Senate Intel Panel Reportedly Considering HIDING Their Votes on Tulsi Gabbard from the American People Following News of Susan Collins’s Possible Opposition to Gabbard

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Senator Susan Collins (RINO-ME) may derail Gabbard’s confirmation as DNI due to concerns about Gabbard’s stance on Section 702 of the FISA which gives government permission to spy on supposed foreign targets without a warrant.
Gabbard previously proposed legislation to repeal section 702 due to the government violating the Fourth Amendment by abusing the warrantless spying program to spy on American citizens. She has since tried to reassure senators on the matter.
As a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Collins holds considerable power. Gabbard cannot afford to lose one GOP defector since the vote is split along party lines at 9-8.
In addition to Collins, Senator Lindsey Graham (RINO-SC) is reportedly lukewarm on Gabbard due to her previously visiting Syria and calling for charges to be dropped against National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden. While he is not on the intel committee, this underscores further hesitation regarding some GOP senators to Gabbard.
Now, Turning Point USA’s Charlie Kirk, who has close contacts on Capitol Hill, reports that the Senate Intel Committee may hide the vote tallies on Gabbard following Collins’ possible opposition.
If true, this would prove a despicable betrayal of the public trust.
In addition to throwing Gabbard to the wolves, this possible cowardly move would constitute knifing President Trump in the back despite him achieving a historic mandate just over two months ago….

Trump’s Fight Against Online Censorship Quickly Goes Global

Flanked by some of the Big Tech executives whose companies had suppressed the views of his supporters throughout his predecessor’s term, President Trump on Jan. 20 declared the days of such speech policing over.
Hours later, the president put action behind his words, signing an executive order prohibiting the federal government from engaging in, facilitating, or funding “any conduct that would unconstitutionally abridge the free speech of any American citizen.”
The move was celebrated by those who see it as a blow against what they decry as the Censorship Industrial Complex. Others cast the executive order as giving dangerous license to “misinformation” and “disinformation.”
What is clear is that this is just the latest salvo in an ongoing war over the digital public square, pitting the Trump administration and like-minded Republican congressional allies against not only domestic opponents but the global counter-disinformation eco-system.
The global speech-policing effort is looking like an early target. Trump himself seemed to convey that when he touted his order in a remote address last week to the World Economic Forum in Davos.
The elite global conclave had recently declared “misinformation and disinformation” the leading short-term risk to the globe for the second-straight year, “underlining their persistent threat to societal cohesion and governance by eroding trust and exacerbating divisions within and between nations.”
Two days after the inauguration, Trump’s Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, released the “Priorities and Mission of the Second Trump Administration’s Department of State.” The short document included the charge that Foggy Bottom “must stop censorship and suppression of information.” Rubio continued:…
Trump bans transgenders in military, can’t be ‘honorable, truthful, and disciplined’ as required

As expected, President Trump signed an executive order late Monday banning transgender people from military service on both medical and moral grounds and revoking President Biden’s executive order authorizing them to serve, also in his first week in office in 2021.
The success of the U.S. military depends on “a singular focus on developing the requisite warrior ethos, and the pursuit of military excellence cannot be diluted to accommodate political agendas or other ideologies harmful to unit cohesion” such as the “radical gender ideology” adopted by the prior administration, the order reads.
“Consistent with the military mission and longstanding [Department of Defense] policy, expressing a false ‘gender identity’ divergent from an individual’s sex cannot satisfy the rigorous standards necessary for military service” due to “the hormonal and surgical medical interventions involved” but also because it “conflicts with a soldier’s commitment to an honorable, truthful, and disciplined lifestyle, even in one’s personal life,” also according to the order.
“A man’s assertion that he is a woman, and his requirement that others honor this falsehood, is not consistent with the humility and selflessness required of a service member,” the order also states.
Trump’s policy on “high standards for troop readiness, lethality, cohesion, honesty, humility, uniformity, and integrity” is “inconsistent with the medical, surgical, and mental health constraints on individuals with gender dysphoria” and also “shifting pronoun usage or use of pronouns that inaccurately reflect an individual’s sex.”…

Trump Freezes Billions in Federal Aid, Targets ‘Woke’ Programs Nationwide

President Donald Trump has taken decisive action to overhaul federal spending, instructing government agencies to halt billions of dollars in financial assistance programs that conflict with his administration’s agenda.
The move, announced through a directive from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), aims to eliminate funding for diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives and other programs labeled as advancing “wokeness.”
The suspension, effective Tuesday at 5 p.m. EST, focuses on freezing all activities related to grants, loans and other federal financial assistance programs that do not align with Trump’s newly defined priorities, according to the Daily Mail.
While the directive does not impact direct individual assistance, such as Medicare, Social Security or student grants and loans, it mandates a freeze on more broadly distributed funding opportunities…

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem joins first ICE raids in NYC as feds pluck ‘dirtbags’ off the streets

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem joined federal authorities Tuesday morning for the first deportation raids in New York City under President Trump’s clampdown before lauding ICE for getting the “dirtbags off the streets” just days after she was sworn into office.
The newly confirmed DHS secretary boasted about the successful early morning operation, and shared images of herself wearing a protective ICE vest and surrounded by heavily armed officers, in a series of posts on X.
“We are doing this right — doing exactly what President @realDonaldTrump promised the American people — making our streets safe. Live this AM from NYC. I’m on it,” Noem wrote on X just before 5 a.m.
Noem, 53, later shared footage of one of the first raids, saying it showed “a criminal alien with kidnapping, assault & burglary charges” and thanked US Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers for putting the criminal away….
Hamas back in control of Gaza during ceasefire

Just days after a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas took effect in the Middle East, a new development is getting international attention. Hamas-run police are now back patrolling the streets of Gaza.
Under terms of the ceasefire, police, overseen by Hamas, are responsible for keeping law and order among Palestinians and will monitor the movement and re-entry of Palestinians into their homes.
Hamas police forces are not allowed near Israeli troops and are not permitted to enter buffer zones near the border with Israel.
The U.S. and Israeli security officials reportedly urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to come up with a plan for governing Gaza in the aftermath of the war.
So far, he has not done so.
Hamas has now stepped in to fill that gap, despite Netanyahu saying at the outset of the war that one of the objectives was to crush Hamas.
Earlier this month, former Secretary of State Antony Blinken warned Hamas had recruited nearly as many new fighters as it had lost in the war. He called the terror group a chameleon…

Norfolk Southern and East Palestine reach $22 million settlement

The town of East Palestine, Ohio, and Norfolk Southern have agreed to a $22 million settlement. The deal resolves all of the village’s claims stemming from the train derailment disaster nearly two years ago.
Where does the money go?
The money will go toward projects that East Palestine officials identify as connected to the train crash, but the settlement also acknowledges around $13.5 million has already been paid by Norfolk Southern to the village, according to a joint announcement posted on Monday, Jan. 27, on the village’s website.
Additionally, Norfolk Southern agreed to a $600 million settlement with East Palestine residents in April of 2024 that was related to the rail disaster.
However, $300 million of that compensation is held up in the courts, as some residents challenging the settlement have asked a court of appeals to throw out a judge’s order forcing them to pay an $850,000 bond to continue their appeal for additional compensation…
