Justice is coming for Biden’s ‘autopen’ pardons — and Trump’s DOJ just put everyone on notice

Ed Martin, the incoming Department of Justice pardon attorney and director of the DOJ’s Weaponization Working Group, announced Tuesday that he will review the rash of questionable “autopen” pardons issued in the final days of the Biden White House, noting that they “need some scrutiny.”
“They need scrutiny because we want pardons to matter, and to be accepted, and to be something that’s used correctly. So I do think we’re going to take a hard look at how they went and what they did,” Martin told reporters.
The Justice Department’s probe could spell trouble for controversial Biden pardonees such as Anthony Fauci, retired Gen. Mark Milley, members of the Biden clan, and former members of the House Jan. 6 select committee — including Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, Sen. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), and Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.), whom President Donald Trump and other Republicans have faulted for various alleged crimes and improprieties.
For instance, Trump has suggested that Milley may have committed “treason.” While previously serving as Trump’s most senior uniformed adviser, Milley called his communist Chinese counterpart, communist Gen. Li Zuocheng, on two occasions — four days before the 2020 election and on Jan. 8, 2021 — to reassure Zuocheng that he would provide him with actionable warnings should Trump decide to attack. Milley received a pardon just hours before former President Joe Biden left office.
Fauci, the fifth director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, received a “full and unconditional” pass for possible federal crimes going back to Jan. 1, 2014 — around the time the Obama administration supposedly halted funding for dangerous gain-of-function research.
In February, over 16 state attorneys general launched an investigation into Fauci’s role in the COVID-19 pandemic response, “demanding accountability for alleged mismanagement, misleading statements, and suppression of scientific debate.” Without his autopen pardon, Fauci would be legally exposed at both the state and federal levels.
“The American people were promised accountability, and I think Ed Martin is our best shot at it,” Mike Howell, president of the Oversight Project, told Blaze News. “These pardons are fake and invalid, and the president has already said that is his view.”
“When these people, like the January 6 Committee and particularly Adam Schiff, are charged and try defending their bogus pardon, then we will start to learn who was really running the White House,” continued Howell. “We need to answer the question everyone is asking: Who was running the government the last four years?”..
NYC woman, 32, lucky to be alive after stranger tries to shoot her from behind, missing her by ‘a centimeter’

A 32-year-old Bronx woman is lucky to be alive after a stranger randomly fired a single round at the back of her head in broad daylight — miraculously missing her by “a centimeter” as she turned her head away, cops said.
The victim was walking home around 9 a.m. Friday when the unidentified hooded gunman approached her from behind on a University Heights street and brazenly pointed the weapon without saying a word, authorities said.
The maniac then pulled the trigger – with a single slug just missing the victim as she moved her head out of its path, police said.
The woman was not shot, but suffered injuries when she fell to the ground and hit her head, cops said.
Authorities said the victim did not know the shooter.
Cops on Wednesday released a photo of the maniac wearing all black, with the hood of his jacket pulled up over his head as he walked on the sidewalk.
He has a dark complexion, stands about 6 feet tall and appears to weigh about 200 pounds, police said.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).

EXCLUSIVE: House GOP’s Medicaid Reform Would Force Millions Of Able-Bodied Americans To Get Back To Work

House Republicans’ proposal to impose work requirements on Medicaid would force millions of Americans to meet new eligibility conditions or lose coverage, the Daily Caller News Foundation has learned.
At least 3.5 million individuals will be removed from Medicaid rolls due to House Republicans’ proposal to require most able-bodied Americans to work, volunteer or be in school for at least 20 hours a week to qualify for the entitlement program, according to a source familiar with an estimate from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office that could be released as early as Friday.
GOP lawmakers have justified the imposition of work requirements among other reforms to Medicaid by arguing that the entitlement program should prioritize Americans who need coverage the most, not able-bodied adults or illegal migrants.
“We are protecting Medicaid for the people who need and deserve it,” Speaker Mike Johnson said Tuesday at the House GOP leadership press conference. “This program is an essential lifeline for our most vulnerable Americans: pregnant women, single mothers, low-income seniors, the disabled. That’s who Medicaid is intended to be for and that’s who we’re protecting while we’re eliminating fraud, waste and abuse.”
“These are reforms to ensure to restore and preserve the system so that it doesn’t collapse on itself,” Johnson continued. “That means ensuring illegal aliens don’t get coverage meant for Americans in need. It means implementing work requirements to ensure that adults who can work but refuse to cannot keep cheating the system”
House Republicans are proposing to expand Medicaid work requirements by mandating that able-bodied, childless adults aged 19 to 64 years-old prove they are working, seeking employment, volunteering or in school for at least 80 hours a month. GOP lawmakers’ proposal to tighten eligibility standards would save roughly $300 billion over seven years, according to a partial CBO estimate released by House Republicans.
The floated work requirements are not expected to kick in until 2029. Conservative lawmakers have criticized the implementation for being far too late.
Four Trump administration officials called on Congressional Republicans to impose new work requirements on Medicaid and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), in a New York Times essay Wednesday…
Mexican influencer gunned down while livestreaming from her salon

23-year-old TikTok influencer Valeria Marquez was broadcasting to her followers from Blossom the Beauty Lounge when a gunman on a motorbike opened fire on the Jalisco establishment.
Footage from the livestream showed Márquez looking out a window before bullets struck her in the chest and head. She was seen grabbing her side where the bullet hit, then she collapsed. An unidentified woman was later seen turning off the camera.
According to the Daily Mail, initial reports indicated the gunman entered the salon before firing and fleeing on a motorbike. Paramedics arrived on scene, but Márquez was pronounced dead immediately. Authorities say a manhunt is underway, and the investigation remains active as the suspect has not been identified.
Márquez had over 110,000 followers on TikTok, where she posted beauty and lifestyle videos. Authorities noted that she had “an active presence and influence on social media.”
A statement from the Jalisco prosecutor’s office said, “According to the initial investigation, she was in her establishment when a man entered and apparently shot her several times with a firearm, killing her.”
Her killing comes amid a wave of political and social violence in Mexico. Just days earlier, a mayoral candidate was gunned down during a Facebook livestream of her campaign rally alongside three supporters, including her own daughter…
Yeah, About South Africa Not Being a Genocidal Hellhole for White People…
Whether a white genocide is happening hasn’t been officially declared, but white farmer killings have been happening for years. Second, there’s a lot of ‘chop up the whites’ talk, which is also not new. Last, how did the South African government respond to this refugee issue? Bonchie at RedState noticed it [emphasis indicates South Africa government text]: …
But while the left was busy taking the bait and going out on a limb by claiming that granting refugee status wasn’t justified, South Africa’s government came right out and said the quiet part out loud.
Here’s the key line.
What the instigators of this falsehood seek is not safety, but impunity from transformation. They flee not from persecution, but from justice, equality, and accountability for historic privilege.
Reading that sent a chill down my spine. These are people whose ancestors have been in South Africa for nearly half a millennium. They are as much South Africans as black Americans are Americans, which is to say, fully. To claim they are fleeing “transformation” while citing “justice” and “accountability for historic privilege” is terrifyingly Orwellian. Everyone knows exactly what that means, which is the continued ethnic cleansing that has been endorsed by South Africa’s ruling party.
Yeah, that’s a very diplomatic way of saying ‘these people got away from our machetes.’
Also, if I saw this on the regular, I’d get the hell out too:..
Dan Goldman Wrecked by Kristi Noem Over Abrego Garcia, Loses It Even More With MTG
Things got heated at a House Homeland Security hearing on Wednesday.
The hearing was supposed to be about the budget. However, Democrats targeted Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem with questions about Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the illegal alien deported to El Salvador. Noem made them look silly, calling out their embrace of the man the media termed a “Maryland Father.”
“It’s gotta be extremely discouraging to be one of your constituents,” Noem said. “To see you fight for a terrorist like this and not fight for them is extremely alarming to me.”
That truly is a mic drop — and it flipped Goldman out. He insisted he was fighting for “due process.”
But then came Georgia GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s time. She tried to enter information from Attorney General Pam Bondi listing the evidence exposing that Abrego Garcia was an MS-13 member.
That’s when Goldman lost it.
Gee, I wonder why he kept interrupting MTG and didn’t want this information to be entered into the record? Chairman Mark Green (R-TN) had to keep stopping him, telling him that she had the floor.
Marjorie Taylor Greene said a Maryland gang unit, a reliable confidential informant, ICE officers, an immigration judge, and an appellate board all agreed that he was MS-13.
Goldman objected to it, claiming there was no final court order declaring him to be MS-13. “Maybe he is,” Goodman said, but he didn’t want it entered. But whether he objected or not, she got the information out there. The narrative just failed, and it’s hilarious that he can’t handle it.
Green clarified the motion to enter the information into the record, and then even he had to shut down Goldman. “Do not interrupt me again!” he said curtly, chastising Goldman. That finally seemed to shut Goldman up. Good job, Mark Green. …
Energy officials find unauthorized communication devices in Chinese solar power inverters

U.S. energy officials have found “unexplained” communications equipment inside some Chinese-made inverter devices, according to a report by Reuters published Wednesday.
The document reveals the presence of unauthorized and fraudulent communication devices in several Chinese-made solar power inverters. These could introduce unregulated and undocumented remote communication channels into the inverters, through which an attacker could remotely bypass cybersecurity firewalls used by utilities.
Similar devices were also found in batteries manufactured in China, the release said.
Inverters are highly digitized products, often referred to as the “heart” or “brain” of a photovoltaic system. In theory, whoever could control the inverter could remotely interrupt or disconnect the solar power supply, resulting in power outages, blackouts or damage to energy infrastructure.
People connected with the matter who spoke to Reuters did not disclose the manufacturers or the number of products in which the unauthorized devices were found.
In the past nine months, undocumented communication devices, including cellular radios, have also been found in some batteries from several Chinese suppliers, one said.
In the wake of the revelation, U.S. energy officials are reassessing the risk posed by Chinese-made devices that play a critical role in the country’s renewable energy infrastructure.
Power inverters, produced primarily in China, are used around the world to connect solar panels and wind turbines to the power grid. They are also found in batteries, heat pumps and electric vehicle chargers.
The U.S. government has not publicly acknowledged the findings….
Tulsi on Fauci’s Role In Funding Covid Pandemic: ‘Is It Any Wonder He Sought a Preemptive Pardon?’
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard told Megyn Kelly that one reason Dr. Anthony Fauci sought a preemptive pardon before Joe Biden left the White House is because he lied under oath about helping fund the Covid-19 pandemic.
Gabbard recounted the numerous times that Fauci denied providing funding for gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) while being questioned under oath by Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY).
“So is it any wonder that he sought a preemptive pardon for anything during a certain period of time by President Biden before he left office,” Gabbard asked.
In the five years since the pandemic first began, the official story that the SARS-CoV-2 virus originated in a Wuhan wet market has been gradually walked back by members of the media, the intelligence community and the government.
The most likely origin of the virus, according to Kelly, is from a lab leak at the WIV where research was being performed on bat coronaviruses.
Earlier this month, the State Council Information Office of the People’s Republic of China released a white paper claiming that the U.S. was trying to “shift the blame” for the virus to China, even as Chinese officials accused the U.S. of potentially being the origin point of the virus.
Gabbard said she has not yet read the white paper but maintains that the postmortem on the Covid-19 pandemic is far from over.
Gabbard explained, “I created… the Directors Initiative Group that is focused on investigating a number of the president’s top priorities and the things that the American people really deserve and want to know the truth about. The origins of COVID-19 is one of them… [and] a lot of the work that has been done is on covid.gov.”..
EU may increase subsidies and cut regulations for farmers following protests

The European Commission proposed a plan to ease environmental regulations linked to the European Union’s major farming subsidy program. The proposal, introduced on Wednesday, May 14, would weaken regulations and reduce paperwork for farmers.
The move comes after farmers across Europe staged large-scale protests using large farm equipment to block roads in France, the Czech Republic, Brussels, Germany and other EU nations.
Protesting with blockades, particularly in France, has a history that dates back decades. In the 1950s, for example, French farmers struggling to keep up with industrialization costs staged mass protests, establishing the farm equipment blockade “as a form of revolt,” according to Time magazine.
In January, farmers demanding lower fuel prices, higher wages and fewer regulations brought large farm vehicles to block the streets of Paris as protesters said new government requirements threatened their livelihoods. European leaders argued that the policies were necessary to fight climate change.
One of the main sticking points for farmers was reportedly a requirement under the EU’s Nature Restoration Law for 4% of farmland to remain vacant to preserve and restore natural habitats harmed by agriculture. Farmers contended the rule hurt their production ability, thus cutting into their already diminishing income.
The European Commission’s proposal would implement several measures to help farmers, including increasing lump sum payments to more than $2,800 for independent farmers who agree to implement environmentally friendly agricultural practices. The payments would be double what farmers are currently receiving. The commission also said it is looking to streamline administrative rules that will save farmers roughly $1.8 billion a year, according to Bloomberg.…
NATO weighs increasing defense spending to 5% under US pressure

NATO members are working on a proposal to raise defense spending to 5% of gross domestic product by 2032. Though still under negotiation, the effort would mark the largest military investment by the alliance since the Cold War. None of NATO’s 32 members, including the United States, currently meet that threshold.
During the week of May 4, Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof told reporters that the plan includes a 3.5% baseline for core defense budgets and an additional 1.5% for related areas like infrastructure, cybersecurity and military mobility.
NATO foreign ministers will likely discuss the framework during the week of May 11 in Antalya, Turkey, with a formal proposal likely at the June summit in The Hague.
When asked about the numbers, NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte did not confirm what the new numbers might be, saying, “I’m not going to confirm the figures. There are many rumors floating around,” according to a report by The Associated Press.
NATO’s long-standing benchmark has been 2% of GDP. According to the alliance’s annual report, 22 NATO members had hit the 2% spending target by 2024, up from just three in 2014. Poland (4.07%), Estonia (3.41%) and the U.S. (3.19%) remain among the top contributors. The report states that European allies and Canada have added more than $700 billion in defense spending over the past decade.
President Donald Trump has repeatedly criticized allies for underfunding their militaries and warned that failing to meet targets could weaken America’s commitment to the alliance. The Trump administration has publicly pushed NATO allies to raise spending to 5%, with U.S. NATO Ambassador Matthew Whitaker calling it a “necessity for our security.”…
McDonald’s in Virginia bans customers under 21

A new policy at a McDonald’s in Fairfax County, Virginia, states that only customers over 21 are allowed inside the restaurant.
Customers must ring the doorbell and show their ID to be let in.
According to a local news outlet, fights among teens from a nearby high school have been reported at the restaurant. Management and customers at the location said the teens were smoking, standing on tables and cursing.
A McDonald’s location in Brooklyn has implemented a similar rule, only allowing customers over 20 inside.
A sign on the restaurant’s front door reads: “Due to repeated incidents of student violence, the location is temporarily closed for dine-in service to anyone under 21 years of age. This decision was made to protect our staff, our guests, and our community.”
In a statement to NewsNation affiliate WFLA, McDonald’s said, “We love being part of the Edison community and we value each and every customer. We’ve enhanced our Franconia Road McDonald’s security measures in an effort to promote a safe environment for our customers and staff. This policy was developed in partnership with local school officials with oversight from local law enforcement. This serves as a temporary fix as we work towards a long-term solution for all. We thank our community for its support, understanding and patience.”…

US Reveals Nuclear Submarine in China’s Backyard

The United States has deployed a nuclear-powered submarine, armed with over 100 long-range missiles, to the Western Pacific Ocean amid China’s rapid naval fleet expansion.
The deployment of USS Ohio, a guided-missile submarine, reflected America’s commitment to the Indo-Pacific region, the U.S. Submarine Group Seven, which commands submarines deployed in the Western Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean, and Arabian Sea, told Newsweek.
Photos released by the U.S. Submarine Group Seven on Tuesday show the Ohio arrived at Naval Base Guam on April 23. The island of Guam is home to several U.S. military bases, serving as a major staging area to project America’s power against China, which is 1,800 miles away.
Under a U.S. containment strategy, Guam is part of the Second Island Chain, which aims to restrict China’s naval access to the Pacific Ocean by leveraging U.S.-aligned territories.
The Ohio and its sister ships provide “unprecedented strike and special operation mission capabilities” from a stealth, clandestine platform, the U.S. Submarine Group Seven said in response to a Newsweek inquiry, adding that they are ready to operate globally at any time.
According to ship spotters, the Ohio left its homeport in late February for a westward voyage to Hawaii. It set sail again in early April, departing from Pearl Harbor en route to Guam.
This marked the third deployment of an Ohio-class guided-missile submarine to the Western Pacific Ocean in less than a year. The Florida and the Michigan made port calls in Guam in early July and early November in 2024, respectively, Newsweek previously reported….

Calif Dem Gov Newsom seeks pause on free healthcare for low-income illegal immigrants

California Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom is seeking a pause on free state healthcare for low-income illegal immigrants amid budget challenges.
The reason for the pause is that the initial plan to expand California’s free healthcare benefits to all low-income illegal immigrants ran $2.7 billion more than Newsom’s administration expected, and President Trump’s tariffs are estimated to cost the state $16 billion in tax revenues, according to the governor.
The indefinite pause means that low-income illegal immigrant adults will become ineligible to apply for California’s Medicaid program in 2026. Children will not be impacted by the pause and those already enrolled will remain on their plans, the Associated Press reported.
In 2027, low-income illegal and legal immigrant adults on the program, called Medi-Cal, who are ineligible for federally-funded Medicaid, will have to pay a $100 monthly premium.
Newsom’s office estimates that the changes will save California $5.4 billion by 2028-2029.
“The state must take difficult but necessary steps to ensure fiscal stability and preserve the long-term viability of Medi-Cal for all Californians,” the governor’s office said in an announcement.
Renowned Toxicologist: mRNA ‘Vaccines’ Have Destroyed Immune Systems of Millions

A world-renowned toxicologist has warned that millions of people who received Covid mRNA “vaccines” have been impacted by a devastating injury, including himself.
The chilling warning was issued by the associate professor of pharmacology and toxicology at the University of Western Australia, Dr. Phil Burcham.
In a blistering critique published in the May 2025 edition of the journal Quadrant, Burcham raises urgent questions about the chemical design and safety testing of Covid mRNA “vaccines.”
Drawing upon firsthand injury experience, insider pharmaceutical literature, and decades of toxicological science, Burcham alleges that the deployment of mRNA-LNP technologies ignored well-known formulation risks.
The Covid mRNA injections also exposed patients to unvalidated toxic excipients and sidestepped rigorous preclinical evaluation, he argues….
