Social media reports indicate that another migrant group of up to 2,500 migrants departed from southern Mexico on Sunday. The group departed from Tapachula, Chiapas, to reach the U.S.-Mexico border before the upcoming presidential election.
When Did Google Search Become Totally Useless?
When Google launched in the late 1990s, it quickly overtook the market for search engines. Its proprietary method of indexing led users to results they were actually looking for rather than producing the hodgepodge of results offered by other search engines of the time. Within just a few years, it was dominating the market. Today, it is a money-printing machine.
It’s also increasingly horrible at the core mission that produced such success. The company’s leadership may have realized early on that to dominate they needed to maximize the marketing angle of search, but over time that side of the business — the one that produces revenue — swallowed the informative results that drove the search engine’s success.
Now, Google’s true product, its users, are drowning in a sea of partisan slop and sponsored content rather than getting the results we’re looking for when we take to the World Wide Web. By doing so, Google is making it pointless for us to continue to allow ourselves to be the product.
Let’s say you have an artistic daughter who wants some oil paints for Christmas, but you’re unsure about which brand to buy or even what the definition of oil paint is. You head over to Google and type in “oil paint.” Is your first result a definition or even the Wikipedia page? Nope, it’s ads. You have to scroll to get to Wikipedia.
Granted, these aren’t extremely pressing issues. People researched oil paints and found places to eat for decades upon decades without the assistance of the internet. What is a bigger deal is how nakedly partisan Google has become. Former President Trump has even complained about it, taking time to call CEO Sundar Pichai to point out the problem.
Naturally, his complaints were downplayed, but your Google search is supposedly tailored to your interests. As I am not suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome and have written positively about him (and used Google to find info for such articles), my results should be reflective of that. Instead, I get the latest anti-Trump bromides of the day….
NASA Hands Out More Than $7 Million To Boost ‘Diversity’
The six schools receiving the funds are Alabama A&M, Morgan State–Baltimore, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State, Central Florida, Colorado-Denver, and Houston Universities.
Shahra Lambert, NASA’s senior advisor for engagement and equity, celebrated the announcement of the grants.
“NASA is excited to award funding to six minority-serving institutions, paving the way for greater diversity in engineering and STEM,” she said.
“NASA is committed to fostering diversity and providing essential academic resources to empower the next generation of innovators.”
NASA has an office dedicated to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
“Diversity and inclusion are integral to mission success at NASA,” the Office of Diversity and Equal Opportunity’s website states.
“Our commitment to these principles helps us to ensure fairness and equity in decision making.”
Campus Reform has previously reported on other federal agencies granting funds on the basis of DEI principles.
The National Science Foundation has handed out millions of dollars to promote DEI, including a $3.5 million grant to increase diversity in STEM at Molloy University in New York and $4.5 million for Louisiana State University for the formation of a “Center for Equity in Faculty Advancement.”
In August, the Department of Education announced that it would give out more than $40 million to institutions of higher education to “advance equity or participant outcomes.”…

Woman allegedly sicced 103-pound rottweiler on 9-year-old girl who then died; prosecutors want death penalty for suspect
Shortly before 5 a.m., officials answered a call regarding an unresponsive child and found Jamaria naked with “a significant number of abrasions, small punctures, burns, possible bite marks, and bruising covering her body, all in various stages of healing,” according to the probable cause arrest affidavit.
According to the sheriff’s office, the girl’s injuries were “consistent with physical abuse.”
The girl had suffered “superficial lacerations indicative of being pinched with significant force, her face was swollen, some of her teeth were broken, she had blood in her left ear along with a penetration wound behind her ear, and contusions all over her body,” the affidavit stated.
The document also said “the medical examiner noted the number of superficial injuries covering the majority of her body, and advised it appeared to be torture inflicted by fingernails and injuries consistent with being struck by something, possibly wire.”
Sheriff’s detectives obtained more than 2,800 surveillance videos from inside and outside the home. Six videos from the night of June 15 show a large dog attacking the girl.
The affidavit stated, “Jamaria Sessions being viciously attacked by the family pet, a 103-pound male Rottweiler as Jamaria was just out of frame, however, Tyshael Martin could be seen holding the leash of the dog and is heard encouraging the dog to bite Jamaria Sessions as Jamaria laid on the floor, ending with Jamaria Sessions attempting to stand up in the doorway coming into frame.”
Authorities said the video shows the dog biting Jamaria’s head “at the command of Tyshael Martin.”…

Hamas Shooting Palestinians Seeking to Flee Gaza Fighting
Palestinian civilians trying to evacuate intense fighting in the northern Gaza Strip are being shot by Hamas terrorists trying to prevent them from leaving, an Israel Defense Forces medic said on Monday.
Cpl. Shai Gilboa, a medic in the IDF’s 9th Battalion, who was photographed in Jabaliya tending to a Gazan woman with a facial injury, told Israel’s Channel 12 in an interview that Hamas is now resorting to gunfire to prevent Palestinian civilians from heeding Israeli orders to evacuate to designated safe zones during the renewed fighting.
“Our battalion went into action to exert as much military pressure as possible on Hamas terrorists, who held the civilian population in the area and forbade them from evacuating to a safe area,” Gilboa said.
During the clashes, she noted, terrorists in the area opened fire and wounded some of the Gazans who were trying to flee.
“The wounded came to us and we provided them with first aid in the field, which mostly entailed stopping the bleeding,” she said.
The injured civilians were then evacuated from the area and directed toward “local medical forces” for further treatment….
Slovakian government investigation finds that COVID was a “fabricated operation,” calls for immediate ban on mRNA injections
The lead guy in Slovakia who was tasked with investigating how the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) “pandemic” was handled has determined that all mRNA (modRNA) injections, i.e., Pfizer and Moderna, are too dangerous to remain on the market and need to be banned.
Peter Kotlár says mRNA COVID jabs should no longer be sold in Slovakia, calling the “pandemic” itself an “act of bioterrorism” and a “fabricated operation,” the insinuation being that the whole thing was a manufactured sham to kill people and seize control over the global economy.
At an October 2 press conference, Kotlár, who had just submitted his report to the government calling for a ban on mRNA, explained that he thinks SARS-CoV-2 was artificially created in a laboratory and deliberately spread worldwide. He also announced that Slovakia has ended its relationship with the World Health Organization (WHO) as a result.
In time, Kotlár’s report will be made public, “but let’s wait first for a session of the government,” he said.
“The most serious consequence of the whole fabricated operation called the COVID-19 pandemic is the endangerment of human health and the confirmation of the naivety of the world population to be subconsciously obedient,” Kotlár added, noting that his most serious finding was that mRNA alters human DNA…

The Harris-backed Citizenship Act of 2021 would increase the number of Diversity Visas rewarded annually through the random lottery system by about 25,000 visas.
Such a huge increase would ensure that nearly a million legal immigrants arrive in the United States every decade for no other reason than adding so-called “diversity” to American communities…..
Miami Police: Nicaraguan Migrant Sexually Assaulted 80-Year-Old Woman After She Fell
Erick Garcia-Gutierrez, a 37-year-old migrant from Nicaragua, was arrested on Oct. 19 in Miami-Dade County and charged with first-degree felony sexual battery of a physically helpless person.
According to Miami-Dade police, an 80-year-old woman had been lying on the “ground” in her home on Oct. 15, pleading for help after she fell while cooking a meal.
That’s when police allege her tenant, Garcia-Gutierrez, heard her and entered her residence but instead of helping her up and calling an ambulance, proceeded to sexually assault the woman as she lay helpless.
Police said the woman repeatedly told Garcia-Gutierrez to stop but he did not listen and continued to sexually assault her….
Florida: Migrant Accused of Possessing Child Sexual Abuse Material of Young Boys
Dario Jose Cajapefarias, a 26-year-old migrant with two Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) holds, has been arrested and charged with three counts of possessing child sexual abuse material.
According to Miami-Dade police, Cajapefarias allegedly had footage of the abuse in his personal Facebook account. The footage depicts three boys — two between the ages of five and seven years old and another between the ages of seven and 10 years old — being sexually abused.
Miami-Dade police said the boys’ abusers recorded the footage and Cajapefarias allegedly kept the footage in his Facebook account.
Cajapefarias, at the time of his arrest, was living near the Cutler Ridge Elementary School in Cutler Bay, Florida, home to about 45,000 residents….
