Marine biologist relives moment humpback whale saved her from shark

A marine biologist has relived the emotional rollercoaster of a 50,000 pound humpback whale saving her from a shark.
Nan Hauser, 69, talked through the encounter off Muri Beach, Rarotonga, of the Cook Islands, which left her in tears.
The footage has now been released as part of National Geographic’s annual Sharkfest event.
It shows Hauser fearing the whale was going to kill her, before realising that the gentle giant was, in fact, her savior.
Presbyterian Pastor Says Killing Babies in Abortions is a “Blessing” and an “Act of Love”

As she spoke, she wore a bright pink stole displaying the logo of the billion-dollar abortion chain Planned Parenthood, according to the report.
Peters is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA), an Elon University professor and an abortion activist.
She has given speeches and written books and columns for years about why she believes it is moral and ethical to kill unborn babies in abortions.
She told the news outlet that believes it is her duty to counter the pro-life beliefs taught by the Catholic Church and evangelical Protestants.
In the past two years, Peters has given at least 55 similar sermons and lectures, and the Spiritual Alliance of Communities for Reproductive Dignity, a pro-abortion group that she co-founded, hosts training seminars and provides a curriculum to churches that makes a Christian case for abortion, according to the report.
Years ago, Peters said she had two abortions herself. She also volunteered as an abortion clinic escort in Kentucky while working for the PCUSA denomination.

Biden Authorizes up to 3,000 Military Reservists to Be Ready for Active Duty in Europe

Mr. Biden said in his order that he determined “it is necessary to augment the active Armed Forces of the United States for the effective conduct of Operation Atlantic Resolve in and around the United States European Command’s area of responsibility.”
It’s not immediately clear whether the Pentagon plans to actually deploy the reservists any time soon.
Mr. Biden’s order designates Operation Atlantic Resolve as a contingency operation for the first time.
Eighteen states, DC accept ballots after Election Day, with North Dakota’s deadline facing lawsuit

The states and the one U.S. city that accept ballots after Election Day are Alaska, California, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and West Virginia.
The states with the latest deadlines for accepting ballots after Election Day are Illinois and Utah, which are both 14 days.
“Election Day has ceased to be a day,” says PILF President J. Christian Adams. “Instead, we have election month because states accept ballots that arrive days and even weeks after Election Day.
“Not only does this lead to distrust and chaos in the system, but it also violates federal law. PILF is fighting to end this lawlessness and restore the day in Election Day.”

Blue-state business owner forced to take ‘shocking’ action after repeated break-ins: ‘Was out of control’

Aaberg’s Tools & Equipment Rental owner Alexx Bacon installed electric fences to deter criminals after a series of break-ins.
“Obviously people are very scared of it…which is what we wanted. We don’t want anybody getting hurt. We want people staying off our property. That’s why we put the original fence up.
But we had to go to the electric fence as extra security,” Bacon said on “Fox & Friends” Thursday.
HHS’s Levine: Can’t Limit ‘Gender-Affirming Care’ to Adults Because ‘Puberty Is Hard’ Especially if It’s ‘the Wrong’ One

Host Juju Chang asked, “What would you say to folks who think that they’re being reasonable by saying, why can’t children just wait until they’re 18?”
Levine answered, “Adolescence is hard, and puberty is hard. What if you’re going through the wrong puberty? What if you inside feel that you are female, but now you’re going through a male puberty?”
Levine also stated, “Well, gender-affirming care is medical care. Gender-affirming care is mental health care. Gender-affirming care is literally suicide prevention care.” And “The treatment options for gender-affirming care for transgender youth really are evidence-based.”
RFK Jr.: ‘Climate Change Is Being Used to Control Us Through Fear’

The video starts with a quote from Jordan Peterson discussing the “climate apocalypse” narrative.
“I’ve seen the ‘climate apocalypse’ use fear to induce something approximating the same kind of level of tyranny, as far as I’m concerned, that characterized the vaccine lockdown,” Peterson said. “So help me sort that out.”
In response, Kennedy said that the “same people” who orchestrated the pandemic lockdowns are driving the fear-based narrative surrounding the climate.
Kennedy recognized that “warming is occurring,” but he disagrees with the establishment’s way to handle the situation.
Andrew Tate sues his accusers in human trafficking case

The widely followed former professional kickboxer and his brother, Tristan, are seeking at least $5 million in the lawsuit, which was filed in Palm Beach County against the woman, her parents, another woman who lived at the Tates’ Bucharest estate and a male friend of the woman.
The Tates say the five conspired to falsely accuse them of human trafficking and rape, costing them their freedom and millions of dollars in income from their lucrative social media, podcasting and business ventures.
The lawsuit says the woman and her parents are residents of Palm Beach County, which is why it was filed there on Tuesday.
Regime Media Debuts New Tactical Move in Their J6 Coverage After Ray Epps Lawsuit Is Filed

The media hasn’t shown a shred of empathy for any Americans caught up in the politicized sideshow of January 6th — even the nonviolent folks who thought they were on an “approved tour” of the Capitol with friendly police escorts.
The typical January 6th defendant has received zero sympathy from the mainstream media.
It appears that our esteemed journalists believe that anyone who attended the January 6th event is a bona fide insurrectionist who should rot in the depths of a DOJ dungeon, except for one peculiar person: Mr. Ray Epps.
It’s peculiar how Ray has turned into a media darling and regime favorite considering he was front and center during the whole Capitol breach. He was literally calling the shots, leading the charge early on, and pretty much involved every step of the way.
Supreme Court Considering a Case That Might Upend Hundreds of January 6 Prosecutions

And finally, Lang warns that this prosecutorial strategy “will serve to chill political speech and expression on the eve of one of the most consequential events in American life — the election of the next President of the United States.” He says it “falls to this Court to rein in the Department of Justice.”
It’s easy to argue that there is a certain amount of vindictiveness in many of these prosecutions. The question facing the court will be, did prosecutors go too far in fashioning a legal argument to prosecute based on a loose interpretation of a statute that was never meant to cover violence during a riot?
Courts are reluctant to reign in prosecutors, but in this case, there’s a chance the Supreme Court might look to cut the DoJ’s misused freedom of action and bring them down a peg.
For some rioters, it could mean the difference between prison and freedom. For others, taking a 20-year sentence off the table will be, if nothing else, a relief.
NYPD release video of NYC shooting suspects that wounded boys, 3 and 6

Video and photos released by the NYPD early Friday show the two suspects in the shooting inside a Bronx park this week that wounded four people — including two brothers aged 3 and 6.
The duo rolled through St. James Park, at East 193rd Street and Morris Avenue, on a scooter just before 6 p.m. Tuesday, cops said.
One of them then got off the ride and sprayed bullets into hundreds of revelers gathered at the park in Kingsbridge Heights during the warm night, authorities said.
The young brothers — both innocent bystanders — were each stuck in the right half, with the youngest victim suffering only a graze wound, cops and sources said.

Pakistan warns Afghan Taliban against harboring militants

Pakistan’s military chief on Friday threatened the Taliban in Afghanistan with an “effective response” if it does not stop harboring militants who plot cross-border attacks in Pakistan.
General Asim Munir said the army has “serious concerns on the safe havens and liberty of action” allegedly afforded by Kabul to the Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan (TTP), more commonly known as the Pakistani Taliban.
The TTP has in the past claimed responsibility for attacks in Baluchistan province, which borders Afghanistan, and beyond.
Other militant groups active in the region include the so-called “Islamic State” (IS) group and a newly formed group, Tehreek-e-Jihad Pakistan, which claimed to be behind an attack this week that left nine Pakistani soldiers dead.
Mother jailed for murdering young son after poisoning him with her antidepressants and beating him

Toxicological analysis showed the child had been poisoned with Mirtazapine, an antidepressant which was prescribed to Scanlon.
He had been given nine times the amount which would be fatal for an adult.
Scanlon gave family and paramedics numerous different reasons for the bruises, to hide the fact she had beaten and given him her antidepressants.
In the days leading up to his death, Scanlon had sent Dylan’s father abusive messages and voicemails telling her ex-partner he would never see his son again.
Police also found a note in the house suggesting that she had planned to kill Dylan and herself.

The fourth consecutive day of Russian drone strikes came a day after at least two people were killed, several were wounded, and material damage was caused in Kyiv and other Ukrainian regions.
Erdogan says he is in agreement with Putin that grain deal should be extended

Speaking to reporters, Erdogan said that the deal will hopefully be extended from its current July 17 deadline as results of the efforts by the United Nations and Turkey.
The European Commission is helping the United Nations and Turkey try to extend the grain deal and is open to “explore all solutions”, a European Union spokesperson said on Thursday.
The U.N. and Turkey brokered the Black Sea Grain Initiative with Russia and Ukraine in July 2022 to help alleviate a global food crisis worsened by Moscow’s invasion and blockade of Ukrainian ports. Ukraine and Russia are among the world’s leading grain exporters.

French riots make migration a top European issue, resonates in US amid border crisis

It sparked historic violence even in a country known for its regular rioting on issues such as pensions. But these riots have led to hundreds of police officers injured and the destruction of buildings.
An Associated Press tally found that more than 6,000 vehicles have been destroyed and more than 1,100 buildings attacked. France remains on edge ahead of its July 14 Bastille Day celebrations, with firework sales banned out of concern of “serious disturbances” to public order.
It is similar in some respects to rioting seen in 2005 when there were weeks of rioting after the deaths of two teens of African heritage killed at a power station while fleeing police.
But in France and across Europe, the unrest is reviving discussion about immigration, particularly from North Africa and Muslim countries, which became a major EU-wide issue during the 2015 migrant crisis but then largely drifted when COVID-19 hit in 2020.

It said that radiation levels at the plant and surrounding area were normal and that the incident posed no threat to people living in the area.

It said the worker died from a “mechanical injury” caused by a breach in a container of uranium hexafluoride, a chemical compound used in uranium enrichment.
Prescription for Disaster: Europe faces alarming medicine shortages crisis

Overlingas however is not alone, nor is Lithuania. Europe is experiencing a shortage in vital medicines right across the continent.
A recent study by investigative journalist networks the MIIR and the EDJNet on selected EU countries found that shortage duration could amount to between 72-130 days for certain pharmaceutical products.
Medicines treating conditions of the nervous system make up nearly a fifth of all medicine shortages between 2018 and 2023. Treatments for cardiovascular complications and anti-infectives for systemic use make up over a quarter of the market’s shortfall.
While the supply chain shortages have recently been attributed to the COVID-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine by the media, the report highlights that medicine shortages have been increasing for over 20 years.

Jim Jordan investigating possible FBI ‘retaliation’ against GOP staffers

The subpoenas against Patel and the other unidentified House Intelligence Committee staffer were issued during a time when Nunes struggled to compel the FBI and DOJ to turn over documents to his committee as he sought to prove that the government’s Crossfire Hurricane investigation was driven by a dossier funded by Hillary Clinton.
“These subpoenas only came to light in 2022 due to Google’s policy of alerting customers five years after law enforcement takes such action. The timing of these subpoenas raise questions about whether the subpoenas were in retaliation for HPSCI’s oversight of the FBI,” he added.
Jordan noted that Special Counsel John Durham’s May report documenting the FBI’s missteps during its investigation into Trump-Russia collusion allegations “confirms many of the concerns about FBI misconduct advanced by HPSCI in 2017.”

Most Democrats voted against the measure, called the National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal year 2023, as did four Republicans, with the bill clearing the lower chamber in a narrowly bipartisan 219–210 vote.
The final bill includes various routine provisions, such as allowing the purchase of items like destroyers and aircraft, while adjusting inventory requirements for the Air Force.
Passage of the bill in the House sets up a showdown in the Democrat-led Senate, with many pundits predicting an uphill battle.

The bill also bans transgender people from adopting children or establishing guardianship over minors.

Republicans: ‘Unimaginable’ for Biden to Open Obamacare to Illegal Aliens with 25 Million Uninsured Americans

Sens. J.D. Vance (R-OH) and Josh Hawley (R-MO) have joined a number of House Republicans, urging President Joe Biden’s Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra to drop a plan that opens taxpayer-subsidized healthcare benefits to illegal aliens enrolled in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
In April, Biden announced plans to open Obamacare and Medicaid rolls, both subsidized by American taxpayers, to nearly 600,000 DACA illegal aliens.
Former President Barack Obama first created the DACA program via executive order, shielding more than a million illegal aliens from deportation through the years.
The Republicans also noted that Biden’s opening of Obamacare to DACA illegal aliens comes as 25 million Americans remain without health insurance and millions more have health insurance plans that are unaffordable and cover little.
