Shocking moment elderly lottery winner mugged for her winnings minutes after she collected prize from store

Shocking video shows a mugger violently attacking an 83-year-old woman just after she collected cash from a lottery win.
The unidentified winner was seen walking from a store in Orlando, Florida just after 8 a.m. Wednesday when a man in a red shirt casually walks up.
He seems to back up when someone else comes out of the store — just to approach the elderly woman, who tries to turn away to protect the cash in her hand — just to get violently wrestled to the ground.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office initially shared the video of the woman being “violently robbed,” saying: “We need your help locating this suspect.”
It updated the post on Thursday, saying: “ARRESTED! Thanks to the help of our community, Tavarez Fleury has been caught and is in jail!”…
VIDEO: NJ Teacher Accused of Having Child with 13-Year-Old Student Who Was Living in Her Home

Authorities arrested the suspect, 34-year-old Laura Caron, on Wednesday in regard to the alleged crimes that happened between 2016 and 2020 at her home, ABC 6 reported, noting she was employed at Middle Township Elementary School.
When the suspect, who reportedly taught the victim and his brother in fifth grade, had the baby in 2019, the alleged victim was living with her at her residence in Cape May Court House.
Leaders with the Middle Township School District placed Caron on paid administrative leave as a result of the accusations, according to the New York Post.
Investigators working the case said the victim’s father posted on social media in December about how the suspect’s five-year-old child looked like him and his own son which raised questions, the ABC 6 article continued:..
FBI closed DEI office in December, agency says

The FBI has closed its DEI office, Fox News can confirm.
“In recent weeks, the FBI took steps to close the Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI), effective by December 2024,” the agency told Fox News Digital on Thursday.
The agency didn’t specify why it had closed the office, although many Republicans have been critical of it prioritizing DEI, saying that had overshadowed national security.
Earlier this month, Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn sent a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray claiming that “radical” DEI practices had “endangered” Americans following the New Year’s Day terrorist attack in New Orleans…

Exclusive: Establishment Georgia House Speaker Sends America First Sen. Colton Moore to Jail

Moore, a conservative who led attacks to impeach Fulton County’s Fani Willis for her prosecution of President-elect Donald Trump, was sent to jail Thursday after he tried to enter the House Chamber for Gov. Brian Kemp’s seventh State of the State Address.
Burns said he would not allow Moore into the chamber because he opposed the former Georgia House Speaker, the Chattanoogan reported Wednesday:
As you will recall, on March 14th, 2024, following your vile, disparaging, and false comments in reference to the character of former Speaker David Ralston, because House Rules require me to uphold the decorum of the House and decency of speech, I subsequently ordered the doorkeeper of the House, Corey Mulkey, to prevent your entrance onto any property of the Georgia House of Representatives, especially the House Chamber.
This letter serves as a reminder that my order is still in effect and you are not allowed to enter the House Chamber. This includes joining your colleagues from the Senate for the State of the State Address unless you deliver a sincere apology to the family, extended family, and loved ones of former Speaker David Ralston from the floor of the Senate before January 16th, 2025.
In response, Moore said Wednesday that he would attempt to carry out his duty as a lawmaker and arrived at the state capitol to participate as a duly elected lawmaker…

75 Los Angeles fire trucks wait for repairs as wildfires rage — while city spends $1.3B on the homeless

The essential firefighting vehicles were still sitting in the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Bureau Of Supply and Maintenance lot in an industrial area Wednesday, waiting to be repaired.
Controversy over the rows of idle trucks has intensified after revelations about the LAFD budget being cut by $17 million by Mayor Karen Bass.
“We have over 100 fire apparatus out of service,” Los Angeles Fire Chief Kristin Crowley admitted to CNN when the wildfires, which have led to over 100,000 people having to evacuate their homes, were still at their peak.
“We don’t have enough firefighters and medics, we don’t have enough fire engines, we don’t have enough trucks and ambulances in the field,” Escobar testified during a budget hearing. “And we don’t have the equipment and staffing we need to respond to half a million emergency calls for service every year.”
At a commission meeting just last month, Escobar told LA city officials short staffing in the fire department was “dire” warning “someone will die.”…

Senate panel votes in support of ‘Remain in Mexico’ border policy

A Senate panel voted Thursday to approve a resolution in support of the “Remain in Mexico” immigration policy, after a two-hour hearing about the border enforcement approach implemented in first Trump administration.
The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee voted 8-6 along party lines to approve the measure on the policy, which requires asylum-seekers at the U.S.-Mexico border to stay outside of the United States as their claims are processed.
Chairman Rand Paul, R-Ky., in his first hearing and markup leading the panel this Congress, condemned the Biden administration for reversing the immigration policies of the Trump administration.
“President Biden discarded proven strategies like ‘Remain in Mexico,’ which was undeniably successful in deterring illegal entries,” Paul said. “The results were immediate and disastrous. During the last full month of [the] Trump administration when ‘Remain in Mexico’ was in effect, border encounters were under 70,000. After its repeal, the number surged to over 100,000 and continued to rise.”
Sen. Gary Peters of Michigan, the top Democrat on the committee, declined to offer support for the “Remain in Mexico” policy, cautioning against measures that would empower Mexican drug cartels, as some critics say happened with the Trump-era regulation….

EXODUS: How wildfires, crime and woke policies are driving residents out of California

California, once the golden state of opportunity, is now a cautionary tale of mismanagement, natural disasters and political failures. As wildfires rage across the state, residents are grappling with a toxic combination of unaffordable housing, skyrocketing crime and a collapsing infrastructure.
The result? A mass exodus of businesses and residents, leaving behind a middle class struggling to survive in a state that seems increasingly unlivable.
In a recent “Health Ranger Report” interview with Mike Adams, Dan Golka, a California-based financial expert and host of the YouTube channel iAllegedly, painted a grim picture of the state’s current crisis.
From catastrophic wildfires to political incompetence, Golka’s firsthand account reveals a state on the brink of collapse. (Related: California in crisis: Mike Adams forecasts five paths to state collapse.)
California’s wildfires are not just a natural disaster – they are a man-made catastrophe.
Golka, who lives in Orange County, described the devastation caused by multiple fires, including the Eaton Fire, which forced his daughter to evacuate his home in Pasadena. The air quality index (AQI) in his area reached a staggering 185, far above the hazardous threshold of 100.
The fires have destroyed over 12,500 structures, including homes, businesses and entire communities. But the damage goes beyond property loss. The smoke from burning residential buildings releases toxic chemicals like dioxins, which are far more dangerous than the smoke from brush fires.
“God only knows what was in those workshops and garages that burned down,” Golka said, highlighting the unknown health risks posed by the toxic air.
California’s leadership has come under fire for prioritizing diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives over disaster preparedness. Golka revealed that the Los Angeles Fire Department’s budget was slashed by $17.6 million, resulting in the loss of 100 mechanics and 100 firefighting apparatuses.
“They caused this damage,” the serial entrepreneur and small business advisor said, referring to the city’s failure to maintain critical infrastructure….

Top-secret X-37B space plane has been in orbit for more than 1 year

That U.S. Space Force X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle (OTV-7) has silently slipped past one-year of flight time.
The craft is engaged in performing aerobrake maneuvers, a technique to alter its orbit around Earth, as well as safely dispose of its attached service module.
Lofted in December of 2023, the military spaceplane was placed in an orbit higher than any of the earlier space plane missions – into a highly elliptical high Earth orbit.
From that orbit, the United States Space Force, supported by the Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office, conducted radiation effect experiments and tested Space Domain Awareness technologies.
X-37B/OTV-7 is also referred to as United States Space Force-52 (USSF-52). This spaceplane was lofted on Dec. 28, 2023.
The OTV-7 flight marks the first time the U.S. Space Force and the X-37B have attempted to carry out a dynamic aerobraking maneuver…

Two Houston area officers killed as Texas leads US in officer deaths
Two Houston area law enforcement officers were killed in the line of duty on Wednesday as Texas leads the U.S. in officer deaths.
On Wednesday morning, Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Jesus Vargas was shot and killed by a man with an extensive criminal history while attempting to serve a warrant. Vargas was working with the U.S. Marshal’s Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force.
A six-hour manhunt ensued resulting in a police shootout in south Houston in a commercial area off of Stella Link Road.
The perpetrator was found hiding in a Dumpster by U.S. Marshal K-9 Rocky. As officers approached, the suspect opened fire, shooting Rocky two times. Officers returned fire, killing the suspect in the Dumpster, the Houston Police Department said.
Rocky was carried to a helicopter, flown to a veterinarian, had surgery and is reportedly in stable condition.
Also on Wednesday, roughly one hour north of Houston in Navasota, a police sergeant was killed in the line of duty while pursuing a suspect. Sergeant Mark Butler was killed in a head-on collision. The suspect also died…

With These Ships, The US Navy Will Never Be the Same

Class: Freedom-class
Unit type: Littoral combat ship
Status: Launched Apr ’23
Construction site: Marinette, WI
According to Captain James E. Fanell, who served for nearly three decades as a naval intelligence officer specializing in Indo-Asia Pacific security affairs, the United States needs to rethink its Navy. The U.S. Navy has long been a formidable force, providing America with strategic positioning and power on the seas. However, Fanell claims, China’s navy has now grown to a size even larger than the U.S. fleet. More important, says Fanell, is the fact that China’s People’s Liberation Army has the type of devastating weaponry that would prevent the U.S. from traveling into the Western Pacific Ocean. Meanwhile, the U.S. has dealt with several shipping, delivery, and manufacturing difficulties that have prevented us from maintaining the same level of naval power as in the past. It is necessary, Fanell argues, for the United States to begin rethinking its naval strategy and pursuing a fleet of ships and vessels that are comparable to, and can keep up with, China. In short, the Navy needs to more significantly prioritize naval development and capabilities.
Luckily, the United States is doing so by purchasing and developing a wide range of new ships to supplement its arsenal.
For example, destroyers are designed for the utmost challenges of war, outfitted with advanced missile systems and sensitive radar. Submarines are the ultimate vessel for stealth missions, moving undetected beneath the surface of the ocean.
To determine the future warships and submarines of the U.S. Navy, 24/7 Wall St. reviewed the Upcoming U.S. Navy Commissionings, a military data site.
We compiled data on all ships and submarines that have at least had their keel laid and ordered these alphabetically. We included supplemental information regarding the classification of vessel, unit type, and current status.

Petitions Ask Trump To Pardon The Pro-Lifers He Promised To Get Out Of The Biden ‘Gulags’

The pro-life activists who suffered partisan prosecution over the last four years by President Joe Biden’s weaponized Department of Justice could have a chance at clemency if incoming President Donald Trump honors their request for “full and unconditional pardons.”
The Thomas More Society, which has represented several of the peaceful protestors targeted by the Biden administration for their opposition to baby-killing, submitted nearly two dozen petitions asking Trump to give those who were “unjustly imprisoned” and “unjustly convicted” for advocating to protect life in the womb presidential reprieve.
“These individuals participated in mere peaceable civil disobedience, in the heralded tradition of the American Civil Rights activists,” the letter accompanying the petitions states. “Peaceable actions like these usually merit, at worst, a minor misdemeanor conviction. And had they been opposing anything but abortion, Joe Biden would have given them medals — instead Biden wanted them branded as ‘convicted felons’ and imprisoned for years in a federal penitentiary.”
Despite at least 90 abortion-fueled firebombings, vandalism, and other attacks on lifesaving pregnancy centers, pro-life organizations, and churches after the Supreme Court’s Dobbs v. Jackson opinion was publicized, Biden’s DOJ focused almost solely on targeting abortion dissidents…
Joe Biden’s Bizarro World of Foreign Policy “Achievements”

Departing President Joe Biden offered a farewell brag this week to his State Department about how his tenure had improved America’s stature abroad. In his now accustomed weird mix of whispering and fiery shouting, Biden apparently felt he had to lie or mislead about almost every one of his “achievements.”
Yet to the extent that anything improved abroad on his watch—the weakening of Iran or the near destruction of Hamas and Hezbollah—it was due despite, not because of, Biden.
Biden, bowing to election year political pressure, did all he could to restrain and block Israeli retaliations to the October 7 massacres. Only after he was repeatedly proven wrong does he now shamelessly take credit for what Israel ironically achieved by ignoring his own threats directed at Israel.
Biden is correct only that Iran is “weaker than it’s been in decades.” But Tehran was aided, not hurt, by Biden’s nonstop efforts to lift sanctions, to allow Iran to make billions in oil revenues, to pay the theocracy billions of dollars in hostage ransom, and to beg the mullahs to reenter the ill-starred Iran deal. Everything Biden did makes it much harder for Israel to survive.
So, Iran is now weakened only because Israel ignored Biden’s nonstop ankle-biting and finger-shaking not to retaliate to Iranian aggression. Instead, the Netanyahu government systematically destroyed Iranian air defenses after killing most of Iran’s foreign terrorist operatives.
Biden referenced the end of the Assad regime in Syria, but it imploded not due to any effort by Biden. It was overwhelmed instead only after the Israeli decimation of Hezbollah and humiliation of Iran—coupled with the election victory of Donald Trump—that encouraged Assad’s enemies to attack a now isolated and weakened regime.
Biden is also taking credit for rumors that Hamas might release its hostages, who have been held in a subterranean labyrinth since October 7….
Service members who refused the COVID ‘jab’ would get their jobs back and back pay, too, under new GOP bill

A pair of Republicans are introducing legislation that would offer service members who were fired over the military’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate a chance to get their jobs back and receive back pay.
The AMERICANS Act, put forth by Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and freshman Rep. Pat Harrigan, R-N.C., bans the Pentagon from instituting any additional COVID-19 vaccine mandates without congressional approval.
It would offer reinstatement to any service member discharged solely for their refusal of the COVID vaccine and credit them for the time of their involuntary separation for retirement pay,
It would also restore the rank of anyone who was demoted over the vaccine mandate, offering them back pay and benefits for any compensation they lost as a result of their demotion.
For those who do not want to rejoin service, it would restore their discharge to “honorable” to restore their GI Bill and health care benefits…
