NY Times: Feds Naturalizing Illegals To ‘Reshape Electorate Before November’

“The federal government is processing citizenship requests at the fastest clip in a decade, moving rapidly through a backlog that built up during the Trump administration and the coronavirus pandemic,” reports the newspaper.
Modernity.news reports: One Honduran woman marveled at the fact that authorities were able to process and approve her application in as little as six months.
The story highlights how many of these new citizens will immediately become eligible to vote in key battleground states, including Georgia, Arizona, Nevada and Pennsylvania.
The piece includes a very revealing quote from Xiao Wang, chief executive of Boundless, a data analysis company.
“The surge in naturalization efficiency isn’t just about clearing backlogs; it’s potentially reshaping the electorate, merely months before a pivotal election,” said Wang.
“Every citizenship application could be a vote that decides Senate seats or even the presidency,” he added.

American Society of Plastic Surgeons calls efficacy of child sex changes into question, breaks from ‘gender affirming’ approach

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons, representing 11,000 members or over 90 percent of those working in the field in the US and Canada, has raised concerns over surgical sex changes for minors, telling Manhattan Institute fellow Leor Sapir that “the existing evidence base is viewed as low quality/low certainty.”
The organization told Sapir that it “has not endorsed any organization’s practice recommendations for the treatment of adolescents with gender dysphoria,” and acknowledged that there is “considerable uncertainty as to the long-term efficacy for the use of chest and genital surgical interventions.”
The ASPS said that it “is reviewing and prioritizing several initiatives that best support evidence-based gender surgical care to provide guidance to plastic surgeons.” The organization’s statement, Sapir said, marked the first major medical organization in the country to break away from the consensus that “gender-affirming care” for gender dysphoric youth.
Beverly Hills, California plastic surgeon Sheila Nazarian told Sapir that her colleagues are increasingly expressing concerns over the use of hormones and surgeries on minors, but fear blowback…..
Harris-sponsored Google ads put news outlets in a tough spot

The Harris campaign has been editing news headlines and descriptions within Google search ads that make it appear as if the Guardian, Reuters, CBS News and other major publishers are on her side, Axios has found.
Why it matters: It’s a common practice in the commercial advertising world that doesn’t violate Google’s policies, but the ads mimic real news results from Search closely enough that they have news outlets caught off guard.
- According to Google’s ad transparency center, the Trump campaign isn’t running these types of ads, but this technique has been used by campaigns before.
- The ads say that they are sponsored, but it’s not immediately clear that the text that accompanies real news links is written by the campaigns and not by the media publication itself.
What they’re saying: “While we understand why an organization might wish to align itself with the Guardian’s trusted brand, we need to ensure it is being used appropriately and with our permission. We’ll be reaching out to Google for more information about this practice,” a Guardian spokesperson said.
- Spokespeople for brands such as CNN, USA Today and NPR, whose links appeared in Harris for President ads, said they were unaware their brand was being featured this way.
Zoom in: Since August 3rd, nearly a dozen news companies have been used in these types of search ads from the Harris campaign, Axios found.
- Examples include The Independent UK, NPR, AP, The Guardian, USA Today, PBS, CNN, CBS News, Time and others, including local outlets like North Dakota radio station WDAY Radio.
Media Attack Lines Were Written Before Musk and Trump Uttered a Single Word

The usual suspects were out in force ahead of former President Donald Trump’s Monday night interview with tech titan Elon Musk on X. As panic began to set in among the “enlightened” class over what Trump might say, warnings of the disinformation and misinformation that was sure to come filled the airwaves.
The opening salvo came from a surprising source – European Union Commissioner Thierry Breton – who reminded Musk of the EU’s content rules in a Monday morning letter. Mary Chastain covered that story here.
At any rate, following a delayed start due to technical issues, the event that Trump called “the interview of the century” began.
And two hours later, the press pounced. As they say on Fox News, the “bat signal” went out from the Democratic National Committee or whatever entity it is that disseminates the narrative of the day to the legacy media. And predictably, the event was widely panned by all.
Below is a round-up of the largely negative media reaction to the interview.
Man sexually assaults mom on walk with newborn, CA officials say. ‘He would not stop’

A man has been charged after he was accused of sexually and physically assaulting a new mother on a walk with her newborn, California prosecutors say.
Prosecutors charged Abraham Shily, 26, with one felony count of assault with a deadly weapon, along with four misdemeanors, including sexual battery, child abuse and false imprisonment, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office said in an Aug. 9 news release.
As the mother was walking her 1-month-old in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Brentwood at about 4:30 p.m. July 16, Shily approached, prosecutors said.
He then sexually and physically assaulted her, prosecutors said. “He grabbed me by the hips, and he just started thrusting himself into me,” the woman, Carmina Lu, told KTTV.
“He’s thrusting his hips into my hips from behind, grabbing me by the hips very aggressively. And he would not stop.” Lu told KCAL she fought back…….
ICE finds, arrests Haitian migrant who was released on $500 bond after being charged with raping child in MA

Agents with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement have located and arrested a Haitian immigrant who had previously been released on a $500 bond despite facing charges of raping a child in Massachusetts.
ICE had issued a detainer on the suspect, Cory Alvarez, but the local sheriff’s office ignored it and released the 26-year-old on a low bail number. A detainer is a request by which authorities alert ICE about an individual they believe to be subject to deportation so they can take the individual into federal custody and deport that person.
Alvarez was arrested in a so-called sanctuary city and the detainer was therefore ignored.
Alvarez’s charges relate to a March incident in which he was accused of raping a 15-year-old girl while staying at a migrant hotel in Massachusetts. A lawyer representing him says he is innocent of the charges.

Facebook Denies Liability in Supreme Court Harvested Voter Data Case

The statement offers a preview of Facebook’s arguments in Facebook Inc. v. Amalgamated Bank, which the nation’s highest court is scheduled to hear on Nov. 6.
The Supreme Court will look at whether the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit erred last year when it allowed a multibillion-dollar lawsuit by shareholders to proceed based on allegations that Facebook inflated share prices by failing to disclose on a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission form that its users’ data had been misused.
In the new filing, Facebook said the Ninth Circuit misinterpreted the law and that “its judgment should be reversed.” The company said it did not mislead shareholders by leaving out the incident involving U.K.-based Cambridge Analytica.
The scandal led to government investigations and Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook parent Meta Platforms Inc., was called to testify before Congress in April 2018.
In a separate case, Meta agreed in December 2022 to pay out $725 million to settle a class-action proceeding that claimed the company allowed third parties, including Cambridge Analytica, to gain access to as many as 87 million users’ personal information…..
Former Cornell Student Gets 21 Months in Prison for Posting Violent Threats to Jewish Students

Patrick Dai, of suburban Rochester, New York was accused by federal officials in October of posting anonymous threats to shoot and stab Jewish people on a Greek life forum. The threats came during a spike in anti-Semitic and anti-Muslim rhetoric related to the war and rattled Jewish students on the upstate New York campus.
Dai pleaded guilty in April to posting threats to kill or injure another person using interstate communications.
He was sentenced in federal court to 21 months in prison and three years of supervised release by Judge Brenda Sannes, according to federal prosecutors.
The judge said Dai “substantially disrupted campus activity” and committed a hate crime, but noted his diagnosis of autism, his mental health struggles, and his non-violent history, according to cnycentral.com…..
Social Security Adds 9 Health Conditions That Qualify for Expedited Benefits

Many conditions on the program’s list are rare diseases, although some are more common.
With the latest changes, the Compassionate Allowances program now covers 287 conditions, including several types of cancers and brain disorders. All of the conditions on the list cause severe and obvious disabilities, and many are considered terminal illnesses.
When the program launched in 2008, only 50 conditions qualified for Compassionate Allowances.
New conditions have been added periodically based on recommendations from medical and scientific experts, according to the SSA. Members of the public may also suggest a condition or disease for inclusion.
More than 1 million people with conditions eligible for Compassionate Allowances have received benefits through the expedited process. Due to the severe nature of many of those conditions, claims are often approved based on medical confirmation of the diagnosis alone…..
‘She Turned Ghost White:’ How a Ragtag Group of Friends Tracked Down a Sex Trafficking Ringleader

Michael Pratt hid a massive sex trafficking ring in plain sight on PornHub. On the run from the FBI, an unexpected crew of ex-military, ex-intelligence officers and a lawyer tracked him down using his love of rare sneakers and crypto. For the first time, the group tells their story.
The team had few clues as to Pratt’s location and weren’t themselves law enforcement, but with their combined expertise—as career spies, ex-military undercover agents, legal experts and manhunters—they’d built a dossier of the fugitive as a serial gambler, audacious and vindictive risk-taker, cryptocurrency enthusiast, and rare sneaker collector, on top of being a longtime sex trafficker.
Pratt fled the U.S. in the middle of a massive civil trial in 2019—where 22 victims sued him and his co-conspirators for $22 million—and just before being charged with federal counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud and coercion. (Today, there are more than 100 women who’ve come forward in lawsuits as victims of Girls Do Porn.)
Facing life in prison, Pratt was a fugitive, but investigators hadn’t been able to apprehend him. He’d been wanted by the FBI for two years when the small team of open-source and human intelligence experts—who called themselves OP Phoenix Fury, after DeBarber’s investigative firm—decided to try to find Pratt themselves. They had traced Pratt to Barcelona, Spain…..

Mob of 30 teens on bicycles caught on video brutally beating up, robbing lone man in street: ‘This is what LA has come to’

Amob of about 30 teenagers on bicycles were caught on video brutally beating up and robbing a lone man in downtown Los Angeles earlier this month, KTLA-TV reported.
You can view the station’s video report — which includes cellphone video of the attack and an interview with the victim — here.
Shailoobek Bazarbai Uulu told KTLA he was stopped at a red light at the intersection of Olympic Boulevard and Hope Street on Aug. 2 when the group pulled in front of his vehicle.
When the light turned green, Uulu told the station he attempted to pass them when “one of them threw a bottle of water in my car. So, I don’t know what happened.”
Uulu then pulled over and exited his car, after which he said the group surrounded him, KTLA reported.
The station said a witness captured video of what happened next: The mob of teens assaulted Uulu, stole his property — including his backpack and wallet — from his vehicle, shattered the car’s windows, and repeatedly stomped on the vehicle’s hood and trunk.
“It’s a been a week, and no one has been arrested,” he noted to KTLA. “They stole my bank cards, and they even tried to use it a few days later.”
Uulu also told the station the teens caused $20,000 worth of damage to his car. A GoFundMe for the victim has raised over $11,000 as of Monday afternoon.
“I am alone here and never thought that I could find myself in such a situation,” he added to KTLA.
Break-in at Trump campaign office — unidentified suspect still at large

Photographs of the suspect have been released to the public in an attempt to identify him as he remains at large. The images appear to show the man either opening or placing items into his backpack. However, authorities have not confirmed whether anything was taken from the office.
The reported break-in comes just one day after the campaign confirmed that an Iranian group hacked its internal communications in June, Blaze News previously reported.
As part of the breach, hackers released a 271-page document that listed publicly available information about vice presidential nominee Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio). The document noted Vance’s previous criticisms of Trump, which were labeled as “potential vulnerabilities.” Hackers also leaked part of a similar report regarding research on Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), who was one of Trump’s top potential running-mate picks.
Microsoft released a report Friday that claimed an “Iranian group, this one connected with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, or IRGC, sent a spear phishing email in June to a high-ranking official on a presidential campaign.” However, the report did not identify the targeted presidential campaign…..
