Biden Admin Quietly Funneled $3 Mil to Palestinian Government ‘Security Forces’ for Weapons Training—After Its Members Carried Out Attacks on Israelis

The Biden administration, weeks before leaving power, funneled more than $3 million in taxpayer cash to the Palestinian Authority Security Forces (PASF), according to a nonpublic notice transmitted to Congress that was reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon.
Those funds allowed the PASF to conduct “firearms and ammunition” training—and came after its members carried out scores of attacks against Israelis.
The Jan. 3 funding notice outlined more than $20 million in funding for regional security projects, including those in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, Lebanon, and Jordan.
Just over $3 million of these funds were earmarked for the PASF, which the United States is training to handle security operations in the war-torn Gaza Strip. As it does so, the PASF is reportedly seeking more than $680 million from the American government over the next four years.
That spending—both past and, potentially, future—is drawing concerns in both Israel and Washington, D.C., given PASF’s deep and longstanding ties to terrorism carried out against Israelis.
PASF members conducted more than 1,500 terror attacks against Israel in 2023—attacks that came with the Palestinian government’s backing, according to a Palestinian Media Watch investigation shared with the Free Beacon.
More than 60 percent “of the number of Martyrs in the West Bank” are affiliated with the Palestinian Fatah movement, which sponsors the PASF, “and most of them are members of the [PA] Security Forces or their sons,” the investigation found. Nearly 400 Palestinians imprisoned for terrorism are known PASF members….
Panama to end relationship with China’s premier foreign investment program after US pressure

Panama says it will not renew its agreement involving China’s premier foreign investment program after Panamanian leaders met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, marking another victory for President Trump.
Panama will allow its 2017 trade and development pact involving China’s “Belt and Road Initiative” to expire, said Panamanian President José Raúl Mulino at a press conference Sunday — after months of threats by Trump to take back the Panama Canal, claiming “American ships are being severely overcharged” and accusing China of “operating” the crucial waterway.
Mulino even said he will explore options to see if his country’s involvement in the agreement can end sooner than the one or two years it may take for it.
The “Belt and Road Initiative” — established in 2013 as China’s main project for investing in foreign infrastructure — has ultimately increased its influence around the world.
Mulino said Panama would be interested in the US investing in the country’s infrastructure instead…
Trump To Withdraw US From UN Agencies That Whitewash ‘Horrific Human Rights Violations’

President Donald Trump is expected to sign an executive order on Tuesday withdrawing the United States from the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) and cutting funding to UNRWA, the U.N. relief agency for Gaza, which has been widely criticized following reports that its staffers were involved in terrorism.
The order, which will reinstate policies from Trump’s first term, will cite anti-Israel bias within both the council and UNRWA, Politico reported.
The Biden administration last year suspended funding to the UNRWA for one year after reports emerged that some staffers had been involved in Hamas’s October 7 terrorist attack on Israel.
The UNHRC “has not fulfilled its purpose and continues to be used as a protective body for countries committing horrific human rights violations,” the Trump administration said in a fact sheet, according to Politico….
Russia Says NATO About To Throw Zelenskiy Under Bus By Disclosing Embezzlement Of Billions
Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) has released a theory about the coming election of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
The information released is very self-serving for the Russian propaganda machine in the war, but there is truth.
Tsarizm has been actively talking about corruption in the Ukrainian government and the siphoning of funds from the war effort for years.
The following is from Russian state news entity TASS.
“NATO would like to see the head of the Kiev regime gone, ideally by way of a pseudo-democratic election. The alliance reckons that this election will be held in Ukraine no later than this fall. Ahead of the election campaign, the NATO headquarters is hatching plans on a massive smear campaign to undermine Zelensky’s credibility,” the SVR said.
Thus, according to the SVR, the plan is to “make public information that the ‘president’ and his inner circle have embezzled more than $1.5 billion from funds meant to buy munitions.”
Additionally, the plan reportedly includes “exposing a scheme in which payments meant for 130,000 fallen Ukrainian soldiers—who remain officially listed as active-duty personnel—have been funneled abroad by Zelensky and his associates,” the SVR said. “They also plan to pull the curtain down on repeated instances of the ‘Ukrainian supreme commander-in-chief’s’ involvement in selling large quantities of Western-donated weapons and vehicles to various armed groups in African countries,” writes Russian state news entity TASS.
So, “even NATO realizes that Zelensky’s time is up. It’s just unfortunate that this realization came at the cost of the lives of hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian citizens,” it stated.
Emergency Crews Deployed on Santorini as Earthquake Swarm Worries Greek Experts

SANTORINI, Greece—Schools were closed and emergency crews deployed on the volcanic Greek island of Santorini on Monday after a spike in seismic activity raised concerns about a potentially powerful earthquake.
Precautions were also ordered on several nearby Aegean Sea islands—all popular summer vacation destinations—after more than 200 undersea earthquakes were recorded in the area over the past three days.
“We have a very intense geological phenomenon to handle,” Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said from Brussels, where he was attending a European meeting. “I want to ask our islanders first and foremost to remain calm, to listen to the instructions of the Civil Protection (authority).”
Mobile phones on the island blared with alert warnings about the potential for rockslides, while several earthquakes caused loud rumbles.
Authorities banned access to some seaside areas, including the island’s old port, that are in close proximity to cliffs….
Trump wants ‘guarantee’ that US will get Ukraine’s rare earth minerals in exchange for aid

President Trump expressed interest Monday in tying continued aid to Ukraine to the US getting access to rare earth minerals from the war-torn country.
“We’re looking to do a deal with Ukraine where they’re going to secure what we’re giving them with their rare earth and other things,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office, adding that he wants a “guarantee” in exchange for US money.
“We’re handing them money hand over fist. We’re giving them equipment. [The] European [Union] is not keeping up with us.”
Ukraine is one of the largest rare earth mineral suppliers in the world, and has the largest titanium reserves in Europe.
The country also boasts deposits of lithium, beryllium, manganese, gallium, uranium, zirconium, graphite, apatite, fluorite, and nickel, per the World Economic Forum.
Russian forces have already taken parts of Eastern Ukraine that had historically provided the rest of the country with key minerals, notably much of the coal-supplying Donbas region.
But other parts of Ukraine, including the Dnieper River basin that runs through the center of the country and the Carpathian Mountains in the West, have massive supply of minerals and natural gas under Kyiv’s control….
Trump to Suspend Funding to South Africa Over Land Expropriation

President Donald Trump said on Sunday that he would suspend future U.S. funding to South Africa in response to the country’s new controversial expropriation law, which allows land seizures by the state.
In a Truth Social post, Trump accused South Africa of seizing land and “treating certain classes of people very badly.”
“It is a bad situation that the Radical Left Media doesn’t want to so much as mention,” the president stated. “A massive Human Rights violation, at a minimum, is happening for all to see. The United States won’t stand for it, we will act.”
South African President Cyril Ramaphosa signed a bill into law on Jan. 23 that allows provincial and national authorities to “expropriate land in the public interest” for various reasons, “subject to just and equitable compensation being paid.”
The expropriation law aims to address racial disparities in land ownership. 30 years after the apartheid system was abandoned, most farmland remains owned by white people.
Some members of the coalition government question the constitutionality of the law and have indicated they may challenge it in court…
DHS chief Kristi Noem saddles up on horseback to survey Texas region where Border Patrol was falsely accused of racism

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem donned a cowboy hat and boots and mounted a trusty steed last weekend for her first tour of the southern border since her confirmation.
Noem joined Border Patrol agents in Del Rio, Texas, Sunday morning, the same area made infamous several years back when now-unemployed ex-VP Kamala Harris falsely accused agents of whipping Haitian migrants as a crowd of nearly 14,000 crossed into the US illegally.
“The men and women of Border Patrol are ENERGIZED and HAPPY again because they get to do their job. They are able to fulfill their mission to keep America safe,” Noem wrote in an X post Monday.
She also lambasted her predecessor Alejandro Mayorkas, whom she said “rode over the Border Patrol and didn’t let them do their jobs” in an earlier post sharing video of her leading a group of around a dozen border agents on horseback along the dusty route…

Man kidnaps boy during carjacking, holds him for ransom: Police

A man is now in jail after police say he was involved in a carjacking at a gas station in Tennessee where he kidnapped a 14-year-old and held him for ransom on Sunday.
Cordarius Johnson, 24, is charged with aggravated robbery, carjacking, especially aggravated kidnapping, assault on first responder, and resisting official detention.
A woman told police she was looking after her friend’s 14-year-old son and that during that time he went out with her nephew. The nephew returned to the home on foot stating that he had been carjacked and that the 14-year-old had been kidnapped.
The nephew says the suspects took $600 from him and his cell phone.
Shortly afterward, the woman says she received a video call from the 14-year-old with an AR-15 firearm barrel to his head. The suspects were demanding $1,000 cash in exchange for the boy’s return…
JD Vance visits East Palestine 2 years after train derailment

Vice President JD Vance was in East Palestine, Ohio, on Monday, two years after a toxic train derailment scarred the town for generations.
With Vance were Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, new Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin, and Republican Sens. Bernie Moreno and Jon Husted. Husted recently replaced the vice president in the Senate.
Speaking at a press conference, Vance said he talked to President Donald Trump about the trip to the village.
“President Trump just wanted to deliver a message that this community will not be forgotten, will not be left behind and we’re in it for the long haul in East Palestine,” Vance said.
He added that it’s a shame the clean-up wasn’t completed during the last administration, but vowed to finish it during Trump’s second term.
After a train carrying chemicals derailed on the border of Pennsylvania and Ohio on Feb. 3, 2023, officials burned 116,000 gallons of vinyl chloride and forever changed the town.
Vinyl chloride is still being detected in the area, and residents have been sick, reporting rashes and upper respiratory issues….
Blaze News original: Crushed faces, broken legs, knockout punches just tip of the iceberg in savage attacks on pro-lifers

The risks pro-life advocates take these days when they head to the streets and tell others that abortion is wrong are numerous and dire.
In this roundup, we’ll be taking a look at how some of them were physically attacked over their convictions.
But physical attacks are only a part of what pro-life advocates face. Leftists who bully, intimidate, and harass them can make the prospect of protesting on behalf of the unborn downright scary, too.
Readers of Blaze News likely haven’t forgotten the outrageous behavior of then-Pennsylvania state Rep. Brian Sims, a leftist who posted video of himself harassing an “old white lady” saying the rosary near a Philadelphia Planned Parenthood in 2019.
That ain’t the half of it. Sims also offered $100 for the identities of young women praying in front of the same abortion facility. The mother of the teen girls soon told Tucker Carlson that Sims “came in hot … yelling” at them and that she had to intervene. In the end, Sims’ bullying sparked a pro-life rally in front of the Planned Parenthood featuring speakers such as Matt Walsh, Live Action president and founder Lila Rose, and iconic pro-life leader Abby Johnson.
Oh, and does anyone remember the assistant principal from a Pennsylvania high school who resigned after he was caught on video in April 2017 screaming and cursing at teenage pro-life advocates on a public sidewalk in front of the school? Check out the still-startling video here….
Biden’s State Dept spent $50K on ‘transgender opera’ in Colombia, another $32K on transgender comic book in Peru

President Joe Biden’s Department of State spent at least $100,000 promoting “LGBTQ” propaganda abroad, according to a Republican congressman.
House Foreign Affairs Committee Chair Brian Mast (R-Fla.) said the Biden administration spent absurd amounts of money to promote publications and events in different countries.
Mast appeared on CBS’ “Face the Nation,” where he talked about a “purging” of the State Department and freezing foreign aid as being “very important steps” toward securing the United States.
Host Margaret Brennan immediately wanted to know what Mast meant by “purging.”
Mast replied by saying the department is riddled with hundreds of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
“What proof do you have of that?” Brennan asked, but Mast was ready for the question.
“Sure, let’s list them off,” he began. “Half a billion dollars to expand atheism in Nepal, $50,000 to do a transgender opera in Colombia, $47,000 to do an LGBTQ trans comic book in Peru, $20,000 a pop to do drag shows in Ecuador.”..
Nuremberg 2.0? Here’s what REAL COVID accountability looks like

It’s been five years since the United States locked down in response to the coronavirus pandemic, and while many Americans have chosen to forgive and forget, there are others who simply can’t — and for good reason.
“There is no accountability unless wrongdoing is punished, and trials are what we need. Actual courts of law,” Matthew Peterson of “Blaze News Tonight” tells co-host Jill Savage. “There’s a lot of different ways to go after wrongdoing, but I think that a lot of Americans who went through this feel like there has to be some real legal trial.”
And this is not a common response from the right.
“The right doesn’t usually say, ‘We’re going to put all our opponents in jail.’ That was something the left has been all about for the last nine years. But right now, yeah, we’re going to need that,” Peterson says.
Savage notes that some of their listeners are even calling for criminal malpractice charges and charges for crimes against humanity — and not allowing it to simply be a “congressional investigation.”…
Rubio talks U.S.-Panama cooperation on migration

During his visit to Panama, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio emphasized collaboration between the United States and Panama in addressing regional migration challenges.
Rubio praised the joint efforts aimed at curbing illegal immigration and human trafficking.
“We have worked very hard together, and we will continue to do so as a part of very many things. We have strong cooperation with our friends and partners in the Panamanian government,” Rubio stated.
A key component in the partnership is a program designed to deter mass migration by sending a clear message to potential migrants.
Rubio said, “The only people who benefit from mass migration are traffickers, and so this is a program that shows how cooperating with our strong allies here in Panama can help to stem the flow by creating a disincentive, by sending a clear message that if you come and you come irregularly, you may be stopped and you may be returned to your country of origin, and it can be done in a regular and dignified but effective way and we’ve seen it in the numbers.”
While migration was the primary focus of Rubio’s remarks, his visit comes as U.S. officials have put pressure on Panama over Chinese involvement in the canal, and despite the strong focus on U.S.-Panama collaboration, Rubio notably did not address the Panama Canal….
NPR and PBS funding in the spotlight as DOGE committee eyes cuts

The U.S. Department of Government Efficiency has been aggressively identifying and eliminating a wide swath of federal spending since President Donald Trump took office.
Now, a new subcommittee in the House bearing a similar name, Delivering on Government Efficiency (DOGE), is taking a look at National Public Radio and the Public Broadcasting Service, both of which are partially funded by the federal government.
Subcommittee chair Majorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., accused NPR and PBS of “systematically biased content” and invited the heads of both groups to testify before Congress.
“The Subcommittee is concerned by National Public Radio’s (NPR) blatantly ideological and partisan coverage and looks forward to your participation in our upcoming hearing,” Greene wrote in a letter to NPR. “This hearing is an opportunity for you to explain to Congress and the American people why federal funds should be used for public radio – particularly the sort of content produced by NPR.”
NPR has been under fire for years for its perceived liberal bias. Greene pointed to NPR’s coverage of the Hunter Biden laptop story, the Russian collusion story, and most recently its coverage of Elon Musk’s salute at a rally that many Democrats alleged was a Nazi salute…

Trump replaces Consumer Protection Bureau head with Bessent amid defunding talks

Days after sacking the director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, President Donald Trump has appointed Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent to temporarily head the bureau.
The back-to-back actions come as some Republican lawmakers have introduced legislation to defund the CFPB entirely, with U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, calling it “an unelected, unaccountable bureaucratic agency that has imposed burdensome and harmful regulations.”
The bureau, created in 2010 under the Obama administration as a response to the 2008 financial crisis, has been targeted by Republicans since its inception.
The bureau is tasked with handling deceptive and fraudulent business practices and maintaining a fair marketplace, but many lawmakers and businesses have accused it of overstepping its bounds.
In January, then-director of the CFPB Rohit Chopra finalized a rule that would remove an estimated $49 billion in medical bills from the credit reports of about 15 million Americans and prevent lenders from using medical information in lending decisions.
The decision quickly prompted lawsuits from credit unions and evoked heightened criticism from Republicans, many of whom are now celebrating Trump’s decision to make Bessent acting director of the CFPB…
Ten Problems with DEI That Frighten the Public

The diversity, equity, and inclusion project, often seen as a major element of the so-called “woke” creed along with green fanaticism, keeps popping up as a possible subtext in a variety of recent tragedies.
In the case of the Los Angeles fires, Mayor Karen Bass, who cut the fire department budget, was warned of the mounting fire dangers of the Santa Anna winds and parched brush on surrounding hillsides.
No matter—she junketed in Uganda. When furor followed, on cue, her defenders decried a racialist attack on “a black woman.”
Her possible stand-in deputy mayor for “security” was under suspension for allegations that he called in a bomb threat to the Los Angeles city council—a factor mysteriously forgotten.
The fire chief previously was on record mostly for highlighting her DEI agendas rather than emphasizing traditional fire department criteria like response time or keeping fire vehicles running and out of the shop.
One of her deputies had boasted that in emergencies, citizens appreciated most of all that arriving first responders looked like them. (But most people in need worry only whether the first responders seem to know what they are doing.)
She further snarked that if women allegedly were not physically able to carry out a man in times of danger, then it was the man’s fault for being in the wrong place.
The Los Angeles water and power czar—culpable for a needlessly dry reservoir that could have provided 117 million gallons to help save Pacific Palisades—was once touted primarily as the first Latina to run such a vital agency.
But did that fact matter much to the 18 million people whose very survival depended on deliverable water in the otherwise desert tinderbox of greater Los Angeles?
FBI agents surveyed on role in Jan. 6 investigations

- The Trump administration surveyed thousands of FBI agents about their roles relating to the 2021 Capitol riots. All agents had to complete the survey by Monday, Feb. 3.
- The survey asked agents to detail rank, participation in Jan. 6 investigations and what capacity.
- Some agents feared the survey would lead to termination.
The Justice Department has asked thousands of FBI employees to fill out a survey about their roles in the investigations into the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riots. The deadline to complete the 12-question survey, aimed at understanding the role individuals played, is 3 p.m. ET Monday, Feb. 3.
What does the survey ask?
The survey asks FBI officials to detail their rank, whether they participated in Jan. 6 investigations and in what capacity….
Texas National Guard can now make arrests in federal immigration crackdown

- The Texas National Guard can now join the Trump administration in its ongoing immigration crackdown. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott announced the news late Sunday night, Feb. 2, via social media.
- Abbott said the move is meant to boost border security.
- Reports indicated about 3,000 guard members will assist the federal government when their duties begin.
The Texas National Guard will now participate in the Trump administration’s crackdown on illegal immigration. Gov. Greg Abbott announced the move on social media Sunday, Feb. 2.
What did Abbott say?
“In an agreement I signed between Texas and Trump’s Customs and Border Protection, the Texas National Guard is granted the power of immigration officials to make immigration arrests,” Abbott posted to X.
Abbott said the move will boost border security effective immediately.
How many guards will Abbott provide?
The new agreement would grant soldiers the authority to conduct roving patrols and fulfill the duties of an immigration agent, provided that they are accompanied by a federal immigration officer or Border Patrol agent.
According to Newsweek, this new authorization adds about 3,000 Texas Army National Guard soldiers to the ranks of those now assisting the federal government in immigration enforcement…
China Reportedly Preparing Trade Talks With Trump After Weekend Tariff Shock

Just two weeks into his second term, President Trump announced the first round of tariffs on Saturday, marking the resumption of his trade war. The new measures impose a 25% tariff on imported goods from Mexico and Canada—though energy imports from Canada will face a reduced rate of 10%—and a 10% tariff on imports from China. The weekend announcement surprised many world leaders and Wall Street but apparently captured Beijing’s attention.
The Wall Street Journal reports that China is preparing for trade talks with the Trump administration, aiming to restore a trade agreement with the US and reaffirm its pledge not to devalue the yuan for a competitive advantage in global trade. Based on unnamed sources, the report has not yet been officially confirmed.
Here’s more from the report:
As part of its effort to prepare for negotiations, according to the people, China’s initial proposal will center on restoring a trade agreement Beijing signed in early 2020 with the first Trump administration but didn’t implement.
The so-called Phase One deal required China to increase purchases of American goods and services by $200 billion over a two-year period. While Trump himself has described Phase One as the “greatest deal” ever made, many trade experts and business executives called it unrealistic to begin with.
Having failed to deliver on its pledge under the deal to increase US purchases, Beijing now is preparing to talk to the Trump administration about areas where China can buy more from the US, the people said.
Other parts of China’s plan, the people said, include an offer to make more investments in the US—in sectors such as batteries for electric cars, a renewed pledge by Beijing not to devalue the yuan to gain competitive advantage, and a commitment to reduce exports of fentanyl precursors.
Beijing views the 10% tariff as Trump’s way of bringing all parties to the negotiating table. Trump has threatened to impose maximum-pressure tariffs on China, potentially as high as 60%…
Anti-ICE Protesters Waving Mexican Flags Shut Down Freeway in Downtown L.A.

Protesters were seen shutting down traffic on the 101 Freeway in Downtown Los Angeles on Sunday while waving Mexican flags in opposition to ongoing ICE raids in the city and elsewhere in the United States.
The protests reportedly began on Olvera Street and later grew to a few thousand people as they marched on City Hall and later to the 101 Freeway where they shut down traffic.
While some in the crowd waved American flags, a majority were waving Mexican flags or flags from other countries south of the Southern Border. Video of the protest began circulating online:
According to CBS News, the California Department of Transportation District 7 reported on X that the “101 Freeway was closed in both directions between the 110 Freeway and Mission Road, advising drivers to avoid the area.”
“Meanwhile, the LAPD reported major gridlock along Spring Street, Main Street, Los Angeles Street, Arcadia Street, and both northbound and southbound lanes of the 101 Freeway,” added CBS News.
Dozens of Education Department workers are put on leave over Trump’s anti-DEI order

Dozens of employees at the U.S. Education Department were put on paid administrative leave in response to President Donald Trump’s order banning diversity, equity and inclusion programs in the federal government, according to a labor union that represents hundreds of workers in the agency.
It’s unclear how many workers were put on leave or for what reasons, said Sheria Smith, president of American Federation of Government Employees Local 252.
The majority of employees placed on leave do not work in DEI initiatives and span all branches of the agency, she said, from an office that sends billions of dollars to K-12 schools to an investigative office that enforces civil rights laws.

USAID Staffers Told to Stay Home After Musk Said Trump Agreed to Shutter It

The advice came via a notice distributed to the career bureaucrats, AP reports, after Elon Musk announced President Donald Trump had agreed with him to shut the agency down.
According to AP, USAID staffers said they “also tracked more than 600 employees who reported being locked out of the agency’s computer systems overnight.”
Those still in the system received emails declaring, “at the direction of Agency leadership” the headquarters building “will be closed to Agency personnel on Monday, Feb. 3.”
The shutdown came in the wake of Musk, who’s leading a civilian review of the federal government with the Republican president’s agreement, revealing early Monday he had spoken with Trump about the six-decade agency and “he agreed we should shut it down.”..
Trump pauses tariffs on Mexico goods after talk with country’s President Sheinbaum

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum announced Monday that tariffs will be paused for one month after a call with President Donald Trump.
She said both of them came to an agreement regarding trade and security.
“We had a good conversation with President Trump with great respect for our relationship and sovereignty,” Sheinbaum wrote on the social media platform, X.
She said Mexico will reinforce the northern border with 10,000 members of the National Guard to prevent drug trafficking.
Trump said on TRUTH Social that he looks forward to more negotiations with Sheinbaum.
