Girl, 12, took fatal overdose of prescription drugs after police officers investigating her claim that a boy had raped her

A twelve-year-old girl took a fatal overdose after police officers investigating her claim that a boy had raped her said it was ‘her word against his’, her mother told an inquest today.
Semina Halliwell had been a ‘happy, normal little girl’, but the alleged sexual assault ‘completely destroyed’ her and left her fearful of leaving the house, her mother Rachel said.
She said Semina – who was autistic – was treated ‘unprofessionally’ by officers who came to discuss whether she wanted to make a formal complaint.
‘I felt like they didn’t care,’ Mrs Halliwell said. ‘It felt like it was an inconvenience for them.’
She said Semina initially hadn’t wanted to take the alleged rape in January 2021 any further.
But after learning that the same boy had allegedly sexually assaulted another girl, she changed her mind.
However while police were at the family home in Southport, Merseyside in June 2021 over an unrelated incident, Semina said ‘I’ve had enough of this’ and went upstairs.
Tragically, she took an overdose of prescription medication…

Tom Homan considers citizen hotline for reporting suspected illegal alien criminals

“I want a place where American citizens can call and report,” Homan said. “We need to take care of the American people. We need to make sure they have an outlet to help report child traffickers, forced labor traffickers. We want to give them an opportunity to be a part of the fix.”
Last week, Homan stated that he wants the administration to hold weekly press briefings to update the American public about its deportation progress.
“There needs to be a weekly White House press briefing on exactly who we’re arresting and who we’re saving, who we are putting in jail, who we are deporting, so the American people know we’re true to our word,” he said.
During his interview with NBC News, Homan again stressed the need for transparency.
“I think we need to be transparent for the American people, and we need to show people exactly what we’re doing,” he stated.
Homan also called for the elimination of the Biden administration’s CBP One, a mobile application that allows 1,450 foreign nationals per day to schedule an appointment at a port of entry to make an asylum claim and enter the U.S…

Biden Admin OK’s Student Loan Relief for Over 150,000

President Joe Biden on Monday said his administration is approving student loan relief for more than 150,000 borrowers, including those who attended schools that defrauded their students, those with total and permanent disabilities, and public service workers.
“Since Day One of my Administration, I promised to ensure higher education is a ticket to the middle class, not a barrier to opportunity, and I’m proud to say we have forgiven more student loan debt than any other administration in history,” Biden said in a statement.
Since Biden took office, he has forgiven debt for more than 5 million federal student loan borrowers, totaling $183.6 billion in relief, CNBC reported.

Rep. Pramila Jayapal Uses LA Wildfires To Attack Corporations, Insulting Those Who Lost Jobs By The Destruction

The always thoughtful, clearheaded and logical Democrat ‘squad member’ U.S. Rep. Pramila Jayapal is under fire this week for mocking victims of the Los Angeles wildfire.
It’s another sad ‘par for the course’ incident for the far left, who has become so attached to identity politics and toxic ideology that even after getting trounced on November 4th, they can’t seem to see that when one finger points out, there more point back at them.
Rather than focus on the victims and solutions of the devastating fire, Jayapal took the tragedy as a cue to spew anti-capitalist climate change rhetoric on social media, according to KTTH.
“Corporations got us into this mess, but even they can’t escape the devastating reality of climate change,” she wrote on X after posting video of a McDonald’s engulfed in flames in Los Angeles County.
KTTH nailed it, stating: “Think about it — while Rep. Pramila Jayapal is busy crafting a pithy X post to rack up likes, real people are losing their jobs, homes and livelihoods. Families who relied on that McDonald’s for a paycheck now face an uncertain future. But hey, at least she got to make her climate change joke, right? So much for pretending to care about the working class. She’s too busy using their misery for political points.”…

Vance: Trump Will Enable Israel To ‘Knock Out’ Hamas Unless Hostages Released

Vice President-elect JD Vance on Sunday warned that the incoming Trump administration will enable Israel to “knock out” Hamas unless a deal is reached to free dozens of hostages.
Vance made the remarks during an appearance on Fox News Sunday. While Hamas has proved difficult to negotiate with, Vance said that Trump’s threats to allow Israel to obliterate the terror group will force its leaders to strike a deal and release hostages as early as this week.
“It’s very clear that President Trump threatening Hamas and making it clear that there is going to be hell to pay is part of the reason why we’ve made progress on getting some hostages out,” Vance told Fox News anchor Shannon Bream.
“We’re hopeful there’s going to be a deal that’s struck towards the very end of Biden’s administration, maybe the last day or two, but regardless of when that deal is struck, it will be because people are terrified that there are going to be consequences for Hamas,” he added.
According to Vance, the consequences against Hamas if a deal is not reached would be severe…
Woke DEI + Green Nihilism = Dresden in California

Over 25,000 acres are ablaze in Los Angeles in the Pacific Palisades fire, a veritable living hell.
Some 12,000-plus structures were incinerated. More than 250,000 souls have been evacuated and are in need of shelter.
No one has really taken charge yet. And now even the woke culprits for the catastrophe are blame-gaming each other to determine who was the more incompetent, which in this case translates to the most woke.
No one knows how many have died; all know the number will escalate in the next few days.
The eventual price tag of the ruin will exceed $200-300 billion and outstrip the billions of dollars given to Ukraine.
And there are still some fires that are completely uncontained.
The Los Angeles apocalypse was a multisystem, green-woke collapse—and a disastrous reminder that when Soviet-style, anti-meritocratic ideology permeates all aspects of modern life in California, disaster is inevitable.
First, note that the culprit of the catastrophe is not climate change; it is not Donald Trump. Those are excuses for arrogant incompetency and disdain for the public.
And it is not racism or homophobia to fault those who paraded and virtue signaled their tribal identities so extraneous to their actual responsibilities for public safety….

Meta and Amazon roll back DEI programs amid shifting political landscape

In a move that signals a seismic shift in corporate America, tech giants Meta and Amazon have announced the rollback of their diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs.
The decision, driven by political considerations and growing perceptions of preferential treatment, marks a significant departure from the widespread adoption of DEI initiatives in recent years.
Meta, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, and Amazon, the global retail and tech behemoth, are among the latest major corporations to scale back such programs, joining the ranks of McDonald’s, Ford and Walmart.
The decision comes as DEI programs face increasing scrutiny and legal challenges, particularly from conservative groups emboldened by a landmark 2023 U.S. Supreme Court ruling that struck down affirmative action in college admissions.
The ruling has sparked a wave of lawsuits targeting DEI initiatives in both educational institutions and private companies, with critics arguing that such programs often prioritize identity over merit, leading to reverse discrimination and fostering division. We Were Censored By Meta — We’re Taking Them to the Supreme Court

The headline from Politico’s “Playbook” would have been unthinkable eight years ago: “Meta sends Trump a friend request.”
After all, Meta’s founder, Mark Zuckerberg, is a political lightning rod in conservative political circles, especially after the $300 million worth of “Zuckerbucks” spent during the 2020 election to elect like-minded politicians.
Yet lately, Zuckerberg has been singing a much different tune. He referred to President-elect Donald Trump as “badass,” visited him at Mar-a-Lago, and donated $1 million to his inaugural fund.
This week, Meta made news by adding Dana White, a longtime Trump ally and head of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, or UFC, to its board of directors.
Then came the real bombshell: Meta ended its so-called “independent fact-checking program,” ostensibly lifting restrictions on speech across Facebook, as well as their other platforms like Instagram and WhatsApp.
In doing so, Zuckerberg admitted the current content moderation practices — in place since criticism of his platform during the 2016 presidential election — have “gone too far” and stressed a commitment to “restoring free expression.”
Make no mistake: Meta’s “independent fact-checkers” are neither independent nor fact-based. Their elimination is a positive step and should be encouraged.
The announcement came less than 24 hours after the organization I lead — the nonprofit Children’s Health Defense (CHD) — asked the U.S. Supreme Court to hear our censorship lawsuit against Meta.
But if Meta is serious about supporting “free expression,” they have a lot of work to do — and it requires more than moving workers from California to Texas, as Zuckerberg also pledged to do.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Meta not only censored our posts — many having to do with topics that the so-called medical “experts” like Dr. Anthony Fauci were dead wrong about — but outright kicked us off the platform without warning…
Is LOS ANGELES getting PURPOSELY BURNED to the ground in order to start a SMART CITY in a few years? Take a look at the evidence piling up that supports this

Everything regarding the Los Angeles inferno points to deliberate arson by the government at all levels, and there are more than a dozen major reasons why, so if you’re thinking conspiracy theories, there may be too many evidence-based ones to count.
Did you know that a “smart city” has already been planned for L.A. in the NEAR FUTURE for the year 2028? That’s right. Surely it’s just a massive coincidence, right? That’s just 3 years away, mind you.
What better way to level L.A. in one fell swoop without having to get landowners’ permission or even buy their property. It’s simple, just drop all their fire insurance policies, take away all the water, and then burn the city to the ground.
The plan is to turn the entire City of Angels into a digitized smart city where Big Brother has complete control of everyone’s lives and can shut down everything with one switch, including the power grid, food supply, money access, internet, electric vehicles, everything. Didn’t you get the smart city memo?….
Burglar disguised as firefighter in Los Angeles fires among 29 arrested for looting and arson

As wildfires continue to ravage Los Angeles, leaving a trail of destruction and despair, a new wave of lawlessness has emerged. Among the chaos, a burglar disguised as a firefighter was arrested while looting decimated mansions in Malibu, one of 29 individuals accused of exploiting the disaster.
The fires, fueled by ferocious Santa Ana winds and drought conditions, have become the most destructive in LA history, killing 24 people, destroying over 12,000 structures, and causing an estimated $49 billion in damage.
Amid the devastation, authorities are grappling not only with the flames but also with a surge in criminal activity, raising questions about public safety and the consequences of years of lax law enforcement policies and the encouragement of sanctuary cities….
Los Angeles wildfires: California firebug arrest caught on video as police warn of arsonists

With increased officers on patrol amid the wildfire emergency, Azusa Police Department Capt. Robert Landeros said the first responding officer arrived quickly to the scene at Pioneer Park around 11:30 p.m. after neighbors confronted the homeless suspect, who was still there when the first officer arrived.
“This was intentional,” Landeros told Fox News Digital Monday. “Some of the neighbors confronted him, stopped him from setting an additional fire in the park.”
Video shows an Azusa officer handcuffing a man just steps away from a billowing brush fire, which authorities say county firefighters quickly extinguished.
Police have identified the suspect as 39-year-old Jose Carranza-Escobar, “a transient” whose last known address was also in Azusa. They said he admitted to starting the brush fire…
Los Angeles Renters Face Predatory Price Gouging After Wildfires

Even though California has outlawed price gouging in the wake of an emergency disaster, some landlords in the Los Angeles area have already exploited the situation by raising rental prices sometimes high as 80 percent, including one property in Bel Air jumped all the way to $29,500 per month from $15,900 per month. Per Newsweek:
The Los Angeles Times found a property in Encino that was previously listed at $9,000 a month on January 3. After the blazes started, this was then on Zillow for $11,500.
Listing agent Soheila Mirfakhrai said the price was then lowered after speaking to the Los Angeles Times to $9,800 per month, just below the 10 percent threshold.
Real estate broker Michael Nourmand told the Los Angeles Times that estimates for single-family rentals are being advertised online at around 20 percent higher than they would have cost if the wildfires had not broken out.
Price gouging in the wake of an emergency remains illegal in California and Attorney General Rob Bonta has encouraged residents to report any cases….
Preliminary L.A. Wildfires Death Toll Rises to 24 Ahead of High Winds

Sixteen of those deaths are from the Eaton Fire, while eight are connected to the Palisades Fire in Los Angeles, NBC News reported.
The medical examiner noted that the deaths are “still under investigation by the department” and that it “cannot confirm human remains until after the DME processes them at our facility.”
Many of those who have died have not been identified and are listed as John or Jane Does on the medical examiner’s website.
“One person has been newly identified: Charles Mortimer, 84, who died in the Palisades Fire, according to the office,” NBC News reported.
The updated preliminary death toll comes as first responders continue to battle wildfires that have swept through more than 40,000 acres of the greater Los Angeles Area, decimating entire communities and destroying more than 12,300 structures, according to CAL Fire….
California Reports: Illegal Migrant Arrested amid Arson Fears

The man’s illegal status was reported By Bill Melugin at Fox News late on January 12:
Per ICE sources, the man seen in a viral video being subdued by residents & arrested by police w/ a blowtorch near the #KennethFire in West Hills is an illegal alien from Mexico named Juan Manuel Sierra-Leyva. He is in custody on a probation violation & has NOT been charged w/ arson.
Melugin continued:
I’m told ICE will place a detainer request on him with the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department, but they do not expect it to be honored due to California’s Sanctuary State law. I’m told Sierra-Leyva will have a court appearance tomorrow.
The arrest comes as California legislators debate legislation that would provide another $25 million to help the state’s large population of illegal evade deportation during President Donald Trump’s second term.
Like New York City, the government of Los Angeles welcomes migrants because they serve as cheap labor, apartment-sharing renters, and welfare-aided consumers.
There were multiple videos of the arrest: ..
Tsunami Alert Lifted After Magnitude 6.7 Earthquake Rattles Southwestern Japan

Japan issued a tsunami advisory on Monday after a magnitude 6.7 earthquake struck the southwest of the country. The public warnings to stay away from coastal areas were later lifted.
The agency initially gave the magnitude estimate at 6.9, but later revised it down. There were no immediate reports of damage. Residents in some coastal areas were told to evacuate as a precautionary measure.
NHK said a tsunami, estimated to be as high as 1 meter (3.2 feet), reached land within 30 minutes of the quake. The waters detected at Miyazaki Port measured 20 centimeters (0.7 feet) high, the reports said.
Tsunami advisories were issued for Miyazaki prefecture, where the quake was centered, in the southwestern island of Kyushu, as well as nearby Kochi prefecture in Shikoku island, shortly after the quake struck at 9:19 p.m. according to the agency. They were all called off shortly before midnight…
