Mom who videoed herself suffocating infant until he was ‘blue,’ told friend it gave her an ‘adrenaline rush’ avoids prison

Emma Rigdon, 22, on Friday pleaded guilty to two counts of abuse or neglect of a child. She was sentenced to five years in prison for each count, which will run concurrently, records show.

But a judge suspended the prison sentence and gave her credit for the more than 600 days she’s spent in jail. As part of her conditions of the plea deal, she is unable to contact the victim. She also must take an anger management class.

She’ll be on probation for another three years following her suspended sentence.

probable cause statement said Rigdon pinched and slapped the boy’s leg, which made him cry, cops said. Rigdon recorded herself putting her hand over the boy’s nose and mouth, causing him to have “difficulty in breathing and to flail his arms and legs,” the affidavit stated. She then sent the video to a friend saying in a text message “IDK when I do that I feel happy like adrenaline rush.”

She then made a second video in which she placed a blanket over his facing which made the boy cry and “vigorously grab at the blanket.” Rigdon sent that video to a friend as well, cops wrote…..

Austria: Syrian man beat, imprisoned, and abused his wife and 8 children for years due to religious Islamic motives

A 44-year-old Syrian man living in the Austrian city of Klagenfurt is standing trial for abusing, beating, imprisoning, and threatening his 35-year-old wife and their eight children, aged 5 through 18, for years. The abuse also had religious Islamic motives, according to prosecutors.

In early November, at 1 p.m., police officers were called to the apartment in Klagenfurt due to a noise complaint regarding a family dispute. The 44-year-old husband had allegedly repeatedly punched his wife in the face several times, resulting in injury.

An investigation revealed that the man not only beat his wife that day but had been beating her for years. He had also systematically locked up his children and beat them. For example, he forced his 16-year-old daughter, under threat of assault, not to leave the apartment outside of school hours.

Police determined the man constantly beat his wife and threatened her with death, according to Krone newspaper.

Now, the man is standing trial in Carinthia, and prosecutors are accusing him of subjugating his wife through Islam.

“The mom wasn’t allowed to do anything anymore,” the son told investigators….

Islamic Preacher Vows to Take Germany Back to the Stone Age

Islam is a threat to Western civilization in general, and to women in Western nations specifically.

Just last week, lawyers for an Afghan “asylum seeker” in the U.K. defended him after he raped a woman by saying he wasn’t used to a culture where women are equal and have freedoms.

As this writer warned, the embrace of Islam means women will lose their hard-fought rights if Islam takes over. Then again, the Left is already stripping women of their rights in the name of “trans inclusivity,” so it’s possible the Left doesn’t care. That being said, women need to know what’s in store for them if Islam takes over.

In Germany, an Islamic preacher says women will be stoned for adultery in the European nation once they enact Sharia law.

Here, we also need to remind you that, under Sharia law, a woman who is a victim of rape is considered guilty of adultery and can be stoned.

And the Left embraces him as “diverse.”

But as we’ve seen after the terror attack in Australia, the Left will blame the “far-right” and ban guns before confronting the scourge of Islam……

Report: Meta Profited Billions From China-Linked Scam Ads

A new examination of internal company records has raised fresh questions about how much Meta benefited financially from fraudulent advertising, particularly from China-based clients pushing illegal content onto its platforms.

According to Mediaite, internal Meta documents show more than $3 billion of the company’s advertising revenue tied to Chinese businesses came from scams.

The records indicate that roughly 19% of advertising money from Chinese companies was connected to illegal gambling, pornography, and other content explicitly banned under Meta’s own rules.

While Facebook and Instagram are prohibited for public use inside China, the Chinese government allows companies to advertise to international audiences on the platforms. Those ads have become a significant revenue stream for Meta, accounting for more than 10% of the company’s overall income, or roughly $18 billion.

Meta’s internal reviews also found that more than a quarter of all scam-related advertisements on its platforms originated from China. In response to mounting concerns, employees pushed leadership to take action, leading the company to form a specialized anti-fraud team in 2024.

That progress was short-lived…..

Russia Now Open To Ukraine Joining EU, Officials Briefed On Peace Deal Say

In addition to possible EU membership, Russia might also accept a new security guarantee for Ukraine that provides NATO-like protections as part of the deal, the officials told the DCNF.

U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are currently in Berlin for peace negotiations with European leaders and Ukraine, and are expected to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to discuss the peace talks, the officials said.

“Russia, in a final deal, has indicated they would be willing…to Ukraine joining the EU,” one official told the DCNF.

The officials expressed confidence they have resolved “90%” of the issues between Russia and Ukraine in the new deal, but did not elaborate on the outstanding issues from Russian President Vladimir Putin or Zelenskyy.

Ukraine has said it was willing to give up its NATO aspirations in a peace deal with Russia, marking a major shift from Zelenskyy’s previous position at the start of the conflict. President Donald Trump previously urged the leader to drop his NATO push in August, saying he would end the “almost immediately” if Ukraine gave it up.

Discussions in Berlin with Zelenskyy mainly focused on the U.S. security guarantee, though it is unclear how the new agreement would provide Article 5-like protections in practice and whether the deal would be binding, the officials told the DCNF. The officials also said that involved European nations have expressed approval of the new guarantees….

Obamacare Subsidies Can’t Fix a Broken System. Rand Paul’s Bill Could.

Last week, the U.S. Senate rejected two health care bills intended to resolve the impasse over COVID-19–era Affordable Care Act (ACA), a.k.a. Obamacare, subsidies and, to one extent or another, concerns over the cost of medical coverage. Both were blocked by the near impossibility of advancing anything in that body without 60 votes in support.

The Democrat-sponsored legislation would have kicked the can down the road on Obamacare plans’ inherent flaws by extending “temporary” subsidies for another three years. The Republican bill was a more serious effort that would bring some reform to the system by expanding Americans’ access to Health Savings Accounts (HSAs). But neither is going anywhere right now.

Maybe that’s for the best. Sen. Rand Paul (R–Ky.) proposes better legislation that expands Americans’ access to HSAs and to group health plans offered by all sorts of organizations across state lines.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D–N.Y.) admitted that the Democrats’ bill was a “clean three-year extension of ACA tax credits.” That’s unfortunate, because Obamacare is what the Cato Institute’s Michael F. Cannon describes as “junk insurance at outrageous premiums.”

From the beginning, Obamacare came with built in subsidies for low-income consumers to conceal the program’s expense, and those subsidies remain in place, unaffected by the current controversy.

What’s at stake now are enhanced subsidies, many for higher-income Americans who couldn’t meet the price of the program’s rising premiums during the pandemic years—or now, as they continue to soar.

The program may have been enacted into law as the Affordable Care Act, but the only thing keeping it affordable was a flood of taxpayer money to conceal its true expense. As costs rise, those subsidies have been extended to increasingly prosperous people.

Those subsidies have also become a target for scammers who, the Government Accountability Office found, enroll “consumers in insurance through the federal Marketplace by falsifying information on their applications,” resulting in rampant fraud….

New memos show how corruption probe into Clinton Foundation was killed: ‘We were told NO by FBI HQ

Atop Republican senator has provided Just the News a timeline written by FBI investigators laying out the repeated political obstruction those agents faced from their own bosses and the Justice Department during the 2016 election and beyond as they probed whether Hillary Clinton engaged in a pay-to-play corruption scheme involving her family foundation.

“Field agents were frustrated. But HQ would not let it go forward,” the newly-released and lengthy investigative timeline reveals. “We were trying to explore the [Clinton] Foundation, and we were told ‘NO’ by FBI HQ.”

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley made the records produced to him by FBI Director Kash Patel and Attorney General Pam Bondi available to Just the News this weekend. Grassley’s office said the senator’s request for these records was prompted by whistleblowers who first brought the issue to his attention.

FBI agents tried to get the help of federal prosecutors to determine whether or what crimes occurred while Hillary Clinton served as Secretary of State, most notably, because at that time, her family foundation solicited hundreds of millions of dollars from foreign and U.S. interests with business before her department.

“Shut it down!” then-Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates is quoted as demanding in the shorter timeline of the politicized barriers that agents in New York City, Little Rock, Ark., and Washington D.C. reported. ….

House Republicans’ new health care bill sparks mixed reactions

U.S. House Republicans have finally introduced their own health care plan and have scheduled a vote for this week; however, given Democratic opposition, Congress will likely recess for Christmas after failing to pass any legislation cushioning the blow of rising premiums in 2026.

Most of the provisions in the relatively narrow House bill, which the House Rules Committee will mark up Tuesday, are not inherently controversial.

The Lower Health Care Premiums for All Act includes bipartisan measures like requiring Pharmacy Benefit Manager transparency and expanding Association Health Plans to allow employers across industries to pool insurance plans.

It even provides funding for Cost Sharing Reduction payments, an original provision in the Affordable Care Act. Federal courts had later ruled CSR payments were illegal because the ACA had neglected to properly appropriate funding for the subsidies.

House Democrats, however, will likely tank the proposal because it does not extend the enhanced Obamacare Premium Tax Credit. ….

December 14, 2025 Cover Story Income Tax

In recent days President Trump again floated an intriguing and popular idea: cutting way back on, or even eliminating, the federal income tax.

A quiet rebellion has already been brewing at the state level with some states slashing or even scrapping their income taxes, promising bigger paychecks, booming businesses, and a magnet for population growth.

It may not exactly be a tea party revolution but proponents say state tax cuts are a growth engine that’s helping to reshape America’s map.

In January, Trump RX is scheduled to launch. It will allow people to bypass insurers and other middlemen, and buy discounted drugs directly from manufacturers at up to 80% off list prices. One big difference will come with those popular weight loss drugs like Ozempic or Wegovy and Mounjaro.

They now cost over $1,000 a month. But under Trump RX, cash patients will be able to get them for about $350 a month. Then, by mid-2026, Medicare will cover elderly patients on those drugs for weight loss for the first time—for even less: a $50 co-pay.

Odds are you’ve seen the videos. Clashes, sometimes violent, outside of ice facilities around the country—as president trump’s crackdown on illegal immigrants has sparked passionate protests.

But is what you’re seeing on-air and online, a fair representation of what’s really going on? and are those behind the camera, giving you a fair look? We sent our Scott Thuman to Portland, to find out…

Watch: ‘Landman’ Rips ‘The View’ Hosts Who ‘Hate Millionaires and Trump and Men and You and Me’

In the episode, entitled The Pirate Dinner, the Paramount+ series features a conversation between Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton) and his father, T.L. (Sam Elliott), when the pair begin talking about ABC’s The View, according to Variety.

Tommy ends up ripping the show as “A bunch of pissed-off millionaires bitching about how much they hate millionaires and Trump and men and you and me and everybody else they got a bee up their ass about. It’s pretty funny.”

Tommy’s dad replies, “Don’t sound funny.”

“Well, it ain’t joke funny,” Tommy replies, “it’s like ‘fart in church’ funny, you know what I mean?”

In his typical grumbly deliver, Elliot’s T.L. responds, “That don’t sound funny, either.”

Tommy then says, “Well, it depends on your proximity to the fart.”

Billy Bob Thornton was a guest on the daytime show when Landman premiered in 2024. The series has been hailed as a “conservative” antidote to wokeness on TV….

Father-Son Duo Terror Suspects Reportedly Pledged Allegiance to ISIS Before Bondi Beach Attack

Speaking to reporters on Monday, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said that suspected terrorist Naveed Akram, 24, first came to the attention of authorities in 2019 and had been the focus of a six-month investigation by the ASIO domestic intelligence agency over alleged ties to a local Australian ISIS group.

“He was examined on the basis of being associated with others, and the assessment was made that there was no indication of any ongoing threat or threat of him engaging in violence,” Albanese said per the Sydney Morning Herald.

The paper reported that Akram, who was injured during the attack and remains in police custody, was initially flagged for allegedly accessing extremist content online and consorting with other radicals.

Public broadcaster ABC reported that intelligence officials had tied him to ISIS terrorist Isaac El Matari, who is currently in prison for plotting a jihadist insurgency in Australia…..

Nolte: Rob Reiner Son Nick Arrested on a Felony Charge with $4 Million Bail, Report Says

Hollywood legend Rob Reiner (78) and Michele (68), his wife of 36 years, were found murdered in their Brentwood, California, home Sunday afternoon. Early reports said they had been stabbed to death. Later reports claim the couple had their throats slit.

From the beginning, unverified reports said the couple was discovered by one of Reiner’s grown daughters, who told police to focus on a family member who “should be a suspect” because she considered this person “dangerous.”

People Magazine reported Sunday that the primary person of interest was son Nick, a man with a history of substance abuse problems reaching back to his mid-teens. In 2016, Rob Reiner directed Being Charlie, a feature film co-written by Nick that told the story of a drug addict in a strained relationship with his famous father.

“According to Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department records, Nick was taken into custody and is being held on $4 million bail,” reported People Monday morning. “Sheriff’s Department records online note he is charged with a felony but don’t specify further.”…..

Trial for Milwaukee judge accused of helping illegal alien evade ICE set to begin

Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan’s trial will begin Monday.

Dugan is charged with obstruction of federal proceedings and concealing a person from arrest in connection with Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, an illegal alien who later pled guilty to re-entering the U.S. and no contest to one count of battery.

Dugan is accused of assisting Flores-Ruiz in evading Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents upon learning that they were waiting outside her courtroom to arrest him.

According to court filings, Dugan became “visibly angry” when she learned about ICE’s presence, Reuters reported. She also falsely told law enforcement that they needed a judicial warrant to carry out an arrest, according to the prosecution.

Flores-Ruiz was allegedly shown a side door through which he fled the scene. He was apprehended by ICE agents outside the courthouse after a short foot race…

FBI stops radical pro-Palestinian New Year’s Eve terror plot: Report

The FBI told Fox News Digital that the bureau captured four alleged members of an extremist subgroup of the Turtle Island Liberation Front.

FBI Director Kash Patel described the arrested individuals as members of “a radical offshoot” that is “motivated by pro-Palestinian, anti-law-enforcement, and anti-government ideology.”

According to Patel, the suspects were planning coordinated improvised-explosive-device attacks on New Year’s Eve at five locations across Los Angeles, California.

Federal agents arrested the suspects in Lucerne Valley, where they were allegedly preparing to test explosive devices ahead of the attack, Fox News Digital reported.

The arrested individuals were charged with conspiracy and possession of a destructive device…..
