NJ Dad Gets 25 Years for Fatally Beating Son, 6, Day After Boy’s Mother Lost Emergency Custody Bid

Christopher Gregor was sentenced to 25 years for the death of his son Corey Micciollo, who passed away all alone in a hospital bed on April 2, 202,1 after being abandoned at a local hospital by his father.
He received 20 years for the charge of aggravated manslaughter and five years for the charge of endangering the welfare of a child, which the judge said would run consecutively.
An autopsy determined that Corey’s cause of death was blunt force injuries, including blunt force trauma with cardiac and liver contusions with acute inflammation and sepsis. A second autopsy done almost one year later found the manner of death to be homicide.
A jury convicted Gregor of aggravated manslaughter and endangering the welfare of a child back in May while finding him not guilty of second-degree murder. Those convictions stem from two incidents involving Gregor and his son.
The jury convicted Gregor of endangering the welfare of a child after prosecutors played surveillance video from the gym inside his apartment complex taken two weeks before his son’s death on March 20, 2021.
In the video, Gregor can be seen forcing Corey to run at full speed on a treadmill and then repeatedly picking the boy up and forcing him back on the machine each time he falls. At one point in the video, Gregor also appears to be biting his son on the head.
After learning about this incident, Corey’s mother, Bre Micciolo, petitioned the court for emergency custody of her son.
A judge denied that bid on April 1, 2001, writing in his ruling that the court “does not find that … Corey is in danger of imminent and irreparable harm. Therefore, the Court does not find a temporary modification of the parties’ custody and parenting time arrangement appropriate at this time.”
The following day, Bre dropped Corey off at Gregor’s home.
It was the last time she would ever see her son alive……

Virginia, Missouri, and Wyoming Launch Investigations into ActBlue for Alleged Money Laundering

The Attorneys General of Virginia and Missouri, alongside the Secretary of State of Wyoming, have announced concurrent investigations into ActBlue amid accusations of a money laundering scheme. This comes following an investigative report by journalist James O’Keefe III, released in March 2023 through the O’Keefe Media Group.
The investigation by O’Keefe exposed a network of alleged donation harvesters within the Democratic Party, involving millions of dollars and hundreds of thousands of illegal drops across various states.
His report suggested that average Americans, particularly those unemployed or retired, were being listed as donors for thousands of contributions, often without their knowledge.
Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares launched an investigation into ActBlue entities, citing the need for transparency and legal compliance in campaign financing. “The citizens of the Commonwealth of Virginia deserve to know that nonprofit and political entities are financed in a legal manner and that entities operating in Virginia are legitimately and legally raising funds,” Miyares stated. He has requested detailed information on ActBlue’s processes for verifying donor legitimacy and accuracy.
In Missouri, Attorney General Andrew Bailey has expressed his office’s dedication to investigating these allegations. “My team is looking into the disturbing allegations surrounding ActBlue. More to come,” Bailey announced, indicating that the investigation is in its early stages.
Wyoming Secretary of State Chuck Gray has also initiated an investigation into ActBlue Wyoming, focusing on allegations of identity theft to mask illegal donations, potentially from foreign sources. “The widespread allegations against ActBlue are deeply troubling, and we must ensure that political action committees are following the Wyoming Election Code,” Gray said. He emphasized the seriousness of filing false statements and the potential legal repercussions.
These investigations are driven by findings such as those from Chris Gleason, who reported on so-called “Campaign Finance Mules” in Georgia, and Tim Cramer and Adam Sharp, who uncovered similar patterns in Indiana. Their findings revealed that numerous donations were falsely attributed to individuals who either denied making the donations or were not residing at the listed addresses.
Investigative researcher Parker Thayer, associated with the Capital Research Center, highlighted suspicious donation patterns in Michigan, with individuals supposedly making thousands of contributions from addresses like retirement homes, raising concerns about exploitation and fraudulent activity……
Rampant fraud prompts Biden-Harris admin to halt controversial mass immigration program

The Biden-Harris administration recently decided to halt one of its controversial immigration programs after an internal report uncovered rampant fraud, according to a Thursday Fox News Digital report.
The internal report uncovered sponsor applications that used the same social security numbers, address, and phone numbers hundreds of times, Fox News Digital reported.
The report, obtained by the Federation for American Immigration Reform, showed that 100,948 forms had been filed by 3,218 serial sponsors, defined as those who appeared on at least 20 forms.
In some instances, sponsors used phone numbers belonging to dead people, addresses of storage units, and nonexistent zip codes, the report found.
Despite the alarming findings, the DHS maintained that applicants are “thoroughly screened and vetted prior to their arrival to the United States.”
Ira Mehlman, a spokesperson for FAIR, told the news outlet, “This is an indication that the administration was willing to cut every corner and endanger public safety in order to bring in as many illegal aliens as they could.”
Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Green (R-Tenn.) released a statement responding to the DHS’ recent decision to pause the program……

“ORDERED, on the court’s own motion, that this case be remanded to the District Court for further proceedings consistent with the Supreme Court’s opinion,” the Aug. 2 filing reads.

Open court hearings are anticipated, after which the judge will determine the extent to which the Special Counsel’s evidence can be used in the trial.

Taxpayer group sues California claiming ballot language misleads

The ballot question initially was intended to reduce the voter threshold for general obligation bonds and special taxes for certain housing and infrastructure projects. However, the special tax portion was later removed from Proposition 5.
Coupal targets the ballot label, which is a condensed version of the title and summary. That label doesn’t state the current threshold is two-thirds, and that the ballot measure would reduce that to a 55% margin. The title and summary do contain that information.
Proposition 5 reached the November ballot by way of Assembly Constitutional Amendment 1, written by Assemblymember Cecilia Aguiar-Curry, a Winters Democrat.
Aguiar-Curry couldn’t be reached for comment.
Local officials have said the change is needed, as some votes have secured a majority but fallen short of the two-thirds required.
However, Coupal has previously called the constitutional amendment an attack on Proposition 13 — the state’s landmark and voter-approved proposition on taxes…….
