Report: Secret Service Snipers Instructed NOT to Fire Until AFTER Assassin Takes the First Shot

RealClearPolitics White House and National Political Correspondent Susan Crabtree dropped an important report on the failure of the Secret Service to protect President Donald J. Trump and those around him during last week’s Pennsylvania rally.

According to Crabtree, the potential lack of drones and the “DEI” protocols at the Secret Service contributed to the failure, but the biggest reason Trump’s life was put in danger is because rules of engagement prohibit snipers from engaging until the assassin shoots first.

Here’s the full report from Crabtree:

Here’s my reporting on why the Secret Service did not shoot until AFTER the shooter engaged and some context about the House Republicans’ investigation already underway (months before Trump’s assassination attempt) into whether the agency’s DEI policies are affecting its readiness.

The blowback against the Secret Service started within the hour of the assassination attempt and continued even after Trump and other credited the agency with saving Trump’s life by quickly killing a shooter crawling across a nearby rooftop.

But a source within the Secret Service community tells RealClearPolitics that the agency rules of engagement in this situation are to wait until the president is fired upon to return fire…

The Biggest Questions We Need Answered After the Trump Assassination Attempt

There are still a lot of questions that need answers after the failed assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump. How did the shooter get past security and onto the roof? Did the Secret Service designate it as a prime possible sniping location? How was there a ladder there? Were there any guards at all? Why didn’t the police act sooner? Is it true that counter-snipers weren’t assigned to the rally until the day before?!

What was up with Trump’s female Secret Service bodyguards? Is the head of the Secret Service – whose previous employment was at PepsiCo – qualified for the job? But there was one thing that should be clear:

We came dangerously close to another JFK moment. Glenn notes that while President Biden and the media insist that we shouldn’t jump to conclusions about the killer’s motives, it’s clear that he wanted to take out the likely GOP candidate for president.

Trump Calls for Secret Service Protection for Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

In a recent post on Truth Social, former President Donald Trump called for immediate Secret Service protection for Robert F. Kennedy Jr., highlighting the historical tragedies that have befallen the Kennedy family and the current volatile global climate.

“In light of what is going on in the world today, I believe it is imperative that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. receive Secret Service protection — immediately,” Trump wrote. “Given the history of the Kennedy Family, this is the obvious right thing to do!”

Trump’s call to action underscores the heightened security concerns surrounding public figures, especially in the wake of recent events. The assassination attempt on Trump during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, has reignited discussions about the adequacy of security measures for political figures.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an environmental attorney and author, is the son of Robert F. Kennedy, who was assassinated in 1968 during his presidential campaign. The Kennedy family has endured significant tragedy, including the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963.

RFK Jr. previously said that the Biden administration denied his request for Secret Service protection, but more lawmakers are calling for him to receive the same service as other presidential candidates after Trump survived an assassination attempt.

The former president’s appeal comes amid growing concerns about political violence and the safety of high-profile individuals. The Secret Service is responsible for the protection of the president, vice president, and their immediate families, as well as visiting foreign dignitaries and other designated individuals.

Trump’s statement has drawn attention to the procedures and criteria for providing Secret Service protection. Historically, the decision to extend such protection to presidential candidates is made by the Department of Homeland Security, based on recommendations from an advisory committee that considers the candidate’s prominence, the level of threat, and other factors….

The VP pick is in: Trump’s running mate set to make first appearance at GOP Convention

Speculation around Trump’s VP pick has been a significant talking point leading up to the convention.

The reported shortlist has included Ohio Senator J.D. Vance, Florida Senator Marco Rubio, and North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum. The final decision, shrouded in secrecy, has been made according to sources who spoke with MxM News, with the chosen candidate set to appear for the first time today at 4:37 PM ET/3:37 PM CT.

Sources have confirmed that Marco Rubio received a call informing him that he was not selected, narrowing the choice to either Vance or Burgum. This development has fueled further speculation and anticipation among delegates and attendees at the convention.

The VP nominee is expected to play a crucial role in Trump’s campaign, bringing strategic strengths to the ticket. J.D. Vance, known for his strong alignment with Trump’s policies and his popularity in Ohio, and Doug Burgum, a businessman-turned-governor with a solid track record, each offer unique advantages.

The convention’s primary focus on its first day is the theme, “Make America Wealthy Once Again,” aiming to highlight Trump’s past economic achievements and his vision for the future….

January 6 arrests slow in June but are still running far ahead of 2023, 2022 levels

The number of Jan. 6 arrests by the FBI cooled in June, but the totals for the first six months of 2024 are still running far ahead of the same period in 2023 and 2022, according to new figures from the U.S. Department of Justice.

According to the DOJ’s 42-month Jan. 6 report, the FBI arrested 15 people on Jan. 6 charges from June 6 through July 6, down from 33 arrests the previous month and 37 arrests from April to May.

The FBI has arrested 207 Jan. 6 protesters in the first six months of 2024, 42.5% ahead of the 119 arrests in the same period in 2023 and 37% ahead of the 130 arrests in 2022. The current year started with a marked increase in arrests, and the trend has continued overall since.

LIVE: Day One: 2024 Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin – 7/15/24

5,000 Leftist Demonstrators Descend On GOP Convention 48 Hours After Trump Assassination Attempt

The Coalition to March on the RNC is preparing for a “major march and rally” today outside a — hopefully — heightened security perimeter around the Fiserv Forum, home of the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks and the temporary digs of this week’s Republican National Convention.

The coalition includes the usual Marxist suspects demonstrating for a host of leftist pet causes, from their twisted view of “genocide in Gaza” to trans insanity. The Chinese communists will be there, as will the home team of left-wing zealots such as the Milwaukee branch of the Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression. Milwaukee city officials approved every leftist protest request, according to the New York Post.

But this year the demonstrators, many well known to law enforcement, are flying their hostile freak flags in the shadow of a near-miss attempt on the life of former President Donald Trump, slated to receive his third-straight GOP presidential nomination later this week.

Julio Rosas, Blaze Media’s national correspondent and author of Fiery But Mostly Peaceful: The 2020 Riots and the Gaslighting of America, knows the Marxist movement in America inside and out. He told me many of the same players who participated in the violent Black Lives Matter-driven protests the summer of the last presidential election cycle will be front and center in Milwaukee.

He gave a weatherman’s chance of 30 percent to 40 percent potential for chaos in the streets. That was before the murderous events Saturday at the Pennsylvania Trump rally. ….

Trump: DOJ Should Dismiss ‘All Witch Hunts’

“As we move forward in Uniting our Nation after the horrific events on Saturday,” Trump wrote on Truth Social less than two full days after he nearly was assassinated in Pennsylvania, “this dismissal of the Lawless Indictment in Florida should be just the first step, followed quickly by the dismissal of ALL the Witch Hunts — The January 6th Hoax in Washington, D.C., the Manhattan D.A.’s Zombie Case, the New York A.G. Scam, Fake Claims about a woman I never met (a decades old photo in a line with her then husband does not count), and the Georgia ‘Perfect’ Phone Call charges.

“The Democrat Justice Department coordinated ALL of these Political Attacks, which are an Election Interference conspiracy against Joe Biden’s Political Opponent, ME. Let us come together to END all Weaponization of our Justice System, and Make America Great Again!”

During an interview with two journalists on his private plane Sunday, Trump said “we hear” that Biden will order the Department o

Judge Cannon Dismisses Trump Classified Docs Case

Cannon, who was appointed to the bench by Trump, granted the defense motion to dismiss the case Monday, voiding a prosecution that at the time it was brought was seen as the most perilous of the multiple legal threats Trump faced.

The dismissal comes just hours after the start of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and the attempted assassination of the former president.

Lawyers for Trump had argued Smith was illicitly appointed in violation of the Constitution’s Appointments Clause and that his office was improperly funded by the Justice Department. Smith’s team had vigorously contested the argument during hearings before Cannon last month.

“Special counsel Smith’s use of a permanent indefinite appropriation also violates the Appropriations Clause, U.S. Constitution, but the court need not address the proper remedy for that funding violation given the dismissal on Appointments Clause grounds,” Cannon added in her ruling.

It marked another blockbuster legal victory for Trump, following the July 1 Supreme Court ruling that as a former president he enjoyed immunity from prosecution for many of his actions in office.

Veteran sniper from team with longest confirmed kill says roof used by would-be assassin Thomas Crooks was ‘the most f–king obvious’ risk

A veteran of the sniper team with the world’s longest confirmed kill refuses to believe untrained gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks was so easily able to shoot former President Donald Trump — saying even “a seventh-grader” would know the rooftop he climbed onto was “the most f–king obvious” place to check.

“I’m very familiar with the layout of these types of things and what the job should be,” retired sniper Dallas Alexander said in an Instagram post Sunday of the previous day’s attempted assassination at Trump’s rally in Butler, Pa.

“And yesterday what happened, I have no doubts in my mind that the shooter had help from somewhere within an agency, an organization, or the government,” Alexander stated firmly.

“The second I saw that aerial photo of what they say happened, it immediately made no sense to me,” he said of the rooftop Crooks climbed onto, within direct sight of where Trump was speaking roughly 400 feet away….
