FBI declassifies secret document revealing dramatic development in hunt for origins of Trump Russia probe
A contractor has been accused of making false claims to Congress about the origins of the probe into claims Donald Trump colluded with Russia in the 2016 election.
Nellie Ohr, who worked for strategic intelligence group Fusion GPS, was accused of falsely testifying to Congress in a newly declassified FBI document from 2019.
The allegation, obtained by the Daily Mail, reveals the bureau’s Office Federal Public Corruption squad in Washington was tasked with reviewing a Congressional Criminal Referral accusing Ohr of obstructing an investigation and providing Congress with demonstrably false information.
The document outlines evidence against Ohr and indicates that it is up to the Department of Justice as to whether it might lead to a viable charge.
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley responded to the document’s release with a strongly-worded statement.
‘By lying to Congress, Nellie Ohr showed contempt for congressional oversight and the American people,’ he told the Daily Mail.
A Congressional criminal referral accused Ohr for falsely testifying that she did not have any knowledge of an ongoing investigation of President Trump’s connections to Russia and she denied sharing her research on Russia with individuals outside of Fusion GPS.
Fusion GPS was hired by the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton during the 2016 campaign to connect Trump to Russian organized crime and government interests.
This led to to the infamous ‘Steele Dossier’, compiled by Christopher Steele, that was ultimately shared by the Clinton campaign to Obama administration officials and a select list of journalists. The dossier became a crucial component in the FBI’s covert ‘Crossfire Hurricane’ investigation into supposed Trump links with Russia.
The new document provides details of her testimony that could serve as evidence to charge Ohr with a crime, such as lying to Congress or obstructing a congressional investigation.
Grassley criticized the FBI and Department of Justice for failing to hold Ohr accountable.

‘[T]he FBI and DOJ’s failure to hold Ohr accountable for appearing to commit multiple felonies and its obstructive conduct against agents that sought additional information reveals the agencies’ deeply disturbing political bias,’ Grassley added.

ICE indicts 15 suspected gang members for drug trafficking scheme
Multiple suspected gang members are behind bars after the bust of a drug trafficking scheme using the U.S. mail, a taco truck and homes in the Houston area, Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced.
In an unsealed 29-count indictment, the Justice Department alleges a group of at least 15 people imported methamphetamine from Mexico to the U.S. and then distributed it along with other drugs like crack cocaine, heroin, oxycodone, psilocybin mushrooms and more.
“Several of the defendants are also alleged to have used firearms in furtherance of their narcotics trafficking and illegally possessed firearms despite having previously been convicted of felonies,” said Matthew R. Galeotti, head of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division, in a statement.

HHS Secretary Kennedy threatens to bar NIH scientists from publishing in ‘corrupt’ medical journals
Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr is threatening to prevent National Institutes of Health scientists from publishing in some major medical journals because they are “corrupt.”
Kennedy said Tuesday on the “Ultimate Human” podcast that three of the most influential medical journals in the world – the New England Journal of Medicine, the Journal of the American Medical Association, and Lancet – are “corrupt” becaus they publish studies funded and approved by pharmaceutical companies, Politico reported.
“Unless those journals change dramatically, we are going to stop NIH scientists from publishing in them, and we’re going to create our own journals in-house,” Kennedy said.
The HHS secretary’s comments come after the Department of Justice sent letters weeks earlier to both NEJM and JAMA to investigate them for partisanship.
In a potentially conflicting statement with Kennedy, NIH Director Jay Bhattacharya said earlier this month, “Academic freedom means I can send my paper out even if my bosses disagree with me.”
Kennedy also said the heads of the major journals – including The Lancet Editor-in-Chief Richard Horton and NEJM’s former editor-in-chief, Marcia Angell – no longer consider their publications reputable.
Angell said in 2009 that it “is simply no longer possible to believe much of the clinical research that is published” due to financial ties with pharmaceutical companies, and Horton wrote in 2015 regarding concerns about the replicability of scientific research…

Wild video shows a Miami police officer clinging to the hood of a moving car and firing though the windshield — and it all took place on a busy downtown street in broad daylight Sunday.
Miami Police said a 21-year-old driver hit an officer who was directing traffic, after which the officer shot the driver who was soon hospitalized with multiple gunshot wounds, the Miami Herald reported.
“We know that a vehicle made physical contact with the officer,” Assistant Chief Armando Aguilar of the Miami Police Department told WFOR-TV. “As a result of that incident, shots were fired immediately.”
Cellphone video of the incident shows the officer on his stomach atop the BMW’s hood and firing three shots as the driver turns left. The driver then exits the car and begins to walk across a crosswalk with his hands up. Another video shows officers ordering the driver to roll over, WPLG reported, adding that blood stains are visible on his back before police handcuff him.
The driver has been identified as Menelek Emmanuel Clarke, the Herald said. He was taken to Ryder Trauma Center and was listed in stable condition, WFOR said.
Incidentally, Clarke in October 2023 was charged with aggravated assault on an officer, resisting an officer with violence, and armed trespassing after Broward deputies said he brandished a gun when a deputy told him to leave a Lauderhill park, the Herald said. Mark Griffin was trying to caution police at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 against firing more rubber pellets and explosive munitions into the massive crowd when a police sergeant shouldered a munition launcher and shot Griffin in the left leg with 40mm hard-rubber baton rounds.
The point-blank blast likely from Metropolitan Police Department Sgt. Frank Edwards came seconds after Griffin explained he hadn’t touched the bicycle-rack barrier on the West Plaza as Edwards claimed. “Calm down,” Griffin said.
The officer lowered the weapon slightly, video showed, and shot Griffin. “What are you doing?” the officer spouted. He popped the smoking empty shell out of the barrel and hustled off to reload.
Griffin was in blinding pain. As he bent over in shock, video showed, Griffin was blasted in the face with pepper spray by an MPD officer who reached over the barricade to deliver insult to injury.
Griffin hobbled away with what he later discovered was a massive break of his left femur. The injury cost him nearly a year in recovery.
Griffin long suspected that Sgt. Edwards was the one who shot him. A Blaze News investigation of video appeared to confirm this in late 2024.
Bodycam evidence strongly suggested that Sgt. Edwards fired the shot, but no publicly available video was conclusive. A U.S. Department of Justice trial exhibit — overhead video shot by a journalist — later showed clearly that Edwards most likely was the trigger man….

ICE arrested a Mexican illegal alien in Wisconsin who threatened to assassinate President Trump.
According to Fox News reporter Bill Melugin, in a mailed handwritten letter to an ICE agent, 54-year-old Ramon Morales Reyes said he was angry about the deportations of his family members and said he would use his gun to shoot President Trump in the head at a rally.
“DHS says Reyes illegally re-entered the US at least 9 times between 1998-2005, and has criminal convictions for felony hit and run, criminal damage to property, and disorderly conduct with domestic abuse,” Bill Melugin reported.
DHS Secretary Kristi Noem provided a statement to Fox News:
Thanks to our ICE officers, this illegal alien who threatened to assassinate President Trump is behind bars. This threat comes not even a year after President Trump was shot in Butler, Pennsylvania and less that two weeks after former FBI Director Comey called for the President’s assassination. All politicians and members of the media should take notice of these repeated attempts on President Trump’s life and tone down their rhetoric. I will continue to take all measures necessary to ensure the protection of President Trump.”
NYPD hunts for man accused of beating off-duty cop and stealing his gun, alleged accomplice arrested
The New York City Police Department (NYPD) has arrested one man and is searching for another after the brutal beating of a 27-year-old off-duty officer during a robbery in the Bronx early Saturday.
Wayne Lucas, 23, is wanted in connection with the attack.
New York City Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch confirmed a second suspect, Taveon Hargrove, 23, was arrested in Virginia on Tuesday morning by the U.S. Marshals Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force and NYPD detectives.
Just before 4 a.m., Hargrove and Lucas allegedly forced the off-duty cop to the ground, hitting his face and causing multiple fractures, according to a news release.
They then held a knife to his throat before forcibly removing his wallet and iPhone, according to the release.
Police said Hargrove and Lucas took the officer’s registered gun and ran away.
He was taken by EMS to a local hospital in critical condition.
“In just the past month, we’ve seen some heinous attacks on police officers in NYC, including: one with part of his finger bitten off; another with part of his ear bitten off; and this latest vicious assault resulting in severe fractures to an officer’s face, among too many others,” Tisch wrote in a post on X. …

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced in a press release on Tuesday that an illegal alien was involved in the jet ski accident that killed the teenage woman.
According to authorities, the 21-year-old Gonzalez was riding a jet ski when she mowed over Moore while she was kayaking on Lake Grapevine.
KDFW-TV obtained the arrest affidavit, which claimed that the jet ski was “traveling at a high rate of speed and dangerously close to other people in the water,” according to a summary from the outlet. Witnesses allegedly told investigators that the victim attempted to paddle away from the speeding jet ski before she was violently struck from behind by the speeding personal watercraft.
The news outlet reported that Gonzalez fled the crime scene with fellow illegal alien — 21-year-old Maikel Coello Perozo. Meanwhile, the female passenger who was on the jet ski with Gonzalez remained at the scene and was interviewed by first responders, according to a statement from the Texas Game Wardens.
The pair drove away in a vehicle, then Perozo committed a hit-and-run after striking another car while attempting to leave the area, the Grapevine Police Department stated…

German chancellor promises to help Ukraine produce long-range missiles
Germany’s new chancellor, Friedrich Merz, has told Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelensky that Berlin will help Kyiv produce long-range missiles to defend itself from Russian attack.
“We want to talk about production and we will not publicly discuss details,” he said, when asked by reporters in Berlin if Germany would supply Kyiv with its Taurus missiles.
Merz took office earlier this month, promising to beef up German support for Ukraine, and said this week that there were “no longer” any range restrictions on weapons supplied by Kyiv’s Western allies.
The Taurus has a range of 500km (310 miles) and could reach deeper into Russian territory than other far-range missiles.
Although Merz did not refer to the Taurus by name during his press conference with the Ukrainian leader, he did say a “memorandum of understanding” on long-range missiles would be signed by the German and Ukrainian defence ministers later on Wednesday.
The Kremlin has warned that any decision to end range restrictions on the missiles that Ukraine can use would be a quite dangerous change in policy that would harm efforts to reach a political deal.
However, Merz has since emphasised that a decision on lifting range restrictions was taken by Western allies months ago.

The Trump administration is implementing visa restrictions on foreign nationals with histories of censoring Americans, Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced Wednesday.
“For too long, Americans have been fined, harassed, and even charged by foreign authorities for exercising their free speech rights,” Rubio wrote in an X post. “Free speech is essential to the American way of life — a birthright over which foreign governments have no authority.”
According to the secretary, this new policy “will apply to foreign officials and persons who are complicit in censoring Americans.” Any noncitizen “who work[s] to undermine the rights of Americans should not enjoy the privilege of traveling to our country,” he added.
“Whether in Latin America, Europe, or elsewhere, the days of passive treatment for those who work to undermine the rights of Americans are over,” Rubio wrote.

But Prysma revealed that its business model relied on illegal aliens, in particular, when it hosted a webinar with an immigration lawyer to answer their customers’ questions about the risk of deportation in the days following President Donald Trump’s inauguration…
