Concerns Escalate Over Delayed CDC Response to Unauthorized Chinese Biolab in California

City of Reedley code enforcement officer Jesalyn Harper, faced with the dilemma of shutting off the lab’s power to prevent a fire risk at the expense of thawing its hazardous contents, reached out to the CDC for guidance.

Harper recounted, “It was a very short-lived and frustrating phone call that ended with them hanging up.” Despite the risk, the decision was made to leave the power on to avoid potentially catastrophic consequences.

Rep. Kevin Kiley (R-Calif.) expressed his determination to understand the CDC’s initial hesitance, questioning the agency’s protocols for addressing public health risks. “They [CDC] didn’t investigate for months and months and months and months,” Kiley highlighted, seeking clarity on the delay in response to such a critical situation.

Further complicating matters, the CDC’s investigation approach, as described by Harper, was limited to items with specific labels, leaving numerous unlabeled or code-marked samples untested. Despite local officials’ willingness to cover testing costs, the CDC did not proceed with further analysis, leaving significant concerns unaddressed.

Final Arguments in Willis Hearing Set for March 1

The hearing, which could see Ms. Willis replaced with a different prosecutor, is set for 1 p.m. and is expected to be live-streamed, as with most Fulton County proceedings.

As an aside, everyone ignores an important facet of this case. Willis and Wade were in contact with and probably guided by the White House and the J6 panel.

Hungary vouches for Swedish NATO membership

Hungary’s Parliament voted to ratify Sweden as NATO’s 32nd member on Monday, clearing the way for the Scandinavian country’s historic move to abandon its legacy of neutrality in international military conflicts. The vote was 188 in favor to six against.

“Today is a historic day. The parliaments of all NATO member states have now voted in favor of Swedish accession to NATO. Sweden stands ready to shoulder its responsibility for Euro-Atlantic security,” said Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson on X, previously Twitter, shortly after the vote.

With Sweden joining the alliance, a significant geographical gap in Northern Europe will close between NATO members and neighbors Finland, Norway and Denmark.

A large chunk of the Baltic Sea, shared with Russia, will also fall in favor of NATO, especially with the Swedish island of Gotland serving as a military bastion in the region. With the Scandinavian country comes valuable naval experience and material that are crucial for the alliance to hold Russia at bay, if necessary.

Thousands of Farmers Continue Protests Across Europe, Demand Action From Ministers

Farmers from across Europe voiced their frustrations through protests on Monday, targeting the European Union’s agricultural policies and demanding action against what they perceive as unfair competition and inadequate pricing for their products.

In a series of demonstrations that saw a border crossing between Poland and Germany blocked, confrontations with police in Brussels, and a significant gathering in Madrid, the agricultural community pressed EU ministers for change.

The protests coincided with a meeting of EU agricultural ministers in Brussels to discuss the ongoing crisis in the sector, following weeks of escalating tensions. The EU has recently made concessions on its Green Deal environmental policies, notably removing a goal to reduce farming emissions by 2040, in response to farmer grievances.

Avast Anti-Virus Company Is Fined for Tracking and Selling User Data

Contrary to the firm’s promise of guarding consumer data against tracking on the web, the FTC claimed that they’ve been acting against their word. They’ve allegedly been gathering and marketing user browsing data unbeknownst to the users, and additionally misleading them.

Tracing way back to the late 1980s, Avast was founded in Czechoslovakia during the Soviet Bloc era. The company’s antivirus and other security software have evolved over the years.

The FTC’s complaint points to Avast Limited, the UK-based entity, and its Czech subsidiary. The agency alleges these entities promised to halt tracking cookies from amassing data and curtail other trackers from following web activity, only to later sell that data to other businesses, a practice that has been in place since 2014 at least.

Family Feud’ murder trial judge booted from bench for ‘utter disregard for the truth’ about ‘bad faith’ reversal in grad party rape case

Tim Bliefnick (via Law&Crime). Center: Judge Robert K. Adrian (via Law&Crime). Inset top right: Drew Clinton (Quincy High School). Inset bottom right: Cameron Vaughan (Inside Edition/screengrab)

A judge was removed from office years after he found an 18-year-old guilty of sexual assault, reversed himself to keep the defendant from having to serve a mandatory prison sentence, and then “lied under oath on multiple occasions” when pressed about his reasoning, the Illinois Courts Commission said.

Law&Crime is naming Vaughan, now 18, because she has spoken publicly about the case and acknowledged double jeopardy issues with bringing Clinton back to court.

Instead of sticking with Drew Clinton’s guilty bench trial verdict for “committ[ing] an act of sexual penetration by placing his finger in the vagina of the victim when he knew the victim was unable to give knowing consent,” Adrian decided to reverse the conviction — but only after considering post-trial motions.

DEA agent accused of taking $250K in mafia bribes, covering for sex-trafficking strip club, helping HS teacher with marijuana side hustle

The federal trial in upstate New York has begun for Joseph Bongiovanni – the former DEA agent accused of providing the Buffalo Mafia with an “umbrella of protection” in exchange for massive bribes.

Bongiovanni, 59, is accused of being a “double agent” who betrayed his badge to take $250,000 in bribes from the mafia to help the organized crime syndicate from getting caught by the feds.

The former DEA agent allegedly would tip off the mafia as to when they were “all clear” and law enforcement was not hot on their tail. Bongiovanni is said to have leaked intelligence to the mafia and opened fictitious cases to make it appear that he was investigating certain mafia members or to claim them as informants. Since Bongiovanni pretended to investigate the Buffalo Mafia, he would receive notice of any time another agency began investigating the criminal organization.

Bongiovanni allegedly encouraged his law enforcement colleagues to spend less time investigating Italians and focus on blacks and Hispanics, “n****** and s****” he purportedly said.

Surveillance video inside the store on Jeweler’s Row in the city’s Loop area on North Wabash Avenue shows the suspect walking around for about a minute before taking off toward the entrance just before 11 a.m. Saturday, WBBM-TV reported.

The male then began to bash a glass case, after which the employee behind the counter pulled out a gun and opened fire at the suspect before he tried to get away, the station said.

Video outside the store shows the suspect getting up, beginning to run off, then stopping and turning around and going back into the store’s entrance to retrieve what appears to be a a bag of some kind.

Commenters responding to the WBBM video on YouTube were not happy about how authorities handled things in the aftermath:

ICE confirms alarming details about the immigrant charged with murdering Georgia college student: ‘Released by the NYPD’

Image source: Clarke County Sheriff’s Office

The shocking incident has ignited nationwide outrage and questions about whether it could have been prevented.

Now we know that Ibarra was no stranger to law enforcement or immigration officials.

One year later on Sept. 14, 2023, police in New York City arrested Ibarra and charged him with “acting in a manner to injure a child less than 17 and a motor vehicle license violation.” Despite the nature of the charges, New York City — a “sanctuary city” — quickly released Ibarra back onto the streets.

When police were searching for Ibarra, they located his brother, Diego Ibarra, who allegedly presented authorities with a fake green card. He was then arrested.

It turns out that Diego Ibarra, who entered the U.S. after his brother, has already been arrested multiple times in the U.S., including for driving under the influence, shoplifting, and failing to appear in court, WSB-TV reported.

Michigan Muslims Take Biden Hostage to Save Hamas

According to Tlaib, who became the only member of Congress to refuse to vote to condemn Hamas rapes of Jewish women, her goal is to “create a voting bloc” to stop Israel’s campaign to take down the Islamic terror group.

The campaign, misleadingly titled “Listen to Michigan,” to pressure Biden into saving Hamas, is being run by Layla Elabed, Tlaib’s sister, and its spokesman is Abbas Alawieh, who had served as Tlaib’s legislative director and then as US Rep. Cori Bush’s chief of staff.

The leading signatory of “Listen to Michigan” is Dearborn Mayor Abdullah H. Hammoud, who, after the Hamas atrocities of Oct 7, had addressed a pro-Hamas rally, declaring that Dearborn was “the city of resistance”.

That same rally featured Osama Siblani, the publisher of the Arab American News weekly, with whom Biden officials had met in an attempt to end the pro-Hamas pressure campaign, and who told the Washington Post in 2003:

Doctors Confirm Vaccine Connection After Young Ontario Woman Paralyzed Following Moderna Shot – Then Offer Her Euthanasia as Remedy (VIDEO)

A young mother’s life has been turned upside down in the wake of receiving her Moderna COVID-19 booster shot, which has left her paralyzed from the neck down, The Canadian Independent reported.

The single mother, known for her active lifestyle, was compelled to get vaccinated to ensure she could continue visiting her father in his long-term care facility.

However, after receiving her booster shot on January 11, 2022, Kayla began experiencing alarming symptoms, culminating in her complete paralysis less than two weeks later. Despite initial skepticism from emergency department staff, an MRI revealed a significant lesion on her spinal cord.

A neurologist, documented on an audio recording, expressed his belief that the vaccine was the likely cause of Kayla’s condition, a view later confirmed with a diagnosis of transverse myelitis – a rare inflammatory disorder caused by damage to the spinal cord.

Venezuelan Migrant Influencer Asks Followers to Support Times Square Shooter

NYPD

Leonal Moreno, a Venezuelan migrant influencer, has asked his more than 300,000 followers on TikTok to “unite” in support of Jesus Alejandro Rivas-Figueroa, the 15-year-old migrant who shot a woman in New York’s Times Square earlier this month.

In his video pleading to his followers, Moreno asked that people donate to pay for Rivas-Figueroa’s (pictured above) legal fees.

“An entire nation [is] on top of him instead of helping him – remember that the young man is going to be released. And he will be released, do you know why? Because he’s underage,” he added. “You don’t know when God is going to put you in a situation like the one this young man is in.”

Moreno closed by asking that people “unite forces so that this child can be free and has an opportunity.”

Microsoft Brags About Paying Minorities More than Whites for the Same Work

Stephen Brashear /Getty

Microsoft toutsin its 2023 Diversity and Inclusion Report its “pay equity agenda,” admitting that racial minorities who are eligible for rewards earn $1.007 in total pay for every $1 white employees earn.

Specifically, the report states that Black and African American employees earn $1.004 and Asian employees earn a higher $1.012 for every $1 earned by white employees with matching job titles, levels, and tenure.

This discriminatory policy follows a trend of major corporations prioritizing diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) over equality.

Disney was recently hit with a federal civil rights complaint for using diversity metrics to determine employee bonuses. The complaint alleges Disney intentionally discriminates against white American men, Christians, and Jews based solely on their race, sex, and religion.

Exclusive: Biden Admin Planted Operative Jeff DiSantis in Fani Willis’ Office to Target Trump, Sources Say

Breitbart News granted the sources anonymity to discuss the attorney’s office for fear of retribution. The sources have direct knowledge of the environment at the District Attorney’s Office, which they characterized as “corrupt.”

One significant figure is overlooked in the Fulton County scandal concerning Fulton County prosecutor Fani Willis and her alleged lover and fellow prosecutor Nathan Wade, the sources said:

Meet Jeff DiSantis — the county’s Deputy District Attorney with professional experience far greater than the average county employee. DiSantis worked on Willis’s 2020 campaign, sources told Breitbart News, and was the former Executive Director of the Democrat Party of Georgia with extensive knowledge of campaign finance law.

Sources credit DiSantis with colluding with the White House to target Trump. “DiSantis did this,” one source told Breitbart News about the Trump case.

“He’s the one. He is the one pulling all the strings. He was the one that walled her [Willis] off. He was in every important meeting. He is the brainchild behind this. That is the connection to the White House.”
