Man accused of killing Georgia mother was in US illegally: Officials
A man from Honduras accused of killing a Georgia woman entered the United States illegally and was initially arrested just over four years ago, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
David Hector Rivas-Sagastume, 21, has been charged with capital murder in the death of Camillia Williams, a 52-year-old mother of five and grandmother. Her body was found dumped in a wooded area, authorities said.
ICE has lodged an immigration detainer with the Cobb County Jail to ensure Rivas-Sagastume remains in custody for removal proceedings, according to WSB-TV.
Williams’ death comes as the Trump administration intensifies its crackdown on illegal immigration, pledging more deportations and defining its controversial policy of sending hundreds of alleged Venezuelan gang members and other immigrants to an anti-terrorism prison in El Salvador.
The Department of Homeland Security said Rivas-Sagastume entered the U.S. illegally on March 17, 2021, and was subsequently arrested by Border Patrol agents. He was later issued a notice to appear in court, and a judge ordered his deportation on July 11, 2023.
Police allege that Rivas-Sagastume killed Willaims in a brutal attack late March 11 or early March 12, during which he placed her in a chokehold and then kneeled on her neck, applying his entire body weight, according to an arrest warrant obtained by WSB-TV….
Michigan couple Paul Akeo and Christy Akeo held in Mexican prison: Daughter
Paul and Christy Akeo, a couple from Spring Arbor, Michigan, are currently being held in a maximum-security Mexican prison, their family said.
Lindsey Hull, Christy’s daughter, said her mother and stepfather were arrested on March 4 at an airport in Cancun and have been held without bond for 21 days.
Speaking with NewsNation affiliate WLNS, she alleged that the couple was being held because they had challenged charges made on their American Express credit card by The Palace Company, owners of Palace Resorts.
Hull has dismissed these claims as false and defamatory, writing on social media that American Express sided with the Akeos regarding the incident.
“That’s why it’s so important to share our story and spread our truth,” wrote Hull in a text message to WLNS. “Truth will prevail.”

The White House announced that Ukraine and Russia agreed to a ceasefire in the Black Sea to ensure safe navigation as they move closer toward a peace deal.
The agreement also implements a ban on attacks by the two countries on each other’s energy facilities.
It is the clearest move to a wider ceasefire deal that the Trump administration sees as a positive step toward ending the war.
The agreements reached in Saudi Arabia follow talks initiated by President Donald Trump, who has vowed to swiftly end the war.
‘The United States and Russia have agreed to ensure safe navigation, eliminate the use of force, and prevent the use of commercial vessels for military purposes in the Black Sea,’ the White House said in a statement.
Both countries said they would rely on the U.S. to enforce the deals as discussions remain ongoing in Jeddah.

Another race hoax? School board member charged after allegedly planting noose on her own desk
Amember of the school board of directors in Allentown, Pennsylvania, has been criminally charged after she apparently fabricated a race hoax by allegedly fashioning a noose and planting it on her desk.
Around 7:40 a.m. on January 10, the Allentown Police Department received a call from LaTarsha Brown, a 42-year-old city employee and school board member. Brown reported that a half-hour earlier, she had arrived at her desk on the third floor at City Hall and discovered “what she believed to be a noose” lying there, a statement from the APD said.
Brown reportedly acknowledged to police that she picked up the item and took a picture of it but did not do “much more than that.” She also quickly fired off a lengthy email to her work colleagues, ostensibly about the alleged incident.
By that time, law enforcement was already busy conducting an investigation into the alleged noose. Officers identified all the city employees who accessed the third floor of City Hall between the time Brown left work on the afternoon of January 9 until she returned to work the following day.
Cops also asked each of the employees whether they were willing to provide a sample of their DNA. “Every city employee agreed, except Ms. Brown,” the APD statement said, though she eventually reversed course after the Lehigh County D.A.’s office secured a search warrant…

At my request, on December 30, 2020, the Department of Justice provided the White House with a binder of materials related to the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Crossfire Hurricane investigation. Portions of the documents in the binder have remained classified and have not been released to the Congress or the public. I requested the documents so that a declassification review could be performed and so I could determine to what extent materials in the binder should be released in unclassified form.
I determined that the materials in that binder should be declassified to the maximum extent possible. In response, and as part of the iterative process of the declassification review, under a cover letter dated January 17, 2021, the Federal Bureau of Investigation noted its continuing objection to any further declassification of the materials in the binder and also, on the basis of a review that included Intelligence Community equities, identified the passages that it believed it was most crucial to keep from public disclosure. I have determined to accept the redactions proposed for continued classification by the FBI in that January 17 submission.

Florida Rep. Steube Intros Resolution Authorizing Military Force Against Mexican Drug Cartels
In a legislative move aimed at escalating the United States’ war on organized crime and fentanyl trafficking, U.S. Rep. Greg Steube (R-Fla.) has introduced a joint resolution to authorize the use of American military force against nine of the most dangerous Mexican drug cartels, including Tren de Aragua, MS-13, and the Sinaloa Cartel.
The resolution, filed this week in the House of Representatives, grants President Donald Trump the authority to deploy the full force of the U.S. Armed Forces against cartels that have, according to Steube, “violated the territorial integrity of the United States” and pose “a clear and evident danger” to American lives and sovereignty.

Marie, 43, a service coordinator for early intervention said she reported Guardia’s increasingly bizarre behavior before leaving the church in 2016 — but “nothing was ever done about it”.
The Lynchburg woman is speaking out about the 2023 break-ins, caught on security camera footage.
The next night, while still out of town, Marie received another alert — this time showing Guardia entering her backyard.
The camera feed revealed Guardia entering through the basement — into her daughter’s bedroom.
“The entire basement is my daughter’s bedroom, which is like a den,” she explained.

Instead, the AI-led study found that temperatures change before atmospheric CO2 changes and that solar activity and natural cycles drive global temperature changes.
Released in February 2025, Grok 3 is designed to solve complex problems.
It can retrieve information in real time and provide contextually relevant responses.
Researchers Jonathan Cohler, David Legates, Franklin Soon, and Willie Soon used Grok 3 to scrutinize climate-related datasets and climate change models.
They sought to establish whether the anthropogenic global warming narrative is supported by evidence.
“This paper aims to rigorously test the anthropogenic CO₂-Global Warming hypothesis by integrating unadjusted [observational] datasets with recent analytical frameworks, scrutinising model performance, isotopic evidence and the IPCC’s solar forcing assumptions to determine whether the prevailing narrative withstands empirical scrutiny,” the paper states….
Social Security conducting ‘major’ records cleanup, marking 7M listed age 120+ as deceased
The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) announced the ongoing records cleanup on social media, saying the process has taken weeks.
“For the past 3 weeks, Social Security has been executing a major cleanup of their records. Approximately 7 million numberholders, all listed age 120+, have now been marked as deceased. Another ~5 million to go,” DOGE announced on social media.
The effort comes after billionaire Elon Musk, the face of DOGE, highlighted the huge number of Social Security numbers assigned to Americans with unlikely or impossible ages.
“The logic flow diagram for the Social Security system looks INSANE. No one person actually knows how it works. The payment files that move between Social Security and Treasury have significant inconsistencies that are not reconciled. It’s wild,” Musk declared in February.
