WATCH: Mitch McConnell Freezes at Podium, Escorted Away by Colleagues

McConnell — who at 81 years of age is the longest-serving party leader in the history of the U.S. Senate — went silent during his opening remarks at his regular press conference, according to video of the alarming moment.
As his tight-lipped, unblinking pause grew longer, Republican colleagues Steve Daines (MT), Joni Ernst (IA), Shelly Moore Capito (WV), Jon Thune (SD), and John Barrasso (WY) showed visible concern.
Barrasso eventually stepped in. “Hey Mitch,” he interjected. “Anything else you wanna say, or should we just go back to your office?”
McConnell did not speak but appeared to recognize he was being spoken to, apparently verbalizing a “Hmm?” and leaning forward. “Do you want to say anything else to the press?” Barrasso reiterated.
At that point, McConnell turned and walked to the side of the podium, guided by Sens. Thune and Barrasso with their hands on his arms.

‘Alarming evidence’ links China’s Communist Party to American K-12 schools, anti-indoctrination group claims

The findings are detailed in a new report dubbed “Little Red Classrooms,” which was sent to 34 governors, key lawmakers and committee chairs on Wednesday.

Families deserve to know who is influencing the American education system so that they can make informed choices about what their children are learning behind closed doors,” PDE president Nicole Neily told Fox News Digital.

It marks the 11th rate increase aimed at combating high inflation since policymakers began tightening in March 2022.
Policymakers also left the door open to additional interest rate increases this year, despite a recent pullback in inflation.

The attorneys for the Justice Department then remarked they weren’t at liberty to divulge additional details about the investigation.

Poland’s military aid for Ukraine exceeds €3 billion

With the latest installment of Western military aid for Ukraine expected in the coming months, Poland’s military support to Kyiv will exceed €3 billion, according to the Polish defense ministry.
Around €500 million worth of equipment is to be sent to Ukraine in the next three months, and Polish government officials reported it had already provided more than €2.5 billion from donating Leopard tanks, MIG-29 fighter jets, 240 T-72 tanks, 54 Krab howitzers, and a multitude of other equipment and ammunition.
The defense ministry refused to list what the latest military aid package for Ukraine contains, but according to the Wall Street Journal, part of the deal is accounted for by MI-24 helicopters. However, little is known about the delivery of Rosomak armored vehicles that the Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki had signaled back in March.
Mention has been made of 150 vehicles as well as 24 Rak mortars and 200 Rosomak armored personnel carriers in two separate batches. It is not clear now, how much of the equipment was ordered new and how much has come from Polish army reserves.

The spy chief made the admission on Wednesday during a televised ceremony to unveil a new postage stamp dedicated to the SBU.
“The destruction of the Crimean Bridge is one of our realizations. I am convinced that the unique special operations carried out by the SBU will give stories for new postal stamps,” Malyuk stated.
The ceremony was attended by the head of Ukrpochta, Ukraine’s national postal service, Igor Smelyansky, who was sporting a T-shirt with a photo of a freight train burning on the Crimean Bridge in the aftermath of the October attack with the caption: “Who will burn bridges if not us? SBU.”

US F-35 fighters arrive in Middle East to deter Iran, assist mission in Syria

The Air Force announced Wednesday that a squadron of U.S. Air Force F-35 Lightning IIs arrived in the U.S. Central Command Area of Responsibility, augmenting A-10s and F-16s that are already in the region patrolling the Strait of Hormuz.
The comes after multiple attempts by Iran earlier this month to seize oil tankers near the strait, prompting a response by the U.S. Navy.
The move to send F-35s is designed to increase U.S. military visibility and give air cover to ships moving through the region, a defense official told The Associated Press in announcing the deployment, which the military hopes will deter future attempts at ship seizures by Iran.
According to the Air Force press release, the F-35 will deliver “increased capacity” to the region and “allow the U.S. to fly in contested airspace across the theater if required.”
The fighters will also be available to help in Syria during ongoing operations against the Islamic State.
Typhoon Doksuri: 4 dead, thousands evacuated in Philippines

Coastal communities were evacuated in preparation for the typhoon’s arrival, but despite these measures, Doksuri tore off tin roofs, flooded low-lying villages, and displaced over 12,000 people as it slammed into a small island and hit several provinces in the region.
The storm, with wind speeds reaching up to 175 kilometers per hour (108 miles per hour), led to overflowing rivers and left thousands without electricity.
“We are being battered here,” Manual Mamba, governor of northern Cagayan province told the Reuters news agency.
The national disaster agency said at least one person drowned in the province of Rizal in the wake of the typhoon.
According to the Philippine coast guard, more than 4,000 passengers were stranded at various ports after sea travel was suspended.

Will Cars & Air Travel Become Luxuries of the Rich?—Andrew Montford on the Push for Net Zero
“We’re all being told we have to have smart meters in our homes…and that will give central government the ability to just switch off appliances in your home, when the wind isn’t blowing.
Now, they don’t like to talk about it very much, but that is what they will do,” says Andrew Montford, the director of Net Zero Watch and author of “The Hockey Stick Illusion.”
‘Green Energy’ Will Be Powered by Taliban Lithium

One of the sales pitches for electric cars and assorted green energy projects was that we’d at least be able to unplug from Middle Eastern oil.
But instead, we’ve become dependent on the Saudis anyway (the Saudis own 5% of Tesla) and, more crucially on China which sells us the junk solar panels and the rare earth metals (obtained through incredibly dirty mining processes that have devastated lakes and poisoned entire villages) to power the ‘clean’ revolution of ‘green energy’.
Now, topping all that, since the United States failed to develop the lithium mines in Afghanistan and since Biden refuses to mine any at home, the Taliban and Communist China will profit from every garbage electric car that the lefties force down our throats in the name of their hoax environmental crisis.
The Taliban have appointed Al Qaeda leaders to key positions including as governors of entire provinces.
Nuristan, where 53 American soldiers held off hundreds of Jihadis during the assault on Combat Outpost Keating, resulting in the awarding of two Medals of Honor and nine Silver Stars for the second deadliest battle of the war, is now under Al Qaeda governance.
Those electric cars that Biden wants to force on all of us, by banning actual cars, every one you buy will fund Al Qaeda.
How Investigative Journalists Have Become Cover-Up Promoters

After the highly touted, shamelessly self-promoted Washington Post “investigative” Watergate journalism, thousands of aspiring young people sought to become, like the legendary Woodward and Bernstein, fearless speakers of truth to power, uncovering corruption and cover-up without fear or favor.
But fifty years later, these supposed investigative journalists have become the corrupt actors whom they promised to expose.
Have our vaunted good guys become dirty cops? It sure looks like it.
While this evolution from clean to corrupt has been proceeding apace for fifty years, there is no better incarnation of this perverse role change than the recent journalism concerning ostensible Biden family corruption.
There is much room for legitimate, good-faith debate about the strength of evidence against Hunter Biden and, separately, his father Joe.
But the debate is properly about the unseemly activities of Hunter and the practiced neglect of same, at the least, by his father.
Whatever the strength of evidence, all of it is ugly, worrisome, problematic. There is no way to sugarcoat this: there is a noisome stench emanating from Bidenville that cries out for further investigation
