Mom ‘wanted time alone’ after ‘rough day’ so she drowned 7-year-old in shallow creek, saying she held girl underwater ‘like a large mouth bass’: Police

A 33-year-old mother in Tennessee is accused of killing her 7-year-old daughter, allegedly drowning the child in a creek because she had a “rough day” and “wanted time alone.”

Brandi Nicole Elliot was taken into custody over the weekend and charged with first-degree murder in the slaying of young Piper Elliot, authorities announced.

According to a news release from the Hendersonville Police Department, officers on July 13, responded to a report of a child that had drowned in Drakes Creek, near 200 Sanders Ferry Road. The area is about 15 miles northeast of Nashville.

Emergency medical personnel transported Piper to a hospital, but doctors were not able to resuscitate her. She was pronounced dead at about 11:45 p.m., authorities said.

Detectives were called to the scene and interviewed the victim’s mother — identified by authorities as Elliot — regarding the circumstances of her daughter’s drowning. Authorities say that after being transported to the police station and read her Miranda rights, Elliot confessed to forcibly drowning Piper in shocking detail….

Biden’s Team Deliberately Kneecapped Trump’s Security To Allow An Assassination Attempt

Nobody wants to hear this because of the implications, but oh well, because it needs to be said: Joe Biden’s security regime deliberately and with malice and forethought created the conditions that led to an attempted assassin shooting Donald Trump in the head. It is by the grace of God that he lived and our nation is not currently in the midst of a violent civil war.

They deliberately starved Trump’s security team of the resources it needed. And they did it repeatedly, over many weeks and months.

With Trump’s security detail understaffed, under-resourced, and stretched to its limits, Biden’s security regime reportedly diverted even more resources to a hastily planned Jill Biden event that just happened to be in the area.

Biden’s security regime then ordered the most obvious assassination perch in the entire area to remain outside the main security perimeter.

Furthermore, Biden’s Secret Service director ordered law enforcement and counter-snipers OFF the roof the assassin used.

If that weren’t enough, Biden’s security regime also refused to block the line of sight from the assassin’s perch to Trump’s location. When law enforcement radioed in a suspicious person using a laser range finder at the building and even took photos of him, nothing was done to detain the assassin.

Given the lies and nonsense from both Biden’s Department of Homeland Security secretary and his Secret Service director, it’s increasingly difficult to believe this was just a series of independent mistakes (Secret Service director Kim Cheatle at one point this week claimed snipers couldn’t be on the roof because it was sloped and they might fall and hurt themselves).

In contrast, when you look at the entire picture, what you see better resembles a deliberate plan to make Trump vulnerable but to appear at first glance to be just a couple of innocent mistakes.

And when you add in how little information we’ve been given about the shooter — apparently the only person on Earth not on the internet — you begin to wonder if maybe a group of people at a different three-letter agency might have been working on a parallel track to find and encourage people to take action against Trump at the very same time he was kept vulnerable by Biden’s regime….

Celebrate Diversity: Muslim Cab Driver Beheads Jesus Statue Outside NYC Church

The New York Post reported Saturday that “a NYC taxi driver was hit with a hate crime [charge] for allegedly beheading a statue depicting a young Jesus outside a Queens Catholic church, prosecutors said.” The iconoclast who did the deed was one Jamshaid Choudhry, who lives in Hollis, Queens.

“Jamshaid” is a Persian name that is common among Muslims in central and south Asia. Choudhry “was arrested Thursday night and charged with criminal mischief as a hate crime and other related crimes for allegedly decapitating the statue outside of the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church in Fresh Meadows on June 30.”

Now why would anyone want to do something as bizarre as beheading a statue?

The most obvious answer would be that the perpetrator hated the person who was depicted, and that is likely true in this case.

The Qur’an says that Jesus is a prophet but denies the central Christian tenet that He is God become man. In fact, it states that those who believe such a thing aren’t believers at all: “They indeed have disbelieved who say, Indeed, Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary” (5:17).

The Qur’an adds that those who say Jesus is the Son of God are under the curse of Allah: “And the Jews say, Ezra is the son of Allah, and the Christians say, The Messiah is the son of Allah. That is their saying with their mouths. They imitate the statements of those who disbelieved before. May Allah curse them. How perverse they are” (9:30).

The Islamic holy book also denies the crucifixion of Christ, although it claims that the Jews believed they had crucified Christ when in fact they had not: “And because of their saying, We killed the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, the messenger of Allah, they did not kill him nor crucify him, but it seemed so to them” (4:157)….

Trump’s Secret Service detail notably male after failed assassination attempt

Donald Trump came to the Republican National Convention with what appeared to be a male-majority Secret Service (USSS) detail, a much different picture than what was seen at the rally where he was nearly shot by a would-be assassin over the weekend.

According to the Daily Mail, at least 10 male USSS agents and only one female agent were seen walking with Trump in a formation around him as he walked around the event on Monday.

The image of having a large number of male USSS was in contrast with the images from the assassination attempt on Saturday where at least three female USSS agents were seen trying to protect the president during the chaos of the event and whisking him off the stage. The female agents had been too short to shield the six-foot-three Trump.

This comes after USSS Director Kimberly Cheatle vowed to make 30 percent of USSS agents female by the year 2030.

Kenneth Gray, an ex-FBI special agent, told the Daily Mail that the agency had “‘really screwed up in their planning for” the rally. “It’s possible to have a tough female out there who doing her job, just like you have males out there who may not be capable of doing their jobs. It’s just that, during this particular event, there were questionable actions on the part of some agents, including some females [sic] agents, that raises one’s eyebrows.”…

Elon Musk to move SpaceX and X from California to Texas to protest ban on schools notifying parents of students’ gender identity

On Tuesday, Elon Musk revealed that SpaceX and X will be moving their headquarters out of California in protest over a new law signed by Governor Gavin Newsom that allows schools to keep kids’ gender identities from their parents and to escape the deteriorating situation in the city by the bay.

The billionaire said the law was not the main reason for his decision to leave the Pacific coast for the Lone Star state, but that it was what pushed him over the edge.

“This is the final straw,” Musk wrote in a post on X. “Because of this law and the many others that preceded it, attacking both families and companies, SpaceX will now move its HQ from Hawthorne, California, to Starbase, Texas.”

Verizon sued for $2.6 billion for copyright infringement

The largest recording companies in the world have filed a massive lawsuit against Verizon Communications, Verizon Services, and Cellco Partnership (aka Verizon Wireless). The plaintiffs claim that they both enabled and profited from the copyright infringement committed by tens of thousands of its subscribers.

“While Verizon is famous for its “Can you hear me now?” advertising campaign, it has intentionally chosen not to listen to complaints from copyright owners” according to the complaint.

The plaintiffs, which include UMG, Warner Music, Sony, and Capital Records (referred to as “the plaintiffs”), claim that Verizon knowingly continues to provide high-speed internet to a massive community of online pirates. Pirates are those who either download and/or illegally distribute music without paying.

They continue to say that despite hundreds and thousands of copyright infringement notices, “Verizon ignored Plaintiffs’ notices and buried its head in the sand.” Thousands of subscribers had received 20 or more notices, more than 500 received more than 100 notices and one subscriber single-handedly received 4,450 infringement notices.

Since early 2020, the music labels have sent more than 340,000 infringement notices to Verizon which advised Verizon of the blatant use of BitTorrent to illegally download, copy and distribute the copyrighted content.

These operations have cost the Plaintiffs’ over $130 billion in lost revenue in 2023 alone…..

A French soldier was stabbed outside a Paris train station only 11 days before millions of visitors descend on the city for the 2024 Olympics. The soldier’s injuries are not life-threatening and a suspect was arrested in connection with the assault, officials said.

According to French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin, the unidentified soldier was stabbed patrolling the Gare de l’Est station in Paris as part of his regular duties.

Mr. Darmanin said in a post on social media platform X on July 15 that the soldier is expected to survive the attack, and confirmed a suspect was arrested at the scene.

“A soldier from Operation Sentinelle was stabbed while patrolling the Gare de l’Est station in Paris,” Mr. Darmanin said. “His life is not in danger, and the assailant was arrested.”

World’s Top Sniper Sounds the Alarm: “There Were TWO Assassins at the Trump Rally”

Thegatewaypundit.com reports: Having served in a tier one special operations unit called JTF2, Alexander is no stranger to high-stakes security scenarios. His experience includes providing security for VIPs in dangerous countries like Iraq and Afghanistan.

“I spent just about 17 years in the military, 14 of which, just about 14 of which we’re at a tier one special operations unit called JTF2. Our sniper team has the world record for the longest confirmed sniper kill. A huge part of our job while I was there and while I was a sniper was doing close protection for VIPs up to and including the Prime Minister, when he would go to dangerous countries like Iraq or Afghanistan, we would be in charge of that security,” said Alexander.

This background gives him unique insights into the layout and security measures typically involved in protecting high-profile individuals such as former President Trump.

Alexander expressed his belief that the shooter must have had assistance from within an agency, organization, or even the government. He argued that it would be impossible for someone to get onto a rooftop with a gun during broad daylight while a president was speaking without assistance.

“I’m very familiar with the layout of these types of things and what the jobs should be. And yesterday, what happened, I have no doubt in my mind that the shooter had help from somewhere within an agency, an organization, or the government,” said Alexander.

“The second I saw that aerial photo of what they were saying happened, it immediately made no sense to me. You cannot, in broad daylight, get onto a rooftop within what looked like maybe a couple of hundred yards. You can’t get into that position with a gun when there’s a president speaking. It cannot be done. You don’t even need to be a sniper to know that it’s the most f—king obvious thing, the most obvious place in the whole world.”

“So something happened, and I’m not pointing fingers at anyone. It’s too obvious that this guy had help getting there. So whether someone turned a blind eye or it was strategically planned, I mean, it had to be planned to a certain level because events like that and security like that, it’s not a small thing. And that is the most obvious place to be.”…

Donald Trump sues Gretchen Whitmer for making VA medical centers a designated voter registration site

Former President Donald Trump has filed a new lawsuit against Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer accusing her of breaking state law when she allowed voter registration at places such as the Department of Veterans Affairs and U.S. Small Business Administration offices.

The 22-page lawsuit, filed Monday in the U.S. District Court Western District of Michigan, claims only the state legislature, not the governor, can designate voter registration agencies (VRA’s).

Whitmer last year issued an executive directive to designate Saginaw VA Medical Center, the Detroit VA Medical Center and the Department’s Detroit Regional Office as VRAs.

She also allowed people to register to vote at the state Department of Health and Human Services and Housing Development Authority, among other agencies.

Federal judge orders release of John Strand from Jan. 6 prison term

John Strand records a speech by Dr. Simone Gold in Statuary Hall at the U.S. Capitol. Strand worked as Gold’s bodyguard on Jan. 6, 2021.

John Strand, a former model and actor who went to the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 to protect Dr. Simone Gold of America’s Frontline Doctors, was ordered released from prison July 15 in the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court decision stymieing use of a 20-year felony obstruction charge.

United States District Judge Christopher Cooper granted Strand’s second motion for release since February — just weeks after a Supreme Court ruling strictly limited the obstruction of an official proceeding charge leveled against Strand and 354 other Jan. 6 defendants.

Gold, Strand’s friend who served a 60-day prison sentence on a misdemeanor count of entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds, praised Strand’s integrity after learning of the release order.

“He was offered a single misdemeanor plea,” Gold said in an interview with Blaze News. “He said, ‘I’m going to walk into the fire.’ He walked into the fire. He never regretted it. I mean, he’s a full-on hero in an age when we need heroes.”

Strand, 41, of Naples, Fla., will have to finish his 12-month sentence on four Jan. 6 misdemeanor charges, which puts his release date on July 24. Strand was originally sentenced to 32 months in prison.

Strand might come to see his release in the light of the miracle of three Old Testament figures who inspired him during his long Jan. 6 ordeal, Gold said.

Strand loves the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego as told in chapter 3 of the prophecy of Daniel, she said….

Rumble’s Bold New Path: Independent Products to Bypass Demonetization Fears

In recent years, it has become clear that advertisers have a lot of control over online speech. Advertising boycotts and demonetization efforts by advertisers have emerged as potent tools to influence the content hosted by platforms. When advertisers withdraw from platforms, citing content disagreements, it effectively limits what can be said or shown, as creators and platforms alike rely heavily on advertising revenue.

The situation creates a precarious environment where the threat of losing financial support can compel platforms and creators to self-censor, often sidestepping topics that might be deemed controversial by some advertisers. This financial vulnerability opens up a broader debate about the sustainability of relying solely on traditional advertising models, which can be whimsical and politically or culturally biased.

To combat this, Rumble, a video-sharing and cloud services platform, has introduced an intriguing model. By forming strategic partnerships with brands that align with its mission and values, Rumble is exploring new monetization pathways that do not solely depend on mainstream advertising networks. This approach was vividly illustrated in a recent announcement where Rumble revealed collaborations with three unique brands: Pawsitive, Be Naked, and 5G Free….

EXCLUSIVE: ‘Built Differently’—Don Jr. Weighs in on Future Political Violence Targeting His Family

Donald Trump Jr. says his family didn’t have any real answers as to what had happened to their father and grandfather for almost 90 minutes after former President Donald Trump was shot.

Trump Jr. sat down with The Daily Signal at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee on Monday to discuss the Saturday assassination attempt on his father. Authorities shot and killed the shooter, 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, as he lay on a roof where he shot at Trump.

Asked whether he has concerns about his father or his own immediate family being targeted again, Trump Jr. responded, “Obviously that’s something you think about. I try not to, because you also have to live your life.”

“When my father was in office, I had a Secret Service detail, and I was, I think, the No. 2 most threatened person in America according to them, because, like him, I don’t just accept the other side’s narrative and apologize for it. I push back, I fight. That’s the way I’m sort of built, I guess,” he explained. “Maybe we’re all built a little differently—certainly he is. I’d like to believe I got some of those genes.”

“It’s definitely a consideration, and you’ve seen the elevation of that over the years,” Trump Jr. continued. “They couldn’t beat him in so many ways, so they try to sue him to death, then they try to bankrupt him, then they try to take away his businesses, and when that doesn’t work, they try to jail him. It’s sort of the natural progression.”…

Jury convicts Senator Bob Menendez on all federal bribery counts

A federal jury convicted Senator Bob Menendez on Tuesday on bribery and conspiracy charges that placed the New Jersey Democrat at the center of a scheme to receive hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes from Garden State businessmen who sought his political influence.

The 12-person jury deliberated for 12 hours before arriving at the guilty verdict on each of the 16 counts with which he was charged.

Menendez, the highest-ranking Latino member of Congress, was charged with felony counts accusing him and his wife, Nadine Menendez of bribery, conspiracy, wire fraud, acting as a foreign agent and obstruction of justice, among other counts.

The verdict capped a two-month trial in the high-profile corruption case, which already compelled Menendez to step down temporarily from his powerful post as chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and to abandon his Democrat candidacy for 2024 reelection. (He announced plans to run as an independent.)

Newsom signs ban on ‘forced outing’ at California schools into law

California Governor Gavin Newsom on Monday signed a controversial “forced outing” bill into law, legislation that supporters say is essential to protect LGBTQ youth.

Assembly Bill 1955 — written by Assemblymember Chris Ward, a San Diego Democrat and member of the LGBTQ caucus — has three main components.

It restricts school employees from revealing details about a student’s sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression without that student’s consent. It prohibits school districts from making policies that require such disclosure. And it bars school districts from punishing employees who support a student’s rights.

Opponents have slammed the bill, arguing it was rooted in disinformation about local school district policies. They’ve said it would make keeping secrets from parents into law.

Hamas use of UNRWA facilities is more than a tactic – analysis

The discovery that Hamas was using the headquarters of UNRWA in Gaza to recruit new members and also to store rockets and explosives as well as drones illustrates how the use of UN facilities is a key strategy of Hamas.

While this was likely hinted at before, due to the number of times the terrorist group’s members have been located in UN schools, for instance, the fact they targeted the agency’s headquarters shows how blatant this strategy has become.

It’s reasonable to conclude that Hamas views UN facilities as part of its command and control of Gaza. It basically mapped out these facilities and used them openly. It has used them systematically throughout the war.

The fact that the UN and UNRWA, in particular, have not condemned Hamas for this or put out statements daily mentioning how Hamas uses their facilities must raise questions about what the UN organizations know and when they found out….

Shocking New Details About The Assassination Plot (Ep. 2287) – 07/16/2024

A lot of this is not adding up. In this episode, I delve deep into the newly-uncovered details surrounding the Trump assassination attempt, plus my take on JD Vance as VP.

Tucker Carlson: ‘Not Crazy’ to Think ’It Wasn’t Just a Lone Gunman’

Two days after the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, political commentator Tucker Carlson says, “It’s not crazy to think that there was something there, it was an effort to kill Trump, it wasn’t just a lone gunman.”

The assailant crawled on to a nearby rooftop Saturday night while Trump was on stage at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, 33 miles north of Pittsburgh. The shooter fired multiple shots, shirking Trump in the right ear. It remains unclear how the gunman, who was killed, was not seen and neutralized by authorities prior to opening fire.

“At some point we may find out what happened on Saturday,” Carlson says.

The Daily Signal caught up with Carlson behind the scenes of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee Monday to asked about the implications of the assassination attempt on the election, and Trump’s selection of Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, for vice president.

Secret Service Director Kim Cheatle landed job after push by Jill Biden’s office, sources say

Cheatle, 53, is the second woman to lead the presidential protection agency and secured the non-Senate-confirmed role in August 2022 after a three-year stint as senior director of global security at PepsiCo.

Before that, she had served 27 years in the Secret Service, beginning in the Clinton administration.

Four sources close to President Biden’s family, including people who interacted with Cheatle during the Obama-Biden administration, said she was well liked by the future first lady and her most senior aides, including top adviser Anthony Bernal.

“Cheatle served on Dr. Biden’s second lady detail and Anthony pushed for her,” a Democratic insider told The Post. “Anthony has no national security or law enforcement experience. He should have no influence over the selection of the USSS director.”

“I heard at the time she was being considered for director that Anthony had pushed her forward as an option,” another well-placed source told The Post.

Bernal, 51, is widely regarded as rivaling even White House chief of staff Jeff Zients in terms of influence over administration decisions.

He has faced allegations of bullying and sexual harassment from colleagues who have likened his sway to that of Russian mystic Grigori Rasputin over the Romanov court.

“Anthony is obsessed with being DEI-compliant,” a third source told The Post, using the acronym for diversity, equity and inclusion — the human resources practice of attempting to ensure diversity in the workforce.

Cheatle is expected to provide a briefing to members of Congress Tuesday on how gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, was able to climb onto a roof about 130 yards from Trump’s location at a rally in Butler, Pa., before firing an AR-15-style rifle at the former president, wounding him and two others and killing a rally-goer….
