WATCH: BLM Activists Accuse Girls of ‘White Privilege’ at Cheerleading Competition
Participants of the competition, which was held at the Kentucky International Convention Center in downtown Louisville, were harassed and accused of being racists for merely attending the event while white, according to WDRB TV.
The protesters reportedly hurled chants, including profanities, at the teens and preteens as they entered the convention center; others held signs to taunt the children for their “racism.” Some of the activists even used bullhorns to yell in the faces of the kids.
Activist Carmen M. Jones accused parents of not caring about black people because they have sent their white daughters to cheerleading classes.
“The reason why you get to be here in these pretty little gorgeous outfits and your gorgeous hair and your gorgeous bows is because of your white privilege,” Jones said. “Breonna [Taylor] is dead. Black mothers are burying their babies while white mothers send their daughters to cheer competitions.”
Report: Google Employees Reporting Racism, Sexism Asked to Take ‘Mental Health’ Leave
NBC News reports that while Google positions itself as a Silicon Valley bastion of progressivism, multiple employees have alleged that the company dismissed complaints of racism and sexism.
Google’s HR department reportedly went as far as to encourage those making complaints to take mental health leave rather than pursue the issue further.
Google reportedly declined to comment on Cruz’s allegations when contacted by NBC. Cruz’s experience with Google is similar to multiple former and current employees, including two prominent Black women, Timnit Gebru and April Curley.
Breitbart News reported on Gebru and Curley who were both pushed out of Google at the end of last year over their complaints about how Google handled racial and gender discrimination issues and attempted to force them to hide AI research data that appeared to show racial bias.
Following Gebru and Curley’s departure, nine other current and former Google employees have come forward with stories of similar treatment.

NYC First Lady asks citizens to ‘physically intervene’ in violent crime after city defunded police
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s wife asked citizens on Saturday to “physically intervene” if they see a violent crime occurring, less than a year after pushing de Blasio to “defund the police,” and remarking that a world without police would be “utopia.”
“As attacks on Asian American communities continue, we’re asking New Yorkers to show up for their neighbors and intervene when witnessing hateful violence or harassment.
I know that can be frightening when you aren’t sure what to do or say, but you can learn,” New York City’s First Lady Chirlane McCray tweeted Saturday.
In June 2020, McCray said a world without police would be “a utopia” during an interview with Time magazine following the death of George Floyd while in custody of the Minneapolis Police Department.
Chicago weekend violence: 23 people shot, 2 murdered just days after bullets fly in Gold Coast
Two people were murdered and more than 20 others were shot in Chicago over the weekend, police said, amid reports of bullets flying along the Windy City’s ritzy Gold Coast.
Chicago Police Department reported 20 shootings involving 23 victims from 6 p.m. Friday to 11:59 p.m. Sunday. Two people were killed, the department said.
CPD said one of the two people murdered was a 51-year-old man who was shot in the head shortly before 7:30 p.m. Sunday, while sitting inside a car on East 83rd Street.
Meanwhile, police late last week warned residents along Chicago’s Golden Coast about a string of incidents in which residents reported shots fired through their windows or at their North Lake Shore Drive building.
Florida man arrested after new wife found buried in backyard
Roberto Colon, 66, of Boynton Beach was arrested Saturday on a charge of first-degree murder in the slaying of 45-year-old Mary Stella Gomez-Mullet, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported.
Colon allegedly told authorities that he wed Gomez-Mullet to give her US citizenship in exchange of taking care of his mother who suffered from dementia, the outlet reported.
Gomez-Mullet was reported missing on Feb. 20 after a friend overheard a concerning encounter between her and Colon over the phone, police said.
The friend told authorities that Gomez-Mullet was yelling, “No, no, no, Roberto!” before the call ended.
She tried calling Gomez-Mullet back, but the phone went straight to voicemail, the outlet reported.

CA Bill Would Require ‘Gender Neutral’ Clothing, Toy Sections in Stores: Children Need to Find ‘Identities’
“This message is about inclusivity,” Cristina Garcia (D) said. “I think we have kids who are figuring out their identities, and so we want to give them that safe space to do that.”
The Times reported:
Low, chairman of the Legislative LGBTQ Caucus, was a coauthor on the measure with Assemblywoman Cristina Garcia (D-Bell Gardens), leader of the Legislative Women’s Caucus. The bill, introduced Feb. 18, is in committee.
The legislation also will blur the line for traditional boy and girl clothing:
The bill, AB 1084, would give government control over private sector businesses, stating:
This bill would require a retail department store with 500 or more employees that sells childcare items, children’s clothing, or toys, to maintain undivided areas of its sales floor where the majority of those items being offered are displayed, regardless of whether an item has traditionally been marketed for either girls or for boys.
Businesses also would be prohibited from using gender-specific signage in displays.
Exclusive — Democrat Congressman Vicente Gonzalez Reports Thousands in Questionable Interest Income from Bank of China Account
On the second page of his calendar year 2017, 2018, and 2019 disclosure documents, Gonzalez reported the holdings valued at between $100,001 and $250,000 in the Bank of China.
Each report includes a disclosure that Gonzalez earned between $2,501 and $5,000 in interest each year from the Bank of China account.
There are others similar to these in all three reports, but the Bank of China holding seems to pay out the best for the congressman according to the financial disclosure forms.
Gonzalez had signed a letter from the Blue Dog Coalition—a group of self-proclaimed “moderate” Democrats—last May claiming he wanted to be tough on China.
Despite claiming in that Blue Dog Coalition letter that he signed that he would tough on China, when it comes to actual actions in the House like votes on key legislation, Gonzalez frequently sided with the Chinese Communist Party.
ICE now lets illegal immigrants challenge deportations and detentions
The new review process builds on a number of moves that the Biden administration has made since taking office in January, including new rules issued last month requiring ICE officers to make written requests for supervisors’ approval to deport “low priority” illegal immigrants, including drunken drivers, certain domestic assault offenders, identity theft convicts and other felons whose crimes aren’t “aggravated.”
Homeland Security officials did not say the number of deportations they anticipate will be canceled as a result of the new rules. Each case will be judged based on outside factors like family ties, officials said.
The Biden administration’s Department of Homeland Security announced a plan to begin processing an estimated 25,000 asylum-seekers who were forced to “remain in Mexico” under former President Donald Trump.
The immigrants will be released in El Paso and Brownsville, Texas, and San Diego, Calif.
ActBlue Fined for Facilitating Nearly $44,000 in Illegal Contributions
ActBlue, a top platform for Democratic political contributions, was penalized for funneling $44,000 in illegal contributions.
Deborah Simon, a top Democratic funder, and Jim Offield, heir to the Wrigley gum fortune, were among the listed donors in the FEC’s internal referral for violation against ActBlue who had given excessive amounts through the fundraising portal.
This was not the first time ActBlue has been fined by the FEC. The fundraising platform was previously hit with a $12,000 penalty for failing to be in “substantial compliance” with the Federal Election Campaign Act.
Despite the violations, ActBlue has filed FEC complaints against Republican groups, including the National Republican Congressional Committee.
TX gov slams Biden for ‘escalating’ border crisis; deploys Nat’l Guard
“The crisis at our southern border continues to escalate because of Biden Administration policies that refuse to secure the border and invite illegal immigration,” Abbott’s statement read, as KFOX14 reported.
“Texas supports legal immigration but will not be an accomplice to the open border policies that cause, rather than prevent, a humanitarian crisis in our state and endanger the lives of Texans.

The operation will implement air, ground, marine and tactical border security measures to prevent Mexican cartels and others from smuggling drugs and people across the southern border, problems Abbott said have been made worse by the Biden administration.

Myanmar protesters defy curfew; media outlets ordered shut
YANGON, Myanmar (AP) — Demonstrators in Myanmar’s biggest city came out Monday night for their first mass protests in defiance of an 8 p.m. curfew, seeking to show support for an estimated 200 students trapped by security forces in a small area of one neighborhood.
The students and other civilians earlier took part in one of the many daily protests across the country against the military’s seizure of power last month that ousted the elected government of Aung San Suu Kyi.
The military government also placed a major curb on media coverage of the crisis. It announced that the licenses of five local media outlets — Mizzima, DVB, Khit Thit Media, Myanmar Now and 7Day News — have been canceled.
“These media companies are no longer allowed to broadcast or write or give information by using any kind of media platform or using any media technology,” it said on state broadcaster MRTV.
Yemen’s Houthis, Delisted as Terrorists by Biden, Bomb Saudi Oil Industry
The Saudi government said the attack was repelled without casualties or serious damage.
“Such acts of sabotage do not only target the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, but also the security and stability of energy supplies to the world, and therefore, the global economy,” the Saudi energy ministry said of the attack, which prompted a spike in worldwide oil prices Monday.
The Houthis claimed responsibility for the strike and said they attacked military targets in three Saudi cities in addition to the civilian oil facility, describing their apparently thwarted strike as a “broad joint offensive operation” that involved 14 drones and eight ballistic missiles.
The Houthis claimed the attack was successful and “precise” despite reports of zero damage and zero casualties.
Bloomberg News described the attack as “the most serious against Saudi oil installations since a key processing facility and two fields came under fire in September 2019, cutting production for about a month and exposing the vulnerability of the kingdom’s petroleum industry.”
Bloomberg’s description of the attack suggested a deliberate effort to cause civilian casualties in addition to damaging Saudi oil exports:
U.S. and South Korea to stage scaled-down joint military exercises amid pandemic
The joint drill — the first under U.S. President Joe Biden — will run for nine days and will be a “computer-simulated command post exercise,” South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said in a statement.
“South Korea and the U.S. decided to conduct the springtime combined exercise from March 8 for nine days, after comprehensively taking into consideration the COVID-19 situation, the maintenance of the combat readiness posture, the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and the establishment of peace,” the JCS said in a statement.
Restarting the exercises — even scaled-back versions — is expected to help the two allied nations better prepare for any possible contingency on the Korean Peninsula. Still, experts say the North could also use their resumption as an excuse for carrying out fresh provocations.
Andrew O’Neil, an expert on the Koreas and a professor at Australia’s Griffith University, said the odds of short-range ballistic missile launches “are higher than even.”
Switzerland votes to ban face coverings worn by Muslim women to counter radical Islam
The referendum vote amends the Swiss constitution and outlaws the wearing of full-face coverings in public.
According to Swiss Info, the ban on full-face coverings does not affect masks worn to prevent the spread of the coronavirus and burqas and other face coverings worn for religious reasons are still permitted in places of worship.
The Swiss government and parliament opposed the referendum and urged voters to vote against the referendum.
The government offered a counter-proposal that would allow people to wear their face coverings but requires them to show their faces if asked to by authorities, such as at border checkpoints.
If the referendum is rejected, the counter-proposal will automatically be triggered, according to Deutsche Welle.
