Scientists Find ‘Tiny Shards’ of Plastic in Lungs, Placentas and Other Human Organs
A growing body of scientific evidence shows that microplastics are accumulating in critical human organs, including the brain, alarming findings that highlight a need for more urgent actions to rein in plastic pollution, researchers say.
Different studies have detected tiny shards and specks of plastics in human lungs, placentas, reproductive organs, livers, kidneys, knee and elbow joints, blood vessels and bone marrow.
Given the research findings, “it is now imperative to declare a global emergency” to deal with plastic pollution, said Sedat Gündoğdu, who studies microplastics at Cukurova University in Turkey.
Humans are exposed to microplastics — defined as fragments smaller than five millimeters in length — and the chemicals used to make plastics from widespread plastic pollution in air, water and even food.
The health hazards of microplastics within the human body are not yet well-known.
Recent studies are just beginning to suggest these particles could increase the risk of various conditions such as oxidative stress, which can lead to cell damage and inflammation, as well as cardiovascular disease…..

William Thompson, Ph.D., a CDC senior scientist, on Aug. 27, 2014, issued a statement through his attorney revealing that he and his colleagues at the CDC omitted data from a 2004 article in Pediatrics that “suggested that African American males who received the MMR vaccine before age 36 months were at increased risk for autism.”
“Decisions were made regarding which findings to report after the data were collected, and I believe that the final protocol was not followed,” Thompson wrote.
Since then, the CDC has continued to assert that “studies have shown there is no link between vaccines and ASD,” autism spectrum disorder.
Meanwhile, the agency also reports that autism rates have continued to climb — 1 in 36 children now have autism according to its most recent study.
For the first time since the agency began doing autism prevalence studies in 2000, in 2023 the CDC also reported that autism rates were higher among Black, Hispanic and Asian/Pacific Islander children than among white and biracial children…..
‘Medicating Normal’: Documentary Explores Dark Side of Psychotropic Medications
Benzodiazepines are a class of psychotropic medications used to treat anxiety disorders. They work by promoting the release of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), a neurotransmitter, thus slowing down the nervous system.
However, they’re prone to abuse, and when taken for years, can cause harmful side effects — many of which have not yet been fully identified and studied.
The documentary film “Medicating Normal,” (see video below) produced and directed by filmmaking duo Lynn Cunningham and Wendy Ractliffe, sheds light on this problem.
The film was inspired by a relative of Cunningham, who, at one point, was taking 10 pills daily, and she wanted to raise awareness about it.
The film follows several people over three years, taking a deep, intimate look at how long-term abuse of psychotropic medications affected their lives.
It opens with the story of Dave Cope, a former U.S. Navy officer who was forced to retire from service due to chronic use of Ativan (lorazepam), a type of benzodiazepine, during his time in grad school. During this period, he was also diagnosed with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and prescribed amphetamines….

On Friday, celebrity transvestite RuPaul hosted a drag show called “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars LIVE” at Music Hall at Fair Park, a city park in Dallas. Gonzales not only attended the event but also captured video of some of the performance as well as some of her fellow attendees, some of whom were clearly underage.

California Political Corruption Hits New Heights
In the past decade, hundreds of public officials in California have been convicted on federal corruption charges, The New York Times reported Thursday.
According to the Department of Justice, in the last 10 years, 576 public officials have been found guilty of federal corruption, in what authorities called an “extraordinary” wave, the Times reported.
Perhaps none to the extent of one former city councilman, José Huizar, according to the Times.
Huizar’s rags to riches story led to a seat on the Los Angeles City Council, where he found himself in charge of approving multimillion-dollar developments.
Huizar was caught accepting bribes in exchange for favors, and this week, he is scheduled to report to prison after a judge sentenced him to 13 years in prison on charges of racketeering and tax evasion. He is the third recent former council member to go down, according to the Times.

Six more deaths linked to Boar’s Head listeria outbreak
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has declared this the largest listeria outbreak since 2011, when the bacteria was linked to cantaloupe.
About 14 more illnesses and six more deaths have been reported since early August as the outbreak tied to the meats sliced at deli counters, including Boar’s Head brand liverwurst, persisted, according to the CDC’s latest update published Wednesday.
As of Wednesday, 57 people have been infected with the outbreak strain of listeria across 18 states, all of whom have been hospitalized. This includes a pregnant woman from Minnesota suing Boar’s Head after she claims she “nearly lost her unborn child” when infected by listeria after eating the company’s deli meat sold at a Publix supermarket in Florida.
Nine people have died – one in Illinois, one in New Jersey, one in Virginia, one in Florida, one in Tennessee, one in New Mexico, one in New York and two in South Carolina, the CDC said. …

Video shows armed gang at troubled Colorado apartment building believed to have been taken over by migrants
Potential gang activity was caught on surveillance camera in a Colorado apartment building after what one former resident calls “no accountability” kept law enforcement from assisting.
The video shows many men armed with handguns, and one with a scoped rifle, bursting through the door of the apartment complex for unknown reasons.
The group appears to be Tren de Aragua, or TdA, a transnational gang based out of Venezuela. The gang, with reportedly 5,000 members, has a motto of “real until death,” or “real hasta la muerte.”
TdA is now linked with over 100 crimes across the nation, according to reporting from the New York Post.

A U.S. veteran and former member of the Presidential Honor Guard defended former President Trump’s appearance at Arlington National Cemetery this week amid reports of an altercation between Arlington staff and the Trump campaign.
The veteran, Lucas O’Hara, said on social media that he worked at Arlington for three years during his time in the military, and he lauded Trump’s composure at the event. Meanwhile, the Trump campaign is facing criticism following reports that cemetery staff warned them not to take photographs at the Monday event.
“I have witnessed over 75 wreath laying ceremonies performed by politicians and conducted 524 funerals in this cemetery during the time I served in the Presidential Honor Guard for three years. What I got to witness yesterday was the most respectful and solemn ceremony I have seen,” O’Hara wrote.

Police fatally shoot man on New Hampshire-Maine bridge along I-95; child, 8, found dead in vehicle
The Piscataqua River Bridge along Interstate 95 has been closed since about 3 a.m. and traffic was backed up on both sides as drivers were diverted to two other bridges. The Piscataqua bridge connects Portsmouth, New Hampshire, to Kittery, Maine.
The incident appears to have started with a man killing a woman at a home overnight in Troy, New Hampshire, about 100 miles (160 kilometers) away in the western part of the state, and then driving to the bridge, Attorney General John Formella said in a news release.
“Early this morning police engaged with the adult male on the bridge in an incident that ended with the male being fatally shot. The Maine Attorney General’s Office is now investigating that officer-involved shooting incident,” the news release said.
“Police on the bridge also found an 8-year-old child fatally shot” in the man’s vehicle, the news release said. “The exact circumstances surrounding this incident remain under active investigation.”

Biden-Harris Slush Fund: DHS Showers Millions on Sanctuary Cities, NGOs for Resettling Migrants in U.S.
DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas made the announcement on Wednesday.
Specifically, more than $380 million worth of Shelter and Services Program (SSP) grants will go to local and state governments, as well as NGOs, “that are providing critical support such as food, shelter, clothing, acute medical care, and transportation” to migrants “recently released from DHS custody and awaiting their immigration court proceedings.”
The Biden-Harris administration created SSP, funded by Congress, to deliver taxpayer money to cities and NGOs helping resettle migrants after they are released into the U.S. interior from the southern border.
This latest round of hundreds of millions in SSP grants to sanctuary cities and NGOs comes after millions were awarded earlier this year — serving as a boondoggle for those aiding in resettling migrants….

Philadelphia Police: Illegal MS-13 Gang Member Charged with Shooting at Moving Vehicles
“An illegal immigrant is facing up to eight counts of attempted murder after shooting at multiple passing vehicles,” reported WLBT.
Captain Desmond Jones with the Philadelphia Police Department told the outlet that 39-year-old Fredy Antonio Amaya-Marin shot at moving vehicles with no motive.
Upon his arrest, police did not even know his real name and he had been calling himself Jonathan Salvador while in the United States.
His identity was later revealed with the help of Homeland Security immigration agents after they took his fingerprints. He had been deported back to El Salvador in 2007 before illegally reentering the country again some years later. Per WLBT:….
