Man out on low bail after allegedly raping young stepdaughter has now murdered her, killed himself: Report

On September 7, 2021, a young girl called police to report that her stepfather, Juliano Santana, had raped her on “multiple occasions,” said a press release from Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan, perhaps over the course of several years. The most recent assault had reportedly occurred just one month earlier.
The same day that the girl lodged the accusations, officers arrested Santana, and prosecutors charged him with six counts of aggravated rape of a child.
Despite the quick movement from law enforcement and the heinous accusations against Santana, the district court in Malden, Massachusetts, about five miles north of Boston, issued him bail of just $30,000, which Santana quickly paid.
Santana was originally scheduled to stand trial about a year later, but the case was issued one delay after another. Finally, it had been rescheduled for July 29, 2024. Unfortunately, neither the defendant nor the victim lived to see it.
Around 4 p.m. last Thursday, police in Acton, Massachusetts, received an alarming report that Santana, 49, had kidnapped his stepdaughter as she was walking home from school. Because of the ankle tether, his probation officer soon pinpointed Santana’s location in the parking lot outside his condo.
When cops arrived at the scene, they quickly located Santana’s vehicle. Inside, they found Santana and the girl both dead from apparent gunshot wounds to the head. The girl was just 16 years old at the time of her death, which means she was 12 or 13 the last time Santana allegedly raped her.

Bill Gates-Backed Startup Secures $26 Million for ‘Climate Vaccines’

Climate vaccine developer ArkeaBio has raised $26.5 million in Series A funding to combat climate change by vaccinating livestock.
The company announced this funding last week, stating that their vaccine aims to prevent animals from releasing methane emissions. Once vaccinated with the ArkeaBio shot, an animal’s immune system is designed to create antibodies that target methane-producing microbes.
The Boston-based startup secured its first major investment in late 2022 from Breakthrough Energy Ventures, an investment fund founded by Bill Gates. “Our vaccination-based approach allows for much-needed decarbonization of global meat and dairy products across multiple geographies, supporting greater sustainability in agriculture,” the company explains on its website.
While ArkeaBio has not announced plans for human-targeted climate vaccines, other companies are exploring this possibility. Researchers at Gingko Bioworks, a biotech firm also backed by Gates, have floated mRNA injections as a measure to mitigate global warming. The World Economic Forum has also expressed support for climate vaccines.
Previously deported illegal alien arrested for allegedly dealing meth in Utah — media still tries to hide immigration status

An illegal alien with multiple deportations to his name has been arrested in connection with approximately 50 pounds of methamphetamine seized in the Salt Lake City area.
Last month, Fermin Castro Tovar, a 25-year-old Mexican national in the U.S. illegally, came on the radar of local law enforcement after he allegedly “delivered controlled substances” to a police source, a probable cause statement said.
A GPS tracker was then surreptitiously placed on Tovar’s vehicle, and officers quickly learned he made frequent visits to an apartment where he does not reside.
He acknowledged that he was “being coordinated and directed by a source of supply in Mexico,” the arrest report said. “He admitted to distributing methamphetamine about two times a week in the Salt Lake County area.”
Tovar also allegedly admitted to investigators that the apartment he visits is yet another place to store meth. No one lives there, he said. Agents then got a third warrant to search the apartment, where they reportedly seized another 20 pounds of meth.
Florida Republican Assembly Declares UN, WHO, and WEF as Terrorist Organizations

The Lee County Republican Assembly in Florida, a grassroots conservative organization, has passed a resolution declaring the United Nations (UN), World Health Organization (WHO), and World Economic Forum (WEF) as terrorist organizations. The resolution was introduced by Joseph Samsone and calls for significant legislative measures against these entities.
The resolution also brands cooperation with these organizations as an act of treason against both the United States and the State of Florida. Despite this, the Executive Board of the Lee County Republican Party blocked the resolution from reaching a vote by the full Executive Committee, which was expected to approve it.
The Assembly’s resolution urges the Florida Legislature and Governor Ron DeSantis to enact laws designating collaboration with the UN, WHO, and WEF as treason. The full text of the resolution accuses these organizations of attempting to depopulate humanity and usurp U.S. sovereignty through a global coup.
The resolution specifies:
- The UN, WHO, and WEF are labeled as terrorist organizations.
- Cooperation with these entities is declared treasonous.
- Calls for legislation to prohibit the enforcement of any rules or mandates from these organizations within Florida.
The full text of the resolution follows:

El Salvador’s President Tells Donald Trump Jr.: ‘We Don’t Jail the Opposition’

“And you do it all without having to jail your political opponents,” the former president’s son told Bukele. “Which, I liked in the speech.”
Donald Trump Jr. added that people were “able to video because there’s no more crime” and people do not have to be thrown “in jail.”
“We don’t jail the opposition,” Bukele jokingly responded.
In the 24 hours after Trump’s conviction, the Trump campaign reported raising nearly $53 million in donations.

Another Elderly Pro-Life Activist Sentenced for 2020 D.C. Abortion Clinic Protest

A final pro-life activist was sentenced on Friday to years in prison for protesting at an abortion clinic infamous for late-term abortions in Washington, DC.
Paulette Harlow, 75, was sentenced to 24 months in prison for violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act and “conspiracy against rights” for the 2020 protest at the Washington Surgi-Clinic, according to the Department of Justice (DOJ). She is the ninth and final activist to be sentenced within the past few weeks for the protest.
Unlike her co-defendants — who sat in jail for months awaiting sentencing — Harlow has been on house arrest due to her ill health, according to Live Action News, the online news outlet for the pro-life organization Live Action.
Harlow’s defense attorney Allen Orenberg reportedly said in a statement that Harlow’s health has been rapidly declining and that prison could be detrimental to her condition.
“She cannot continue to exist without support, especially that of her husband,” Orenberg said of Harlow, a mother of six, including four adopted children, and a grandmother of eight, according to the report.

FOX News reported the incident occurred “at the intersection of 89th Street and 23rd Avenue,” following an attempted traffic stop around 1:40 a.m.
The attempted stop resulted in the illegal jumping off his scooter and fleeing, then shooting at the officers as they gave chase.
PIX11 identified the illegal immigrant as 19-year-old Bernardo Raul Castro-Mata, noting he crossed into the U.S. at Eagle Pass, Texas, in July of 2023.

Officer Mitchell was fatally wounded.
Subsequent responding officers reportedly exchanged gunfire with Mohamed, killing him.

US-Made M270 and HIMARS Hammer Targets Inside Russia, First Cross-Border Strikes Since Biden Green Light

Ukrainian forces waited less than 24 hours after getting the green light from Washington, London, Paris and Berlin to hammer targets inside Russia with precision-guided munitions fired by top-end made-in-the-USA artillery, according to reports, firing dozens of long-range rocket salvoes across the border.
Heavy Russian artillery systems, troop concentrations and at least one major bridge appeared to be the focus of the Ukrainian strikes starting in the early morning hours of Sunday.
Russian officials confirmed the attacks took place and major Russian media identified the weapons used as M42 missiles fired by the track-mounted M270 rocket launcher and the wheel-mounted HIMARS rocket launcher.
Both systems and their ammunition are made in the US. The administration of US President Joe Biden on Friday announced it would allow Kyiv’s use of the powerful weapons against targets in Russia, as Forbes reported “erasing a red line.”
4 more hostages found dead, Israel says

he Israeli military on Monday confirmed the deaths of four more hostages held by Hamas — including three older men seen in a Hamas video begging for their release.
The three men, Amiram Cooper, Yoram Metzger and Haim Peri, were all age 80 or older. Looking weak and wary, they appeared in a video in December released by Hamas under the title, “Don’t let us grow old here.”
The fourth hostage was identified as Nadav Popplewell.
Israel’s military spokesman, Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, said the four men died together in the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis when Israel was operating there. The cause of death was not immediately known.
“We are checking all of the options,” Hagari said. “There are a lot of questions.”

He added, “We’re going to beat these people. I’m not trying to be dramatic, but it’s been a hard fight.”

Farage Calls for ‘Political Revolt’, Says Chance of Getting More Votes Than Tories Nationally

Nigel Farage is returning to the leadership of the Reform UK Party, formerly the Brexit Party which he founded, and will stand for election in Clacton, a seat where his former party UKIP previously enjoyed electoral success.
However, the Brexit leader made clear his ambitions were more national and long-term than merely looking to one seat at next month’s general election, as he laid out a plan for the next elections in five years and beyond.
Even so, this election could see a major upset, Farage said, clearly buoyed by a major new poll today that shows the Conservative Party of Rishi Sunak — essentially the default governing party of the United Kingdom for two centuries — heading for a wipeout defeat.

Oregon defendants who do not have a lawyer must be released from jail, US appeals court rules

A federal appeals court upheld a ruling that defendants in Oregon who have been in jail for more than seven days without a defense attorney must be released from custody.
The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals wrote in its 2-1 decision on Friday that Oregon’s public defense system is a “Sixth Amendment nightmare,” referring to the part of the U.S. Constitution that guarantees people accused of crimes the right to a lawyer, OPB reported.
The court emphasized that Oregon is responsible for ensuring legal protections for criminal defendants.
Writing for the majority, Circuit Judge John Owens wrote Friday that the situation in Oregon violates a 60-year-old U.S. Supreme Court ruling, Gideon v. Wainwright, which found that anyone charged with a crime had a constitutional right to a defense lawyer, even if they cannot afford one.
