Previously deported illegal immigrant arrested for rape of 13-year-old Florida boy

A previously deported illegal immigrant has been arrested in Florida for the alleged rape of a 13-year-old boy. Samuel Cobos-Carmona, 20, of Mexico, was taken into custody on April 21 in Charlotte County. He has been charged with lewd or lascivious battery by engaging in sexual activity with a minor and was booked into the Charlotte County Jail, records show.
Authorities said Cobos-Carmona was working as a lawn mower when he allegedly approached the victim in the yard behind the victim’s home.
The boy was playing hide-and-seek with his brother and hiding in the woods when Cobos-Carmona asked if the boy wanted to touch his genitals. The victim declined the sexual advancement, resulting in Cobos-Carmona asking the boy if he could touch the child’s buttocks. The boy said, “No,” according to court documents.
According to the report, Cobos-Carmona grabbed the child, held him down, and reportedly sexually assaulted him. The child attempted to scream and fight back. The defendant left when he heard the victim’s younger brother approaching, Gulf Coast News reported.
The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office said the incident occurred on April 13. The victim’s family reported the incident to authorities on April 20. The victim’s father told deputies that his two boys did not immediately disclose what had happened after the incident occurred…
Driver convicted of first-degree murder in case of Colorado teens who threw fatal rock at car

The last of three friends accused of killing a driver in Colorado by throwing a rock through the windshield of her car was convicted of first-degree murder Friday.
The teens were driving around suburban Denver in 2023, throwing rocks at passing cars, when one struck and killed 20-year-old Alexa Bartell in a crime prosecutors classified as murder.
After two of the defendants had taken plea deals, the jury found the third, Joseph Koenig, guilty at the conclusion of a two-week trial during which jurors had to wade through the shifting and competing versions of the truth offered by the defendants. Sentencing is scheduled for June 3.
Koenig, now 20, insisted that another person in the trio threw the rock that killed Bartell. But the two friends, whose agreements with prosecutors could lead to shorter prison sentences, said Koenig threw it.
Chief Deputy District Attorney Katharine Decker told jurors the damage to Bartell’s car was consistent with Koenig, who is left-handed and was driving, throwing the rock, shotput-style, out the driver’s side window at Bartell’s car as one of the friends, Nicholas Karol-Chik, testified…
Houston to host Fleet Week for the first time this November

More than 1,000 sailors and Marines will dock in Houston this November as the city will be a first-time host of Fleet Week to celebrate the 250th birthday of the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps.
Houston Mayor John Whitmire’s office announced the upcoming event Thursday on social media, saying it will bring active-duty military ships to the Port of Houston. Residents will also be able to tour the ships and witness military demonstrations, air shows, educational programs and other public events.
“It’ll be the first time that Fleet Week is in the state of Texas, meaning [the] first time in Houston,” Whitmire said in a video posted online. “We have a great port. We certainly support our military in Houston and the greater Houston area.”
Speaking with Whitmire in the video, U.S. Navy Adm. Daryl Caudle said the Navy had accepted the city’s invitation.
“You invited the Navy to come to Houston and I want to give you the great news that we formally accept that invitation,” Caudle said. “We look forward to bringing the Navy down to Houston. … It’s going to be at least a thousand sailors and Marines, so you’ll see them flood the zone around your great city in the dress uniforms.”
Fleet Week in Houston will be held from Nov. 9-16, according to the U.S. Fleet Forces Command. A Fleet Week event is being held in Florida this week, and another is scheduled for New York in May…
Ex-Taliban commander pleads guilty in killings of US soldiers and kidnapping of journalists

A former Taliban commander pleaded guilty Friday to providing weapons and other support for attacks that killed American soldiers and for key roles in the 2008 gunpoint kidnapping of a reporter for The New York Times and another journalist.
Speaking through an interpreter, Haji Najibullah entered the plea in Manhattan federal court to providing material support for acts of terrorism and conspiring to take hostages.
The bearded Najibullah, wearing a black skull cap over his shaved head, told Judge Katherine Polk Failla that he provided material support including weapons and himself to the Taliban from 2007 to 2009, knowing that his support “would be used to attack and kill United States soldiers occupying Afghanistan.” “As a result of material support I provided to the Taliban, U.S. soldiers were killed,” Najibullah said.
He said his material support also included his role as a Taliban commander in Afghanistan’s Wardak Province, “where the fighters under me were prepared to, and sometimes did, conduct attacks against U.S. soldiers and their allies using suicide bombers, automatic weapons, improvised explosive devices and rocket propelled grenades.”
Najibullah, 49, said he also participated in the hostage taking of David Rohde “and his companions” so demands could be made for ransom and for the release of Taliban prisoners held by the U.S. government….
Secretive ‘Dark Eagle’ Hypersonic Missile Launches from Cape Canaveral

After a successful test from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station last December, the Army on Thursday officially named its long-range hypersonic weapon “Dark Eagle.” The system designed to “disintegrate adversary capabilities” was at it again Friday morning.
Images posted to social media showed the missile launch from Canaveral’s Space Launch Complex 46 while the Eastern Range had posted keep-out notices and warnings for maritime and airspace.
“A combined team of government, academic and industry partners conducted a test on behalf of the Department of Defense from a test site at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station,” according to a statement from the Office of the Secretary of Defense. “We are currently evaluating the results of the test.”
The action on the Space Coast comes a day after the Army officially dubbed the defense system with its new moniker.
“Part of the name pays tribute to the eagle — a master hunter known for its speed, stealth and agility — due to the LRHW’s combination of velocity, accuracy, maneuverability, survivability and versatility,” reads a press release from the DOD. “In addition, the bald eagle — our national bird — represents independence, strength and freedom.”
The release further explained the “dark” portion of the name refers to the hypersonic weapon’s ability to “disintegrate adversary capabilities, including anti-access/area-denial systems, communications capacity, long-range fires and other high-payoff/time-critical targets.”..
Department of Agriculture taking steps to make sure illegal migrants don’t get federal benefits

The Agriculture Department is taking steps to prevent illegal migrants from receiving federal food-assistance benefits.
“President Trump has made it clear that American taxpayers will no longer subsidize illegal aliens,” agency Secretary Brooke Rollins said Thursday in a statement.
The agency runs the federal food assistance program officially titled the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and commonly referred to as “food stamps.”
John Walk, the agency’s acting deputy under-secretary for Food, Nutrition, and Consumer Services, has issued guidance to federal agencies and has asked them to increase verification processes when checking the immigration status of SNAP program applicants.
Illegal migrants generally do not qualify for food stamps, but there are some exceptions.
The guidance mandates states to collect more documents to prove the identity of those applying for SNAP and to crack down on individuals using fake social security numbers for benefits.
Roillins also said the department’s nutrition programs are meant to serve “vulnerable” Americans and those in the U.S. illegally should not get the benefits…
The Most SHOCKING Moments of Glenn’s White House Visit with Trump
Glenn shares behind-the-scenes stories from his incredible trip to Washington, DC, and the White House.
When Glenn sat down for an exclusive interview with President Trump, he didn’t think Trump would also give him a personal tour of the White House, including the Oval Office, his latest troll of Hillary Clinton, and even his personal residence and the Lincoln Bedroom.
Glenn describes the historic treasures Trump showed him, like a copy of the Gettysburg Address. But Glenn can’t tell his favorite parts of the day because of an NDA.
But he gives a hint: Trump is NOT at all who the media portrays him as.

Pam Bondi details judge’s actions before arrest: ‘Can’t make this up’
Attorney General Pam Bondi joins ‘America Reports’ to discuss the arrests of two judges in separate cases for aiding illegal immigrants, one of which is a suspected Tren de Aragua gang member, and the administration’s response.
The jig is up! Newsom busted for blowing state Medicaid dollars on homeless housing

According to Hwang, beginning in 2022 the Biden administration began to offer federal waivers that would “allow states to experiment with their Medicaid programs to try to save money and improve health outcomes” and hence, CalAIM was born.
So naturally, Newsome took the opportunity to implement socialist ideas that have failed since their inception, and obliterated the state’s finances.
For context, CBS News reported less than two weeks ago that there is currently a “$6.2 billion hole in the state’s Medicaid budget.” For more context, those are the losses after just one year.
So Newsom’s actually been “gutting” and stealing from Medi-Cal enrollees to pay for more food stamps and housing the bums, giving the public the illusion of less homelessness—which has been a major complaint from the voters—while the media accuses Trump of being the threat to entitlement programs. Got it; sounds about right.
Like I noted in a blog yesterday, “only the government” is a condemning observation—and it’s at-play again.
Only a government, running a state that happens to be the world’s fourth largest economy, only being beaten by the United States as a whole, China, and Germany, with a GDP of more than $4.1 trillion, could be on the brink of insolvency…

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth Cleans House: Fires All Pentagon Advisory Committees, Including Seat Held by Obama Crony Susan Rice

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has formally terminated the service of every member sitting on the Department of Defense’s advisory committees.
Based on the information available on the website as of Thursday, the now-defunct panels included several well-known Democrats and Bush-era Republicans.
- Janine Davidson (Chair) – Former Under Secretary of the Navy under Obama. A staunch Democrat and longtime proponent of Obama-era military reforms, now steering Pentagon policy advice.
- Michèle Flournoy – Held major Pentagon roles under Clinton and Obama; often discussed as a potential Secretary of Defense under Hillary Clinton or Biden.
- Colin Kahl – National Security Advisor to then-VP Biden, later Under Secretary of Defense for Policy under Biden. Key Biden ally and architect of many failed Middle East strategies during the Obama years.
- Susan Rice – National Security Advisor under Obama; Domestic Policy Advisor under Biden. Central to Obama’s foreign policy blunders and later helped craft Biden’s radical domestic agenda.
- Dana Shell Smith – Career diplomat; served as U.S. Ambassador to Qatar under Obama.
- Eric Edelman – Undersecretary of Defense for Policy under George W. Bush; strong neoconservative background.
- Jon Huntsman Jr. – Served under George W. Bush (Ambassador to Singapore) and Obama (Ambassador to China); briefly served under Trump (Ambassador to Russia).
- Kori Schake – Held roles under Bush; associated with AEI and other think tanks; known for hawkish, internationalist views.
Hegseth’s decisive action came after a 45-day internal review, which concluded that these advisory bodies had become bloated, ineffective, and, in many cases, politically misaligned with the department’s new mission under President Trump’s renewed leadership.
In a statement issued late Thursday, Chief Pentagon Spokesman Sean Parnell made clear that the department was taking a new direction:..
Farage Pledges Reform Government Would Create Ministry For Deportations

The United Kingdom needs a Minister for Deportations, with a whole new staff recruited from outside government to get around open-borders activists inside the Civil Service, says Brexit leader Nigel Farage.
The United Kingdom is less than one week away from the next national elections, with hundreds of mayoral and council competitions up for grabs next Thursday.
Reform UK leader Nigel Farage, whose insurgent party has continued to go from strength to strength, is polling strongly and has now made an announcement on immigration, linking the very high level of arrivals to the degradation of simple, every-day government services and quality-of-life issues faced by millions of Britons.
Speaking from Dover, the coastal city where many thousands of illegal ‘boat migrants’ are landed by the government after they are scooped up by Westminster-directed boats, Mr Farage said a new approach is needed in the United Kingdom, but one that is fundamentally “common sense” and already well-known from history and many nations worldwide.
Calling for a special government department just for removing migrants, he said if his party formed the next government: “We will appoint, we will demand this government does the same, that there is a minister for deportations….
Texas Preschool Teacher Gets Maximum Sentence for Producing Child Pornography

A former Abilene, Texas, preschool teacher was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for producing child pornography involving two young boys, aged 12 and 13.
Mark Penfield Eichorn, 28, received the maximum sentence possible during his recent hearing before U.S. District Judge James Wesley Hendrix. Eichorn was also ordered to pay $66,087.50 in restitution.
Eichorn was indicted in June 2024 and pleaded guilty in October 2024 to Production of Child Pornography.
Eichorn admitted that he paid two young boys, ages 12 and 13, to record videos of themselves performing sexual acts on each other.
At his sentencing, Judge Hendrix told Eichorn that the maximum sentence is warranted, especially for “protection of the public.” In imposing the maximum sentence, Judge Hendrix said, “I have to make a lot of difficult decisions. This is not one of them.”
According to court documents, Eichorn admitted to struggling with desires to sexually assault children since 2019. During this time, he continued to work with children. The preschool teacher admitted to being involved in child pornography trading groups across various Internet platforms, such as Kik and Telegram.
Eichorn confessed to possessing and trading prepubescent child pornography online. Among the disturbing material was a video involving a child between the ages of 10 and 12 years old engaged in sexually explicit conduct…
PragerU’s Carol Roth: The IRS Confiscates More from U.S. Taxpayers Than the GDP of Almost Every Country in the World

During a Thursday episode of The Alex Marlow Show podcast, Roth, a PragerU contributor who is known for her economic, business, and financial commentary, told Marlow that one of the things she loves about PragerU is that the organization “lets me take these big concepts and break them down in a way that even kids can understand.”
Roth recently presented a PragerU video titled “The Government Doesn’t Make Money—You Do” for the organization’s “5-Minute Videos” series which breaks down complex issues for viewers in a clear and concise format.
Marlow expressed his personal appreciation of PragerU’s videos because, despite “writing and reading constantly,” he said there are “still a lot of issues where I don’t have the basic 101 framework that you need. You can’t form an opinion or a strategy when you don’t know the fundamentals.”
“PragerU is really the only entity that’s trying to do that,” Marlow told Roth. “And you do that with this video, which is basically about how taxation is just confiscating wealth from the people who are productive members of society, and just gives it to the government.”
He praised Roth for pointing out the reality that people are taxed “at gunpoint, which means that you can’t get out of this or they will bring the heavy artillery to come get the money from you.”
Roth said she believes there is “a fundamental misunderstanding” about taxation that causes people not to realize that “the government doesn’t make money, it takes it by gunpoint.”…
Daughter catches family friend raping mom with Alzheimer’s, CA officials say

A man accused of raping a woman who has Alzheimer’s disease has been convicted, California prosecutors say. A jury convicted Joseph Lynn Johnson, 46, of rape of an incompetent person, the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office said in an April 24 news release.
Johnson, a family friend, visited the woman’s Port Hueneme home, where she lived with her daughter in February 2020, prosecutors said.
The daughter, who is the caregiver for her mother, stepped away for a shower, prosecutors said. When the daughter returned, she found “Johnson on top of her mother in the bedroom,” prosecutors said.
In addition to rape, a judge found Johnson guilty of the special allegation that the woman was vulnerable, prosecutors said…
Feds launch probe of UC Berkeley over hiding millions in funding from China, other countries

The Department of Education launched an investigation of the University of California, Berkeley, Friday for allegedly running afoul of federal law by failing to report hundreds of millions of dollars in foreign funding — including from China, according to senior administration officials.
UC Berkeley raked in $220 million from Chinese government officials to build a joint Tsinghua-Berkeley Institute in the city of Shenzhen — but never reported the payment despite its price tag exceeding the $250,000 mandatory disclosure threshold of Section 117 of the Higher Education Act.
Those payments were previously revealed as part of a House committee investigation in 2023 — but a senior Education Department official told reporters Friday that “hundreds of millions of dollars” will now be combed through.
The investigation will also uncover whether significant US technologies were transferred to Chinese state-linked entities as part of the arrangement.
“They’ll have 30 days to respond with the records that we requested, and so we hope to have quite a volume of records and we’ll be able to verify the degree to which UC-Berkeley is or is not compliant after our examination of those records,” an Education Department official told reporters….
Tulsi Gabbard warns leakers will be held accountable under Trump admin: ‘These are crimes’
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, after criminally referring two alleged leakers to the Department of Justice, has warned that she will be holding leakers in the intelligence community accountable.
Gabbard appeared on Fox and Friends, and said that leaks from the intelligence community have been happening for “a very long time” and added, “One of the reasons why the American people voted resoundingly for President Trump was to root out the kind of politicization and weaponization of intelligence that has really undermined the trust the American people have in the intelligence community [and] in the national security state.”
She said that leaks also jeopardize national security in general, and then added, “We take this very seriously. It is illegal to leak classified information, and so what you’re seeing here is me carrying out in the promise and the mandate the American people gave Trump, we conducted our own internal investigation. We have referred them now to the Department of Justice and the FBI for an official criminal investigation, because these are crimes and people need to be held accountable to put a stop to this.”
She added that the illegal leak included information that was sent to the Washington Post, then said, “These deep-state criminals leaked classified information for partisan political purposes to undermine POTUS’ agenda. I look forward to working with the Justice Department and FBI to investigate, terminate and prosecute these criminals.”
Last Friday, the Pentagon fired senior aides Dan Caldwell, Colin Carroll, as well as Darin Selnick after the DOJ opened an investigation into the leaks going to the news outlets, The Hill reported….
Bondi leads task force to ‘eradicate anti-Christian bias’ in federal agencies

U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi and other members of President Donald Trump’s cabinet have launched a task force to address anti-Christian bias in federal agencies that they argue escalated under the Biden administration.
The goal of the task force is to identify any unlawful, anti-Christian policies, practices or conduct across the government; seek input from the faith-based organizations and state governments to end anti-Christian bias; and find and fix deficiencies in existing and regulatory practices that might contribute to anti-Christian bias.
“The Biden administration engaged in an egregious pattern of targeting peaceful Christians while ignoring violent anti-Christian offenses,” Bondi said at the task force’s first meeting. “Pro-life Christians were arrested and imprisoned for peacefully praying outside abortion clinics. The FBI spied on traditional Catholics in their parishes. … Vandalism against churches was eight times higher in 2023 than it was in 2018.”
“No longer,” she said. “We ended those abuses at the Department of Justice on Day One. We dropped three ongoing cases against pro-lifers. … Just a few weeks ago, we convicted a man in Arizona for a plot to bomb Christian churches. The Department of Justice will protect religious liberty for Christians and for all Americans,” she said.
The task force was launched in response to an executive order issued by Trump but also in response to pledges Bondi and others made during their confirmation hearings….
Iranian father murders teenage daughter in Tehran revenge killing

Fatemeh Soltani,18, was stabbed to death on the streets of Tehran by her father on April 17, according to women’s rights organizations and international media reports. Some reports indicate the father beheaded Soltani before repeatedly stabbing her.
The young woman was killed outside a nail salon where she worked while she was taking a phone call, according to the reports. She had reportedly moved out of her family home as a result of domestic violence, Iran International reported.
A close friend of the Soltani family told the media: “Fatemeh had been living separately from her father and the family for some time due to domestic violence and had achieved financial independence.”
Soltani’s 48-year-old father told police he murdered his daughter following a “family dispute,’ BBC News and women’s groups reported. Mohammad Reza Alizadeh, the police commander of Islamshahr city, reportedly told local media that the father was angry that Soltani had achieved independence.

Fmr Rep. Santos Sentenced to Over 7 Years in Prison for Fraud, Identity Theft

Ousted former U.S. Rep. George Santos, who lied about his life story and defrauded donors, was sentenced Friday to over seven years in prison, sobbing as he heard his punishment.
The New York Republican, who served in Congress for barely a year before his House colleagues removed him in 2023, pleaded guilty last summer to federal wire fraud and aggravated identity theft.
He admitted to deceiving donors and stealing the identities of nearly a dozen people, including his family members, to fund his winning campaign. As part of a plea deal, Santos has agreed to pay roughly $580,000 in penalties in addition to prison time.
Prosecutors are seeking seven years in federal prison for Santos, arguing in recent court filings that he “remains unrepentant” and has not shown genuine remorse despite what he claims.
They cite recent comments Santos has made on social media in which he casts himself as a victim of prosecutorial overreach…
