Traffickers hover nearby, enforcing nightly quotas that can climb to $1,500 as they collect every dollar.
To witness how the operation unfolds, The California Post embedded with Republican gubernatorial candidate Steve Hilton and an anti-trafficking outreach team, whose members requested anonymity due to the sensitivity of their work, as they combed the corridor for missing or exploited girls.
“They don’t keep a cent,” one outreach worker said. “The money goes straight to the trafficker. Then they’re taken back to a flop house during the day, often drugged, sometimes beaten, and sent right back out at night to do it all over again.”
“It is absolutely sickening,” Hilton told The Post. “Right under our noses, children are being sold for sex — and nothing’s happening, nothing’s being done, no one seems to care.”
Hilton has made the Blade a centerpiece of his campaign as Gov. Gavin Newsom prepares to leave office due to term limits, transforming the 2026 contest into a wide-open battle for control of the state.
An Emerson College poll released last week showed Hilton leading a crowded primary field with 17% support among likely voters.
Outreach workers describe the corridor as a human conveyor belt. “A girl can be missing in the afternoon and on this street by nightfall — swallowed up before anyone even knows where to look.”…

On January 22, 2015, Ronnebeck’s son Grant was working as a cashier at the QuickTrip convenience store in Mesa, Arizona, when illegal alien Sinaloa Cartel member Apolinar Altamirano walked up to the counter and demanded a pack of cigarettes.
When Grant told Altamirano he would have to pay for the cigarettes, the illegal alien shot him to death and then stepped over his lifeless body to grab the cigarettes from behind the counter.
At the time of the murder, Altamirano had been living in the United States for more than 20 years. Years later, in 2022, he pleaded guilty to murdering Grant and received fewer than 40 years in prison. He died last year in prison.

Riley is the young nursing student who was attacked and killed during a morning jog on the University of Georgia campus. President Trump chose the date, February 22, because Riley was brutally murdered on February 22, 2024.
“It will be the first event of its kind to honor ‘angel families’ who have had loved ones killed by illegal alien criminals, a White House official told The Post,” the outlet said.
President Trump’s declaration honoring the angel families comes the day before he is set to deliver his State of the Union address on Tuesday evening, according to Fox News.
In the wake of former President Joe Biden’s (D) disastrous border policies that wreaked havoc on American communities and citizens, Trump has worked to secure justice for angel families who were victimized by illegal alien crime.
According to press secretary Karoline Leavitt, “The first bill President Trump signed into law was the Laken Riley Act to prevent these senseless tragedies from happening again and to keep innocent American citizens safe. “While House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) is urging the members of his caucus to challenge the president during Tuesday’s address, he’s also warning them to do so discreetly,” the Hill report stated, adding some Democrats have said they will attend alternate events such as the “People’s State of the Union” event on the National Mall, and the “State of the Swamp” event at the National Press Club.
Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) has said he will not attend Trump’s speech, according to Fox News.

Judge permanently blocks release of Jack Smith’s report on Trump classified documents case
A federal judge on Monday permanently blocked the Justice Department from releasing the portion of former special counsel Jack Smith’s report that details his investigation into President Trump’s alleged mishandling of sensitive government documents and alleged obstruction of the federal probe.
U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon granted requests from Mr. Trump and two of his former co-defendants in the case, Walt Nauta and Carlos de Oliveira, to issue an order prohibiting the release of the second volume of Smith’s report.
The order bars Attorney General Pam Bondi or her successors from releasing or sharing that portion of the final report.
Bondi had already determined that the report’s second volume shouldn’t be released to the public, in part because of questions surrounding the legality of Smith’s appointment as special counsel.
Cannon, who was overseeing the prosecution of Mr. Trump in the documents case, ruled in July 2024 that Smith was unlawfully appointed special counsel and dismissed the charges against the president.
Smith had appealed that decision, but the case ultimately ended after Mr. Trump won a second term in the White House….
