Concerning the rampant blue state fraud that seems to have no bottom, the Trump administration is already putting Minnesota through the paces. But California has been put on notice that it’s their turn to get the screws.
In early January, President Donald Trump put Gov. Gavin Newsom on blast, as our editor Bob Hoge wrote:
After all, we’ve already got an $18 billion bullet train to nowhere, more billions thrown at the homelessness crisis, even as the numbers just keep increasing, and a governor who lost track of at least $24 billion.
On Tuesday, Trump put the Golden State and its elegantly coiffed governor, Gavin Newsom, on notice: you’re next. As is his custom, the president was not subtle:
His Truth Social post reads:
California, under Governor Gavin Newscum, is more corrupt than Minnesota, if that’s possible??? The Fraud Investigation of California has begun. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP
Newsom with his usual flippant puffery replied, “Well, I think it was, let’s — bring it on. Fraud in terms of child care? Hey, [if] you think for a second anyone countenances fraud. So if he has some unique insight and information, I look forward to partnering with them.”
California Rep. Kevin Kiley (R-CA03), who has been one of the loudest voices in calling out the state’s rampant fraud and working to expose and rectify it, appeared on Newsmax’s “National Report,” and warned Newsom that he should be careful what he asks for.
One area of fraud Kiley did not mention in this interview is the millions wasted through fraudulent financial aid applications. In April 2025, CalMatters extensively investigated this, and reported:
[…] that financial aid fraud was growing and that fake students stole more than $10 million in federal aid and more than $3 million in state aid from California’s community colleges in the prior 12 months — more than twice as much as the year before that. …
The United States may have inadvertently paid for China’s nuclear weapons research.
On January 15, Rep. John Moolenaar (R-MI), chairman of the China Select Committee, sent a letter to the National Science Foundation (NSF) alleging that Chinese universities involved with the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) appear to have credentials for the NSF’s supercomputing systems.
Though maintained by a civilian agency, the Advanced Cyberinfrastructure Coordination Ecosystem: Services & Support (ACCESS) is the primary computing hub for academics working in national security-related fields, including nuclear science and artificial intelligence.
NSF has not yet responded to the chairman’s record request to confirm or refute the committee’s findings. If confirmed, China’s access to these systems directly undercuts U.S. export controls and supports PLA modernization, particularly its efforts to modernize its nuclear weapons infrastructure.
Under NSF guidelines, researchers must be based in the United States to use the ACCESS program, though they can add co-authors and other colleagues based abroad to facilitate shared investigations. The congressional probe, however, revealed that numerous Chinese universities, including the “Seven Sons of National Defense,” have standing access to the program.
NextGov/FCWverified these findings, noting that the National University of Defense and Technology is among the dozens of academic institutions that appear to have access. The National University of Defense and Technology is subject to U.S. export controls for collaborating on chip designs with the Chinese military.
The loophole also appears to undercut longstanding U.S. export controls on supercomputing resources — a key technology in the design, production, and testing of nuclear weapons and used to power frontier AI systems.
The Biden administration had previously moved to block the export of supercomputers to China, introducing a new export control policy in October 2022 specifically designed to prevent related components from flowing to firms and laboratories connected to the Chinese military….
The Stek Oost experiment in Amsterdam was built on a progressive promise: coexistence between Dutch students and refugees would accelerate integration. But Zembla’s investigation suggests the reality was far darker, with students describing sexual assault, stalking and repeated violence, while claiming their concerns were dismissed.
The fundamental concept of the project launched in 2018 was to house 125 indigenous students and 125 refugees under one roof, encouraging students to “buddy up” with migrants to help them integrate into Dutch society. However, students reported threats, sexual abuse and fighting through the years.
According to an investigation by Dutch documentary programme Zembla, the Stek Oost complex is located in the Watergraafsmer district in Amsterdam. Multiple students told Zembla that they experienced sexual assault, harassment, stalking and violence repeatedly in shared living spaces. One female resident said she frequently witnessed fights in the hallways and communal living areas. Another resident described being threatened by a refugee with an eight-inch kitchen knife. Several students also claimed that despite filing multiple reports, their concerns were ignored or downplayed.
One of the most serious cases involved a Syrian refugee who was later convicted of raping two women living at Stek Oost. A former resident, identified as Amanda, told Zembla she initially wanted to help him integrate and agreed to watch a film in his room after he repeatedly asked. She said he then prevented her from leaving and sexually abused her….
“As for the captives, the amir [ruler] has the choice of taking the most beneficial action of four possibilities: the first to put them to death by cutting their necks; the second, to enslave them and apply the laws of slavery regarding their sale and manumission; the third, to ransom them in exchange for goods or prisoners; and fourth, to show favor to them and pardon them. Allah, may he be exalted, says, ‘When you encounter those [infidels] who deny [the Truth=Islam] then strike [their] necks’ (Qur’an sura 47, verse 4)” — Al-Mawardi, al-Ahkam as-Sultaniyyah (The Laws of Islamic Governance).
“FULL LIST: Names of 177 abducted Christian worshippers in Kaduna,” News Express, January 21, 2026:
The identities of the 177 persons kidnapped from ECWA Church and Cherubim and Seraphim Churches 1 and 2 at Kurmin Wali community in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Sunday have been revealed.
The list paints a harrowing picture of entire families taken away from their homes and places of worship, leaving the community traumatised and virtually empty of able-bodied residents.
The raid came barely a week after the same community paid N2.6 million ransom to secure the release of 20 residents previously abducted, Vanguard reliably gathered.
While government and security operatives denied the incident, a Police situation report obtained by Vanguard confirmed the attack occurred during church services.
The report stated that information was received at about 5:45pm, on Sunday, indicating that the assailants struck around 11:25am, firing sporadically and forcing worshippers to flee into the surrounding forest….
Animal rights activists staged a bizarre protest by hanging a woman from her feet outside KFC before pretending to slit her throat in south London.
PETA claimed the demonstration – in front of horrified shoppers – was to highlight the slaughter of chickens by the global fast-food restaurant chain and other Lambeth shops.
A female in a nude-like beige bodysuit had been hung upside down with shackles around her ankles in Brixton Road at 12pm on Wednesday.
She had fake wounds to her legs and was smeared with fake blood even before being approached by a male activist holding a prop meat cleaver.
He then proceeded to simulate cutting the woman’s throat while pretend blood spurted from her neck.
Footage from the scene depicts her letting out fake screams as the “killing” took place.
Justifying the stunt, Elisa Allen, PETA’s vice president of programmes, said: “Chickens are curious, social, and full of personality, and they don’t want to be killed for a fleeting taste of their flesh any more than any human would.
“PETA is encouraging diners to leave chickens in peace, not pieces, by choosing delicious plant-powered foods instead.”
European nations need to reverse a decade of what he called “horrible” decisions to stop “destroying” themselves, US President Donald Trump has said.
Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos on Wednesday, Trump said that while the US wants to see Europe succeed, “it is not going in the right direction.”
He blamed European nations’ uncontrolled migration policies and what he called the “green new scam,” a term he uses to describe green energy policies, arguing that a focus on wind power has driven up energy prices in the region.
“The consequences of such destructive policies have been stark, including lower economic growth, lower standards of living, lower birth rates, more socially disruptive migration, more vulnerability to hostile foreign adversaries,” he said.
European countries need to “get out of the culture that they’ve created” over the past decade, Trump said.
“It’s horrible what they’re doing to themselves, they’re destroying themselves. We want strong allies, not seriously weakened ones,” he said.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio reposted Trump’s remarks on X shortly after, arguing that if the Europeans do not change their cultural trajectory, “they will destroy themselves.”…
US special envoy Steve Witkoff has said he will meet Russian President Vladimir Putin this week to discuss the settlement of the Ukraine conflict.
Witkoff made the announcement while speaking to CNBC on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos on Wednesday. “Well, look, we have to go meet him on Thursday,” Witkoff said, referring to Putin.
He noted that there has been “great progress” in settling the conflict in recent weeks, but said territorial disputes remain the key sticking point.
Witkoff also noted that he would be accompanied by US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner. “Jared and I will leave Thursday night and arrive in Moscow late at night, and then go over to the UAE afterwards for working groups,” he said.
According to Witkoff, the meeting will take place at Russia’s request. “They’ve asked for the meeting. The Russians have invited us to come. And that’s a significant statement from them… So I think everybody is embedded in the process and wants to see a peace deal happen.”
Witkoff said the talks will be based on Washington’s 20-point peace plan. “We’re massaging it and harmonizing it, and I think we’re down to land deals now – that’s been the 800lb elephant in the room – and I think we have some very, very good ideas around that,” he stated.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed Witkoff and Kushner’s upcoming visit. He also noted that “it is important for us to obtain all the information on the discussions between Americans, Europeans, and Ukrainians” and the relevant proposals….
Western-backed investigators in Ukraine have filed criminal charges against nine suspects in an embezzlement scheme involving ‘green’ energy subsidies, allegedly led by a former deputy head of Vladimir Zelensky’s office.
The announcement on Wednesday accused the alleged ring of accounting for electricity deliveries that never occurred from solar farms in Russian-controlled territories. The Ukrainian budget covered the fake supplies under a stimulus program that guarantees renewable energy purchases at above-market rates.
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO), the agencies that filed the charges, estimated the scheme caused $3.3 million in losses.
They said the investigation, which included searches in Germany and Austria assisted by local law enforcement, began after a report by investigative outlet Bihus.
The statement did not name the suspects, but details about the alleged ringleader and the Bihus reference identify him as Rostislav Shurma. He served as a deputy to then-Zelensky aide Andrey Yermak from 2021 to 2024, overseeing the energy sector, and represented the state on the independent supervisory board of energy giant Naftogaz.
The alleged ‘green’ energy scam exposed by Bihus in August 2023 involved five firms linked to Shurma’s brother Oleg. Shurma moved to Austria after leaving his posts but denied wrongdoing…..
Women are casting off the veil, young people are celebrating Halloween, mosques are empty of youth, and surveys show a clear majority supports separating religion from the state. Forty-seven years after the Islamic Revolution, Iran is facing a generation that is turning to its Persian heritage and looking westward.
Nearly half a century after the 1979 Islamic Revolution, Iran has not proven that its ideology offers a cure for society’s ills. The revolution’s two central promises were social justice and political justice — bread and freedom.
Today, Iranians enjoy no more freedom than they did under the shah, and social gaps have remained. The country finds itself at a historic crossroads, locked in a struggle over its character, its identity and the future of the Islamic Revolution.
Modern Iranian history is marked by revolutions and rebellion. Iran is the only country in the Middle East — and one of the few in the world — to have experienced two major revolutions in the 20th century: the Constitutional Revolution of 1906 and the Islamic Revolution of 1979.
Since then, the country has seen a series of protest movements: student protests in 1999, the Green Movement in 2009, waves of unrest in 2017 and 2019, the 2022–2023 protests under the slogan “Woman, Life, Freedom,” and, since late 2025, the most turbulent wave yet. This time, demonstrators are no longer demanding policy changes but calling openly for regime change.
For Iran’s rulers, the Islamic Revolution was not merely a label but an ideal: a revolution in every sphere of life, rooted in Islam. Yet, as with other great revolutions in history, they discovered that utopian means could not deliver their goals and were forced to adapt doctrine to reality.
Three identities
As early as 1988, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini ruled in favor of the supremacy of state interests over dogma, declaring that the government even had the authority to demolish a mosque or suspend core Islamic commandments if the national interest required it. Disputes soon emerged over which interests should take precedence — those of Islam, the state, the regime or the supreme leader — as well as over the relationship between religion and state, policy and national identity.
Iranian identity rests on three pillars: the Persian imperial and monarchical heritage, the Islamic Shiite legacy and the influence of Western culture. The last shah failed to erase Islam’s influence, and the Islamic Revolution failed to diminish Persian civilization or the pull of the West. Constitutionalism, parliamentarianism and nationalism — all of which have become sacrosanct under the Islamic regime — originated in the West.
Today’s young Iranians gravitate toward Western culture and remain loyal to their Persian heritage. In defiance of regime policy, they celebrate the Persian New Year, visit the tomb of King Cyrus the Great, women shed the veil, and youth adopt Western symbols….
The Trump administration is sending major firepower to the Middle East amid the Iranian regime’s brutal crackdown on protests that began in late December.
Iran’s government has resorted to bloody attacks against protesters. Estimates suggest that between 2,000 up to 15,000 protesters have been killed in the regime’s crackdown. President Donald Trump threatened military intervention against Iran’s government on multiple occasions if it continues killing its citizens.
Multiple regional reports revealed that the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group and dozens of fighter jets are racing to the Middle East.
US F-15E Strike Eagles appear to be redeploying to the Middle East as the USS Abraham Lincoln transits the Straits of Malacca. The moves come as the US once again seeks to bolster its posture in the region amid dramatic developments in Iran.
On 16th of January, The War Zone founder, Tyler Rogoway, posted,
“There are not enough assets in the Middle East to execute a sustained campaign that will accomplish anything of huge consequence in Iran.”
He explained that the US would need to build up resources, and this would take time.
According to open-source reporting, tracking the movements of mostly US military aircraft, the buildup of air assets in the Middle East for a possible strike on Iran has begun.
So far, the two most notable developments have been the redeployment of US Air Force F-15E fighter jets from their base at RAF Lakenheath in the United Kingdom and the redeployment of an aircraft carrier. OSINT account, Armchair Admiral, stated the F-15Es were likely redeployed to Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan.
Speaking of the redeployment of the first 12 F-15Es, Armchair Admiral said, “This is what looks to be the first major movement of the U.S. build-up in the Middle East. I expect we’ll see more modern aircraft deployed soon. My own prediction was Lakenheath F-35s, but it’s not too late for that.”
The carrier could be close to arriving at its destination in the Persian Gulf. The move is seen as an indication that the U.S. is poised to carry out airstrikes against the Iranian regime to aid the protesters.
Israeli media is framing the Lincoln’s arrival as a critical inflection point in the tensions between Washington and Tehran. “As the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln makes its way toward the Persian Gulf, the decisive moment between the US and Iran draws closer,” according to Israel Hayom….
Just hundreds of protesters showed up in Downtown Los Angeles on Tuesday for what organizers hyped as a massive “Free America Walkout” against President Donald Trump’s second term.
“Has protest fatigue officially hit Los Angeles?” posted one commenter on X. “Organizers for the latest TDS fueled temper tantrum, the ‘Free America Walkout’ can barely get a couple of hundred people to march against fascism, ICE, and all other things President Trump related.”
The walkout, which took place at various locations in SoCal, planned to see thousands of people leave work, school and shops at 2 p.m. across the United States.
This is the second major protest of Trump’s administration in 2026. The first protest called for an end to ICE raids.
Organizers of the walkout asked people to join in protest against: “ICE raids on our communities, troops occupying our cities, families torn apart, attacks on our trans siblings, mass surveillance and terror used to keep us silent.”
The crowd met in front of Los Angeles City Hall and then marched slowly through the Downtown area.
Gunfire echoed through Tehran on Tuesday as heavily armed militias were deployed across the Iranian capital, transforming some districts into fortified zones under intense security.
Video footage showed bursts of automatic weapons after dark as government buildings, state media sites, and major intersections were reportedly placed under guard, with armored pickups and masked fighters patrolling the streets in Toyotas.
The trucks were mounted with heavy machine guns and were moving in convoys with weapons firing into the darkness as armed men shouted commands.
In the video, large-caliber guns can be heard rattling as vehicles maneuver through urban streets.
“There has been a deployment of dozens of Toyotas mounted with heavy machine guns and other heavy weapons in Tehran,” Ali Safavi, a senior official with the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), told Fox News Digital.
“They are reportedly being used by elements linked to Lebanese Hezbollah and Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces,” he said.
“Their commander speaks in Farsi, and these fighters are Iraqi Hashd al-Sha’bi, Popular Mobilization Force, and Hezbollah fighters who have joined the IRGC. The IRGC are their commanders, and you can hear them shouting in Farsi.”
According to Safavi, the Iranian regime has increasingly relied on foreign proxy forces to maintain control of the capital….

Juan Alvarado Aguilar, an illegal alien who is subject to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer, has been arrested and charged in Rowan County with two counts of felony death by a vehicle and one count of drunk driving.
Aguilar, according to police, was driving a truck when he crossed lanes and hit Harris, who was driving, and Provenza, who was sitting in the front passenger seat — killing them both at the scene of the crash.
Harris, a student at Catawba College, was a rising star soccer player and was a double major in biology and environmental studies. Harris was continuously on the Presidential Honor Roll and Dean’s List.
Prosecutors in the case say Aguilar had prior run-ins with the law, but was not turned over to ICE agents. Aguilar had two previous failures to appear in court and a previous drunk driving charge….
Navarro was sentenced on January 24, 2024, to four months in prison for refusing to appear before the U.S. Congress to give testimony and produce documents as required by a subpoena he received from the Democrat-led Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol.
In April 2025 Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) issued a letter to the Justice Department and FBI pointing out the results of an initial search into the FBI’s political weaponization against Navarro. In May 2025 Grassley released a few FBI emails showing Biden FBI agents planning and celebrating the indictment of Navarro.
“The politicization of the Justice Department and FBI against President Trump and his advisors is a disgrace,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said. “The lives of outstanding public servants were derailed.”
Judicial Watch has actively pursued transparency for the lawfare waged against Trump…..
In March 2025, Judicial Watch sued the Justice Department for details of any investigations, inquiries, or referrals concerning potential misconduct of any person working for Special Counsel Jack Smith (Judicial Watch Inc. v U.S. Department of Justice (No. 1:25-cv-00801)).
Also in March, Georgia District Attorney Fani Willis was ordered to turn over 212 pages of records to a state court judge. The court also ordered Willis to detail how the records were found and the reason for withholding them from the public. The records were belatedly disclosed in response to a Judicial Watch request and lawsuit for communications with Special Counsel Jack Smith and the House January 6 Committee.
In January, Judicial Watch was awarded $21,578 for “attorney’s fees and costs” incurred in the case. The court previously found Willis in default and stated: “The Court finds Defendant [Willis, in her official capacity] is in default and has been since 11 April 2024” (Judicial Watch Inc. v. Fani Willis et al. (No. 24-CV-002805)).
In January 2025, a federal court ordered the Justice Department to provide Judicial Watch information on communications between Special Counsel Jack Smith and Willis regarding the prosecution of then-former President Donald Trump. In May, the Justice Department was directed to search text messages from the Special Counsel’s Office for responsive records (Judicial Watch v U.S. Department of Justice (No. 23-cv-03110).
In January 2025, records from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) showed it and the FBI warning that law enforcement agencies should be prepared for a surge in threats from so-called Domestic Violence Extremists (DVEs) following the August 8, 2022, FBI raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida (Judicial Watch Inc. v U.S. Department of Homeland Security (1:22-cv-03275)).
In May 2024, Judicial Watch uncovered a recording of a phone message left by an FBI special agent for someone at the Secret Service in the context of the raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home (Judicial Watch Inc. v. U.S Department of Homeland Security(No. 1:22-cv-03147))…..
