Paid protest CEO urges Congress to pass law exposing who funds demonstrations

The CEO of a company that provides paid protesters for events is asking members of Congress to pass a “Transparency in Political Demonstration Act” that would expose the groups hiring demonstrators to attend events around the U.S.
Adam Swart is the head of Crowds on Demand, a company that, according to its website, provides services “for impactful advocacy campaigns, demonstrations, PR stunts, crowds for hire and corporate events.” NewsNation has obtained the letter Swart wrote to Congress on November 11 demanding greater transparency over who hires protesters.
Swart wrote in part:
“The right to peacefully assemble is one of America’s most sacred constitutional protections. Protests have long advanced justice and reform — but in recent years, we’ve seen the line between authentic civic expression and paid political manipulation blur beyond recognition.
“Across the country, peaceful activism has too often been replaced by coordinated influence campaigns. Most concerningly, many of these campaigns result either intentionally or unintentionally in violence, property destruction, and the mass disruption of American cities through unpermitted road closures.
“While these demonstrations are branded as ‘grassroots,’ evidence increasingly shows large-scale organization and financing behind them, often routed through opaque nonprofit networks designed to conceal true funders—some of whom may be foreign entities with nefarious intentions.”
Swart said his proposed “Transparency in Political Demonstrations Act,” which he calls a “bipartisan effort to protect free speech while ensuring accountability and safety,” is needed for the American people to have full knowledge who is funding and facilitating political demonstrations.
According to Swart’s letter, the TPDA would:
- Require disclosure of funding sources behind demonstrations exceeding a defined number of participants
- Establish a “Public Accountability Portal” where highly funded and heavily attended protest operations must disclose sponsors and subcontractors involved in planning, staffing or logistics
- Ensure foreign entities and intermediaries cannot covertly fund or coordinate demonstrations intended to destabilize domestic institutions
- Hold funders and organizers to a strict nonviolence standard, disqualifying organizations that promote or tolerate violence from certain federal benefits or nonprofit protections
Swart is asking that the “Oversight Committee and the Senate Subcommittee on Federal Spending Oversight review this proposal and hold hearings on the financial and organizational structures behind recent mass protests. I also request the opportunity to meet with committee staff or a potential sponsoring member of Congress to discuss model legislation and implementation logistics.”….
White House exploring options for $2,000 tariff rebate checks

The White House is exploring all of its options for sending Americans $2,000 tariff rebate checks, even as the U.S. Supreme Court considers a legal challenge to the president’s use of tariffs.
“The White House is committed to making that happen,” press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Wednesday. “We are currently exploring all legal options to get that done.”
However, Leavitt said she didn’t have a timeline for mailing the checks, something that would likely require congressional approval.
“The president made it clear that he wants to make it happen, so his team of economic advisers is looking into it,” Leavitt said. “When we have an update, we’ll provide one.”
Earlier on Wednesday, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told “Fox & Friends” the checks could be subject to an income cap.
“Well, there are a lot of options here that the president’s talking about a $2,000 rebate and those – that would be for families making less than, say, $100,000,” Bessent said.
During the same interview, Bessent said that no decision has been made regarding income caps.
This comes after Bessent told ABC’s “This Week” that the tariff rebate “could come in lots of forms.”…
Man allegedly douses ex-wife with gasoline, threatens to set her on fire

In an interview with authorities, Veronica N. said her ex-husband came to her home, made threats, poured gasoline on her and held a lighter, saying he was going to set her on fire, the statement said.
The suspect faces domestic violence charges.
This is at least the third case in less than a month of women in Mexico being burned alive or threatened with such fate by men.
On October 16, in the Mexico City borough of Gustavo A. Madero, neighbors reported hearing screams and seeing flames come out of the home where a 30-year-old woman lived.
News videos posted on social media show firefighters battling a raging fire in a residential structure. They pulled out a woman with burns on 80 percent of her body. She died at a hospital, according to TV Azteca.
A man only identified as Hugo N. was arrested five days later and charged with femicide.
On October 23, a woman identified as Alondra N. was set on fire in Aguascalientes, Mexico, after an argument with her romantic partner. Mexican news outlets quoting state authorities said the attacker put out the flames with a bucket of water, placed the badly burned woman in the trunk of a car, and drove across state lines to abandon her in Zacatecas, naked and with burns in 50 percent of her body.
Mexican authorities on October 29 located and arrested suspect Salvador N. in the northern border state of Coahuila.
Last June in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas, a 30-year-old woman identified as Yuri Cristel was beaten to death allegedly by her romantic partner, who set the body on fire…..
WH rules out building US military base on Gaza border

White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt rejected reports that the United States plans to build a military base near the Gaza border.
On Wednesday, she said the story was based on “a single piece of paper, an inquiry that somebody in the Department of Navy made about an idea that may happen in the future,” which the reporter “deemed as an official plan and ran with.”
Leavitt added that after checking “with the highest levels of the United States federal government,” she confirmed “this is not something the United States is interested in being engaged in or funding.” She emphasized that President Donald Trump “doesn’t want to see boots on the ground” in the Middle East.
Earlier, Israeli media claimed Washington would build a $500 million base near Gaza to oversee the ceasefire’s implementation.
Chaos at COP30 as indigenous protesters force their way into climate summit and clash with security guards

Dozens of Indigenous protesters forced their way into the COP30 climate summit venue on Tuesday and clashed with security guards at the entrance to demand climate action and forest protection.
Shouting angrily, protesters demanded access to the UN compound where thousands of delegates from countries around the world are attending this year’s UN climate summit in the Amazon city of Belem, Brazil.
Some waved flags with slogans calling for land rights or carried signs saying, ‘Our land is not for sale.’
‘We can’t eat money,’ said Nato, an Indigenous leader from the Tupinamba community, who uses only one name. ‘We want our lands free from agribusiness, oil exploration, illegal miners and illegal loggers.’
Security guards pushed the protesters back and used tables to barricade the entrance. A Reuters witness saw one security guard being rushed away in a wheelchair while clutching his stomach.
Another guard with a fresh cut above his eye told Reuters he had been hit in the head by a heavy drumstick thrown from the crowd. Security confiscated several long, heavy sticks.
The protesters dispersed shortly after the clash. They had been in a group of hundreds who marched to the venue.
Security guards later allowed delegates to exit the venue, having earlier asked them to move back inside until the area was clear. Within the compound, the United Nations is responsible for security….
Terror attacks intensify in Pakistan as the TTP continues to operate from Afghanistan

The Movement of the Taliban in Pakistan (TTP) launched two suicide attacks in Pakistan between November 10–11, including a suicide bombing at a courthouse in the capital of Islamabad that killed 12 people. Pakistani government and military officials continued to blame India for the attacks and claim the TTP is an Indian-sponsored terror group.
The first attack, a suicide assault, took place on November 10 at the Cadet College in Wana in South Waziristan, a Taliban hotbed along the border with Afghanistan. According to Pakistani officials, a five-man TTP suicide assault team conducted the attack on the military cadet school. A suicide bomber detonated his vehicle laden with explosives at the gate of the college, creating a breach that the other members of the team used to enter the facility.
The Pakistani military claims to have killed all the members of the suicide assault team. Two attackers were reportedly killed at the gate, and three more were killed on the college premises.
The next day, a suicide bomber detonated his vest outside of a district court in Islamabad, killing 12 people and wounding 36. The bomber detonated his explosives near a police vehicle after failing to find a way to enter the courthouse undetected…..
Hezbollah Attempting To Smuggle Weapons Through Syria, Rebuild in South Lebanon, IDF Says

Latest Developments
- Hezbollah in Breach of Ceasefire, IDF Asserts: The IDF accused the Iran-backed Lebanese terrorist organization Hezbollah of attempting to rebuild its armed capabilities south of the Litani River, in violation of November 2024’s ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel. Israeli military spokesperson Nadav Shoshani said on November 11 that Hezbollah was operating in southern Lebanon while actively smuggling weapons from Syria. Following his meeting with President Donald Trump at the White House this week, Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa claimed that his regime had already taken action against Hezbollah, saying, “Israel has always said it has concerns about Syria because it is afraid of the threats that the Iranian militias and Hezbollah represent. We are the ones who expelled those forces out of Syria.”
- IDF Presses Lebanon To Do More Against Hezbollah: In recent weeks, the IDF has reportedly urged the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) to search private residences in southern Lebanon to locate Hezbollah weapons caches, a measure the LAF has not undertaken until now. Israel’s requests reportedly came during meetings in October of the ceasefire “Mechanism,” the U.S.-led committee facilitating the implementation of the truce. One unnamed Lebanese official said that Israel was “demanding that we do house-to-house searches, and we won’t do that … we aren’t going to do things their way.”
- Hezbollah Leader Condemns IDF Strikes: Hezbollah Secretary General Naim Qassem warned on October 11 that the terrorist organization would no longer tolerate ongoing IDF airstrikes in Lebanon. “Israeli attacks cannot continue; everything has a limit,” he stated while vowing that Hezbollah would “not give up” its weapons. Qassem attempted to frame the LAF’s deployment south of the Litani River as a positive development for Lebanon. “We are winners with the Lebanese army’s presence south of the Litani because they are our sons,” he asserted……

Epstein emails with ex-Obama lawyer claim he stopped talking to Bill Clinton: ‘No conscience’

Deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein ended his friendship with Bill Clinton because he believed the former president was a liar, according to new emails the disgraced financier’s estate handed over to Congress on Wednesday.
The thousands of emails obtained by the House Oversight Committee show that Kathryn Ruemmler, a former White House Counsel to President Barack Obama, had a chummy relationship with Epstein — and the two frequently discussed politics in the lead-up to the 2016 election.
In a Jan. 23, 2016, email, Epstein revealed that he broke off contact with Slick Willy after “he swore, with whole-hearted conviction to me that he had done something, he had forgotten that he also swore the exact opposite to me only weeks before.”
“I will just say I told you so. Not to sound overly dramatic, but he is very close to being a psychopath,” Ruemmler had said earlier in the exchange. “[H]e has no conscience. It’s scary.”
“He obviously said something to you yesterday that was disturbing, and you don’t want to tell me. Just tell me — I can take it. I promise,” added Ruemmler, who was once listed as a backup executor to Epstein’s estate in January 2019, The Wall Street Journal reported…..
Authorities on the Hunt for Rainbow-Flag Vandal Targeting NYC Churches: ‘Anti-Gay Cult’

The suspect, who paired the rainbow flag with a rainbow face covering, is believed to have defaced three different churches in the Queens area on October 5 with what has been described as “anti-Christian” statements.
Video footage shows the suspect first targeting Refuge Church of Christ – an apostolic church – spray painting “anti-gay cult” in the wee hours of the morning.
The suspect then ventured to the nearby church City of Oasis Church of Deliverance – a Pentecostal church – expressing similar sentiments by writing “Anti-gay cult” on the front door. According to New York Daily News, the suspect also vandalized the church with “LGBTQ symbols.”
The suspect, who also worse sunglasses, then targeted the Catholic church St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Church with the words “Welcome Cult Members.” According to the outlet, the suspect also “blackened out the face of a statue of the Virgin Mary and wrote ‘Cult’ on the statue’s base” while spray painting another statue as well:
The pastor of St. Mary’s Star of the Sea discovered the vandalism the next morning, according to the Tablet.
A receptionist for St. Mary’s Star of the Sea and St. Gertrude’s, which is nearby and share the same rectory, told the Daily News in early October that both churches had been vandalized, with someone placing plastic bags over the heads of the statues at both churches.

White House slams Dems’ ‘bad-faith’ Epstein doc release as demand for files intensifies

The White House is firing back after House Democrats released a set of documents Wednesday, detailing previously undisclosed communications from Jeffrey Epstein about President Donald Trump.
“The Democrats selectively leaked emails to the liberal media to create a fake narrative to smear President Trump,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement to Fox News Digital.
In a 2011 email to his associate Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein said Trump had spent a prolonged time at his house with a “victim.”
“I want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is Trump. VICTIM spent hours at my house with him, has never once been mentioned,” Epstein wrote…..
