Hamas Releases Disturbing New Video Showing Three Female Israeli Hostages

The three women have been identified as 19-year-old Daniella Gilboa, 19-year-old Karina Ariev, and 30-year-old Doron Steinbrecher.

This is the first time they have been seen alive since Hamas gunmen brutally kidnapped them on October 7 in the terror group’s assault into southern Israel, although the two younger captives were seen in footage released earlier this month that showed them on the day they were kidnapped.

Addressing the camera against a beige background, the women said they had been detained for 107 days, suggesting the video may have been filmed on Sunday.

In the five-minute long edited clip, complete with video graphics, the three women identify themselves and ask the Israeli government to return them home.

Europe’s winter of discontent: Farmers block roads to protest low prices, EU Green Deal

(AP Photo/Christophe Ena)

A wave of farmer protests across Europe hit a new peak on Friday as French farmers descended upon Paris, blocked highways across the country with tractor convoys and expressed their anger by dumping and spraying manure at their favorite targets — among them supermarket chains, administrative buildings and fast food restaurants.

The protests in France mirrored others that have broken out in the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Romania and Italy, bringing into sharp relief an array of grievances felt by farmers in the European Union.

Europe’s farmers have lots of gripes but chief among them are soaring inflation, low prices for their goods, red tape, the costs of the Ukraine war, the EU’s ambitious Green Deal rules, cuts to fuel subsidies and a flood of cheap food imports from countries outside the EU with lower standards.

House Speaker Mike Johnson said in a letter Friday that the House will soon vote to make Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas the second Cabinet secretary in history to be impeached.

“When we return next week, by necessity, the House Homeland Security Committee will move forward with Articles of Impeachment against Secretary Mayorkas,” Johnson wrote. “A vote on the floor will be held as soon as possible thereafter.”

Johnson also said the Senate’s draft border and supplemental spending measure was “dead on arrival” in the House if rumors about its contents are true. The Senate proposal hasn’t been released.

Updated: Trafigura Tanker on Fire, Hit by Houthi Missile in Gulf of Aden

A Houthi missile has struck a product tanker operated for Trafigura, the commodity trading firm with the company confirm the vessel is on fire. It is the second report of attacks by the rebel group against tankers today. UK Maritime Trade Organization also confirmed the reports saying assistance is being provided.

UK-based digital solutions provider Vanguard was first to report that the Marshall Islands-flagged Marlin Luanda was struck during the second attack. The vessel is a 110,000 dwt product tanker is traveling from Morocco and reported having transited the Suez Canal last weekend. The AIS signal shows the vessel heading to Singapore.

UK Maritime Trade Organizations confirmed that it received a report saying the vessel was on fire and requesting assistance. They put the location as 60 nautical miles southeast of Aden, Yemen, similar to the location of the first report of an explosion.

Houthis Continue Strikes with Missiles Toward Tankers and U.S. Destroyer

The Houthis continued targeting ships in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden firing several missiles toward both tankers and a U.S. warship earlier today. This comes despite the efforts by the U.S. and UK to degrade the Houthis’ capabilities and as the group vows to continue its attacks until the Palestinians are safe and there is an end to the war in Gaza.

U.S. Central Command reported at midday the Arleigh-Burke class destroyer USS Carney was once again involved in the strikes. They reported that one anti-ship ballistic missile was fired toward the warship from Yemen. The alert says the USS Carney successfully shot down the missile with no injuries or damage, but a Houthi spokesperson on X tried to infer the vessel had been hit.

This latest engagement came as the UK Maritime Trade Organizations and private security firms issued alerts saying two additional missiles were fired with reports from tankers in the Gulf of Aden.

The disclosure comes in the wake of warnings that Nato countries need to ready their citizens for war with Russia.

Every GOP State Attorney General Lines up to Protect Lake City Ammunition from Democrat Attack

Rich Pedroncelli, File/AP

This is not the first time Democrats have sought to curtail ammo sales from Lake City. On February 15, 2015, Breitbart News reported the Obama ATF was pursuing a ban on the popular M855 AR-15 round, and they sought to justify the ban by re-categorizing the round as “armor piercing.”

At the time of Breitbart News’ report, the Obama ATF had launched a 30-day window in which it was taking public comment on the pending ban. On March 10, 2015, Reuters reported the Obama administration ditched the ban after public outcry.

The 28 GOP AGs fighting the Democrats’ current effort to curtail Lake City ammo sales referenced the attempted 2015 ban, noting that it too would have targeted the Lake City plant. However, “massive outrage” stopped the “ATF’s misguided attempt,” according to the AGs, saving the day.

FDA’s New Rule Allows for Medical Research Without Informed Consent

(Madalina Vasiliu/The Epoch Times)

In an effort to encourage the discovery of more treatment and diagnostic options in the medical field, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has finalized a rule allowing certain clinical trials to operate without obtaining informed consent from participants.

The hitch? The study cannot pose more than minimal risk to humans and must include appropriate safeguards to protect the rights, safety, and welfare of those involved.

The rule was issued in late December 2023 and went into effect on Jan. 22, 2024.

Edmonton City Hall Shooter Made Gaza ‘Genocide’ Tape Before Attack: Reports

An Afghan migrant working as a security Guard who allegedly threw Molotov cocktails and opened fire with a long gun at a Canadian city hall is said to have published a wide-ranging video manifesto talking of diverse subjects like “genocide” in Gaza, house prices, and the importance of obeying Canadian law before the attack, reports claim.

Security footage of the incident shows a man carrying a rifle and wearing a security guard’s uniform walking through a City Hall corridor, opening fire, and then throwing the firearm to the ground and walking away.

The newspaper cites comments of the accused man’s employer, a Canadian charity which provides security work to military and police veterans, saying the Afghan migrant was a civilian employee and had been a “good and reliable” worker to this point.

The security guard who apprehended the suspect was praised for his heroism, but he shrugged it off, saying: “‘Well sir, I was just doing my job”.

Georgia rep moves to impeach DA Fani Willis, accuses her of ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’

State Rep. Charlice Byrd (R-Woodstock) said Willis is using her office “not for justice but for political gain” in her prosecution of former President Donald Trump and others over election interference.

Byrd accused Willis of violating the First Amendment by hunting down and indicting conservatives for scrutinizing the 2020 electoral results.

Diagnosing the DA with “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” Byrd also ripped Willis for a potential conflict of interest in light of her alleged relationship with Nathan Wade, who stands accused of using the funds the county paid him to take Willis on luxury romantic leisure trips

Georgia State Senate Approves Subpoena-Powered Probe into Fani Willis

The investigation will be run by a Senate committee, exclusively reported about by Breitbart News on Monday. This follows Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp’s (R) refusal to launch a criminal investigation into Willis, citing the need for a currently non-operational oversight committee to open the probe.

The Senate committee will hold subpoena power to “secure the attendance of witnesses or the production of documents and materials” related to Willis, the resolution put forth by Georgia State Sen. Greg Dolezal (R-Forsyth) read.

The committee, the only type of its kind in the state of Georgia, will comprise nine senators, only three of whom will be Democrats. The Committee on Assignments will appoint members to the committee.

Nolte: 2,681 ‘Journalists’ Lost Their Jobs in Joe Biden’s Economy

And already this year, the far-left Los Angeles Times has announced 115 job cuts, roughly 20 percent of its newsroom staff.

“Layoffs and buyouts have hit a wide swath of the news industry over the past year,” adds the AP. “The Washington Post, NPR, CNN, and Vox Media are among the many companies hit.”

There are two reasons why all of these left-wing outlets are bleeding cash and staff: 1) Biden tanked the economy, and 2) see below…

In other words, the corporate media suck.

UN fires Gaza employees over alleged role in October 7 attack

UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini has launched an investigation into Gaza employees accused of taking part in the October 7 attack (Photo: Getty Images)

In a statement published on Friday, Unwra Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini said that Israeli authorities had provided them with information about the alleged involvement of several staff members in the massacre.

“To protect the Agency’s ability to deliver humanitarian assistance, I have taken the decision to immediately terminate the contracts of these staff members and launch an investigation in order to establish the truth without delay,” he continued.

“Any Unwra employee who was involved in acts of terror will be held accountable, including through criminal prosecution.

A report published last year found that several Unwra-run schools had glorified the October 7 attack, in which 1,200 Israelis were killed and others raped and kidnapped.

The U.S. Navy Won’t Send Littoral Combat Ships to the Red Sea

The United States Navy has deployed multiple warships to the Red Sea to help protect commercial shipping from the Houthi rebels that control parts of Yemen.

The irony is that the Littoral Combat Ship was explicitly designed to operate in littoral waters like the Red Sea – and the program began when the U.S. military was engaged in the Global War on Terror (GWOT) following the September 11, 2001 attacks.

The U.S. Navy continues to be spread thin, and it appears that it has more than two dozen “warships” that aren’t actually fit for a war.

“While MAGA Republicans willfully deny the urgency of the climate crisis, condemning the American people to a dangerous future, my Administration will not be complacent. We will not cede to special interests,” the president claimed.

However, Fox News reported Friday that environmentalists have recently urged officials to make such a move.

“Climate activists have loudly taken aim at LNG export projects in recent weeks, arguing they will lead to a large uptick in emissions and worsen global warming,” the outlet said.

What’s happened since California cut home solar payments? Demand has plunged 80%

Photo by Lauren Justice for CalMatters

The new rule’s impact on the solar industry has been immediate. As many as 17,000 solar workers in California might have lost their jobs by the end of last year, according to industry estimates

“The market is in the gutter,” said Bernadette Del Chiaro, executive director of the California Solar & Storage Association, an industry group. “It should be no surprise to anybody. If you are a business and your market took a 80% nosedive, with great pain you have to lay off. Some companies shut their doors.

“We are talking about the largest solar market in the country,” she said. “This was the most impactful energy decision, easily, for this century so far.”

New California ruling targets pension ‘spiking’ as retirees appeal for relief

Photo of Supreme Court building in San Francisco by Jeff Chiu, AP Photo

Last week a state appeals court affirmed a Ventura County Employees’ Retirement Association’s decision undoing a perk that had allowed government workers to increase their pensions  in a way banned by Brown’s 2013 law.

The changes add up. Ventura’s retirement fund has estimated that some retirees could lose a couple hundred dollars a month once it complies with the pension  law and begins adjusting its vacation “cashout” policy and striking some other incentives, according to the Ventura County Star.

Some of those affected retirees are urging the pension board to instead apply the new rules only to people who left civil service after 2020 — when the state Supreme Court upheld Brown’s law — rather than when the law itself took effect a decade ago. That’s in keeping with policies several other retirement boards have adopted.
