Lutnick says Trump has agreed to eliminate income taxes for Americans making less than $150K

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick on Friday said that he has received confirmation from the president that the U.S. will eliminate income taxes on households making less than $150K a year, if he successfully balances the budget.
President Donald Trump previously teased eliminating the federal income tax in January, claiming that if his plans with tariffs work out then he would eliminate the federal tax.
Lutnick told the “All In” podcast that he was recently in the car with the president when the idea was floated again.
“I’m in the car with him and I said we’re going to balance the budget,’ Lutnick said. “And I said, ‘But I have one favor to ask you: If we can balance the budget for you, will you agree to waive all income tax for every person who makes less than $150k a year in the United States of America?’ Which, by the way, is about 85% of Americans.
“And the reason you want to work for Donald Trump is he looks at me, he goes, ‘Sure,'” the secretary continued. “You realize, the President of the United States said, ‘If you balance the budget, sure.’ And he’s not lying; he’s not kidding. He’s like, ‘Yeah.’”..
Trump EPA Cancels Funding for Nancy Pelosi’s and Ilhan Omar’s Pet Climate Projects

The EPA canceled two multimillion-dollar environmental justice grants that Democratic Reps. Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) and Ilhan Omar (Minn.) helped to secure just weeks before President Donald Trump took office, the Washington Free Beacon has learned.
Pelosi helped secure a $20 million grant awarded to the San Francisco County Transportation Authority to help develop six green transportation projects—including the purchase of an electric bus, installation of electric ferry charging ports, and creation of a bike-share program. “This project will create a cleaner, greener city where reliable public transportation promotes equity and opportunity for all San Franciscans,” Pelosi said in a statement announcing the grant in December.
Omar, meanwhile, was involved in securing a $10 million grant to build solar panels and energy efficiency upgrades at the Minneapolis American Indian Center and develop a geothermal energy system at the Sabathani Community Center. The partnership between the two Minneapolis-based community centers would strengthen the resilience of an area that is “home to low-income communities disproportionately impacted by climate change,” Omar wrote to the EPA months before the agency awarded the grant.
“Recent examples of the importance of these two legacy organizations includes [sic] their response to the civil unrest following the murder of George Floyd and how they served as critical resources throughout the pandemic,” she wrote in the letter obtained by the Free Beacon.
The Minneapolis partnership and San Francisco development projects, a source familiar told the Free Beacon, are among the more than 400 environmental justice and DEI-related grants that EPA administrator Lee Zeldin, in collaboration with the White House’s Department of Government Efficiency, has canceled in recent weeks…
CAMERA slams ‘Politico’ for omitting Georgetown fellow’s Hamas ties

The Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting and Analysis (CAMERA) slammed Politico for neglecting to mention in a March 19 article that a Georgetown University professor, whom the Trump administration is seeking to deport, has ties to the Hamas terror organization.
“In their rush to frame this as a story about political persecution, Politico completely ignored the facts,” stated David Litman, a senior analyst at CAMERA who probed the matter.
CAMERA research “left no doubt” that Badar Khan Suri, a fellow at the university’s Alwaleed Center for Christian and Muslim Understanding, and his wife Mapheze Ahmad Yousef Saleh, a Georgetown graduate student, have ties to Hamas, per Litman.
“She herself admitted her role in Hamas in her own articles,” Litman wrote. “This isn’t merely a question of political views. It’s about providing material support to a terrorist organization that has American blood on its hands. Saleh believes that ‘America is the plague.’ Those are her words.”
The Politico article, titled “Trump is seeking to deport another academic who is legally in the country, the lawsuit says,” depicted the couple as victims of political persecution.
In a Feb. 13 National Review article, Litman noted that Saleh’s father was a senior Hamas official and that she has worked directly for Hamas, celebrated the Oct. 7 terror attacks and mocked the hostages kidnapped to the Gaza Strip.
Litman’s article on the CAMERA website includes a photo from the couple’s wedding, in which they hold a photograph of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat kissing the head of Hamas founder Ahmed Yassin…
Trump Administration Sends New Group of Venezuelans Linked to Aragua Train to Guantanamo Bay

After the Trump administration sent more than 200 Venezuelan immigrants to El Salvador, alleging alleged links to the dreaded Tren de Aragua gang, a new group of people—mostly Venezuelan immigrants—was sent on a charter flight from El Paso, Texas, to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
According to a report by the New York Times, Trump administration officials with knowledge of the move claimed that the immigrants would also have ties to the Tren de Aragua and would be awaiting deportation.
However, the NYT also detailed that officials showed no evidence to back up their claim.
This shipment of Venezuelan illegal immigrants to Guantanamo comes amid a heavy legal dispute between migrant rights advocates and the federal government, which is using the unusual Alien Enemies Act to facilitate the expulsion of immigrants who allegedly have ties to the Aragua Train, a Venezuelan gang that operates in several countries in the hemisphere and has been labeled by the Trump Administration as a terrorist group.
This new transfer of immigrants also means the return of Venezuelan nationals to the base for the first time since March 11, when the Trump Administration transferred back to the United States 40 men who had been temporarily held at Guantanamo…

Trump to pay NASA astronauts out of his own pocket after disgraceful overtime salary

President Donald Trump announced that he would personally front up the cash for the stranded NASA astronauts after they were paid just $5 per extra day.
Despite being cut off from their friends and families for months without access to showers or laundry services, Williams and Wilmore received the same $5 daily stipend – $1,430 for the whole trip – afforded to government employees taking a business trip.
Speakin from the Oval Office on Friday, President Trump was stunned to discover how little Suni and Butch had been paid for their ordeal.
“Nobody has ever mentonied this to me,” he stated. “If I have to I’ll pay that out of my own pocket. I like that.
“Is that all? That’s not a lot for all they had to go through.”..
New York’s top court strikes down law allowing NYC noncitizens to vote

New York State’s top court struck down a law allowing noncitizens to vote in New York City local elections. The law would’ve given more than 800,000 people with green cards or permanent residence status the ability to cast a ballot.
New York’s high court, however, sided with Republicans who challenged the law, ruling against the measure 6-1 on Thursday, March 20.
The legal issue centered around a section in the New York State Constitution that read, “Every citizen shall be entitled to vote at every election for all officers elected by people.”
Republicans contend this statement outlaws all noncitizens from voting. However, Democrats argued local government should use this as a floor not a ceiling and that local governments have the authority to expand voting rights further if they want…
Minnesota state senator resigns after he was charged with soliciting a minor for prostitution

A Republican Minnesota state senator who was caught in a sting operation resigned under fire Thursday after he was charged with soliciting a minor for prostitution, stepping down before the Senate could vote on whether to expel him.
Justin Eichorn, of Grand Rapids, submitted his resignation in a brief email to Gov. Tim Walz, saying: “I must focus on personal matters at this time. It has been an honor to serve in the Minnesota Senate.”
His former colleagues expressed relief.
“Decisive action needed to take place, and we did not want this to cloud up the issues of the budget going forward, and the things that Minnesotans really need,” Senate Minority Leader Mark Johnson, of East Grand Forks, told reporters. “So we want to take care of this quickly and be done with this.”
Eichorn, 40, has been jailed since his arrest in Bloomington on Monday in an undercover operation targeting commercial sex involving juveniles.
Investigators had placed multiple ads online offering sex for money, according to the charging documents. Eichorn exchanged text messages with an undercover officer purporting to be a 17-year-old girl for several days until they arranged a meet-up, where he was arrested….

Social workers get millions to push DEI in schools

A close look at the Department of Education’s grant funding shows that millions of taxpayer dollars are being spent at universities to train social workers to push Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at K-12 schools.
Now that President Donald Trump has banned that kind of funding, schools will have to find workarounds or drop the programs altogether.
The parental rights group, Parents Defending Education, released a report this week showing over $100 million in Education Department “social work” awards for colleges and universities that has increasingly been used to push DEI ideas into the classroom.
“On the surface, these federal grants were given out to help mitigate mental health issues; in practice, the grant funds went to support programs that explicitly advance social justice ideologies based in critical race theory that include anti-racism and DEI,” the report said. “In fact, the vast majority of university social work programs that we reviewed prioritize anti-racism practices and social justice activism.”
PDE said it found 33 colleges and universities with these kinds of programs, 25 of which were receiving taxpayer-funded grants.
A quick look at the program materials show they train social workers how to push ideas related to “anti-racist and anti-oppressive social work” and “racial capitalism, white supremacy, and structural and institutional racism,” among other related ideas, often in K-12 schools…
More names of men accused of paying for sex at high-end brothels in Mass. being revealed

Court hearings for the 28 “wealthy and well-connected” men accused of being customers of an interstate commercial sex ring that ran high-end brothels in two Massachusetts communities resumed Friday in a Cambridge courtroom.
The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court ruled in November that the hearings would be public. The hearings are taking place in Cambridge District Court.
Eight new alleged brothel customers from Massachusetts and New Hampshire were identified Friday and Cambridge Police Lieutenant Jarred Cabral detailed the allegations against them as he read from police reports:
- Steven Riel, of Laconia, New Hampshire
- Nathaniel Welch, of Concord, Massachusetts
- Jeff Henry, of Exeter, New Hampshire
- Fred Rosenthal, of Marblehead, Massachusetts
- Timothy Ackerson, of Waltham, Massachusetts
- Matthew Fulton, of Belmont, Massachusetts
- Howard Redmond, of Tewksbury, Massachusetts
- Anurag Bajpayee, of Cambridge, Massachusetts
While none of the men appeared in court, Cambridge District Court Clerk Sharon Casey informed their counsel that she would file charges against all of them.
Last week, the names of a dozen accused sex buyers, from communities including Winchester, Lincoln, Concord, Newton, and Waltham, were made public.
The attorneys for the Boston-area “John Does” identified in the black books of the sophisticated interstate high-end brothel network have desperately tried to keep their identities private, arguing that revealing their names violates their privacy.
In November 2023, authorities arrested Han Lee, Junmyung Lee, and James Lee on charges of running a commercial sex network in Watertown, Cambridge, and Virginia, where buyers paid up to $600 per hour for a wide array of advertised sex acts….
White House: Trump Meeting with UAE Yields 10-year, $1.4 trillion Investment Framework in U.S.

United Arab Emirates (UAE) officials committed to a 10-year, $1.4 trillion investment framework in the U.S. after meeting President Donald Trump, a White House official said on Friday.
The new framework will “substantially increase the UAE’s existing investments in the U.S. economy” in AI infrastructure, semiconductors, energy, and American manufacturing, an official told Reuters in confirming the meeting and outcome.
The Reuters report specified further elements of the breakthrough in trade and foreign relations, stating:
The official said the agreement resulted from a meeting that Trump held on Tuesday with UAE national security adviser Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed in the Oval Office and a dinner that Vice President JD Vance and several Cabinet members held with the UAE delegation, which included the heads of major UAE sovereign wealth funds and corporations.
Under terms of the framework, UAE investment fund ADQ, along with U.S. partner Energy Capital Partners, announced a $25 billion U.S.-focused initiative to invest in energy infrastructure and data centers, the official said…
Hegseth beefs up warship presence in the Middle East and will have 2 aircraft carriers in the region

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, in a rare move, is beefing up the Navy warship presence in the Middle East, ordering two aircraft carriers to be there next month as the U.S. increases strikes on the Yemen-based Houthi rebels, according to a U.S. official.
It will be the second time in six months that the U.S. has kept two carrier strike groups in that region, with generally only one there. Prior to that it had been years since the U.S. had committed that much warship power to the Middle East.
According to the official, Hegseth signed orders on Thursday to keep the USS Harry S. Truman in the Middle East for at least an additional month. The official spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss ongoing military operations.
The ship has been conducting operations in the Red Sea against the Houthis and was scheduled to begin heading home to Norfolk, Virginia, at the end of March.
The presence of so much U.S. naval power in the region not only gives commanders additional ships to patrol and launch strikes, but it also serves as a clear message of deterrence to Iran, the Houthis’ main benefactor….

What Ceasefire: European Gas Prices Jump After Ukraine Blows Up Key Gas Pumping Station In Russia In “Act Of Terrorism”

European natural gas prices jumped after an attack on a pumping station in Russia’s Kursk region (formerly held by Ukraine mercenaries until their recent hasty retreat), which formed part of a link that sent fuel to the continent until recently, and which Moscow accused Ukraine of attacking in an “act of terrorism”.
Russia on Friday accused Ukraine of deliberately blowing up the key gas pumping and measuring station in the Kursk region near the Ukrainian border which was under the control of Ukrainian Armed Forces since last August before the area was reclaimed by Russian forces this month, in what it called “an act of terrorism.”
Meanwhile, Ukraine as always played the idiot card, and accused Russia of attacking its own energy facility: the country’s General Staff of the Armed Forces confirmed the Sudzha gas metering station was shelled, but said it was Russians who struck their own facility (just like Ukraine previously accused Russia of blowing up the Nord Stream), pointing to previous instances in which Russia appeared to send soldiers through a disused natural gas pipeline.
In a post on Facebook, the General Staff said the accusations were “baseless,” and part of a “discrediting campaign against Ukraine…The mentioned station was repeatedly shelled by the Russians themselves.”
The transit point is part of a Gazprom pipeline link that, until the start of this year, brought Russian gas to Europe. Some countries that previously depended on those flows had hoped they would eventually resume.
NASA satellite imagery indicated wide-scale fires covered the gas-station area and the surrounding territory….

Russia unleashes one of its largest drone attacks on Ukraine’s Odesa as Czech leader visits port city

Russia pounded Ukraine’s Black Sea city of Odesa late on Thursday with one of its biggest drone attacks, injuring three teenagers and sparking fires as the Czech president visited, Ukrainian officials said.
The attack comes as the United States is pushing for a peace deal between Ukraine and Russia, and hoping to agree a partial ceasefire that would halt strikes on energy infrastructure by both sides.
Czech President Petr Pavel, a vocal backer of Kyiv who has led an effort to source more than one million artillery shells for Ukraine’s war effort, was in the port city for talks with regional officials at the time of the strikes…
