Trump to sign proclamation sending National Guard to the border immediately
The Trump administration announced Wednesday that President Trump will sign a proclamation to send the National Guard to the border immediately.
Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said at the White House press briefing that it would be done in conjunction with governors and that the administration hopes the deployment begins “immediately.”

“Earlier this week, media outlets reported that a so-called ‘migrant caravan’ was making its way through Mexico with the intent of illegally crossing the southern border of the United States. The President was clear that this caravan needed to be stopped before it arrived at our southern border, and his efforts now appear to be successful. But let me be clear as well: we will not accept the lawlessness of these types of efforts and those who choose to violate our laws, and those who conspire to assist others to violate our laws, will face criminal prosecution.

An Air Force F-16 jet crashed Wednesday at Nellis Air Force Base outside of Las Vegas, defense officials told Fox News.

The status of the pilot, or pilots, was not immediately clear.
The Dow just staged its biggest comeback win in about 2 months
The Dow Jones Industrial Average on Wednesday staged its biggest rebound from an intraday low in about six weeks, according to WSJ Market Data Group.
The blue-chip gauge had been down intraday by as many as 510 points, or 2.1%, but finished the session up 1%, or about 230 points, at 24,264, representing the biggest turnaround from a low on an intraday basis since Feb. 6, when blue chips were down 2.33% but ended with a gain of 2.33%.

YouTube shooter went to gun range before rampage, family did not warn about violence, officials say
The YouTube shooter visited a local gun range Tuesday morning before heading to the video-sharing company’s headquarters in California to carry out the rampage that wounded three people, police said Wednesday.
Nasim Aghdam, 39, of San Diego, was believed to be upset with YouTube’s policy and practices before opening fire in the company’s headquarters in San Bruno, San Bruno Police Chief Ed Barberini said. Police are still determining the exact motive, but said her hatred toward the company appears to be the prime reason.
CMPD detectives rescue woman held captive, tortured by boyfriend
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg detectives are being credited with saving the life of a woman they said was held captive in a north Charlotte home after being beaten and raped.

During the course of the investigation, detectives feared foul play may be involved and were able to develop the first name of a possible suspect and his street address. They were able to find the victim’s car on March 27 at that suspect’s home and knocked on the door.

99 MS-13 Gang Members Arrested – All Entered US as ‘Unaccompanied Minors’
Nearly 100 members of the notoriously violent MS-13 street gang were among the young immigrants admitted into the U.S. under the classification of “unaccompanied minor” during the past 11 months, according to recent government data.
As CNS News reported, a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement study found 99 gang members had received the status, including nearly two-thirds who were also granted “Special Immigrant Juvenile” status.
The immigrants arrested were targeted as part of ICE’s Operation Matador, described by the agency as a “unified effort to combat the proliferation of MS-13 and other transnational criminal gang activity in Long Island, the New York City metropolitan area and the Hudson Valley.”
Customer tosses smoke grenade through McDonald’s drive-thru window
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. – A DeKalb County McDonald’s is working to re-open after someone tossed a smoke grenade through a drive-thru window.
Police told Channel 2 Action News a customer placed an order at the restaurant on North Druid Hills Monday evening.
They said after paying for the food, the customer threw the device inside and sped off in a dark SUV.
Dershowitz on Alleged Trump Collusion: Robert Mueller ‘Inventing a Crime’
Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz reacted to reports that Special Counsel Robert Mueller is investigating President Donald Trump for possible collusion, but does not consider Trump a criminal target in the probe.
Dershowitz, a longtime Democrat who supported Hillary Clinton in 2016, said Mueller would be “inventing a crime” to charge Trump in that case.
“There’s no such crime as ‘collusion’ in the federal statute,” he said.
