Mutilated body found burning in shopping cart leads to gruesome discovery in Bronx kitchen, police say

Yonkers police determined the body “had been placed in a shopping cart and apparently set on fire at that location,” News12 Westchester reported.
Sources close to the investigation told WABC-TV the body was at least partially dismembered, but the station added that a Yonkers Police spokesperson refused to confirm that information.
Police told News12 Westchester that media reports regarding the body having been dismembered were premature and that information couldn’t be determined because of the fire.
Investigators said Tuesday that they found human remains in a kitchen of a residence on Rogers Place in the Bronx and indicated they believe those remains are related to those found burning in Yonkers. The two locations are about eight miles apart. Authorities also reported finding drug paraphernalia and a gun in the bedroom of the Bronx residence.
WNBC reported that a high-ranking NYPD source said investigators obtained video of a man pushing a shopping cart onto a Metro-North train in the Bronx that appeared to match the shopping cart later found burning in Yonkers……
NYC’s ‘shoddy oversight’ wastes ‘millions of taxpayer dollars’ on unused hotel rooms, uneaten food for illegal aliens: Audit

New York City Comptroller Brad Lander (D) released an audit Tuesday that accused Mayor Eric Adams’ (D) administration of “shoddy oversight” of a contract the city held with Rapid Reliable Testing NY LLC, also referred to as DocGo.
The Adams administration signed a $432 million contract with the company to provide illegal aliens residing in the city with services, including shelter, accommodations, and food.
Lander, who recently launched a mayoral bid to push Adams out of office, stated that an audit conducted by a group of independent auditors uncovered “mismanagement” of the contract. He noted that the Department of Housing Prevention & Development “failed to conduct sufficient oversight,” ultimately costing “taxpayers millions of dollars.” The audit alleged that HPD conducted “poor quality” invoice reviews.
“A detailed review of invoices presented for the first two months of the contract found that nearly 80% of payments—$11 million of $13.8 million paid—were unsupported and should be recouped,” Lander’s office reported.
After a review of the first two months of the no-bid emergency contract, DocGo received $1.7 million in taxpayer funds for nearly 10,000 hotel rooms for illegal immigrants that sat vacant.
Roughly 67% of the funds it received during that same period were paid to “unauthorized subcontractors” that were not reviewed by HPD….
FBI Raids MAGA Rep. Andy Ogles Over Campaign Donations Days After He Defeated RINO in GOP Primary

Rep. Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.), a staunch supporter of the MAGA movement, was targeted by federal authorities just days after securing a hard-fought victory in the Republican primary against a RINO challenger.
The raid, reported by local outlet WTVF on Tuesday.
Ogles, who represents a significant portion of Nashville, has been under scrutiny for his campaign’s financial practices. The timing of the raid, coming so soon after his primary win on August 1, has raised eyebrows and sparked allegations of political persecution.
Many conservatives see this as yet another example of the weaponization of federal agencies against those who dare to challenge the establishment.
According to Daily Mail, Ogles admitted to making ‘mistakes’ on his campaign finance disclosures earlier this year. He filed numerous amended reports in May, acknowledging that he had not personally loaned his campaign $320,000 as previously claimed. Other amendments led to further retractions of statements made to the Federal Election Commission.
Despite these issues, Ogles has maintained his commitment to representing the grassroots conservative values of Tennessee’s Fifth Congressional District. “I am a grassroots representative, and I pledged everything I own to run for the honor of representing Tennessee’s Fifth Congressional District,” Ogles stated in May, underscoring his dedication to his constituents……
Homeless veterans lawsuit against the VA goes to trial in Los Angeles

Attorneys representing homeless veterans in the case also seek to end the VA’s practice of leasing land to commercial enterprises — including a golf course, parking facilities and an oil drilling company — on the West Los Angeles campus where housing for the veterans is under development.
“For countless veterans, military service has rendered them unable to fully resume their civilian lives, sustain their family relationships, maintain employment, continue their education or even maintain a permanent residence,” according to the lawsuit, which is being heard in U.S. District Court in the Central District of California.
The attorneys are asking Judge David Carter to increase the number of “permanent supportive housing” units that the VA is required to build for homeless disabled veterans on the campus from 1,215 to 4,000. Supportive housing would have case managers and social services on site to help disabled veterans live independently.
The attorneys also claim the VA has not followed through on the terms of a 2016 court settlement that established a master plan for building housing for disabled veterans on the site.
They are demanding the VA increase the pace of housing construction, noting the first 200 units were completed only after the lawsuit was filed two years ago, according to a brief filed in July.
Lawyers from the Justice Department and VA are arguing the request to build thousands of additional units than originally planned places an undue burden on the VA. Lawyers said there has been no analysis conducted to determine whether all 4,000 units would be filled.
Attorneys for the homeless veterans also asked the judge to bar commercial home builders from disqualifying veterans for the subsidized housing because of their disability compensation.
Carter already ruled in May that the VA discriminated against homeless veterans by deeming them ineligible for the housing because of their level of disability benefits. Veterans with the most severe disability receive higher benefits……
Pakistani man with ties to Iran is charged in plot to carry out political assassinations on US soil

Asif Merchant traveled to New York in April for the purpose of hiring hitmen, even paying a $5,000 advance to two would-be assassins who were actually undercover law enforcement officers. He was arrested last month before he could leave the U.S. and the plot was foiled by the FBI.
Court documents do not identify any of the potential targets, but the case was unsealed just weeks after U.S. officials disclosed that a threat on Donald Trump’s life from Iran prompted additional security in the days before a Pennsylvania rally last month in which Trump was injured by a gunman’s bullet.
Federal officials identified Merchant as a Pakistani citizen who has said he has a wife and children in Iran. He traveled frequently to Iran, Syria and Iraq, the Justice Department said.
U.S. officials have warned for years about Iran’s desire to avenge the 2020 killing of Qassem Soleimani, who led the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Quds Force. That strike was ordered by Trump.
Brussels is hellbent on destroying European farming

The EU, under the control of the global elite, is systematically crushing agriculture through its policies, but this is happening not only in Europe but also across the wider West.
The European Commission and the member states that slavishly follow it, such as Germany, are taking one measure after another that can have no other result than to make traditional farming and livestock breeding impossible, an act that has been practiced for thousands of years.
EU policies threaten to destroy what has provided us with our daily bread and food and make it impossible for farmers to survive.
The adage of “No farmers, no food” is apt. Without them, we will all ultimately starve to death.
Denmark has recently announced that it will introduce cattle, pig, and sheep taxes in 2030. They say (…) these animals cause huge damage, as they emit carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
Behind this is the green ideology, the European Union’s Green Deal, which is based on the idea that global warming is caused by human carbon dioxide emissions, and agriculture is linked to this, since cows, for example, emit a lot of methane into the atmosphere.,,,,,
Did Javier Milei Just Lift Argentina Out of Recession?

During his first year as president, Javier Milei has been waging a bitter but largely successful campaign against inflation.
Now, Argentines received more welcome news: their economy is growing again.
“Economic activity rose 1.3 percent from April, above the 0.1 percent median estimate from analysts in a Bloomberg survey and the first month of growth since Milei’s term began in December,” Bloomberg reported on July 18. “From a year ago, the proxy for gross domestic product grew 2.3 percent.”
The positive economic report, based on data from the Argentine government, is a surprise to many.
The 2.3 percent year-over-year increase defied expectations of a decline of similar magnitude, Bloomberg reported. As Semafor notes, the Argentine economy was projected to have the least economic growth of any country in the world in 2024, according to the International Monetary Fund.
As most people know, Milei inherited an economic mess decades in the making.
When the self-described anarcho-capitalist assumed office in December, Argentina was suffering from the third highest inflation rate in the world—211 percent year over year. The poverty rate was north of 40 percent, and Argentina’s economy was declining.
With his country’s economy in a full tailspin from decades of Peronism, Milei proposed a series of economic reforms dubbed “shock therapy” that consisted primarily of three components: slashing government spending, cutting bureaucracy, and devaluing the peso.
Critics warned that these measures would be disastrous, and many took it for granted that the remedies would deepen Argentina’s recession.
Despite these warnings, Milei delivered his “shock therapy” plan in the first few months of his presidency. Tens of thousands of state workers were cut as were more than half of government ministries, including the Ministry of Culture, as well as the Ministries of Labor, Social Development, Health, and Education (which Milei dubbed “the Ministry of Indoctrination”). Numerous government subsidies were eliminated, and the value of the peso was cut in half…..
Tim Walz left National Guard battalion ‘hanging,’ ‘slithered out the door’ before Iraq deployment: vets

Veterans have accused Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz of “embellishing” his military career and abandoning his National Guard battalion, highlighting that the now-vice presidential pick for the Democrats never served in combat and retired from service ahead of his unit’s 2005 deployment to Iraq.
In a letter posted to Facebook in 2018 as he first ran for governor, retired Command Sergeants Major Thomas Behrends and Paul Herr said Walz retired from his 24-year tenure in the National Guard after learning that his battalion would be deployed to Iraq, despite allegedly assuring his fellow troops he would join them.
“On May 16th, 2005, [Walz] quit, betraying his country, leaving the 1-125th Field Artillery Battalion and its Soldiers hanging; without its senior Non-Commissioned Officer, as the battalion prepared for war,” Behrends and Herr wrote.
Behrends and Herr criticized him for leaving the National Guard for Congress despite being fully aware that he could have requested permission from the Pentagon to seek office while on active duty.
Walz further dodged the necessary paperwork to ensure a smooth transition out of military service and “instead … slithered out the door,” the pair added, with his retirement filing showing “soldier not available for signature.”
The National Guard members also accused the now-two-term Minnesota governor of having “embellished and selectively omitted facts of his military career for years.”

Tim Walz’s gay backstory means everything to queer voters

In 1999 — after the Clinton administration had enacted the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy and banned same-sex marriage through the Defense of Marriage Act — a gay student at Walz’s high school wanted to start a GSA, or gay-straight alliance.
Politically, the nation wasn’t friendly toward queer folks, and Walz, both the high school’s football coach and an enlisted soldier in the Minnesota National Guard, seemed like a left-field choice to be their champion. But Walz defied stereotypes and became the GSA’s faculty advisor.
“It really needed to be the football coach, who was the soldier and was straight and was married,” Walz recalled to the Star Tribune during his campaign for governor in 2018.
Now, Walz’s decades-old choice to stand up for queer students is having the same impact on LGBTQ+ folks across America, who are hopeful that Walz will be a vocal ally to the queer community if he’s elected vice president….
Tim Walz is an ally for LGBTQ+ rights you need to know about

Tim Walz, the Democratic governor of Minnesota, has emerged as a prominent figure in American politics, known for his dedication to creating an inclusive and equitable society for all and his unwavering support of LGBTQ+ rights and commitment to social justice.
Walz’s stance on LGBTQ+ issues
Tim Walz has been a vocal advocate for LGBTQ+ rights throughout his political career. His policies and actions reflect a commitment to equality and non-discrimination.
Same-sex marriage
When running for the House in 2006, Walz ran on a platform expressing support for same-sex marriage, which Minnesota banned in 1997.
In 2011, he announced his support for the Respect for Marriage Act, which aimed to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act and ensure federal and state recognition of same-sex marriages. The act became law in December 2022.
Trans children in sports
In April 2021, when Republicans in the Minnesota Legislature introduced a bill that would ban transgender student-athletes from playing on sports teams matching their gender identity, Walz publicly signaled that he would veto the legislation if it made it to his desk, The Minnesota Reformer reported.
In an April 2021 social media post on X (then Twitter), Walz wrote, “To all trans youth in Minnesota: You are loved and valued.”
Conversion therapy
In April 2023, Walz signed a statewide bill banning so-called conversion therapy, the widely discredited and disavowed practice of attempting to change someone’s sexual orientation or gender identity.
The conversion therapy ban forbids any medical or mental healthcare practitioner from offering such therapy to minors and “vulnerable” adults. It also forbids any entities from publishing advertising that refers to LGBTQ+ identities as “a mental disease, disorder or illness” or promises to change a person’s sexual orientation or gender identity. Practitioners who break the law could face discipline from the state’s health licensing boards.
During the law’s signing ceremony, Walz stated, “Minnesota says, ‘Welcome to a state who values who you are and protects you for who you are.’”……

And to make matters worse, Glenn wonders: If the Party staged a coup to get President Biden off the ticket and coronate Harris, who chose Tim Walz?

Rumble Joins X to Sue Advertising Cartel that Allegedly Conspired to Withhold Digital Advertising Revenue

Rumble (NASDAQ:RUM), the video-sharing platform and cloud services provider, announced that it has joined the social media platform X to file antitrust lawsuits alleging a conspiracy to withhold advertising revenue from Rumble and other digital media platforms.
In its filing in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Rumble named as defendants the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA), as well as the advertising agency WPP and its subsidiary GroupM Worldwide.
The conspiracy centers around an initiative called the Global Alliance for Responsible Media (GARM), created by the WFA, that established arbitrary standards for the content on digital platforms where its members may want to advertise. GARM used those one-size-fits-all standards to perpetrate an advertiser boycott against Rumble and other platforms. The suit also notes that GARM has vast reach since it counts the six largest ad agency holding companies among its members, including defendant WPP.
“The brand safety standards set by advertisers and their ad agencies should succeed or fail in the marketplace on their own merits and not through the coercive exercise of market power,” Rumble’s complaint reads. “All of this illegal conduct is done at the expense of platforms, content creators, and their users, as well as the agencies’ own advertiser clients who pay more for ads as a result of their collusion.”…..
Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson Is Encouraging Residents To Report Neighbors for “Misinformation”

Michigan’s Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson has launched a campaign to root out supposed “election misinformation” – by urging the state’s residents to report each other.
As if more chaotic divisiveness was needed ahead of the November vote, the idea here, in one of the swing states, seems to be to get people to keep an eye on their neighbors, and if what they see and hear is interpreted as “misinformation” – report it, complete with a photo, “if possible.”
A document from Benson’s office provides a Michigan government email as the address for such reports, while the call to this type of action can be found on the official page about “voter education resources.”
The Michigan Bureau of Elections has published a document that aims to address a host of threats to “a healthy democracy” – foreign, domestic, partisan, “or simply malicious.”….
Illegal immigrants on voter rolls spurs watchdog group to sue Maricopa County

Conservative watchdog group America First Legal is suing an Arizona county for allegedly refusing to remove thousands of illegal immigrants from its voter rolls.
“America First Legal is leading the charge to keep illegal aliens from voting in 2024,” AFL president Stephen Miller said in a statement. “Maricopa County, in direct violation of state law, is refusing to remove illegal alien voters from the rolls. We are taking decisive action: suing Maricopa County for unlawfully permitting illegal aliens and foreign citizens to interfere in the 2024 election.”
The lawsuit, filed Monday night, which was on behalf of the nonprofit group Strong Communities Foundation of Arizona and Yvonne Cahill, a registered voter and naturalized citizen in Maricopa County, comes as AFL gave Maricopa County one week to address the alleged illegal immigrants on the voter roll…..

Federal Judge Declares Google a Monopolist, Setting the Stage for Major Industry Shakeup

On Monday, a pivotal ruling from a federal judge declared that Google had breached antitrust regulations in its quest to dominate the online search and advertising sectors. Judge Amit Mehta’s decision noted that Google had perpetuated its monopoly through specific strategies that violated section 2 of the Sherman Act.
We obtained a copy of the ruling for you here.
The lawsuit, which commenced in 2020, later expanded to include multiple states and territories, encapsulating the gravity and scale of the legal scrutiny Google faces. Early in the trial, government attorney Kenneth Dintzer articulated that the proceedings would significantly influence the future of internet governance.
The trial’s largely private proceedings sparked criticism from transparency advocates, who accused Google of trying to minimize public oversight and media exposure. Google had successfully argued that opening up the trial fully would risk exposing sensitive trade secrets……
