Man gunned down in ER after he, girlfriend had altercation with shooter outside hospital: Police
Aman is dead, and a woman was wounded after a shooter opened fire at them Wednesday night in a hospital emergency room in Tacoma, Washington, KIRO-TV reported.
Tacoma police said the apparent targeted attack took place just after 7 p.m. inside the emergency room of MultiCare Allenmore Hospital on South Union Avenue, the station said……
Police said the couple got into a fight with the suspect outside the hospital prior to the shooting, the station said, after which the suspect followed them into the ER and opened fire.
It’s not clear if the fight prior to the shooting was verbal, physical, or both.
“I know that she’s pretty shaken up because her boyfriend, I guess, like, pushed her out of the way, so she just watched him get shot pretty bad, you know,” the female victim’s uncle told KIRO in an exclusive interview. “I’m more worried about her mental and emotional state right now, more than anything.”
In a statement released Wednesday night, a MultiCare Allenmore official told the station the hospital was on restricted access due to the shooting; by Thursday morning, the hospital was operating normally.
“The emergency department is open for walk-ins, but the waiting room remains closed due to a police investigation,” the statement reads, according to KIRO. “Ambulances are still being diverted.”….

DOJ Seeks Sanctions Against California Immigration Attorney
The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) is requesting a federal court to impose “substantial monetary sanctions” on a California immigration attorney, Joshua Schroeder, for what it describes as “patently meritless filings” in an attempt to prevent the deportation of his client.
The action is reportedly the first of its kind since a presidential memorandum in March directed U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi to seek sanctions against lawyers who engage in “frivolous, unreasonable, and vexatious litigation” against the federal government.
The sanctions motion, filed in the District Court of Guam, targets Schroeder’s representation of Vang Lor, a client from Laos with a decades-old attempted murder conviction. According to the motion, Schroeder filed habeas corpus petitions in three different courts—the District Court of Guam, the Northern District of Texas, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals—claiming that Lor was being deported under the Alien Enemies Act (AEA).
The DOJ’s filing argues that Schroeder’s claims were baseless, stating that Lor was not a Venezuelan national, the group targeted by the AEA proclamation, but was instead subject to removal under the Immigration and Nationality Act due to his criminal conviction. The government alleges that Schroeder’s filings were made “in bad faith” and “for the improper purpose of forestalling Lor’s lawful removal to Laos.”
The motion claims that Schroeder’s actions “cost American taxpayers” by requiring the government to respond to multiple filings and to reschedule Lor’s deportation flight after he was held in custody in Guam for several days.
In the sanctions motion, the DOJ cited the president’s memorandum, which states that the immigration system is “replete with examples of unscrupulous behavior by attorneys and law firms” that impede the government’s ability to enforce immigration laws. The DOJ’s attorneys argue that sanctions are necessary to “deter” Schroeder and other lawyers from similar “misconduct.”….

In the US, winning three terms for one side, it’s almost impossible. It’s very, very tricky to do, whether you see that in politics. In Poland, in the US, it’s the same way.”
Tarczyński credited Nawrocki’s victory to his clarity and honesty: “He was very straight. He was very straight about his policy, about his vision. And, to be honest, globalist government actually helped him,” said Tarczyński. “Because two years ago, we had a parliamentary election. And Donald Tusk took over, important. He lost, but he was able to create a coalition with all these political leftists.”
Posobiec clarified for the audience: “So what this means is the leftists, the pro-globalists, Brussels, they’re in control of parliament right now.”
“At the moment,” Tarczyński replied. “So they created a government, because our system is different, right? We’ve got a president and the government.”
“The prime minister,” Posobiec added.
“Prime minister,” Tarczyński confirmed. “So the prime minister, Tusk, is in charge at the moment. They promised a lot. They lied to the nation. They always do. And they did not deliver. Of course. So it took them 18 months to lose all their hope and support. People said, OK, that’s enough. You promised this, you promised that, you did not deliver. If you lied, you’re going to be punished.”….

ISIS soldiers behead Christians in Mozambique, burning church and homes: ‘Silent genocide’
International observers are reporting that ISIS-aligned soldiers are beheading Christians and burning churches and homes in central and southern Africa – with some of the most brutal attacks happening in the nation of Mozambique.
The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) – a counter-terrorism research nonprofit based in Washington, D.C. – is sounding that alarm about what it describes as a “silent genocide” taking place against Christians.
The Islamic State Mozambique Province (ISMP) recently released 20 photos boasting of four attacks on “Christian villages” in the Chiure district, in Mozambique’s northern Cabo Delgado province, according to MEMRI.
MEMRI said the photos show ISIS operatives raiding villages and burning a church and homes. The images also allegedlydepict the beheadings of a member of what the jihadists consider “infidel militias” and two Christian civilians.
Rampaging jihadist groups celebrated the killings. Photos also showed the corpses of several members of those so-called “infidel militias,” according to the institute’s analysis.
“What we see in Africa today is a kind of silent genocide or silent, brutal, savage war that is occurring in the shadows and all too often ignored by the international community,” MEMRI Vice President Alberto Miguel Fernandez told Fox News Digital.
“That jihadist groups are in a position to take over not one, not two, but several countries in Africa – take over the whole country or most of several countries – is dangerous,” Fernandez, a former U.S. diplomat, said. “It’s very dangerous for the national security of the United States let alone the security of the poor people who are there – Christians or Muslims or whoever they are.”
The Islamic State Central Africa Province (ISCAP) also recently released several photos of their own documenting a July 27 attack against the Christian village of Komanda in the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s Ituri province.
Islamic State-affiliated soldiers opened fire at a Catholic Church and set fire to homes, stores, vehicles and possessions. At least 45 people were killed, according to MEMRI. The photos show burning facilities and the corpses of Christians.
Fernandez explained to Fox News Digital that the goal of these jihadist groups is “eliminating Christian communities,” as they push down from safe havens and Muslims are “given a choice: ‘either join us or you too will face killing and annihilation.’”….
FBI ousts former acting director, agent involved in J6 prosecutions, with more expected
The FBI on Thursday is ousting at least three officials, including the former acting director and an officer involved in the January 6 investigations, Fox News has learned.
Former FBI acting director, Brian Driscoll, is among those being forced out of the bureau, sources familiar with the matter told Fox News, along with Walter Giardina, a special agent at the bureau who played a role in the investigation of Trump trade advisor, Peter Navarro, and Steven Jensen, the acting director in charge of the Washington Field Office.
Driscoll, for his part, served as acting director of the FBI prior to the confirmation of FBI Director Kash Patel, and Jensen played a key role in the January 6 investigations.
Senior FBI officials told the agents in question that they needed to leave by Friday, with no specific reason given to them individually….
US soldier tried to leak info on Abrams tank to Russia: DOJ
A suspect was arrested Wednesday on charges of attempting to transmit classified U.S. national defense information to a foreign adversary. The suspect, Taylor Adam Lee of El Paso, Texas, allegedly sought to export sensitive information regarding the M1A2 Abrams main battle tank to Russia. The Abrams battle tank is a staple of American defense and is the primary American tank in use today.
In a statement, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Texas Justin R. Simmons warned: “Our enemies, both foreign and domestic, should be aware that we diligently investigate and aggressively prosecute these cases.”
Taylor Adam Lee, 22, is an active-duty soldier serving in the U.S. Army with a top-secret security clearance.
A senior FBI official said that Lee attempted to give information on the Abrams tank’s vulnerabilities to Russia in exchange for Russian citizenship. Prosecutors say that he tried to offer his assistance to the Russian Federation in May, and that he promised to volunteer on behalf of Russia “in any way.”
While meeting with an individual he believed to be a representative of the Russian government, Lee repeatedly acknowledged that the information he was handing over was sensitive and was “likely classified,” according to Stars and Stripes.
Lee has not yet entered a plea to any of the charges pending against him, according to ABC News.
Lee is the latest example of American soldiers, analysts or officials who have leaked classified information in recent years.
In April, former U.S. Army intelligence analyst Korbein Schultz, 25, of Wills Point, Texas, was sentenced to seven years in prison for deliberately selling U.S. military secrets to China and accepting bribes from an associate in China in exchange for sensitive non-public information. Schultz leaked at least 92 documents over a two-year period, according to CBS News.
In 2024, Massachusetts Air National Guardsman Jack Teixeira pleaded guilty to leaking classified information on the war in Ukraine to a Discord group chat, including information on Ukrainian troop movements and Ukrainian troops’ weapons supplies. Teixeira is currently serving out a 15-year sentence for those and related offenses…..
FBI will help Texas law enforcement find 51 fleeing Democrats
The FBI agreed to assist Texas law enforcement in locating members of the Texas House of Representatives who fled the state in order to block the approval of a gerrymandered congressional map. Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, made the request on Tuesday and announced it was approved by FBI Director Kash Patel on Thursday morning.
“I thank President Trump and Director Patel for supporting and swiftly acting on my call for the federal government to hold these supposed lawmakers accountable for fleeing Texas,” Cornyn said in a statement. “We cannot allow these rogue legislators to avoid their constitutional responsibilities.”
Cornyn said the lawmakers who fled may have committed crimes, including bribery or other public corruption offenses, by soliciting or accepting funds to pay for their stay. Gov. Greg Abbott and state Attorney General Ken Paxton also made similar accusations.
“Federal resources are necessary to locate the out-of-state Texas legislators who are potentially acting in violation of the law,” Cornyn wrote in his original request to the FBI. “The FBI has tools to aid state law enforcement when parties cross state lines, including to avoid testifying or fleeing a scene of a crime.”
The Texas House of Representatives approved arrest warrants for the 51 lawmakers Monday. The civil warrants give the House sergeant-at-arms and state troopers the authority to arrest the lawmakers and bring them to the Capitol.
But state law enforcement has no power outside state lines and Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker, D, said he would protect the lawmakers who are in his state. ….

The Wall Street Journal reports that President Donald Trump has demanded the resignation of Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan over his ties to China, adding to the challenges facing the struggling chipmaker.

The United States typically conducts a census once every decade. The government last counted residents of the United States and its five territories in 2020, when households could respond online for the first time.
The count historically includes foreign-born residents of the United States, including lawful permanent residents, students, refugees and asylum seekers and people who entered the country without permission.
