Jack Smith Hit With Election Interference Complaint

Gaetz is claiming that Smith’s efforts to push against any delays in Trump’s election interference trial are rooted in Smith’s desire to influence the presidential election.
“The witch hunt against President Trump by Attorney General Garland and Special Counsel Smith is a partisan exercise, and the American people know it!” Gaetz posted on X.
“Jack Smith’s attempt to speed up the trial against President Trump violates the DOJ’s rules and the law. His public comments and his office’s briefs before the Supreme Court demonstrate that he has no reason for his actions other than to unlawfully interfere in the 2024 presidential election,” he wrote.
No Significant Policy Wins for Conservatives in Massive Omnibus Bill

The Uniparty strikes again as Republicans fail to use their leverage to include new border security restrictions. At 1,050 pages, the spending bill leaves out pretty much everything Chip Roy (R-TX), and the Freedom Caucus wanted in the bill.
The Freedom Caucus is disappointed with more than 6000 earmarks. The Tea Party calls earmarks “the currency of corruption” that ultimately “fuel spending.” The bill passed 339-85. 132 Republicans voted yes, and 83 voted no. Only two Democrats voted no on the bill.
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) tried to pass off the bill as one that has “deep cuts.” However, the bill features minor cuts to the EPA, the ATF, and the FBI. Democrats rejected cuts in areas that were important to the conservative base.
NYC newsstand vendor left ‘covered in blood’ in broad-daylight lotto ticket, cash heist

Three brutes bashed a Manhattan newsstand owner in the head and left him “covered in blood” during an afternoon robbery where they snagged lottery tickets and cash, the vendor said.
The masked men stormed inside Abul Hossain’s Upper East Side newsstand at around 2:30 p.m. and unloaded punches on the unassuming 67-year-old vendor.
“I was eating my lunch when they came in and just started punching me,” Hossain told The Post. “They punched me in the head over and over.
Pennsylvania Collaborates With DHS and CISA To Monitor Online Election-Related Speech

These partners include the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and, notably, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), an organization long accused of aiding online censorship to impede freewheeling online speech.
The revelation about Pennsylvania’s collaboration with DHS and CISA surfaced after The Federalist pressed the Pennsylvania State Department for more information about the new initiative.
This program, named the Pennsylvania Election Threats Task Force, is expected to bring forth measures for the protection of the electoral system, safeguard voters from any form of intimidation, and provide accessible and trustworthy information about the election.

Georgia’s ‘sanctuary cities’ could lose taxpayer funding under new measure

The Georgia Senate Public Safety Committee advanced a measure that could cost local jurisdictions state taxpayer money if they declare themselves a “sanctuary city.”
The committee passed an amended version of House Bill 301, which the state House passed last year as a measure initially related to motor vehicles and traffic. The push has become a priority in the wake of last month’s murder of a 22-year-old Augusta University nursing student on the University of Georgia campus in Athens
“This legislation also creates an opportunity for citizens who feel that their communities are taking these actions — which are in violation of Georgia law when it’s related to sanctuary cities — [to] take legal action against their community … to get their community back on track,” Robertson said.
Menendez hit with more federal charges in bribery case

Embattled New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez is facing new obstruction of justice charges in a federal bribery case.
Prosecutors say he and his wife Nadine sought to cover up the criminal investigation
In a new superseding indictment, released earlier this week, the Justice Department charges Menendez with 16 criminal counts accusing he and his wife of trying to cover-up the a bribery scheme when the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York began investigating.
Menendez is already facing federal charges accusing him of acting as a foreign agent and accepting hundreds of thousands of dollars of bribes to benefit the Egyptian government and New Jersey business associates.
Federal prosecutors unsealed a 39-page indictment in September accusing Menendez and his wife of accepting gold bars, cash and other bribes in exchange for wielding his political influence for Egypt and his business friends.
Sweden officially enters NATO

NATO on Thursday formally accepted Sweden as transatlantic military alliance’s 32nd member.
Sweden’s efforts to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization comes amid concerns about increased Russian aggression in Europe following the Communist-led country’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine and ends decades of post-World War II neutrality, according to the Associated Press.
The induction ceremony was led by Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
Trump ordered to pay legal fees after failed lawsuit over ‘shocking and scandalous’ Steele dossier

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has been ordered to pay a six-figure legal bill to a company founded by a former British spy that he unsuccessfully sued for making what his lawyer called “shocking and scandalous” false claims that harmed his reputation.
A London judge, who threw out the case against Orbis Business Intelligence last month saying it was “bound to fail,” ordered Trump to pay legal fees of 300,000 pounds ($382,000), according to court documents released Thursday.
Judge Karen Steyn, who sided with Orbis in her Feb. 1 ruling, issued an order several days later on the legal costs. She cut the amount of legal bills Orbis said it incurred — 634,000 pounds ($809,000) — by more than 50% because she said it was high considering there had only been a one-day hearing. In 2022, a U.S. federal judge in Florida dismissed a Trump lawsuit against Steele, 2016 Democratic rival Hillary Clinton and former top FBI officials, rejecting his claims that they helped concoct the Russia investigation that overshadowed much of his administration.
Cops say mom entered school bus, got physical with 9-year-old, told her kid to beat up child; bullying reportedly an issue

Police arrested Qualls again after she bonded out on the initial charges, WSB reported in a separate story.
Officers said Qualls, 28, encouraged her child to beat another child on the bus, the station said, adding that the judge said Qualls used abusive language and attempted to strike a child with her right hand.
Police told WSB Qualls entered the school bus outside the Carrington Park apartments near Jonesboro and caused mayhem.
Now Qualls faces a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor in addition to her initial charges of battery, third-degree child cruelty, and disrupting the operation of a public school, the station said.
Louisiana Declares War on Crime by Bringing Back the Electric Chair and Allowing Constitutional Carry

The state of Louisiana is taking stiff measures on crime by adding additional methods of capital punishment, strengthening parole guidelines, and instituting constitutional carry for firearms.
Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry (R) signed eleven bills on Tuesday in the aftermath of a special legislative session on crime.
Among the bills Landry signed are a bill restoring electrocution as a method of execution and adding nitrogen hypoxia as an additional method of capital punishment.
Along with equipping Louisiana’s Department of Corrections with additional tools for ensuring those convicted in Louisiana face the full weight of their sentences, Landry also gave Louisianans increased opportunities to practice their right to self-defense. Residents of Louisiana over 18-years-old can concealed-carry firearms without a permit starting on July 4.
It looks like this Soros-backed attorney deliberately destroyed 200 years of US history on her way out of office…

Some unsettling news is coming to light about a bunch of historic portraits from Loudoun County’s Commonwealth that vanished into thin air. All fingers are pointing to the time when a certain radical, Soros-backed attorney was at the helm.
Her time in office was riddled with scandals and shockingly unprofessional acts that put the community in danger. Back in 2022, she found herself in hot water when a local judge had enough, and dismissed her and her inept team from a case involving a “serial robber.” Why? Well, she was caught red-handed, misleading both the court and the public to push through her flimsy, Soros-style plea deal.
This criminal harpy and her crew tore through Loudoun County like a wrecking ball, with the kind of destructive power only Soros-backed efforts can muster. After everything she did to leave Virginia’s citizens feeling less safe, Buta Biberaj wasn’t done just yet. Before she slithered out of office under a cloud of disgrace, she had one more alarming move to make:
Journalist, Who Demanded Concentration Camps for Unvaccinated, Dead at 33

Stephanie Hughes, Vandaelle’s partner, revealed that he died suddenly.
“He was 33 years old.”
Vandaelle had taken to social media multiple times to advocate for incentives to encourage and even force Covid vaccination.
He also demanded the implementation of vaccine passports and the termination of those who refused the jab.
As indicated by various social media posts before his hospitalization, Vandaelle seemed in good health and actively engaged in work.
The cause of Vandaelle’s sudden fatal condition has not been made public.
Meanwhile, concerns have been growing for those who were forced to take Covid shots under vaccine mandates.
Houses Passes ‘Laken Riley Act’ to crack down on illegal immigrant criminals

The Laken Riley Act would require the federal government to detain foreign nationals who commit “burglary, theft, larceny, or [a] shoplifting offense” as well as grant states to sue the federal government for non-enforcement of certain aspects of immigration law, and passed the House by a vote of 251 yeas to 170 nays.
“It that should pass the Senate. That doesn’t mean it will or it would, but it should. This is common sense legislation. This is good legislation, and this can help our local law enforcement so I would hope that the Senate would look at it from that standpoint,” Republican Rep. Mike Collins of Georgia, the bill’s sponsor, who represents the district where Riley died, told the DCNF. “There’s nothing wrong with this bill. There’s nothing I could see that they could point at and say ‘That’s wrong,’ with this bill. And if we can pass this, we should pass it. It’s got a good chance of helping save a life.”

MSNBC Election Coverage: Embarrassingly Bad Propaganda!
Katie Porter reiterates that California Senate primary loss was due to ‘rigged’ election

“‘Rigged’ means manipulated by dishonest means,” Porter wrote on X. “A few billionaires spent $10 million+ on attack ads against me, including an ad rated ‘false’ by an independent fact checker. That is dishonest means to manipulate an outcome.”
The comments led to swift backlash from fellow Democrats online, including Sen. Brian Schatz (D-HI), who said the election “was not rigged.”
The recent statement comes less than 24 hours after Porter originally accused her detractors, notably the cryptocurrency-focused super PAC Fairshake, of rigging the election. The comments were reminiscent of former President Donald Trump’s own words after he lost the 2020 election to Joe Biden.

Classified documents judge accepts pro-Trump briefs from legal groups

“The Court has reviewed the motions and finds that the proposed amici bring to the Court’s attention relevant matter that may be of considerable help to the Court in resolving the cited pretrial motions,” Cannon wrote. “The amicus briefs are accepted for Court consideration.”
By allowing the briefs to be admitted onto the court docket, both filings may influence the legal arguments that Cannon could embrace as she prepares to weigh several pretrial motions from the parties in the case.
Meese’s brief argued that Trump’s bid to dismiss the case should be granted on the “Appointments Clause issue, and do so prior to ruling on the other Motions to Dismiss pending in this case.”
“Smith is the classic ’emperor with no clothes,’” Meese’s brief said of Attorney General Merrick Garland’s appointee to head up two criminal indictments against Trump. “He has no more authority to represent the United States in this Court than Tom Brady, Lionel Messi, or Kanye West.”
Meanwhile, AFL’s separate brief argued that the Trump indictment should be thrown out because NARA’s criminal referral to the Justice Department was not in alignment with the Administrative Procedure Act.

Stratcom Gen. Cotton: China Building New Mobile ICBMs

As part of China’s buildup of its nuclear arsenal, the People’s Liberation Army Rocket Force is working on a new generation of mobile intercontinental ballistic missiles, Gen. Anthony Cotton, who took over as commander of the U.S. Strategic Command in December, testified in a closed-door session of the Senate Armed Services Committee.
The testimony was heard on Feb. 29, reports Bill Gertz of The Washington Times, with Cotton, a four-star nuclear forces commander, calling China’s rapid deployment of nuclear missiles, submarines, and bombers “breathtaking.”
Cotton mentioned the new ICBMs in a passage of his prepared testimony, and said that China has more ICBM launchers than the United States.
The Informant at the Heart of the Gretchen Whitmer Kidnapping Plot Was a Liability. So Federal Agents Shut Him Up.

MONTH BEFORE the 2020 presidential election, the Justice Department announced that the FBI had foiled a plot to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, whose pandemic lockdown measures drew harsh criticism from President Donald Trump and his supporters.
The alleged plot coincided with growing concern about far-right political violence in America. But the FBI quickly realized it had a problem:
- Thousands of pages of internal FBI reports and hundreds of hours of undercover recordings obtained by The Intercept offer an extraordinary view into the alleged conspiracy to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.
- The Intercept exclusively obtained a five-hour recording of the FBI’s interrogation of Stephen Robeson, a paid informant central to the alleged kidnapping plot.
- The reports and recordings reveal how the FBI has adapted abusive war-on-terror sting tactics to target perceived domestic extremists and raise questions about whether the FBI pursued a larger effort to encourage political violence ahead of the 2020 election.
- Federal agents running the Whitmer kidnapping investigation put the public in danger to avoid undermining their operation, the files show.
- When FBI agents feared their informant might reveal the investigation’s flaws, they sought to coerce him into silence, at one point telling him: “A saying we have in my office is, ‘Don’t let the facts get in the way of a good story,’ right?”
For the FBI, the stakes in the Whitmer case were high. If defense lawyers learned of Robeson’s role in the kidnapping plot, the FBI agents feared, they’d be accused of entrapment.
Xcel Energy acknowledges role in Texas’ Smokehouse Creek wildfire

“Based on currently available information, Xcel Energy acknowledges that its facilities appear to have been involved in an ignition of the Smokehouse Creek fire,” the company said in a statement Thursday.
Xcel said it has been cooperating with investigations into the wildfires and conducting its own review of the incident since it started. However, the company disputed claims in the same statement that the company acted negligently in maintaining and operating its infrastructure.
“However, we encourage people who had property destroyed by or livestock lost in the Smokehouse Creek fire to submit a claim to Xcel Energy through our claims process,” the statement says.
California sex abuser erupts in ‘profane tirade’ as he’s sentenced to 645 years to life

On Dec. 18, a jury found Edgar Nolverto Guevara, 44, guilty of 11 counts of child molestation and eight counts of forced sex acts on four separate child victims. He was was sentenced to 645 years to life in state prison on Wednesday.
The four victims, who testified in the trial, were under the age of 14 at the time they were assaulted between 2004 and 2022, the news release said.
“For years this defendant used manipulation, force and fear to sexually assault four children,” San Luis Obispo Deputy District Attorney Danielle Baker said at the time of Guevara’s conviction.
Sanctuary State Washington: Illegal Alien Charged with Killing 27-Year-Old State Trooper Christopher Gadd

Raul Benitez Santana, a 33-year-old illegal alien from Mexico with multiple run-ins with the law, has been arrested and charged with vehicular homicide in the death of Gadd.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials confirmed that Santana is an illegal alien who has been living in the sanctuary state of Washington for at least a decade. In May 2013, he was arrested in the state for driving without a license and later sentenced to 90 days in prison for having marijuana.
Then later in 2013 Santana was incarcerated for 90 days after failing to appear in court for charges of driving without a license. In May 2019, he was charged with domestic violence.
Likely thanks to Snohomish County’s sanctuary policy as well as Washington’s sanctuary state law, signed by Gov. Jay Inslee (D) in 2019, Santana was never turned over to ICE agents despite his prior arrests
Police: 8 Suspects Record the Abduction, Torture, and Rape of Alabama Mother Before Killing Her

Videos obtained by the Birmingham Police Department show Mahogany Jackson, 20, being beaten and forced to perform sex acts at gunpoint, Detective Mark Green testified in court Monday.
The mother of one arrived at the home of one of the suspects, 24-year-old Brandon Pope, to hang out with friends on February 25, WBRC reported. However, she was allegedly being set up to be raped and murdered.
Green said the first video shows Jackson naked outside, with 25-year-old Teja Lewis beating her and 23-year-old Si’nya McCall kicking her.
After that, McCall can allegedly be heard directing the others to “put her in the trunk.”
Report: U.S. Sees Spike in Attacks on Christian Churches

In 2023, there were a record number of 436 attacks on Christian churches, which included vandalism, arson, gun-related incidents, and bomb threats, FRC revealed.
These incidents were more than double the number perpetrated in 2022 and more than eight times the number that occurred in 2018, suggesting that hostility against Christian churches in the U.S. “is not only on the rise but also accelerating,” the report found.
In the 11-month span from January to November 2023, there were at least 315 occurrences of vandalism, 75 arson attacks or attempts, 10 gun-related incidents, 20 bomb threats, and 37 other incidents, the report noted.
