Las Vegas police shut down traffic near Charleston Boulevard, Pavilion Center Drive amid reports of a shooting at a Summerlin area law firm.
Three people are dead after a shooting at a law office in the Summerlin area on Monday morning.
A source tells us shots were fired amid a deposition, and that the shooter killed two people before fatally shooting himself.
Additional sources told Channel 13 police were responding to Prince Law Group, with offices located on the corner of Charleston Boulevard and Pavilion Center Drive.

School Lunch Programs Threatened by California’s Fast Food Minimum Wage Hike
California’s new $20 an hour minimum wage law isn’t just forcing businesses to raise prices, lay off employees, and even close – it’s also threatening the state’s school lunch programs.
The law targeting fast food restaurants, which went into effect on April 1, raises the fast food minimum hourly wage from to $20 – $4 higher than the state’s $16 minimum for other employees. In response, chains like Burger King and In-N-Out Burger have been forced to raise prices. Others, like Mod Pizza and Fosters Freeze have simply closed stores following the increase in operating costs.
But, one unanticipated consequence of the mandated wage hike is the negative impact it will have on California’s school food services.
School districts, which are already dealing with tight budgets and food service staff shortages, will have to compete for employees with fast food chains paying a minimum of $20 an hour.

Democratic lawmakers came to an agreement Friday to reduce the state’s multibillion-dollar deficit by $17.3 billion through a combination of spending cuts, delays and deferrals, a deal reached behind closed doors Republican lawmakers quickly labeled as “gimmicky.”
After Newsom initially predicted in January that the budget shortfall was only about $37.9 billion, the state’s nonpartisan Legislative Analyst’s Office (LAO) predicted it was nearly double that amount by the following month. Historically, the LAO’s data has been more accurate for the state’s economic outlook, according to Fong, who has been on the state’s budget committee nearly a decade.
The economic slowdown, caused by the state’s highest unemployment in the nation after recent data revealed that job growth in the Golden State was much lower in 2023 than previously believed, is largely to blame for the shortfall. The exodus of businesses and residents from the state for more tax-friendly states is also a contributing factor. California relies heavily on income taxes for its revenue.
Republican state Rep. Kevin Kiley, who has been one of Newsom’s top critics in the legislature, told Fox News Digital another driver of costs is the state’s progressive championing of taxpayer-funded health care coverage for illegal immigrants in the state.

Persecution of Trump’s lawyers imperils the rule of law
Lawyers don’t get much sympathy. But in those moments when you need to protect your life, liberty, or property, a lawyer is your shield, your advocate, your friend. Lawyers are important not only personally to individuals in crisis, but broadly to the rule of law, which is under attack in America by the very persons and institutions meant to uphold it.
The persecution now unfolding of two American lawyers, John Eastman and Jeff Clark, tells the tale. It presages trouble not just for lawyers but for the rule of law itself and all of us who live under the freedom and protection it provides.
A California court, after the most lengthy and expensive bar trial in our nation’s history, ruled late last month that Eastman should be disbarred. Last week, the bar trial of Clark began in the District of Columbia. These lawyers, both of whom were deservedly at the pinnacle of their profession, have been indicted as criminal conspirators, have been stripped of their jobs and their livelihoods, have been hauled from their homes by the FBI, have been handcuffed and forced to perform “perp walks,” and have had their homes vandalized and their wives and children harassed.
All these people know very well that neither Eastman nor Clark ever “denied” or tried to “overturn” the election. Neither of them ever misrepresented the facts or the law about the 2020 election. They did not lie or commit fraud and are not guilty of “moral turpitude,” as the bar court quaintly labels their offense of aggressively advocating the case that the election had serious problems.
‘You Have To Be in The Room’: RNC Chair Pledges to Have ‘Thousands’ of Attorneys Watching When 2024 Ballots Are Counted
In an interview with radio talk show host John Catsimatidis on WABC 770 AM’s “Cats Roundtable,” Whatley promised to have “thousands” of attorneys ready to respond when Democrats try their usual shenanigans.
“We want to make sure that every state has good rules of the road, right,” Whatley said. “So we’re working with the legislatures, we’re working with the boards of elections, the secretaries of states to make sure that the laws, the rules, the regulations that cover elections are where we need them to be.”
Whatley, who recently took over from the ousted Ronna Romney McDaniel, added that the RNC will make sure their lawyers and observers are physically “in the room”
Michigan: Anti-Israel Protesters Chant ‘Death to America’ on International Al-Quds Day
Video of the protest went viral on social media Sunday, showing activists condemning both Israel and America in the harshest of terms. Activist Tarek Bazzi of the Hadi Institute said chants of “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” were only logical.
“Imam Khomeini, who declared the International Al-Quds Day, this is why he would say to pour all of your chants and all of your shouts upon the head of America,” he later added.
Bazzi then quoted Malcolm X, who said the United States is “one of the rottenest countries that has ever existed on this Earth.”
Regarding those who might say that Israel has a right to exist, Bazzi told the crowd to always respond with “Death to Israel,” referring to it as “the most logical chant shouted across the world today.”
