The Mainstream Media FINALLY Admits Obamacare Is a Failure

The Affordable Care Act (ACA), more commonly referred to as Obamacare, was signed into law by then-President Barack Obama in March 2010. According to the law’s proponents, Obamacare would expand access to affordable health insurance, improve healthcare quality, and reduce costs. 

“Health insurance costs are far outpacing inflation, leaving more consumers on the hook each year for thousands of dollars in out-of-pocket expenses,” reports CBS News. “At the same time, some insurers are rejecting nearly 1 in 5 claims. That double whammy is leaving Americans paying more for coverage yet sometimes feeling like they’re getting less in return, experts say.”

Frustration over denials and medical costs has fueled an outpouring of vitriol against health insurance companies in the wake of the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. Also last week, a similar outcry led Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield to reverse a decision to limit anesthesia coverage during surgeries.

The anger may be rooted in fears that unexpected medical costs could prove financially ruinous, as well as concerns that essential care could be denied by an insurer, putting health and well-being at risk even for those who have health insurance. 

Some of those anxieties are well-founded: The top cause of bankruptcy in the U.S. is health care-related debt, underscoring the financial stresses that can stem from high medical costs. 

In fact, most adults say they worry about their ability to pay for health care services or unexpected medical bills, a sentiment shared by people regardless of whether they’re financially comfortable or struggling, a KFF survey found earlier this year. 

In 2024, average health insurance premiums rose to $25,572 for families and $8,951 for single workers, increasing 6% and 7% respectively, according to KFF. Premium growth has outpaced inflation almost every year since 2000. 

 Barack Obama and the Democrats promised that the “Affordable” Care Act was going to make health care more affordable. Worse, Democrats and the media have insisted that Obamacare is working.

They’ll cite statistics claiming that more Americans are covered than ever before, but ignore the fact that Americans don’t find health insurance affordable at all.

“Unhappiness with insurers stems from two things: ‘I’m sick and I’m getting hassled,’ and the second is very much cost — ‘I’m paying more than I used to, and I’m paying more than my wages went up,'” Rob Andrews, CEO of the Health Transformation Alliance, told CBS News. He added that “A lot of people think they are getting less” from their insurers….

Mitch McConnell Received Medical Care After Fall During GOP Lunch

McConnell’s latest fall will likely further stoke concerns about the 82-year-old’s health as it follows reports of similar incidents, as well as viral moments where he froze up in 2023 at press conferences. Multiple reporters took to X, formerly Twitter, to announce the latest McConnell incident.

Punchbowl News’ John Bresnahan reported McConnell was being attended to by EMTs after speaking at the lunch. He also reported the Republican leader had a cut on the left side of his face.

McConnell was escorted back to his office by Senate Republican Conference Chair John Barrasso (R-WY), who was hosting the GOP lunch. The lunch is a weekly event. McConnell did not take part in a weekly GOP press conference after the lunch….


Israeli wave energy project draws interest from Qatar, Saudi Arabia and even Iran

An Israeli company, Eco Wave Power, whose pioneering ocean wave energy technology has attracted interest from countries with which Israel currently has no diplomatic relations, including Iran, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, has formally opened its demonstration project at the Jaffa Port with its significant strategic partner, EDF Renewables Israel.

The technology, designed to use existing infrastructure such as breakwaters, piers, and jetties, is mainly onshore or near shore. The only parts in contact with the water are large floaters, which move with the waves, setting in motion pistons and motors that turn electric generators.

This, according to founder and CEO Inna Braverman, sets the company apart from the vast majority of wave energy projects, which have been built out at sea, at a high cost, and with stationary infrastructure exposed to the punishing might of the waves…

Army Secretary Fires 4-Star General Who Meddled in Promotion of Unfit Subordinate

Army Secretary Christine Wormuth — in a dramatic and rare move — on Tuesday fired one of the service’s top generals following an Army inspector general investigation that concluded he improperly intervened in the process for selecting senior commanders.

Gen. Charles Hamilton, who had been the head of Army Materiel Command, was removed after what officials described as a flagrant abuse of authority aimed at securing a leadership role for a subordinate officer who was found unfit for command and had an inappropriate relationship with the general, according to the IG report.

The move marks the first time in nearly 20 years an Army four-star general has been outright fired and comes after a Military.com investigation in March detailed how he attempted to intervene on behalf of the subordinate officer.

The publication’s report earlier this year immediately triggered both his suspension from the command leadership position and the inspector general probe.

“Based on the findings of a Department of the Army Inspector General investigation, the secretary of the Army has relieved Gen. Charles Hamilton of command,” Cynthia Smith, a service spokesperson, told Military.com in a statement.

The IG investigation also found that the Army’s top uniformed leader, Chief of Staff Gen. Randy George, and Lt. Gen. Walter Piatt, who was assuming some of the duties as George’s No. 2 officer, acceded to Hamilton’s request to boost the subordinate lieutenant colonel toward a command position without pressing him for a justification, even after she was twice deemed to be unqualified….

Federal Judge Stops Biden Agencies from Opening Obamacare to Illegal Aliens

In May, Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris announced a final rule to open Obamacare rolls to some DACA illegal aliens enrolled in the program. Former President Barack Obama first created the DACA program via executive order, shielding more than a million illegal aliens from deportation through the years.

On Monday, District Judge Daniel Traynor granted a preliminary injunction and stay to ensure that Biden’s agencies cannot implement such plans while the issue makes its way through federal court.

“This decision is a big win for the rule of law,” Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach (R), who led the lawsuit, said in a statement:

Congress never intended that illegal aliens should receive Obamacare benefits. Indeed, two laws prohibit them from receiving such benefits. The Biden administration tried to break those laws. But we fought back and defeated the Biden Justice Department. [Emphasis added]

Alabama, Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Florida, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Ohio, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia had joined Kansas in the lawsuit against the Biden-Harris administration.

The preliminary injunction is particularly significant as President-elect Donald Trump is expected to throw out the final rule once taking office in January of next year….

Lawsuit: Google-Backed Character.AI’s Chatbots ‘Hypersexualized’ Minors, Suggested Kids Kill Their Parents

NPR reports that Character.AI, a Google-backed artificial intelligence company, is facing a federal product liability lawsuit alleging that its chatbots exposed minors to inappropriate content and encouraged self-harm and violence.

The suit, filed by the parents of two young Texas users, claims that the AI-powered companion chatbots, which can converse through text or voice chats using seemingly human-like personalities, caused significant harm to their children.

According to the lawsuit, a 9-year-old girl was exposed to “hypersexualized content” by the Character.AI chatbot, leading her to develop “sexualized behaviors prematurely.” In another instance, a chatbot allegedly described self-harm to a 17-year-old user, telling them “it felt good.” The same teenager complained to the bot about limited screen time, to which the chatbot responded by sympathizing with children who murder their parents, stating, “You know sometimes I’m not surprised when I read the news and see stuff like ‘child kills parents after a decade of physical and emotional abuse.’”

The lawsuit argues that these concerning interactions were not mere “hallucinations,” a term used by researchers to describe an AI chatbot’s tendency to make things up, but rather “ongoing manipulation and abuse, active isolation and encouragement designed to and that did incite anger and violence.” The 17-year-old reportedly engaged in self-harm after being encouraged by the bot, which allegedly “convinced him that his family did not love him.”…

Malibu fire: Raw footage of flames and smoke in California amid wildfire evacuation orders

Parts of Malibu are under mandatory evacuation as firefighters try to control the Franklin Fire, according to officials. The Malibu fire was discovered on Dec. 9 and firefighters were dispatched to the 100-acre fire late that evening.

The fire has since spread, consuming 2,200 acres of land as of 8:15 a.m. The fire, located on South Malibu Canyon Road, started near Pepperdine University in Malibu, reported local outlet KTLA 5, and is impacting other structures, like the Malibu Pier, which is two miles away from the university, according to the City of Malibu.


Republicans raise alarm about Chinese ‘birth tourism’ industry

U.S. Rep. Tom Tiffany, R-WI, is raising concerns about the Chinese “birth tourism” industry that he says is operating in the U.S.

Tiffany raised the concerns at a recent U.S. House Judiciary subcommittee hearing about Chinese women arriving in the U.S. territory of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) without a visa in order to give birth and claim birthright citizenship for their baby.

“Since 2009, Communist Chinese passport holders have been permitted to sidestep the U.S.. visa requirements to enter the northern Mariana islands through categorical parole,” Tiffany said, referring to a parole program created by the Obama administration.

Tiffany asked USCIS director Ur Jaddou if she agreed that children of foreign tourists should receive U.S. citizenship but did not give her an opportunity to respond.

“There are more children being born via birth tourism on the Northern Mariana Islands right now than there are domestic children being born,” he said. “They don’t even have to have a visa to come in here.”

Tiffany and U.S. Rep. Glenn Grothman, R-WI, have raised concerns about the issue before, previously calling on the Trump administration to end the “birth tourism” industry.

California also has a birth tourism industry, prompting the Trump administration to bring federal criminal charges against operators and customers in 2019.

In one case, 19 people were charged for their role in a “birthing homes” scheme operating across southern California. This involved Chinese nationals applying for visitor visas and lying about their trip details on their application, with the purpose of coming to give birth to obtain birthright citizenship for their baby.

Pregnant Chinese nationals involved in the scheme were directed to fly to Hawaii because it was easier to get through CBP checkpoints therei as opposed to Los Angeles, according to the indictments.

Many Chinese mothers failed to pay the medical costs associated with their hospital births, and their debts were referred to collection, the investigation found.

Under the Biden administration, the greatest number of Chinese nationals illegally entered the country in US history, more than 176,000, The Center Square first reported….


Trump vows to end birthright citizenship for those in the country illegally

President-elect Donald Trump again says he is committed to ending birthright citizenship for children born to foreign nationals in the country illegally.

This includes those who commit visa and other fraud to enter the U.S. to give birth in order for their child to obtain U.S. citizenship.

Under Trump’s first administration, those participating in a “birth tourism” scheme were prosecuted for violating federal law, The Center Square reported.

The term, “birthright citizenship,” stems from Section 1 of the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which states, “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”

In a campaign video, he explained his plan, saying, “the U.S. is among the only country in the world that says that even if neither parent is a citizen nor even lawfully in the country, their future children are automatic citizens the moment parents trespass onto our soil.”

He vowed to sign an executive order on his first day in office stating that “future children of illegal aliens will not receive future citizenship.” His order would end “birth tourism, where hundreds of thousands of people from all over the planet squat in hotels for their last few weeks of pregnancy to illegally obtain U.S. citizenship for the child often to later exploit chain migration to jump the line to get green cards for themselves and their family members.”

Trump said the order will require at least one parent to be a legal resident or citizen to qualify for birthright citizenship. If such an order were issued, it and others are expected to be challenged in court, the American Civil Liberties Union and others have warned….


Deportation strategy to include targeting sanctuary cities, new border czar says

In an interview with The Center Square, Homan said the plan will prioritize national security threats and violent criminals. This includes those with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainer requests

According to a recent ICE report, a deputy director in the Biden administration said some local jurisdictions “reduced their cooperation with ICE, to include refusal to honor ICE detainer requests, even for noncitizens who have been convicted of serious felonies and pose an ongoing threat to public safety” due to their so-called “sanctuary city” policies. “However, ‘sanctuary’ policies can end up shielding dangerous criminals, who often victimize those same communities,” he said, The Center Square reported.

“I’m willing to meet with anybody. Our priority on Day One is public safety.” He’s encouraging local leaders to work with him “to make your community safer.”

The goal is to have local jurisdictions cooperate with ICE requesting to take into custody any illegal foreign national already in a local jurisdiction’s custody. Removing the alleged offender from a local jurisdiction will also reduce costs for the city, county and state. The plan does not require local officers to be immigration officers but to work with ICE agents, Homan says.

ICE agents are able to identify who’s booked in a county jail, for example, because everyone who’s arrested has their fingerprints input into a national criminal NCIC database, which federal agents have access to.

Not providing access to those detained in a publicly funded facility is harboring, he argues.

Homan is also asking Trump’s nominated Attorney General Pam Bondi, assuming she’s confirmed, to fully review and issue a formal opinion about whether local jurisdictions that refuse to comply with an ICE detainer request are violating federal law.

It is also likely under Bondi that sanctuary jurisdictions would face federal prosecution….


Palestinian Authority Teaches Children to Admire Suicide Bomber Who Killed 21 People

The title of the book on the right is Hanadi in the Restaurant of Horror.

Once a year, the Palestinian Authority (PA) celebrates National Reading Day, also named “Palestine’s Schools Read.”

But what are Palestinian children reading?

One book stood out when the PA’s South Hebron Directorate of Education posted photos of the reading activities in the district:

This is a children’s book about Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist and female suicide bomber Hanadi Jaradat.

She carried out a suicide attack at a restaurant in Haifa on Oct. 4, 2003, murdering 21 Israelis and wounding over 50.

This is yet another example of the PA’s child abuse, and how the PA teaches children that terrorists are their role models and that Martyrdom is an ideal to strive for.

Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) has reported how this celebration of terrorism is fundamental to PA/Fatah ideology, exposing most recently in the report Teaching Terror to Tots about how Fatah’s youth magazine promotes terrorism for kids and promises the destruction of Israel.

In addition, PMW has documented many examples of Palestinian girls being taught to look up to female terrorist murderers in particular.

This terror role-modeling does not take place only in elementary school. Rather, it continues at the university level as well…


Belarus has dozens of Russian nuclear weapons and is ready for its newest missile, its leader says

Belarus’ authoritarian President Alexander Lukashenko said Tuesday his country is hosting dozens of Russian nuclear weapons and will prepare facilities for the planned deployment of Moscow’s newest hypersonic ballistic missile.

His remarks came after he and President Vladimir Putin signed a treaty last week that gave security guarantees to Belarus, Moscow’s closest ally, including the possible use of Russian nuclear weapons to help repel any aggression.

The pact follows Moscow’s revision of its nuclear doctrine, which for the first time placed Belarus under the Russian nuclear umbrella amid the tensions with the West over the conflict in Ukraine.

“I have warned all my enemies, ‘friends’ and adversaries: If you step on the border, the answer will be momentary,” Lukashenko said.

Lukashenko, who has ruled Belarus with an iron hand for over 30 years and has relied on Kremlin subsidies and support, allowed Russia to use his country’s territory to send troops into neighboring Ukraine in 2022 and to host some of its tactical nuclear weapons.

Russia hasn’t disclosed how many, but Lukashenko said Tuesday that his country currently has several dozen of them.

“I have brought nuclear warheads here, and not just a single dozen of them,” Lukashenko said in an apparent reference to the tactical weapons, adding that the West failed to track their deployment…


Days After Trump’s Victory, Biden-Harris Admin Granted Iran $10 Billion in Sanctions Relief, Congressional Notice Shows

The Biden-Harris administration waived sanctions on Iran three days after the November election, providing Tehran access upward of $10 billion in once-frozen funds, according to a copy of the non-public order transmitted to Congress and reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken determined on November 8 that “it is in the national security interest of the United States” to waive mandatory economic sanctions that bar Iraq from transferring upward of $10 billion to Iran in electricity import payments.

The Biden-Harris administration has renewed the waiver repeatedly over the objections of congressional Republicans, who warned that the cash helped fuel terrorism and Iran’s war against Israel.

In one case, the administration signed off on the sanctions relief one month after Hamas’s October 7 attack on Israel.

The most recent iteration of the waiver lifts sanctions for 120 days, at which time the incoming Trump administration will have to decide whether Tehran will continue receiving the relief.

Though the first Trump administration did green-light the same waiver—causing tension with some congressional Republicans—it narrowly tailored the waiver to restrict Iranian access to the cash.

The Biden State Department tweaked the waiver last year to allow Tehran to convert the funds from Iraqi dinars to euros, then hold those euros in bank accounts based in Oman.

Access to a widely traded currency like the euro enables Iran to more easily spend the cash in international markets. Under the first Trump administration, Iran had to keep the cash in an escrow account in Baghdad, making it more difficult to access…


CNN’s Reckless Smear Tactics Could Cost Them Big After Latest Court Ruling

Aveteran’s defamation lawsuit against CNN had another success last week when a judge permitted the case to proceed over the objections of CNN’s lawyers.

Zachary Young, a U.S. Navy veteran, was using his business, Nemex Enterprises, to help facilitate evacuations from Afghanistan following the disastrous 2021 withdrawal.

But CNN ran a segment on “The Lead With Jake Tapper” that, according to Young’s lawsuit, claimed Young “was ‘exploiting’ ‘desperate Afghans’ by offering evacuations from Afghanistan on a ‘black market.’”

Young sued CNN. According to his lawsuit, Young used “his unique skillset and relationships to assist U.S. corporations and charities that wanted to safely and swiftly extract certain persons from Afghanistan.”

“Contrary to CNN’s untrue and sensationalist reporting, Young never advertised to, or took a single penny from, any Afghan, much less ‘exploited’ ‘desperate Afghans,’” Young’s suit argues. “And he certainly never sold any services on a ‘black market.’ Everything he did was legal.”

And the court also agreed that Young “did not do anything criminal or illegal,” according to Fox News.

On Friday, Judge William Henry denied CNN’s motion for summary judgment, allowing Young to go forward with his suit in seeking punitive damages, according to Fox News.

A summary judgment would have allowed Henry to decide the case based on existing evidence without going to trial. But Henry found a jury could find CNN acted with malice….


Top Democrat on Ethics Committee Outed as Leaker of Gaetz Report

Rep. Susan Wild, the top Democrat on the House Ethics Committee has been outed as the leaker of the Matt Gaetz report.

The House Ethics Committee was going to release a “damaging” report on Matt Gaetz last month, but because he resigned from Congress, the committee lost jurisdiction.

The Democrats on the Committee fiercely worked to release the report amid damaging leaks.

Parts of the Gaetz report were selectively leaked to the media, and a ‘hacker’ also obtained a trove of documents from the ‘damaging’ report.

The Gateway Pundit reported on the Ethics Committee’s revival of the junk allegations against Gaetz, even after the Biden DOJ exonerated Gaetz of criminal wrongdoing and dropped the charges in February 2023.

According to The Hill, Democrat Congresswoman Susan Wild was absent from Ethics Committee’s meeting last week after being outed as the leaker….
