Illegal Immigrant Arrested For 13th Time After Years-Long Crime Spree, ICE Says
Syed Mohamed Tousif Mohiuddin, 39, had been arrested 12 times by different local law enforcement agencies on assault, stalking and robbery charges, among others, according to ICE. He was first arrested by the Fremont Police Department in California on Aug. 19, 2013 for alleged assault with a deadly weapon and vandalism.
“Between 2013 and 2021, he was arrested 12 times by multiple local police departments and sheriff’s offices in the state of California, and one police department in Las Vegas, Nevada, for violent misdemeanors that include battery with serious bodily injury, hit and run, stalking, robbery and intent to terrorize,” the agency further noted Monday
An illegal immigrant from Honduras has also been arrested on multiple charges after allegedly going on a 25-day “terror” spree.
US marshals ask Congress for $38m in security as threats against judges rise
Both programs were tucked into the US justice department’s budget proposal unveiled on Monday and were part of the US Marshals Service’s overall request for $4bn for the 2025 fiscal year that begins 1 October.
The budget request proposes using $28.1m to create a new office of protective services within the marshals agency’s judicial security division, which is tasked with protecting more than 2,700 sitting judges and managing courthouse security.
The marshals are seeking 53 new positions for the office, which “will develop a strong framework for fulfilling protective responsibilities for the federal judiciary”, including the US supreme court, the justice department said.
Biden Cobbles Together $300 Million For Ukraine As Pentagon Replenishment Funds Run Dry
The Pentagon will quickly deliver an additional $300 million in weapons aid to Ukraine, the first such package delivered by the Biden administration since December 2023, The Associated Press reported on Tuesday.
The Pentagon warned in December that it had run out of replenishment funds, and as of March has overdrawn the funds by $10 billion.
The replenishment funding system allows the Pentagon to pull from existing weapons and military equipment in reserves under the presidential drawdown authority.
A senior defense official told reporters on Tuesday that the $300 million aid package is a “one-time shot” unless Congress can approve additional funds, according to the AP.

I think a nice 20-year prison sentence would be a good reminder that the United States is still a country with the rule of law. (And yes, I know the statute refers to departments or agencies, but Congress should surely have rights to the preservation of its proceedings at least as strong as those in the rest of the government.)

Last month, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) brought an enforcement action against JP Morgan Securities (JP Morgan) for impeding hundreds of advisory clients and brokerage customers from reporting potential securities law violations to the SEC.
JP Morgan will pay $18 million to settle the action.
The SEC said that JP Morgan regularly asked retail clients to sign confidential release agreements if they had been issued a credit or settlement from the firm of more than $1,000.
The agreements required the clients to keep confidential the settlement, all underlying facts relating to the settlement, and all information relating to the account at issue.
Boeing whistleblower found dead of a gunshot wound; didn’t finish testimony against the company
Barnett recently became involved in a whistleblower lawsuit against Boeing, blasting the company for allegedly retaliating against him for detailing possible safety issues at the aerospace and defense corporation’s factories. He was poised last week to continue with his pretrial deposition but never showed up.
Barnett was found dead Saturday in his truck outside his South Carolina hotel, reported the BBC.

The second case involves Brandon Belmonte, the owner of an auto repair shop in Brooklyn. Whitehead extorted $5,000 out of Belmonte following a repair. He then also tried to persuade Belmonte to loan him an additional $500,000 in connection with a real estate venture, promising in return he would use his influence with New York City Mayor Eric Adams to secure Belmonte some political favors.
Finally, as Blaze News previously reported, Whitehead forged several bank documents, claiming to have millions of dollars in assets in a business that “had an average ending balance of less than ten dollars,” the affidavit said. He then used the bank loans to purchase a lavish mansion in Paramus, New Jersey, and also attempted to use those funds to secure another $250,000 loan. His loan application in that case was denied, however.

Edina Bracho, 33, was allegedly speeding the wrong way in Hazelwood in December — doing 75 mph in a 40-mph zone — when her minivan collided with a Jeep carrying Travis Wolfe and his parents, Timothy and Stephanie, the St. Louis Post Dispatch reported.
The 12-year-old was rushed to St. Louis Children’s Hospital, where he was placed on life support for three months before succumbing to his injuries last Wednesday.
Bracho’s two children were taken to the same hospital with serious injuries, while Travis’ parents were treated at Mercy Hospital for multiple broken bones, Fox 2 reported.

In posts on X, the account identified by the FBI as belonging to Mr. Banuelos suggested he used to be a federal employee.

The account was still active as of March 11.
No Charges Over Killing
On July 4, 2021, Mr. Banuelos told police officers in Utah that he had stabbed a man at a local park, who subsequently died.
