House GOP accuses Kamala Harris of using Zelensky as campaign surrogate, launches ‘foreign interference’ inquiry
House Republicans launched an investigation Wednesday of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s visit to battleground Pennsylvania this week — describing it as an apparent campaign stop to benefit Vice President Kamala Harris.
Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) demanded communications about Zelensky’s visit to a Scranton ammunition factory with Democratic Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, a key supporter of the Democratic presidential nominee.
Comer likened Zelensky’s Sunday trip — during which the Ukrainian leader was flown on an Air Force C-17 cargo jet — to former President Donald Trump’s pressure on Zelensky to investigate alleged corruption by President Biden’s family, for which Trump was impeached in 2019.

Judge to Approve Auctions Liquidating Alex Jones’ Infowars to Help Pay Sandy Hook Families
Alex Jones‘ Infowars media platform and its assets will be sold off piece by piece in auctions this fall to help pay the more than $1 billion he owes relatives of victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, under an order expected to be approved by a federal judge.
U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Christopher Lopez in Houston said during a court hearing Tuesday that he will approve the auctions that start in November. But he said he first must change a previous order to make it clear that the trustee overseeing Jones’ personal bankruptcy case controls all the assets of Infowars parent company Free Speech Systems, which is owned 100% by Jones.
Despite the pending loss of his company, Jones vows to continue his talk shows through other means, possibly including a new website and his personal social media accounts. He also has suggested that Infowars’ assets could be bought by his supporters, allowing him to continue hosting his show as an employee under the Infowars brand in their home city of Austin, Texas.
“It’s very cut and dry that the assets of Free Speech Systems, the website, the equipment, the shopping cart, all that, can be sold,” Jones said on a recent show. “And they know full well that there are a bunch of patriot buyers, and then the operation can ease on.”….

What’s behind China’s launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile
China test-fired an intercontinental ballistic missile into the Pacific Ocean on Wednesday in a rare occurrence, adding to tensions in the region where multiple countries have overlapping territorial claims and both Beijing and Washington seek to project their influence.
The launch was part of routine training by the People’s Liberation Army’s Rocket Force, which is in charge of conventional and nuclear missile operations, and was not aimed at any country or target, the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
The ICBM, carrying a dummy warhead, landed in a designated area in the sea, the ministry said, without specifying where exactly.
China rarely tests ICBMs out in international waters, with some experts tracing the last such deployment back to May 1980, when Beijing launched a DF-5 missile into the South Pacific. Usually, the PLA test-fires ballistic missiles in China’s remote Xinjiang region or in the Bohai Sea.
China choosing the Pacific Ocean as the location for test-firing its missile comes across as both a display of its increased nuclear capabilities and as a warning to the United States and its allies in the region, experts say.
“There is no other potential audience, as China does not expect to have to confront the EU or the U.K. militarily,” said Steve Tsang, director of the SOAS China Institute in London.
The test also comes weeks ahead of an expected call between Chinese leader Xi Jinping and U.S. President Joe Biden. It marks an increase in regional security tensions with U.S. allies Japan and the Philippines, and a continuation of frictions with the self-ruled island of Taiwan, which Beijing claims as its own territory.
Taiwan’s Defense Ministry said Wednesday it was monitoring the missile launch, along with other military exercises by China in the region.
The launch, coinciding with the U.N. General Assembly meeting in New York, “is a pretty blunt signal” to the international order, said Drew Thompson, a senior fellow at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies in Singapore and a former U.S. defense official…..

Over the last month, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has made at least six arrests on the islands as part of a larger operation to detain illegal immigrant suspects accused of particularly egregious crimes in the beach towns favored by the Biden and Obama families.
“I think many people are concerned about the violent illegal population. … The biggest thing is obviously not knowing anybody’s history if they’re here illegally. The legal immigrants will even discuss that,” Toby Brown, chair of the Nantucket GOP, told Fox News Digital.
“It’s such a small island that I find that things have gotten a little worse here on Nantucket,” he said, though he also noted there are multiple reasons why crime and poverty seemed to have increased on the island in recent years.
Those are problems the ultrawealthy island residents seem to be removed from, he said.

Google search favors Harris over Trump, places articles with ‘leftist bias’ atop GOP nominee’s site: study
Google has featured Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign website in a more desirable location on its search engine results than former President Trump’s official site, according to a new study by the Media Research Center.
“Google is trying to stack the deck in favor of Kamala Harris,” Media Research Center founder Brent Bozell told Fox News Digital.
“Google’s search engine pushes left-wing media articles favoring Kamala Harris and slamming Donald Trump,” he added. “Don’t trust Google searches.”
MRC Free Speech America researchers analyzed the Sept. 6 search results of two separate searches: “Donald Trump presidential race 2024” and “Kamala Harris presidential race 2024.”
The conservative media watchdog wanted to determine where Google Search would position each candidate’s presidential campaign website but found different results, which favored Harris.
“In the past, Google buried the campaign websites of Republican candidates. Now the search giant very clearly pads its search results about political candidates with leftist legacy news articles, many of which are hostile to Republicans and either neutral or favorable toward Democrats,” MRC Free Speech America associate editor Gabriela Pariseau wrote when recapping the findings.
“But before reaching Trump’s website, readers would see options to click on seven articles from left-wing sources. The New York Times, Politico and The Washington Post were listed under the ‘Top Stories’ panel,” Pariseau wrote.
“Once MRC researchers reached the actual search results, Google displayed a link to an article from The Economist titled ‘Donald Trump v Kamala Harris: who’s ahead in the polls?’ Additionally, the results showed CNN’s elections page along with a link to its live election updates. Google also displayed a link to NBC’s live election updates page,” she added, noting that MRC NewsBusters Executive Editor Tim Graham found “blatant leftist bias” in many articles suggested by Google…..
