Secret Service’s Incompetence Is Exactly Why We Need Trump To Dismantle The Deep State

The failed assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump, one of the worst security fiascoes in American history, reflects a core truth that fuels the MAGA movement and makes the case for reelecting its leader to the Oval Office: Our leading institutions are so corrupted and incompetent that the purported experts who run them cannot or will not execute their most basic functions.

When it comes to the Secret Service, its singular duty is to protect the life and limb of the subjects to whom it is detailed. On July 13 in Butler, Pennsylvania, it failed that mission in a spectacular fashion.

Unfathomably, the critical organ of the most powerful and sophisticated security apparatus in the history of mankind allowed a would-be assassin, whom we are told had little tactical capability and was operating alone, to assume an unobstructed and otherwise insecure position a stone’s throw from the former president and fire at him, piercing his ear with a bullet.

Well in advance of the tragic incident, the shooter’s parents called law enforcement fearful he was missing.

One wonders why they were distressed over the grown man’s whereabouts. Around three hours before the shooting, reports suggest that authorities identified that the shooter possessed a rangefinder. An hour before the shooting, the Secret Service began tracking the shooter as a “person of interest.”

After authorities eliminated the shooter, Trump stood once again exposed as a target on stage by agents too short to cover him.

His defiant fist-raising and calls to “Fight,” blood dripping down his face, made for an iconic image that will live forever in American lore. But what if there had been one or more additional shooters? Finally, security rushed the former president to an exit vehicle, where an agent flanking him struggled to holster her gun.

Whether the security apparatus failed to properly plan, resource, communicate, or act, this was an unmitigated disaster that could have plunged the country into chaos. The best explanation is a terrible one: that notwithstanding the courageous and professional actions of some agents on the ground, the Secret Service is grossly incompetent.

Meanwhile, the Secret Service has been politicized to the likely detriment of its mission through implementing DEI policies prioritizing hiring female agents over the most qualified ones irrespective of sex.

The questions Americans must ask are whether logically so many different failures could have culminated in the near assassination of Donald Trump and what weight we might give to circumstantial evidence suggesting something more sinister transpired……

Anti-Israel UN Special Rapporteur Calls for UN to Expel Jewish State

The United Nations’ notoriously controversial special rapporteur on the human rights situation in the Palestinian territories has called for the UN to expel Israel as a member state of the world body, once again raising questions of her impartiality.

“Time to #UNseatIsrael from the UN,” Francesca Albanese wrote on X/Twitter on Thursday.

Albanese was responding to a tweet from Balakrishnan Rajagopal, the UN special rapporteur “on the right to adequate housing,” who wrote it was “high time to take action against Israel including through unseating from the UN, as was done with apartheid South Africa.”

The outrage came after Israeli forces struck a UN facility in Gaza which, according to the military, was being used by Hamas terrorists as a command center. Hamas, the Palestinian terrorist group that rules Gaza, notoriously embeds its fighters within Gaza’s civilian population and commandeers civilian facilities like hospitals, schools, and mosques to run operations and direct attacks.

The UN facility hit in Gaza belonged to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), the UN organization dedicated solely to Palestinian refugees and their descendants. UNRWA has been accused of aiding Hamas, and Israel has said employees of the agency participated in the terrorist group’s Oct. 7 onslaught across southern Israel. UN officials deny the allegations, arguing their mission in Gaza is critical to ensuring humanitarian aid gets to the civilian population.

“Our troops found UAVs, war rooms used for surveillance operations, and large quantities of weapons, including tactical drones, rockets, machine guns, mortars, explosives, and grenades in a compound near UNRWA’s HQ in Gaza City, following intelligence that Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists and infrastructure were embedded inside,” the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement regarding its operation targeting the facility. The IDF also said there were tunnel routes near the compound…

Stellantis warns owners of plug-in hybrid vans to not park inside due to battery fire risk

Automaker Stellantis is warning owners of its plug-in hybrid minivans not to park the vehicles inside or close to buildings due to the possibility of the battery catching fire.

The company announced Thursday that it is recalling some 2017 through 2021 Chrysler Pacifica plug-in hybrids, primarily in North America due to a fire hazard resulting from a rare abnormality in individual fuel cells.

Seven fires within the group of vans being recalled have been reported, all of which happened while the vehicles weren’t running or while they were charging, Stellantis said.

The company’s engineers are continuing to investigate and testing a remedy involving a software update capable of detecting the abnormality. …

Largest housing provider for unaccompanied migrant minors subjected kids to sexual abuse, DOJ lawsuit claims

“Multiple employees” of the largest housing provider for unaccompanied minors illegally crossing the U.S. southern border allegedly committed various forms of sexual abuse on children in their care, all while the nonprofit’s leadership turned a blind eye, a new lawsuit from the Department of Justice claims.

On Thursday, the DOJ announced that it had filed a lawsuit against Southwest Key Programs Inc., claiming that by either facilitating or ignoring the abuse, the nonprofit had violated the Fair Housing Act.

Since at least 2015, some of the nonprofit’s employees have allegedly engaged in heinous acts of sexual abuse, including “sexual contact and inappropriate touching, solicitation of sex acts, solicitation of nude photos, entreaties for inappropriate relationships and sexual comments,” the DOJ press release claimed.

Thus far, at least two such employees have been criminally charged. A male working at the Casa Franklin shelter in El Paso, Texas, allegedly touched the “private area” of three girls between ages 5 and 11. Another employee from a Southwest Key facility in Tucson, Arizona, allegedly brought an 11-year-old boy to a hotel and paid him to perform sex acts for several days…..

Intruder barges into class, tries to grab student, CA cops say. Then teacher steps in

Provided by KRON San Francisco

The school was in session for summer school, according to Sequoia Union High School District’s website. The man grabbed a student and tried to pull him from the classroom, police said.

However, a teacher “physically intervened,” and the man fled, according to police.

As he left, the man, later identified as Trey Duus, 24, warned staff “not to touch him,” saying he had a gun, police said. The school was put on lockdown as officers searched for Duus, police said. Officers spotted Duus as he left the school while holding an object that was later determined to be an umbrella, police said.

Duus was detained using “less-lethal force options” after he resisted officers, police said….

“I’ve Never Seen Him Like This”: Glenn Beck’s Biggest Takeaways From Trump’s RNC Speech

When former President Donald Trump took the stage at the RNC, it was obvious that something had changed. “I’ve never seen him like this,” Glenn says. “He was humbled.” Surviving an assassination attempt sure seemed to change him, and made him realize that only God’s will matters. But it wasn’t just Trump.

Glenn says he also has never seen a Republican National Convention like this. Glenn and Stu review why they have hope for the future of America after this event. But of course, the Left immediately returned to the narrative that Trump will be a fascist dictator.

So, Glenn and Stu review the facts, along with the Left’s latest conspiracy theory: that Trump staged his own assassination.

Biden’s student loan repayment plan dealt another blow by federal court

Joe Biden’s attempts to fulfill a major campaign promise to relieve student loan debt took another hit this week when a federal appeals court blocked the Saving on a Valuable Education program, better known as SAVE.

On a one-page, unsigned order issued on Thursday, the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals granted the request of six Republican-led states, including Missouri, to suspend implementation of aspects of the SAVE program while the court considers a more permanent block favored by Republicans.

district judge had already blocked implementation of the other parts of the SAVE program in a ruling last month.

Andrew Bailey, the Republican attorney general of Missouri who filed the emergency motion on behalf of the plaintiffs, celebrated the order as a “HUGE win” for everyday Americans. Bailey called SAVE “illegal” and claimed it was a backdoor means of saddling taxpayers — many of whom never went to college — “with half-a-trillion dollars in Ivy League debt.”….

Franklin Graham reveals how God ‘spared’ Trump’s life — then he uses RNC stage to quote scripture, share Christian gospel

Franklin Graham used his speech at the Republican National Convention to share the gospel.

Speaking on the final night of the convention on Thursday, Graham reflected on the attempted assassination of Donald Trump and shared his belief that Trump survived because of divine intervention.

“It can cause us to examine our lives and re-evaluate our priorities, as it should,” he continued. “When President Trump rose from that platform, he rose with his fist raised in strength, showing America his unshakeable resolve to fight for them and this nation.”

Then Graham used his stage time to share the core message of Christianity, quoting John 3:16.

“I cannot explain why God would save one life and allow another one to be taken. I don’t have the answer for that,” Graham said.

“But one thing I do know is that God loves us, and he wants us to be with him in heaven one day. And that’s through faith in his son, Jesus Christ,” he continued. “You see, the Bible says that, ‘God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him shouldn’t perish but should have everlasting life.'”

Afterward, Graham prayed. He asked God to give Trump wisdom. He petitioned for Sen. JD Vance and his family. And most importantly, he asked God to “unite our hearts, bring us together, one nation under God, indivisible with liberty, and justice for all.”…

Trump shooting victim Corey Comperatore’s funeral draws hundreds, security on high alert

Members of the community mourn the death of Corey Comperatore on the morning of his funeral at Cabot United Methodist Church in Cabot, Pennsylvania on Friday, July 19, 2024. Comperatore, a former fire chief and father of two, was killed on Saturday after being shot by the would-be Trump assassin in Butler, Pennsylvania. (Derek Shook for Fox News Digital )

Hundreds of people lined a rural area of Pennsylvania waving American flags to honor local hero Corey Comperatore on Friday.

The former Buffalo Township fire chief shielded his family from gunfire when a shooter opened fire during a Saturday rally for former President Donald Trump in Butler.

“Get down,” were reportedly his last words. Comperatore, 50, lost his life that day. He leaves behind his wife, Helen, and two daughters.

His daughter called her dad a “true hero,” and the massive crowds who showed up to pay their respects gave him a lionheart’s farewell.

Comperatore’s fire helmet and jacket shared the stage with Trump as he spoke during the Republican National Convention (RNC) in Milwaukee on Thursday.

“He lost his life selflessly acting as a human shield to protect them from flying bullets… what a fine man he was,” Trump said during his RNC speech. “There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for others.

“This is the spirit that forged America in her darkest hours, and this is the love that will lead America back to the summit of human achievement and greatness.”

Majority of Trump security detail were not Secret Service, whistleblowers tell Sen. Hawley

Whistleblowers inside the Department of Homeland Security have alleged that the majority of the security detail for former President Donald Trump were “not even Secret Service,” according to a Republican lawmaker.

Sen. Josh Hawley of Missouri relayed these claims in a public letter to Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas on Friday outlining a series of security failures at Trump’s fateful Butler, Pennsylvania, rally.

“Whistleblowers who have direct knowledge of the event have approached my office. According to the allegations, the July 13 rally was considered to be a ‘loose’ security event,” Hawley wrote in the letter. “For example, detection canines were not used to monitor entry and detect threats in the usual manner. Individuals without proper designations were able to gain access to backstage areas.”

Other lapses in security protocol allegedly included a lack of personnel stationed around the security perimeter and an inadequetly enforced buffer zone around the podium.

Among the most troubling is the claim that the majority of personnel protecting the former president were not U.S. Secret Service (USSS) agents.

“Whistleblower allegations suggest the majority of DHS officials were not in fact USSS agents but instead drawn from the department’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI),” Hawley wrote. “This is especially concerning given that HSI agents were unfamiliar with standard protocols typically used at these types of events, according to the allegations.”….

‘Bad*ss:’ Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg Praises ‘Inspiring’ Donald Trump for His Resilience

AP Photo/Gene J. Puskar

Bloomberg reports that in a recent interview, Meta (formerly Facebook) CEO Mark Zuckerberg shared his thoughts on former President Donald Trump’s response to being shot, describing it as “badass” and “inspiring.”

Zuckerberg’s comments, made during a discussion for “The Circuit with Emily Chang,” have drawn attention to the complex relationship between Silicon Valley leaders and political figures.

Zuckerberg specifically referred to Trump’s actions after being shot, stating, “Seeing Donald Trump get up after getting shot in the face and pump his fist in the air with the American flag is one of the most badass things I’ve ever seen in my life.” He further elaborated on the emotional impact of such resilience, saying, “On some level as an American, it’s like hard to not get kind of emotional about that spirit and that fight, and I think that that’s why a lot of people like the guy.”

Despite these comments, Zuckerberg was quick to clarify that he is not endorsing Trump or his presumed opponent, President Joe Biden. He stated that he is “not planning” to be involved in the election in any way.

That seems quite a stretch after the billionaire’s notorious “Zuckerbucks” campaign. However, Zuckerberg’s remarks come at a time when several prominent figures in Silicon Valley, including Tesla CEO Elon Musk and venture capitalists Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz, have shown increasing support for the former president….

Zelensky Pushes UK for Permission to Strike Russia with Long-Range British Missiles

Richard Pohle/Pool Photo via AP

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged Britain’s new government to help Ukrainian forces attack deeper inside Russia to stop deadly missile strikes on his country, as he gave a rare address by a foreign leader to a U.K. Cabinet meeting.

Zelenskyy said “long-range capability” to destroy sites where Russian weapons are concentrated is key to Ukraine’s defense.

“I ask you to show your leadership” in lifting restrictions on Ukraine’s use of Western weapons, Zelenskyy told Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

Some of Kyiv’s allies are reluctant to let Ukraine use their weapons to strike Russian territory because of concerns that the West could be drawn into direct conflict with Russia. The British government has said it’s up to Ukraine how to use missiles supplied by the U.K., as long as international law is upheld.

In an interview with the BBC, Zelenskyy said he was seeking clarification about Ukraine’s ability to use Storm Shadow missiles supplied by Britain against targets in Russia. The Storm Shadow is an air-launched cruise missile with a range of more than 250 kilometers (155 miles)….

England Burning: Violent Riots Break Out in Multicultural Area of Leeds

Horrific images poured out from the heavily Pakistani Harehills area in east Leeds, with a double-decker bus being burnt to a crisp, a police car overturned, and widespread chaos.

The incident reportedly broke out after four children were removed from their families by social services, which apparently enraged the local population, The Telegraph reports.

Responding to the violent scenes, Reform UK leader Nigel Farage wrote on X: “The politics of the subcontinent are currently playing out on the streets of Leeds. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

This comment sparked outrage from a local left-wing Labour Party MP Alex Sobel, who said: “This is a situation you know nothing about and no one has briefed you on.

“You are inflaming a situation with misinformation. Politicians have a responsibility to not exacerbate situations, particularly with no knowledge of them. I expect you to issue an apology.”

To which, Mr Farage retorted: “When will you and the Labour Party apologise for irresponsible mass migration?”

The Brexit leader’s comments were echoed by fellow Reform MP Lee Anderson, who said: “Import a third world culture, then you get third world behaviour.”

“These animals need locking up for good. They are a product of our spineless namby-pamby establishment who have betrayed our great country.”…

Israel Confirms: Houthi Drone Hits Tel Aviv After Evading Defenses; Escalation Possible

As Breitbart News reported, an explosion was heard in the early hours of Friday morning in Tel Aviv near the former U.S. embassy on the beachfront in Tel Aviv (now used as a branch office of the main U.S. embassy in Jerusalem). It is unclear whether the embassy was the target of the attack. The only casualties were civilian; there were no alerts.

Hagari said that Israel will not change any of its home front defenses. Nevertheless, the attack represents a significant escalation.

The Times of Israel reported that the drone was, in fact, picked up by radar, but that “human error” resulted in air raid sirens and countermeasures not being activated. The Israeli Air Force [IAF] took responsibility for the error.

The Houthis, a rebel militia armed and directed by Iran, had largely targeted southern Israel over the past nine months; a successful strike on Tel Aviv represents a major improvement in their capabilities. The fact that none of Israel’s air defenses picked up the drone is causing concern in Israel and could trigger a direct Israeli response.

Yemen is thousands of miles away from Israel but not out of range of Israeli attack capabilities, which Israel has not used thus far, despite being attacked dozens of times. The U.S. has adopted a largely defensive posture in the Red Sea, attempting to shoot down Houthi missiles but not taking significant action against the Houthis on land in Yemen.

President Joe Biden removed the Houthis from a list of terrorist groups on taking office, but recently re-listed them….
