Karoline Leavitt suggests cutting funds to Portland after arrest of conservative journalist during anti-ICE riot
“President Trump will end the radical left’s reign of terror in Portland once and for all,” press secretary Karoline Leavitt said at a media briefing Friday. “The president has directed Secretary [of War Pete] Hegseth to provide all necessary troops to protect war-ravaged Portland and any ICE facilities under siege from attack by Antifa and other left-wing domestic terrorists.”
She said that Antifa militants have been attacking the ICE field office in south Portland since mid-June.
“This is not peaceful protesting. This is left-wing anarchy that has been destroying this great American city for years, leaving police officers battered, citizens terrorized, and business properties damaged,” Leavitt said.
“These radical left-wing lunatics have violently breached the ICE facility by using a stop sign as a battering ram,” she added, “hurled explosives and other projectiles at law enforcement, repeatedly assault and doxx officers, berate their law-abiding neighbors, and have even rolled out a guillotine in front of the ICE facility.”
She went on to cite the circumstances surrounding Sortor’s arrest as evidence of the failure of local officials to combat the leftist violence.
“Instead of arresting these violent mob members night after night after night after night who are ravaging this community, the police arrested a journalist who was there trying to document the chaos, and everyone in this room should be extremely concerned about that,” she added.
Leavitt said the Justice Department spoke with Sortor and was launching “a full investigation into his arrest.”
“This incident is part of a troubling trend in Portland where left-wing mobs believe they get to decide who can visit and live in their city. It is not their city. It is the American people’s city, and President Trump is going to restore that,” Leavitt continued.
Leavitt said the president was being advised on what potential federal funds could be cut from Portland over the lawlessness allowed on the city’s streets.
“We will not fund states that allow anarchy,” she said….
Trump issues Sunday deadline for Hamas to accept ‘LAST CHANCE’ peace proposal
President Donald Trump issued a hard deadline for Hamas to accept his recently proposed 20-point peace plan on Friday, giving the terror group until Sunday evening to accept the deal or “all HELL” will break out.
The president unveiled the peace plan on Monday during a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The 20-point peace proposal calls for an immediate end to the war, prompting Israel to withdraw its Israel Defence Forces (IDF) to prepare for the release of all hostages. The proposal demands that Hamas members give up their arms, and would be allowed to remain in Gaza if they “commit to peaceful coexistence.”
The peace plan would then allow for humanitarian aid to flow into Gaza while a transition international body, led by President Trump, establishes a temporary transitional Palestinian committee “responsible for delivering the day-to-day running of public services and municipalities for the people of Gaza.”
Trump’s proposal notes that “Israel will not occupy or annex Gaza,” and that the United States “will establish a dialogue between Israel and the Palestinians to agree on a politican horizon for peaceful and prosperous co-existence.”
The president has attempted to end the war in Gaza since returning to office in January, with his latest proposal being framed as Hamas’ “LAST CHANCE.”

Trump admin freezes $2.1B in Chicago transportation infrastructure funding to investigate ‘race-based contracting’ amid government shutdown
The Trump administration announced that it is freezing $2.1 billion in Chicago infrastructure projects to ensure the “funding is not flowing via race-based contracting,” amidst the government shutdown.
Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Director Russ Vought announced the move in a Friday X post, writing: “$2.1 billion in Chicago infrastructure projects–specifically the Red Line Extension and the Red and Purple Modernization Project–have been put on hold to ensure funding is not flowing via race-based contracting.”
The funding freeze impacts the city’s plan to extend the Red Line train, which would have added four train stops on the city’s South Side.
The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) issued a Friday statement, explaining that it “issued an interim final rule (IFR) barring race- and sex-based contracting requirements from federal grants.”
“To continue implementation of this rule, USDOT today sent letters to the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) to inform them that two projects — the CTA Red Line Extension and the CTA Red and Purple Modernization Program — are also under administrative review to determine whether any unconstitutional practices are occurring. The remaining federal funding for both projects total $2.1 billion,” the statement read.
The statement also referenced additional suspension of funds in New York for the Hudson River tunnel project, as well as a Second Avenue subway line, which amounted to a freeze of roughly $18 billion….
US strikes another alleged drug-trafficking boat near Venezuela, killing 4
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced on Friday the U.S. military conducted a lethal kinetic strike on a narcotrafficking vessel affiliated with Designated Terrorist Organizations traveling off the coast of Venezuela, killing four men aboard.
No U.S. forces were harmed in the U.S. Southern Command operation, which was ordered by President Donald Trump, according to Hegseth.
“The strike was conducted in international waters just off the coast of Venezuela while the vessel was transporting substantial amounts of narcotics—headed to America to poison our people,” Hegseth wrote in an X post.
The secretary said military intelligence, “without a doubt,” confirmed the vessel was trafficking narcotics, the people onboard were narcoterrorists, and they were operating on a known narcotrafficking transit route.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said the boat was “loaded with enough drugs to kill 25 TO 50 THOUSAND PEOPLE.”…

As The World Promotes The Abraham Accords, It Forgets The Abrahamic Covenant
Just over five years ago, on September 15, 2020, The Abraham Accords were signed at the White House. Negotiated during President Donald Trump’s first administration, the signing of the Accords was hailed as a landmark achievement in Middle East relations which many hoped would lead to normalisation between Israel and its historically hostile neighbours. The end goal is to achieve a more integrated, peaceful, and prosperous Middle East with President Trump recently suggesting, with perhaps more optimism than realism, that Iran may eventually become a signatory. However, while the nations of the world continue to put their hopes of peace squarely on the carefully crafted words of The Abraham Accords, many seem to be forgetting that God has His own Abrahamic document that He is working to fulfil. It is known as the Abrahamic Covenant and it is the fountain from which flows all of God’s redemptive purposes for Israel and for mankind as a whole.
Although we do not often use the word “covenant” in our modern language, covenants were an important part of life in earlier generations. What we learn from the Bible is that covenants were generally made between nations and individuals, but a man could even make a covenant with himself, as evidenced by Job. In making a pact with himself to abstain from fleshly lust, Job 31:1 says: “I have made a covenant with my eyes; why then should I look upon a young woman?”
The covenants that God entered into with mankind fall into two categories: conditional and unconditional. As the name suggests, conditional covenants are contingent on conditions being fulfilled, usually related to obedience. Unconditional covenants (of which the Abrahamic Covenant is one) relies solely upon God fulfilling the terms of the covenant. So far as God’s unconditional covenants with Israel are concerned, we learn some key points. First, fulfilment of the covenant depends on God’s faithfulness, not Israel’s. Second, the covenants are to be interpreted literally. Third, they are made with Israel, which requires us to maintain the Israel-Church distinction. Fourth, the terms of the unconditional covenant are not repealed or replaced because of Israel’s sinfulness.
Although promises were clearly made to Abram (as he was still known at the time) in Genesis 12 and 13, a covenant was not formally established until Genesis 15. If you want clarity on the absolute certainty and reliability of God’s promises to Israel, particularly in relation to its land grant, Genesis 15 provides it. Yet, prior to 1948, some struggled to see it, despite the fact that Genesis 17:7-8 clearly confirms its nature as an everlasting covenant through Abraham’s descendants: “And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you. Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.“
In Genesis 15:8, Abraham (Abram) asks God how he will be assured of the fact that God has promised he and his descendants the land: “And he said, ‘Lord GOD, how shall I know that I will inherit it?’” It was not an expression of faithlessness but a desire for confirmation of the divine promise. In response, God affirmed His covenant with Abraham (Abram) in a remarkable ceremony (Genesis 15:9-17), unilaterally committing Himself to carry out the terms of the covenant. Could God be trusted? Of course. Numbers 23:19: “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has he said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” …

As someone who came to faith during the 1970s Jesus Movement, I’m sensing a profound cultural shift in America, reminiscent of that time. Christian media is rising and Bible sales have increased, but something else really exciting is happening.
As I shared on my podcast, young men are leading the charge, rejecting what culture’s been feeding them. And I think it’s time all men rise to the occasion.
The Cultural Pushback Against “Toxic Masculinity”
For too long, men have been sidelined. Terms like “toxic masculinity” and “the patriarchy” have vilified strength and leadership. They have been told the only acceptable thing they can be is soft and weak—and we’re all tired of it.
A New York Times article recently highlighted a historic shift: for the first time in modern American history, young men are more religious than their female peers.
Young men want to hear messages of responsibility, sacrifice, and leadership. They are rejecting culture’s call to be a beta-male and reclaiming the right to be men in the best sense: strong, protective, and loving.
What a Godly Man Looks Like (1 Corinthians 16:13–14)
The Apostle Paul tells us what it means to be a true man of God in 1 Corinthians 16:13–14, “Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love” (ESV):
- Be Watchful: A man is the protector of his home—physically and spiritually. Lock the doors at night, keep an eye out for threats, but also guard against any harmful influences, like television or social media. Be involved in your children’s lives. Be your family’s shield.
- Stand Firm: Lead spiritually. Initiate prayer and Bible study at home. Be the one to say, “We’re going to church.” Too often, women are the ones leading—men, it’s time to step up.
- Be Strong: Strength isn’t just physical; it’s spiritual as well. Jesus, the strongest man to ever live, was “meek and lowly” (Matthew 11:29). Meekness is simply power under control, not weakness. Jesus showed us what true, godly mascuility looked like.
- Act in Love: Tell your wife and kids you love them, accept their love, and demonstrate love. Scripture says “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends” (John 15:13) and “love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church” (Ephesians 5:25). So love sacrificially. One way to do that is by simply keeping your marriage vows.
Jesus was the ultimate man—defending the weak, loving children, serving others. Men should emulate Him.
Now is the time for men to step up and be who God has called them to be. I think when more do, a broader spiritual awakening in America has a chance to take place.
Transgender Would-Be Kavanaugh Assassin Faces Sentencing Today as Government Seeks 30 Years in Prison
The government is seeking a 30-year prison sentence with lifetime supervised release for the accused. Meanwhile, defense attorneys are seeking 96 months or 8 years in prison with 25 years of supervised release.
Roske pled guilty in April of this year. His sentencing hearing is on the docket for 10 am at the United States District Court of Maryland in Greenbelt, Maryland.
In the Government’s sentencing memo, they highlight messages that Roske sent to users on Discord to demonstrate his “terroristic” political motivation. Below are some of the messages:
“Would [Associate Justices’ last name] being removed from the SC help women long term?”
“I was thinking of the Roe decision. I feel like those 9 people make a much bigger impact than most people.”
“what do you think would happen if [last name of Associate Justice] died?”
“Also the right have a 5-4 majority so if one conservative justice dies then it becomes a 5-4 for the left.”
“[I]f a conservative judge were replaced by a liberal judge, thus changing which party has the majority, what would change?”
“The thought of Roe v Wade and gay marriage both being repealed has me furious.”
Further, the government alleges that Roske exhibited “an intent to remove multiple Supreme Court justices through murder” in his messages with another Discord user:
In response to the question “what u tryna do,” Roske stated, “remove some people from the supreme court.”
“[Y]eah but i could at least get one, which would change the votes for decades to come. [A]nd I am shooting for 3.”

Roske also searched online for “countries least likely to extradite to the US,” the “most effective way to silently kill someone,” the insanity defense to excuse his crime by citing his mental state, and other chilling queries involving how to kill somebody with a knife.
However, Roske’s defense argues that eight years in prison is sufficient, excusing his actions for his upbringing, transgender identity, and history of mental health issues. Notably, the defense’s memo appears to subtly blame Roske’s parents for their evangelical upbringing and for creating a “destabilizing” environment, which the defense claims later drove his decision to take his own life in April 2022 after previously attempting suicide at 19 years old…
After Embracing Mass Migration, Europe’s Civilizational Collapse Was Inevitable

On Thursday, the United Kingdom experienced a tragic terror attack when 35-year-old Jihad Al-Shamie allegedly rammed his truck into a crowd at a Manchester synagogue before getting out and stabbing Jewish congregants. Al-Shamie is of Syrian descent and became a British citizen in 2006 after entering the country as a young child, according to Fox News.
The attack — which occurred on the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur — left two people dead and three injured. As later acknowledged by Manchester Police, however, at least one death and one injury were caused by gunfire from law enforcement.
U.K. authorities have “arrested three other people in connection with the attack: two men in their 30s and one woman in her 60s,” according to the Washington Examiner.
While official investigations continue, the tragedy is symbolic of the self-inflicted wound wrought by inept European leaders on their peoples. That is, the mass importation of (particularly Muslim) individuals whose worldview and culture are sharply at odds with the Christian foundations of Western society.
As The Federalist’s John Daniel Davidson recently observed, Britain, as well as its other European counterparts, are experiencing de-Christianization, in which the political elites have pandered to the cultural desires of the “unassimilated Muslim population[s].” At the same time, Davidson noted, these nations have abandoned the Western practices that helped define them as once-exceptional powers.
“Britain’s leaders today are arguably following in Henry VIII’s footsteps. They introduce and favor foreign cultural practices, extend the power of the state over the traditional rights and liberties of the people, and persecute the native British population for dissenting from the forced transformation of their country,” Davidson wrote.
This couldn’t be more true than on the subject of free speech.
The U.K. government has gone out of its way to arrest people who engage in “wrong think” — even comics like Graham Linehan for acknowledging basic biology about sex. (And they’re hardly the only European state to do so.)
Meanwhile, actual threatening actions and atrocities committed by the foreign-born migrant population are effectively swept under the rug as if they never happened.
