NATO: Full Measure with Sharyl Attkisson
The U.S. is one of 32 nations belonging to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization or NATO. The alliance is 75 years old this year. Because of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, there’s arguably never been more focus on its role of collective defense. And a political flashpoint: the huge cost.
Today we travel to Poland where the U.S. is taking a lead role near what could be a staging ground if Russia should do the unthinkable.

Scandinavia moves to counter escalating cross-border gang violence

Sweden has been grappling with an uptick in gang violence for years, and fresh statistics for shootings, explosions and gun-related killings show no sign of flatlining.
This year, 34 people have been killed by guns in 202 shooting incidents across Sweden, according to Swedish media Kvartal’s live statistics overview. The numbers align with those published by Swedish police in early September.
Because of the trend the Nordic country has the highest gun violence per capita in the European Union in recent years.
Statistics show Swedish gang-related violence has increased potently in neighboring Denmark, too, where Danish gangs in at least 25 instances since April have hired Swedish “hitmen” and “child soldiers” for criminal activities, said Danish Minister of Justice Peter Hummelgaard to broadcaster TV2 back in August…..
Levin Shares Videos ABC Censored of Crowd Cheering Trump at Alabama-Georgia Football Game

“Since ABC all but censored Trump’s attendance at the Alabama-Georgia football game, I’ll share these videos with you,” iconic conservative commentator Mark Levin said Sunday, sharing clips of former President Donald Trump at Saturday’s Alabama-Georgia college football game.
ABC is infamous for its bias against Trump, as evidenced by the presidential debate it recently hosted, in which the network’s “moderators” David Muir and Linsey Davis ganged up with Democrat Candidate Kamala Harris to attack Trump.
To counter ABC’s blatant bias, Levin linked to nine TikTok.com video clips of the rousing welcome Trump received from the crowd at the sold-out game, where fans cheered the Republican candidate and chanted “U.S.A.!” when Trump appeared on the stadium’s video screens.
On his TruthSocial.com platform, Trump posted video clips (see below) of his attendance at the game and the loud and enthusiastic reception he received from the crowd of more than 100,000 attendees…..
Merciless thugs beat up 66-year-old man, knocking him out, after they stuck gun in his face and demanded ‘everything’: Report

Baltimore news station WBFF-TV spoke to a 66-year-old man who said a group of masked youths — as many as five — brutally attacked and robbed him at gunpoint Thursday night while he was on his way home.
The disturbing beat-down also was caught on surveillance video, the station said.
Bernie — who didn’t want his last name shared publicly — told the station, “I actually didn’t hear anything. They were very, very quiet. Almost like they snuck up on me. But I could feel their presence. They didn’t say anything, but when I saw them, they had ski masks on.”
He added to WBFF, “In my mind, I knew what was coming next, so I started to run, and they started to chase me. As I was running, I was yelling, ‘Help, help, I’m being robbed.’ He pulled the gun out, and he stuck the gun in my face, and I said, ‘What do you want?’ He said, ‘I want everything.'”
The video shows three of the hooded culprits surrounding the victim, who’s lying face-down in the street. One of them stomps on the victim’s head — the sickening stomp is audible on the video — while another punches him twice. They appear to take the victim’s property and then run off…..
Did the Government ABANDON Hurricane Helene Victims?
Hurricane Helene has left dozens dead and millions affected across the southern United States. But while communities in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina deal with flooding and destroyed property, FEMA still hasn’t reached some of the hardest hit towns, like Asheville, North Carolina. Shouldn’t the government have learned from the disasters in Maui and East Palestine?! Once again, it’s up to We The People to step up and help our neighbors. Glenn speaks with Mercury One’s J.P. Decker about what Mercury One is doing to make sure communities like Asheville are not abandoned.

Befuddled Biden gives nonsensical response when asked about strikes in Yemen

Biden shuffled over to reporters shouting questions at him while he was boarding Air Force One on the tarmac at Dover Air Force Base on Sunday. He responded to a reporter asking him to comment about Israeli strikes on sites controlled by Iran-backed Houthi militants in Yemen.
“I’ve spoken to both sides. They gotta settle the strike. I’m supporting the collective bargaining effort. I think they’ll settle the strike,” Biden said.
The president had apparently mixed up the Yemeni strikes with a looming union strike by dock workers against automation. The massive strike is scheduled to begin Monday at midnight and includes about 45,000 dock workers at ports on the East Coast and the Gulf Coast.
Video of the interaction was posted to social media by the Republican Party, where it garnered more than 2.7 million views. Many pounced on the incident to mock and ridicule Biden…..

Single Utah mother, 33, raising money for her own funeral after cancer diagnosis gives her 3 months to live

A young and single Utah mother of two small children was told by her doctors that she has three months to live after being diagnosed with terminal cancer.
Erika Diarte-Carr, 33, is now planning her own funeral and raising money to leave behind a trust fund for her children: Jeremiah, 7, and Aaliyah, 5.
Diarte-Carr was at the hospital to treat a shoulder injury in May 2022 when she learned she had Stage 4 small cell lung carcinoma, a rare form of cancer, she wrote on a GoFundMe page. The doctor told her there were multiple tumors that had metastasized to other parts of her body including her skeletal system, which is how the tumor that was causing her shoulder pain was located.
The woman began treatment for the cancer before she was given more devastating news this past January, when she was diagnosed with Cushing Syndrome, which is caused by an excess amount of the stress hormone cortisol and includes symptoms such as weight gain, weak muscles and high blood pressure.
Cushing is extremely rare, with only about 40 to 70 people out of every 1 million having it, according to the National Institutes of Health.
After her diagnosis, she continued working full-time and only took off two months early on for surgeries, biopsies, appointments, radiation and chemotherapy treatments. But due to her deteriorating health, she eventually found herself unable to work and has now been out of work for months.
Diarte-Carr said she had an appointment with her oncologist on Sept. 18, when she was informed that her treatments were not working, and she had only three months to live. She then decided to discontinue her treatments and spend her remaining time with her children….
Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah ‘suffocated in agony’ from toxic fumes inside bunker, Israeli report claims

An Israeli news outlet has claimed Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah may have “suffocated” from toxic gases inside his secret bunker after it was demolished by an Israeli airstrike.
Officials pulled Nasrallah out of the bunker on Sunday, finding his body intact with no visible wounds on him, Israel’s Channel 12 reported.
This suggested he was buried by rubble after 80 tons of bunker-busting bombs were dropped on his fortified hideout on Friday,
The Israeli outlet claims the cave-in caused the 64-year-old to suffocate and die in “agony” as the room filled with fumes from the smoke and explosions.
The Hezbollah leader was killed on Friday during a bombing campaign in Lebanon, where Israeli intelligence tracked Nasrallah to an underground command center where he was to meet with his leadership….
Woman attacked in Hilliard store restroom fights off assailant with family’s help

The woman was assaulted by an unknown man, later identified as 26-year-old Mohamed Camara, of Columbus. Camara allegedly tried to strangle the woman and cover her mouth.
However, she fought back and managed to get the attention of her family, who rushed to her aid. The family then called 911 and detained Camara until officers arrived.
After reviewing store surveillance cameras, police say Camara was seen following the woman around the store before she went into the bathroom.
Camara has been charged with kidnapping, a first-degree felony. Police say additional charges are possible as the investigation continues.
SpaceX Mission Runs Into Mysterious Problem After Dropping Off Astronauts

SpaceX has successfully delivered the Crew Dragon capsule slated to rescue stranded NASA astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore early next year. The pair recently watched as their original ride, Boeing’s issues-laden Starliner, returned to Earth without them on board.
But shortly after dropping off NASA astronaut Nick Hague and cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov over the weekend, the upper stage of SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket also experienced a rare mishap. During its return from orbit, the rocket “experienced an off-nominal deorbit burn,” according to a statement posted to X-formerly-Twitter by the Elon Musk-led company.
The stage was always meant to be “disposed” in the South Pacific Ocean. But as a result of the anomaly, the rocket landed just east of New Zealand, which was “outside of the targeted area,” according to the company.
While that may not sound like a big deal on the face of it, having a massive metal structure careen out of control while plummeting back down to Earth can pose some very real risks.
SpaceX has voluntarily put any future Falcon 9 launches on hold…
SpaceX Dragon docks at ISS to rescue Boeing astronauts stuck since June

SpaceX’s Dragon capsule successfully docked with the International Space Station (ISS) on Sunday, September 29. The space station was 265 miles (426km) above Botswana in southern Africa when the docking happened.
This Crew-9 mission includes NASA astronaut Nick Hague and Russian cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov. The remaining two seats have been designated for the return of American astronauts stranded on the orbital station since June.
After retiring its space shuttle fleet in 2011, NASA became reliant on Russia’s Soyuz spacecraft for travel to and from the ISS. NASA later decided to tap into commercial services for crew rotation missions to the space station.
For this, NASA reportedly awarded contracts worth $4.2bn and $2.6bn to Boeing and SpaceX, respectively. In 2020, SpaceX, led by Elon Musk, achieved a groundbreaking milestone by becoming the first private company to transport astronauts to the ISS.
However, Boeing’s capsule development had been delayed for several years due to setbacks and issues encountered during uncrewed test flights in 2019 and 2022.
Now that the docking has been successfully completed, Wilmore, Williams, Hague, and Gorbunov will be returning to Earth in February 2025 when the Crew-9 mission concludes…..
