California moves ahead with $0 downpayment ‘loans’ for new homes for illegal immigrants
The California Senate Appropriations Committee has moved full speed ahead to allow illegal immigrants the opportunity to make use of the state’s zero-money-down, no-payment, “loan” program for buying a home. The move from the state chamber comes amidst the ongoing illegal immigration crisis at the southern border.
According to The Center Square, bill author Assemblymember Joaquin Arambula, D-Fresno wrote of the bill, “The social and economic benefits of homeownership should be available to everyone. As such, the California Dream for All Program should be available to all.”
“When undocumented individuals are excluded from such programs, they miss out on a crucial method of securing financial security and personal stability for themselves and their families,” it added.
Bill AB1840 has already passed the state Assembly and will now move onto the floor of the Senate for a vote. The program allows for applicants to get “loans” for up to 20 percent of their home’s price, with zero down payment on the loan and no payments on the loan.
Washington spends about $3 billion a year on food stamps for noncitizens
Every year, the United States has allowed between 1.47 million to 1.86 million noncitizens to receive food stamps from the federal government at a cost of almost $3 billion a year.
That is according to annual reports from the U.S. Department of Agriculture for its Supplement Nutritional Assistance Program.
“Only U.S. citizens and certain lawfully present non-citizens may receive SNAP benefits,” said Hal Sullivan, spokesperson for the USDA in an email to The Center Square. “SNAP is not and has never been available to undocumented non-citizens. Non-citizens like tourists and students are generally not eligible. Non-citizens who are eligible based on their immigration status must meet SNAP eligibility requirements, such as income and resource limits, and may also need to meet a waiting period.”
Noncitizens eligible for food stamps include refugees, individuals granted asylum, victims of severe trafficking, people who have had their deportation withheld, Amerasians, Cuban and Haitian entrants, Iraqi and Afghan special immigrants, Green Card holders, battered non-citizens, conditional entrants and those granted parole for a period of at least one year are eligible for SNAP.
As of April 2024, SNAP had 41.58 million participants with annual benefits costing about $90 billion…
15 states sue Biden-Harris administration for enrolling noncitizens in Obamacare
A coalition of states led by Kansas has sued the Biden-Harris administration to block the federal government from providing free health care through the taxpayer-funded Affordable Care Act, otherwise known as Obamacare, to foreign nationals in the U.S. illegally.
Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach filed the lawsuit in U.S. District Court for the District of North Dakota Western Division and was joined by attorneys general from 14 states. The U.S. government and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services are named as defendants.
At issue is a CMS final rule change called, “Clarifying the Eligibility of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) Recipients and Certain Other NonCitizens for a Qualified Health Plan Through an Exchange, Advance Payments of the Premium Tax Credit, Cost-Sharing Reductions, a Basic Health Program.” In it, CMS redefines the legal term of “lawfully present” to include DACA recipients.
When Congress enacted the ACA, it limited eligibility only to “citizen[s] or national[s] of the United States [and] aliens lawfully present in the United States.” By changing the definition of “lawfully present” to include DACA recipients, CMS is enabling them to have access to taxpayer-funded ACA coverage.
Doing so violates the Administrative Procedures Act, federal law that prohibits taxpayer-funded benefits from being given to illegal foreign nationals, and the Affordable Care Act, the complaint states…..

Democrats Are More Committed To Destroying America Than Republicans Are To Saving It
This week’s Democrat National Convention (DNC) offers a clarifying moment in modern U.S. politics — and not for the reason people may think.
After just one day, Democrats have produced enough crazy to fill a swimming pool ten times over.
From offering free abortions and vasectomies to attendees, to bragging about using lawfare to target their political opponents, the list of left-wing extremism coming out of the convention is getting longer by the second.
And what, you may ask, are Speaker Mike Johnson and House Republicans doing this week to counter-message this insanity?
Virtually nothing.
While Democrats espouse their radicalism to the country, Republicans couldn’t even be bothered to stay in Washington, D.C. Most representatives are currently back in their districts as part of Congress’s annual “August recess” and won’t return to town until Sept. 9.
If Johnson and GOP leadership actually cared about providing a contrasting vision from that produced by Democrats, they’d put their majority to good use. This means spending the August recess holding daily congressional hearings that underscore the severity of the ongoing border invasion and making the case to the American public on why government funding should be withheld next month unless the Biden-Harris administration fixes the crisis.
But Republicans aren’t doing any of that…..

DOJ Bullies Cities to Revoke Crime-Free Housing Laws it says “Unfairly Penalize Communities of Color”
The Biden administration is threatening—and has sued—local governments and law enforcement agencies across the country that have implemented measures to curb an epidemic of crime, drugs and gang violence in rental properties asserting that the policies “unfairly penalize communities of color.”
The popular laws, enacted by thousands of cities nationwide are commonly known as “crime-free” and “nuisance” programs that restrict housing based on criminal and arrest records and punish landlords and tenants with excessive calls to police and emergency services or those engaged in criminal activity.
To improve living conditions in mainly low-income rentals 2,000 cities across 48 states have adopted crime-free and nuisance policies, according to the Department of Justice (DOJ), which has legally challenged many of the measures in the last few years claiming that they are discriminatory and therefore violate federal law.
In its widely distributed warning, addressed to “Dear Colleague,” the agency lists examples of how it has successfully challenged the laws around the country, apparently an intimidation tactic since it can be daunting—and financially impossible—for local governments to take on the federal government with its vast resources.
Examples include Hesperia, California repealing its policies and paying nearly $1 million in “relief” after the feds sued the southern California desert city with a population of around 100,000. ….

4 Children Shot in Stolen Car in Minneapolis
The initial investigation determined five minors were inside a stolen Kia with one of them driving, when a dark-colored sedan began following, and someone inside fired an automatic weapon.
“What happened here—one car chasing another car with fully automatic gunfire—it just shows really brazen and callous behavior. They don’t care about their own lives, let alone the lives of other people,” O’Hara said.
The Minneapolis Data Source crime summary shows car thefts in 2024 sit at 4,251 compared to 5,483 in 2023. Despite the decrease, O’Hara says incidents of minors stealing cars have been linked to more serious crimes.
“While there are fewer cars being stolen, again, the cars that are being stolen here, particularly among juveniles, are connected to more and more serious crimes, and that’s across the board. Robberies, assaults, you name it.”
O’Hara stated that two minors involved in the incident were arrested two weeks ago for stealing a car.
“We are failing to deter this behavior and with that being said we are failing these kids as well. Four kids shot between 11 and 14 is outrageous and everyone should be up in arms over it.”
Chicago Democrats let anti-Israel protesters march, but block pro-Israel Jews during DNC
This week, citizens will gather in Chicago during the Democratic National Convention to voice their support for Israel and protest the abuses of Hamas.
However, this largely Jewish gathering will not be marching.
Instead, they will gather on a small private lot blocks away from the convention as thousands of pro-Palestinian protesters march through the streets.
The reason is that Democratic Mayor Brandon Johnson has refused to grant their request for a permit.
While pro-Palestinian protesters have been given an array of accommodations by the city (and received a shoutout from President Biden in his convention address), the Jewish protesters are only able to gather due to the donation of a private lot by an owner for their use….

Georgia mayor arrested on felony charges after allegedly storing alcohol in a ditch for inmates
Thomson Mayor Benjamin “Benji” Cary Cranford, 52, was indicted on Wednesday and arrested by Georgia Bureau of Investigation agents on felony charges of furnishing prohibited items to inmates and attempt to commit a felony, WRDW-TV reported.
The indictment, issued in McDuffie County Superior Court, accuses Cranford of driving to a store on June 3, purchasing a bottle of Seagram’s Extra Dry Gin and leaving it in a ditch along Cobbham Road in Thomson, Georgia, in the path of a work crew of state prisoners from the Jefferson County Correctional Institution.
Cranford was taken into custody at Thomson City Hall by GBI agents following a city council meeting and booked into the McDuffie County Jail, according to WRDW-TV. He was released Wednesday on $5,000 bail…..

Report: DNC Speakers Mention ‘Trump’ 130 More Times than ‘Crime,’ ‘Inflation,’ and ‘Border’ Combined
The Harris campaign avoids the issues because it is caught in a so-called “catch-22.”
Speaking about policies to fix crime, inflation, and border security would undermine the Biden-Harris administration’s claim of having solved those issues. Focusing on “Trump” instead of the issues is a convenient strategy to avoid that paradoxical situation.
The “Trump” centric approach also suggested a double standard among media elites. Nearly all the mentions of “Trump” during Monday’s programming were personal insults to the president, which were cast as either fair or accurate. IDF Recovers Remains of 6 Hostages Killed in Gaza

No, Biden and Harris’ Border Crisis Is Not Over
Ever since early 2021, Americans have watched as illegal aliens have flooded across the Southwest border unimpeded. They have read with horror the accounts of innocent Americans victimized by those here unlawfully. They have seen family and friends die after being poisoned by fentanyl coming across the border. For many families, like those of Laken Riley, Rachel Morin, and Jocelyn Nungaray, the damage can never be undone.
But if Biden and Harris want to talk about numbers, the president and his “border czar” will find no exoneration.
