Dad claimed newborn’s fatal skull fractures were just ‘an allergic reaction’ that ’caused everything to swell’: Police

A 27-year-old father in Texas is accused of killing his newborn son, allegedly beating the 2-month-old to death and claiming the boy was only hospitalized due to an “allergic reaction.”
Demari Alston was taken into custody last week and charged with one count of capital murder of a victim under 10 years of age in the brutal 2024 slaying of young Zayn Alston, court records show.

Zayn’s mother, 22-year-old Trinity Nyomi Perez, was also arrested on one count of injury to a child resulting in serious bodily injury.
According to court records, Zayn had been severely injured when he was just 10 days old and placed in the care of his maternal grandmother, with the parents being prohibited from being alone with the child or spending the night with him.
The investigation began when Houston Police at about 7 p.m. on Sept. 9, 2024, responded to Memorial Hermann Hospital regarding an infant in critical care after suffering a skull fracture, brain bleed, and retinal hemorrhaging, all of which were “highly concerning for physical abuse.” Zayn succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead on Sept. 11, 2024….
Police said they found “deleted” searches from the night of Sept. 8, that included:
- “2-month-old baby hard to wake up”
- “What happens if your 2-month-old doesn’t have a pulse”
- “Does infant CPR really work? Can it save a baby who has stopped breathing”
- “Will you go to jail if you find your child unresponsive”
- “my 2-month-old died is anyone getting charged”
- “best Houston defense lawyers child abuse cases”
One day after his initial interview with police, Alston allegedly searched, “how to pass a lie detector test,” which he also allegedly deleted.
In text messages between the couple from Aug. 15, 2024, Perez lashed out at Alston about their son’s condition after the boy was with Alston….
“War on ICE” intensifies: Cartels, gangs offer millions for attackers to target federal officers

In an alarming development disclosed by Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, criminal organizations, including cartels, gangs, and terrorist groups, have placed bounties on the heads of specific U.S. immigration agents. Noem revealed this during an interview with Fox & Friends Weekend on October 5. The bounties, ranging from $2,000 for kidnapping to $10,000 for assassination, highlight the increasingly dangerous environment faced by federal law enforcement officers.
A Precedent of Violence and Threats
This disclosure comes in the wake of multiple high-profile threats against political figures, fueling concerns about the escalation of politically motivated violence. Secretary Noem urged caution, emphasizing the need for toned-down political rhetoric to prevent further real-world violence.
The Chicago Standoff and Escalating Tensions
The ongoing confrontation in Chicago between immigration agents and protesters exemplifies the heightened tensions between federal enforcement and local opposition.
Noem describes Chicago as being akin to “a war zone,” blaming Democratic Mayor Brandon Johnson for the animosity her agents are having to contend with. She said local officals are blocking ICE agents from entering municipal buildings, and won’t even let them into government facilities to use the restroom.
On Saturday, Border Patrol agents were rammed and boxed in by multiple cars, then surrounded by a large crowd of hostile protesters, including a woman with a semi-automatic gun. Fox News’ Bill Melugin confirmed that Chicago’s police officers were instructed NOT to help the agents, despite their calls for assistance.
Federal immigration agents reported that a woman drove her vehicle aggressively toward them, attempting to assault the officers. The agents shot the woman, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries and drove herself to the hospital. The incident underscores the dangerous situation faced by law enforcement officers, who are being subjected to increasingly aggressive resistance from individuals and groups opposed to immigration operations.
Noem’s Call for Action and Concerted Strikes
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem highlighted the organized nature of the threats against federal immigration officials, noting that the bounties and the distribution of specific agents’ photographs through criminal networks represent an unprecedented level of danger for those serving on the front lines. Noem emphasized the involvement of designated foreign terrorist organizations, including cartels such as the Sinaloa Cartel and MS-13, further detailing their efforts to undermine law enforcement operations. Secretary Noem also addressed concerns about the funding and coordination behind these hostile actions, stressing the need for immediate federal action to counteract these threats….

Israeli Hostage Families Urge Nobel Committee to Award Trump Peace Prize

The Hostages and Missing Families Forum, representing relatives of Israelis held by Hamas in Gaza, has called on the Norwegian Nobel Committee to award the Nobel Peace Prize to President Donald Trump for his work on a 20-point plan aimed at ending the Israel-Hamas war and securing the release of remaining hostages.
In a letter sent on October 6, the group praised Trump’s ongoing efforts to mediate a ceasefire and negotiate the return of hostages. “President Trump’s determination to bring peace made possible what many said was impossible,” the families wrote in the letter posted to X (view letter). “From the moment of his inauguration, he brought us light through our darkest times.”
The letter describes Trump’s proposal as “comprehensive,” outlining immediate steps to end hostilities, send humanitarian aid into Gaza, redevelop the territory, and secure the release of all hostages—both living and deceased—within 72 hours of Israel’s agreement to the plan. In return, Israel would release 250 prisoners serving life sentences and 1,700 Gazans detained after the October 7, 2023 Hamas attack.
Hamas has reportedly agreed in principle to release all hostages and enter negotiations. “They’re in negotiations right now as we speak,” Trump told reporters on October 5. “They’ve started the negotiations in the last couple of days. We’ll see how it turns out. But I’m hearing it’s going very well.”
The families’ letter also highlighted Trump’s record on international diplomacy, asserting that “no leader or organization has contributed more to peace around the world than President Trump.” They said his efforts to advance peace have produced “tangible results that have saved countless lives.”
“We strongly urge you to award President Trump the Nobel Peace Prize because he has vowed he will not rest and will not stop until every last hostage is back home,” the letter concluded.
Israel has formally accepted Trump’s 20-point peace plan, while Egypt and Qatar are facilitating the negotiations with Hamas….
Judge speaks out after beach mansion exploded, burned to ground, Libs already connect Trump and MAGA

Judge Diane Goodstein’s South Carolina home burned to the ground, and now she’s speaking out.
The inferno shocked the Edisto Beach community, but Goodstein was reportedly “cheerful” over the phone when contacted by Daily Mail.
“I’m alright,” she said, referring any further questions to a “court administrator.” The outlet reports that the circuit court judge was walking along the beach when her home went up in flames in what some are saying is a suspected arson attack. Her husband, former Democrat state senator Arnold Goodstein, jumped from a first-floor window to escape the fire and is said to have suffered multiple broken bones. Two others were reportedly also hospitalized after fleeing the home.
“Several reports said the circuit court judge had received death threats over the past few weeks following her decision to prevent the state from handing over sensitive voter registration documents to the federal government,” DM reported. “Trump’s Department of Justice had requested South Carolina officials turn over the personal data of more than 3.3 million voters, including names, addresses, birth dates, driver’s license numbers and the last four digits of their Social Security numbers.”
“Judge Diane Goodstein’s Edisto Island home burned to the ground while her family was inside. They survived by jumping from windows, three were injured, including her husband, former Sen. Arnold Goodstein, who remains hospitalized,” Mace wrote in her X post. “The fire also killed the family’s pets. If this was targeted political violence or arson, those responsible must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. South Carolina is done tolerating crime, chaos, and cowardice. Justice MUST be served, swiftly and completely.”
Homeland Security Nabs 41 Illegal Aliens at Dallas Strip Club

Law enforcement officers arrested 41 illegal foreign nationals, including 29 suspected of illegally working at a Dallas strip club, as part of a human trafficking and illegal employment scheme investigation.
They did so as the names of two victims of a recent ICE Dallas shooting were announced; both men had extensive criminal histories.
U.S. Homeland Security Investigations Dallas led an investigation into human trafficking and illegal employment at a local Dallas strip club with the support of federal, state and local law enforcement officers.
After criminal search warrants were executed at Chicas Bonitas Cabaret in Dallas, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’ Enforcement and Removal Operations Dallas Field Office agents took 41 illegal foreign nationals into custody. Half, 21, were arrested for illegally working at the club and on administrative immigration violations, ICE said.
Authorities also seized $30,000 in U.S. currency and various business records as part of HSI Dallas’ ongoing criminal investigation into the business.
“HSI Dallas is committed to eradicating the vile scourge of sex trafficking from our local communities,” HSI Dallas Special Agent in Charge Travis Pickard said. “Working in conjunction with our federal and local partners and leveraging HSI’s unique investigative authorities, we were able to disrupt the suspected trafficking operation at this cabaret and are working to identify potential victims.”
While ICE officers continue to process those who were arrested, at least five of them, all Mexican citizens in the U.S. illegally, have multiple criminal convictions, ICE said…..
While Americans Sleep, There Is Concern That Canada, the United Kingdom and Europe Continue to Implement “The Beast System”

Would you like to live in a country where the government could secretly cut off your phone and Internet service if you are accused of spreading “misinformation”? Or how about a country where you must submit to a digital identification system if you want to get a job? We live at a time when our liberties are being eroded in countless ways. If we do not stand up and speak out now, those that are seeking to take our liberties away will just continue to push the envelope. Eventually, we could find ourselves living in a “Beast system” society in which we don’t have any liberties left at all.
A new bill has been introduced in Canada which has some extremely alarming implications.
According to the Canadian Constitution Foundation, this bill would allow the government to “secretly order telecommunications service providers like Telus, Bell and Rogers to stop providing services to individual Canadians”…
The Canadian Constitution Foundation is concerned about the civil liberties implications of the Carney government’s proposed cyber security bill, C-8, which would allow the minister of industry to secretly order telecommunications service providers like Telus, Bell and Rogers to stop providing services to individual Canadians.
The minister would be allowed to make such an order if she has “reasonable grounds to believe that it is necessary to do so to secure the Canadian telecommunications system against any threat, including that of interference, manipulation, disruption or degradation.”
How would you feel if some faceless government bureaucrat decided that you are no longer allowed to have phone or Internet service any longer because you decided to share something on social media that was deemed to be “misinformation”?
The liberal government in Canada keeps telling us how dangerous “misinformation” is, and this bill would allow the government to cut off service based on “any threat” to the Canadian telecommunications system. The following is what section 15.2 of the bill actually says…

Fact Check: How Many School Shootings Have Happened in 2025?

Different definitions of “school shootings” fuel public confusion about school safety and violent crime in the U.S.
Different Data: There are multiple commonly cited sources tracking U.S. “school shootings.” The K-12 Violence Project, run by data scientist David Riedman, has a “K-12 School Shooting Database” counting any incident “when a gun is brandished, is fired, or a bullet hits school property for any reason, regardless of the number of victims, time, or day of the week.”
This tracker has counted 184 school shootings in 2025. EducationWeek (Center bias), a news organization, uses more limited criteria and has counted 11 school shootings in 2025. The K-12 Violence Project counted 330 school shootings in 2024, versus 39 counted by EducationWeek. CNN (Lean Left bias) conducted its own analysis of the data, and concluded that 83 school shootings happened in 2024 as of Dec. 16.
How the Media Covers It: Many sources, especially on the left and center but also some on the right, cite the K-12 Violence Project data when reporting on the “number of school shootings” in a given timeframe. The Washington Examiner (Lean Right bias) is among the sources that use the EducationWeek data. The Daily Mail (Right bias) cited CNN’s data.
Why the Difference: People on the left are generally in favor of gun restrictions and may gravitate toward data sources that emphasize problems with guns. People on the right are generally less supportive of gun restrictions and may gravitate toward data sources that make gun problems seem less severe. This summary will be updated throughout 2025. France’s Macron tasks his outgoing PM with holding last-ditch talks to end crisis
French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday tasked his outgoing prime minister, who had resigned earlier in the day, to hold last-ditch talks with other political parties to try to chart a path out of the crisis.
Sebastien Lecornu had tendered his government’s resignation only hours after announcing his cabinet line-up, making it the shortest-lived administration in modern French history and deepening the country’s political crisis.
It was not immediately clear what Lecornu’s task would entail. France’s constitution allows Macron to reappoint Lecornu as prime minister, should he wish.
Macron gave Lecornu – who will hold meetings with political parties on Tuesday morning – 48 hours.
“The president has entrusted Mr Sebastien Lecornu, the outgoing Prime Minister in charge of day-to-day affairs, with the responsibility of conducting final negotiations by Wednesday evening to define a platform for action and stability for the country,” the Elysee Palace said in a statement….
Video: CBS News on board as Chinese jets intercept Canadian air force plane tracking North Korean ships

Over the deep blue waters of the East China Sea, a Canadian military aircraft surveys the vast expanse below. The CP-140 Aurora, a maritime patrol aircraft operated by the Royal Canadian Air Force, is designed primarily to hunt enemy submarines — but this crew is on a different mission: tracking North Korean vessels engaged in illicit trade that violates United Nations sanctions.
“There are definitely some boats that look more suspicious than others,” Captain Dominic Knerr, the pilot of the Aurora, tells CBS News.
Operating in international airspace over international waters, the mission — known as Operation NEON — takes the plane close to Chinese territory, often triggering a dramatic response by Beijing, which intercepts the Aurora on multiple occasions during its mission while a CBS News crew is onboard.
Operation NEON is Canada’s contribution to a coordinated multinational effort to support the implementation of U.N. Security Council sanctions against North Korea, as U.N. member states seek to apply pressure on Pyongyang to abandon its programs developing weapons of mass destruction.
NEON is an intelligence gathering mission — they take photos, video and log suspicious vessels in the East China Sea, and then share the information with the United Nations’ Enforcement Coordination Cell.
The mission is based out of Kadena Air Base in Japan — the largest U.S. Air Force base in the Asia-Pacific region — known as the “keystone of the Pacific” due to its strategic importance.
During the mission, a Chinese supersonic fighter jet appears and approaches the Canadian air force plane.
Unhappy with the Canadian presence, the Chinese pilot hails Aurora’s captain, who calmly responds: “I’m a Canadian aircraft operating in international airspace, carrying out the duties of all nations.”..
Weeks after Illegal Alien Trucker Kills 3 in Fla., Oklahoma Nabs 125 with Commercial Licenses

Weeks after a criminal illegal alien with a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) killed three people while recklessly driving a big rig on a Florida highway, officials in Oklahoma have apprehended over 125 illegal immigrants with a CDL they did not qualify for, including one listing “No Name Given” on the card.
This is a widespread problem caused by state driver licensing agencies that fail to ensure truckers have proper training or legal status in the United States before issuing the special commercial licenses.
Adding to the problem, many Mexican truck drivers that consistently deliver loads north of the border do not speak English and cannot read American highway signs, endangering public safety across the country.
Nearly 6 million trucks crossed from Mexico into the U.S. last year, according to government figures, and though federal regulations require drivers to sufficiently read and speak English and understand highway traffic signs the Obama administration relaxed the English proficiency rules in 2016 and directed inspectors not to penalize truckers.
Sanctuary states have contributed significantly to the crisis by allowing illegal immigrants to obtain licenses to operate commercial vehicles. The illegal alien from India who killed three people with his 18-wheeler in mid-August had a valid commercial driver’s license from California, a renowned sanctuary state.
His name is Harjinder Singh and he tried to make an illegal U-turn on a busy southeastern Florida highway in his enormous tractor trailer, suddenly blocking all oncoming lanes and causing a brutal accident that instantly killed three innocent people.
Federal authorities say video from inside the truck shows the exact moment Singh decided to break U.S. highway laws as he turned his big rig into traffic. “His face shows no shock or remorse for his actions or the lives he destroyed,” a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) statement says.
The illegal immigrant, who is 28 years old, was charged with three counts of vehicular homicide and recently entered a not guilty plea, according to a local news report that also says Singh first got his commercial driver’s license in Washington state before California…..
Biden admin put American anti-maskers on no-fly list

An investigation conducted by the Department of Homeland Security discovered that multiple Americans who resisted the COVID-19 mask mandates were put on no-fly lists by former President Joe Biden’s administration.
According to Fox News, an internal investigation led by the Department of Homeland Security and the Transportation Security Administration found that Biden’s Transportation Security Administration launched “Operation Freedom to Breathe” in September of 2021 and targeted Americans who had previously resisted the administration’s mask mandates.
As part of the operation, the Biden administration placed Americans who resisted the mask mandates on different watchlists, with multiple Americans being placed on the no-fly list that is usually reserved for suspected terrorists.
Fox News reported that the Biden administration’s operation resulted in 19 Americans being placed on watchlists, with over half of them being placed on a no-fly list. The outlet noted that 11 of the Americans were on watchlists until the Biden administration lifted the national mask mandate in April of 2022.
“Biden’s TSA Administrator [David] Pekoske and his cronies abused their authority and weaponized the federal government against the very people they were charged with protecting,” Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem told Fox News.
“Biden’s TSA wildly abused their authority, targeting Americans who posed no aviation security risk under the banner of political differences,” Noem added. “President Trump promised to end the weaponization of government against the American people, and we are making good on that promise.”
The Post Millennial reported that five senior officials who were associated with the Biden administration’s operation have been terminated by Noem. The secretary of Homeland Security also confirmed that the information regarding the operation would be referred to Congress and to the Department of Justice for additional investigation…..
Wild video shows unhinged driver slam into ICE vehicle in Chicago amid string of attacks

Shocking video captured the moment an unhinged driver rammed into an Immigration and Customs Enforcement vehicle in Chicago amid a spate of attacks on federal agents.
The chaotic scene unfolded when the black SUV was caught on camera suddenly plowing into the back of the ICE truck in the middle of heavy traffic on Saturday, the Department of Homeland Security said.
The driver then chased the ICE vehicle before repeatedly slamming into its bumper in front of shocked bystanders.
Scores of federal agents could be seen drawing their guns in a bid to prevent the driver from fleeing.
It wasn’t immediately clear if the driver was apprehended.
The assault came soon after Border Patrol agents shot a gun-toting woman elsewhere in the city when an angry mob of anti-ICE protesters ambushed federal agents and boxed them in with 10 vehicles.
The woman, Marimar Martinez, as well as another driver, Anthony Ian Santos Ruiz, were both arrested and branded “domestic terrorists.”
“The scene became increasingly violent as more domestic terrorists gathered and began throwing smoke, gas, rocks, and bottles at DHS law enforcement,” DHS said.
Several Border Patrol agents were injured as the violent scenes unfolded, according to authorities.
“These attacks on our brave law enforcement officers must END,” DHS assistant secretary Tricia McLaughlin said…..
Bessent names new CEO for tax collection agency

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, who is serving as acting commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service, created a new position to lead the day-to-day operations of the federal government’s tax collection agency.
Bessent announced that Commissioner of the Social Security Administration Frank Bisignano will serve as Chief Executive Officer of the IRS. In the newly created position, Bisignano will report directly to Bessent. Bisignano will manage the organization and oversee day-to-day IRS operations while continuing to serve as Commissioner of the Social Security Administration.
“Frank is a businessman with an exceptional track record of driving growth and efficiency in the private and now public sector,” Bessent said in a statement.
IRS officials said the IRS and SSA share many of the same technological and customer service goals.
“Under his leadership at the SSA, he has already made important and substantial progress, and we are pleased that he will bring this expertise to the IRS as we sharpen our focus on collections, privacy, and customer service in order to deliver better outcomes for hardworking Americans,” Bessent said.
The IRS has gone through seven leaders so far this year. Last month, U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, called for “stability” at the IRS.
Bisignano previously served as Chairman and CEO of Fiserv, the world’s largest financial services and payment technology company. He also held similar jobs running large organizations that managed sensitive data…..
Ukraine strikes Russian ammo plant, oil terminal and weapons depot in massive drone attack

The Ukrainian military said on Monday that its long-range drones hit a major Russian ammunition plant, a key oil terminal and an important weapons depot behind the front line, cranking up recent pressure on Moscow’s military logistics.
The Ukrainian General Staff said it struck the Sverdlov ammunition plant in the Nizhny Novgorod region of western Russia overnight, causing multiple explosions and a fire. It said the plant supplies Russian forces with aviation and artillery ordnance, aviation bombs, and anti-aircraft and anti-tank munitions.
Ukrainian drones also hit an oil terminal in Crimea, starting a blaze, and an ammunition depot of Russia’s 18th Combined Arms Army, the General Staff said.
Russian authorities acknowledged a major Ukrainian drone attack over 14 Russian regions, as well as the annexed Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea and around the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov. But they gave few details beyond claiming that air defenses shot down 251 Ukrainian drones — making it one of the biggest Ukrainian barrages of Russian territory since the war began more than three years ago.
Gleb Nikitin, the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, said that air defenses fended off an attack by 20 Ukrainian drones on a local industrial zone that includes the ammo plant and that no facilities were damaged…..
Reactionary, Neo-Confederate Portland

In blue cities across America—Portland, Oregon, especially—often violent protesters now seek to surround ICE facilities to stop federal officers from fulfilling their assigned and legal duties of arresting illegal aliens.
Some 10 million or more illegal aliens were allowed to enter the U.S. during the Biden years—illegally and thus without criminal or health checks.
Neither Antifa nor liberal urban America objected to such a flagrant disregard for the law. But both are now as intent on obstructing the legal enforcement of the law as they were earlier in favor of its illegal non-enforcement.
Much less did they care about the consequences of sending millions of foreign nationals into cities and counties where they swamped social services, spiked crime, and flooded emergency rooms and schools.
ICE has repeatedly presented data that show in its first rounds of deportations, it is concentrating on removing either criminal illegal aliens or those who have already been processed with deportation orders, somewhere between 70 and 90 percent of all current apprehensions.
No matter.
Left-wing protesters are swarming ICE headquarters in Portland to violently oppose all deportations, even those of known criminals and those who have already exhausted efforts to remain here illegally.
Why? The Democratic Party apparat knows that the public wants both secure borders and deportations of illegal aliens. Indeed, in part, it lost an election by its open-borders advocacy.
But Democrat officials feel that if street thugs like Antifa can surround and besiege ICE facilities in Portland, Oregon, then deportations will stop. Then, a de facto amnesty will follow for millions who entered the U.S. illegally—and will soon become Democratic constituents.
As a result, they do not fully enforce the law when thugs attack federal law enforcement. Antifa and its spin-off groups favor the night, when they try to block all entries and exits of ICE vehicles and personnel, and can commit their violence with greater anonymity….
