘Middle Eastern’ man allegedly murders Jewish dentist — but police insist suspect is just a ‘disgruntled … customer’

Two of the victims — a man in his 40s and a woman in her 20s — were transported to an area hospital “in serious but stable condition,” a police report said. Both are expected to survive.
Unfortunately, the third victim, 29-year-old dentist Benjamin Harouni succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Because of the identities of the suspect and victim, some immediately suspected that anti-Semitic fervor may have motivated the fatal shooting.
“Media outlets have been dismissing the shooting as a result of mental instability, as they often do when Jews are the victims of murderous hate,” StandWithUs, a pro-Israel group, posted on Facebook the day after the shooting. “We call on law enforcement to investigate this as a hate crime.”
320,000 illegal immigrants flown into US by Biden admin

A new report from the Center for Immigration Studies shows that President Joe Biden’s administration flew roughly 320,000 illegal immigrants into 43 different U.S. airports from multiple foreign airports last year, allowing the Biden administration to bypass border security data by directly transporting illegal immigrants into the U.S. from other countries.
According to the Center for Immigration Studies, the report was uncovered as the result of a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit filed by the organization.
The Center for Immigration Studies noted, “The public now knows that U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has approved secretive flights that last year alone ferried hundreds of thousands of inadmissible aliens from foreign airports into some 43 American ones over the past year, all pre-approved on a cell phone app.”
Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema will not seek re-election

Her exit clears the way for a likely matchup between Republican Kari Lake and Democratic Rep. Ruben Gallego in a contest that could determine control of the Senate.
- As Lake and Gallego ramped up their campaigns, it became increasingly clear that Sinema’s path to victory was extremely narrow.
- Sinema won in 2018 as a Democrat, becoming the first non-Republican to win an Arizona Senate seat since 1994.

China Coast Guard Injures Four With Water Cannon in S. China Sea Standoff

The Philippine Coast Guard has reported another “dangerous” run-in with the China Coast Guard at Second Thomas Shoal, a reef guarded by a Philippine military outpost. The encounter included two minor collisions and four injured personnel, according to the PCG.
On the morning of March 5, the Philippine Coast Guard began a regular resupply mission to the garrison on BRP Sierra Madre, the grounded WWII-era LST that serves as a base on the reef.
As in past missions, the China Coast Guard (CCG) and Chinese maritime militia “harassed, blocked, deployed water cannons, and executed dangerous maneuvers” to stop the supply boats and interfere with the mission of the PCG.

Video: Indian Navy Assists MSC Ship with Fire After Houthi Attack

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company confirmed that its vessel MSC Sky II suffered minor damage including a fire after it was struck by the Houthis.
The Indian Navy went to the vessel’s aid after the attack and reported that they also escorted the ship to safe waters.
The Indian vessel Kolkata, which is patrolling the southern waters and the area in the Gulf of Aden, responded after the attack. A specialized 12-member firefighting team boarded the MSC Sky II early on March 5 to assist with the firefight. An explosive disposal team also went aboard the container ship to provide a residual risk assessment and ensure that there were no further dangers.
Pictures provided by the Indian Navy show at least one container fire that was extinguished. They said that the crew of 23, including 13 Indians, was not injured.

Elon Musk says Biden flying 320K ‘unvetted’ migrants into the US sets stage ‘for something far worse than 9/11’

Musk issued the grave warning on X Tuesday, noting that it’s “just a matter of time” that the US faces another terrorist attack of that magnitude.
“This administration is both importing voters and creating a national security threat from unvetted illegal immigrants,” Musk added in the post.
“This is why groups on the far left fight so hard to stop voter ID requirements, under the absurd guise of protecting the right to vote,” the billionaire Tesla CEO said in a subsequent post that doubled down on his stance.

Documents Show Planned Parenthood Exchanges Baby Body Parts For Intellectual Property Rights

New documents obtained via public record request by the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) reveal contracts and conversations between Planned Parenthood and the University of California San Diego (UCSD) where the abortion provider agreed to supply aborted fetal body parts to the school explicitly for “valuable consideration.”
In exchange, the university would grant Planned Parenthood ownership of all “patents” and “intellectual property” developed through research and experiments using the supplied fetal tissue.
CMP also obtained emails between Planned Parenthood officials and UCSD discussing “research collaboration.” In one, UCSD tells Planned Parenthood they will “have results to share on samples recently collected.”
They also plan to meet to discuss “payment to the residency program,” referring to an abortion training program Planned Parenthood operates under UCSD’s OB-GYN department. Presumably, the program is similar to Planned Parenthood’s partnership with the University of Pittsburgh, which has Planned Parenthood abortionists on staff and trains medical students on performing abortions.

Electric vehicles release more toxic emissions, are worse for the environment than gas-powered cars: study

The study, published by emissions data firm Emission Analytics, was released in 2022 but has attracted a wave of attention this week after being cited in a Wall Street Journal op-ed Sunday.
It found that brakes and tires on EVs release 1,850 times more particle pollution compared to modern tailpipes, which have “efficient” exhaust filters, bringing gas-powered vehicles’ emissions to new lows.
Emission Analytics found that tire wear emissions with about 1,100 pounds of battery weight in an EV are more than 400 times as great as direct exhaust particulate emissions. Most EV batteries weigh around 1,800 pounds.Emissions Analytics
The study throws doubt on the practicality of the Biden administration’s EV mandates, which tout electric cars as “zero-emissions vehicles” in a quest to force two-thirds of new cars in America to be all-electric by the year 2032.
‘Fighting back’: Woman kills convicted sex offender who tried to rape her, police say

While en route to the scene, deputies were also dispatched to a call in reference to a woman claiming she stabbed a man who had attacked her while she was at the same laundromat.
Arriving officers found 40-year-old Nicholas Tranchant at the business suffering from a stab wound, officials said.
A preliminary investigation into the death determined Tranchant − a convicted sex offender − entered the business armed with what officials described as a sharp weapon, and attempted to sexually assault the woman.
