Manhunt for Escaped Murderer Continues: Sister Arrested as Authorities Reveal His Attempts to Contact Former Coworkers

As the manhunt for Danelo Cavalcante continues, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) have arrested his sister as his former coworkers reported being contacted by the convicted murderer.
Pennsylvania State Police Lt. Col. George Bivens declined to comment on whether the arrest of Mr. Cavalcante’s sister Eleni was linked to his escape, but only mentioned that she faces possible deportation over “some immigration issues.”
Ms. Cavalcante’s boyfriend, Francisco Lima, helped her brother escape the state immediately after the murder. He bandaged his wounds, gave him clean clothes, and filled up his car’s gas tank. Mr. Lima received immunity for his testimony.
During the press conference, Lt. Bivens revealed that Mr. Cavalcante has made attempts to contact two former coworkers.
Doorbell video footage revealed a clean-shaven Mr. Cavalcante wearing a yellow or green hooded sweatshirt, a black baseball cap, green prison pants, and white shoes, according to state police.

Most people are broke and they can’t borrow… US household debt reached a record $17.1 trillion despite of rising credit rejections, driven by a desire to combat inflation.

In August, the NY Fed’s consumer survey showed a worrying shift in the 1-Year inflation expectation, reversing a four-month decline. This indicator typically reflects oil prices (currently at a 2023 high).
Moreover, 5-year inflation expectations reached their highest point since March 2022, compounding concerns. Additionally, households grew even more pessimistic about their financial outlook, painting a gloomy economic picture.
Consumer credit data shows weakening demand for mortgage refinancing as consumers turn to credit cards to cope with rising prices.
Credit card debt is increasing rapidly due to inflation and reduced stimulus support. Job revisions have been negative, leading to uncertainty about the strength of the economy.
Critics also question the accuracy of GDP numbers and suggest using Gross Domestic Income (GDI) for a more accurate assessment. The Federal Reserve is making decisions based on potentially flawed and frequently revised data, despite a significant increase in M1 Money.
NYC school kids KICKED OUT to make room for migrants: ‘No more room’

When the children of NYC went back to school, 21,000 of them were turned away due to the arrival of migrant children.
At a high school in Long Island City, a line to enter stretched around the block.
“But don’t worry, a 15-year-old illegal immigrant from Venezuela said he’s excited for his first day of high school,” Sara Gonzales comments.
“Not so great, though, if you’re a child, an American child, in New York City being displaced by illegals,” she adds.
HIV protesters occupy McCarthy’s office

A group of protesters stormed Kevin McCarthy‘s office on Capitol Hill on Monday, demanding he reauthorize PEPFAR, the HIV/AIDS relief program.
‘McCarthy – pass PEPFAR now,’ they shouted and chanted as they seated themselves on the floor.
U.S. Capitol Police removed them from McCarthy’s office in the Rayburn House Office Building, which is across the street from his official speaker’s office in the Capitol building.
PEPFAR, a widely-praised global program started by President George W. Bush, has become caught up in the fight over abortion. It faces a September 30th deadline to be reauthorized.
DHS has limited ability to accurately track migrants’ post-release addresses: IG report

“U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) cannot always obtain and does not always record migrant addresses, and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) does not always validate migrant addresses prior to migrant release into the United States,” DHS’s Inspector General’s Office said in the report, released on the 22nd anniversary of the 9-11 terror attacks.
The office said it arrive at such conclusions based on a review of 981,671 migrant records documented by USBP from March 2021 through August 2022.
The watchdog office also found addresses for over 177,000 migrant records were either missing, invalid for delivery or not legitimate residential locations.
Teacher returns to classroom after posting former student’s nude photos online: ‘It doesn’t sit right‘

On Friday, a human resources representative for the school told Fox News Digital Doyle was “not an employee in the district.” The school declined to detail its hiring process.
As of Friday, Doyle was still listed as an employee on the school’s website. When Fox News Digital spoke with Cannon, she said Doyle was still teaching.
Most people “never find out who posted their images,” according to Cali Madia, Cannon’s attorney, whose firm specializes in revenge porn cases.
However, months after finding her photos online, after subpoenas were served to the message board site and then the network provider of the posting IP address, Cannon learned her former math teacher had uploaded her images.
9/11: A Visual History

The whole world experienced the attacks of September 11, 2001, in real time.
Videos, photos, and audio captured the horror inflicted by Islamic terrorists and the heroism displayed by ordinary Americans forced onto the frontlines of a sudden new war.
In 2021, to mark the twentieth anniversary of 9/11 and to ensure that future generations never forget, Breitbart News assembled the following visual chronicle of the day that changed the world forever and the two decades of war that followed it.
Donald Trump Honors Victims and Heroes of 9/11: ‘A Void That Can Never Be Filled’

Trump recalled “the images of dark plumes of smoke billowing over Lower Manhattan” after the attacks at the Twin Towers in New York City, the attack at the Pentagon in Washington, DC, and the hijacked United Flight 93, which missed its intended target of Washington, DC, and crashed in Pennsylvania because of the heroism of the passengers and crew onboard, noting the scenes of that day “are seared into our minds forever.”
“Today, on the solemn anniversary of those monstrous attacks, we remember the 2,977 precious souls who were savagely taken from us on that morning 22 years ago, leaving a void that can never be filled,” Trump said. “No matter what happens, it can never be filled.”
Joe Biden to Lead National 9/11 Remembrances from Alaska

The president will spend the time some 3,400 miles from ground zero in New York City due to a stopover on his return from a trip to India and Vietnam. He is set to speak in front of 1,000 first responders and their families.
First lady Jill Biden is due to lay a wreath at the 9/11 memorial at the Pentagon. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin will also be in attendance.
As Breitbart News reported, Biden will be the first president to commemorate Sept. 11 in Alaska rather than the traditional New York City, Virginia or Pennsylvania events.

UK says Russia targeted civilian cargo ship in Black Sea port on Aug 24

The remarks, made in Britain’s parliament by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, are the first time an official has commented on a ship being targeted since those Ukrainian efforts began. Since Aug. 18, four cargo ships have sailed from Odesa.
“Thanks to declassified intelligence, we know the Russian military targeted a civilian cargo ship in the Black Sea with multiple missiles on the 24th of August,” Sunak said in an update to parliament on the G20 summit he attended in New Delhi.
The missiles had targeted a Liberian-flagged cargo ship berthed in port and were successfully shot down, Britain’s foreign office said in a statement.
The missiles included two “Kalibr” missiles fired from a Black Sea Fleet missile carrier, it added

EU tipped to bring eight new members into bloc amid Russian aggression in the west

The current 27-member bloc could be extended to as many as 35 members in the coming years but officials have warned that doing so would bring potential challenges and infighting between member states.
EU status could be granted to the six Western Balkan states (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia) together with Moldova and Ukraine.
Two senior EU officials confirmed EU affairs ministers are expected to table a meeting on bloc expansion towards the end of October.
Germany and France, considered to be the EU’s two biggest players, have both shown positive signals on the topic of accepting more members.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said back in May: “We need a geopolitical EU, an enlarged and reformed EU, and an EU open to the future.”

Morocco earthquake: Hope is fading in Talat Nyakoub where the stench of dead bodies is ‘overpowering’

There is hope that loved ones didn’t die when the quake hit the Atlas Mountains here in Morocco, but the smell of dead bodies is at times overpowering and the grim faces of rescue workers speak volumes.
Dozens, sometimes hundreds, of people gather at a newly-formed road created when the street below disintegrated.
Beneath them, groups of rescue workers operating in teams of between six and 12 dig their way through the rubble.

22 years after 9/11: Do YOU still believe THIS about America?
22 years ago, Glenn wrote an essay called “The Greatest American Generation.” But how much of it does he still believe? Are we still the same country that we were back then — an America that runs INTO burning buildings instead of from them? On the 22nd anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Glenn re-reads that essay and emphasizes that one thing remains true: God has not forsaken us. He’s trying to wake us up. So, will the American experiment die with us or blaze again?
Are We Forgetting?: Prosecutors Consider Plea Deal For Suspected Architects Of 9/11 Attacks

On August 23, 2023, less than three weeks ago, news outlets reported that the “architect of 9/11 Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and fellow co-conspirators may be spared the death penalty under a new plea deal being considered by the federal government.” They would plead guilty — actually admit their guilt in exchange for having their lives spared.
How, after 22 years, does this piece of human debris still breathe air? For that matter, how are any of these stains on humanity still living? Walid Bin Atash, Ali Abdul Aziz Ali, Ramzi Bin al Shibh, Mustafa Ahmed Adam al Hawsawi, and of course, Mohammed should have been executed two decades ago. Instead, we the people, the American taxpayers, are paying the freight to keep these terrorists alive, fed, and healthy.
Yes, the American system of justice is a compassionate one, but not everybody deserves compassion. Just ask Frank Siller, founder and Chairman and CEO of the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation. “They deserve no leniency. No plea deal should be entertained,” said Siller. “I, personally, want to see them rot in jail for the rest of their lives, but not in the luxury that they’re in — in a small prison cell with absolutely no amenities whatsoever. They’re going to burn in hell for what they have done,” continued Siller.
Remembering The Events of That Clear Morning
A brief timeline of the harrowing and disturbing events of Sept.11, 2001:
The Fading Memory of America.

But for all the heart wrenching memories of the past 22 years, it has begun to feel like the memory of 9/11 is fading. And it feels churlish to suggest this isn’t anything but natural. The passage of time.
A new generation which has no living memory of the event now takes up residence in the neighborhoods surrounding the old trade center. Why would they remember? They were never around in the first instance.
It sets one’s mind wandering, as to who might be around today were it not for 9/11. Not just here in New York. Not just in D.C., or in Pennsylvania, or around the nation. But around the world too.

Sen. Josh Hawley Proposes 18% Credit Card Interest Rate Cap

On the question of credit, the senior Republican senator from Missouri finds himself well to the left of the White House, only slightly less progressive than democratic socialists like Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and very much out of step with the business-friendly old guard of his party.
Sen. Josh Hawley will introduce legislation to cap the annual percentage rate of credit cards at 18%, RealClearPolitics is first to report. The average APR, by most estimates, now hovers near the 24% mark.
“Americans are being crushed under the weight of record credit card debt,” Hawley said just weeks after the Federal Reserve Bank of New York reported that national household credit card debt had hit the sobering and historic $1 trillion milestone.
Feds Drop Charges Against Trump Transition Adviser

“After carefully considering the Fourth Circuit’s recent decision in this case and the principles of federal prosecution, the United States believes it is not in the public interest to pursue the case against defendant Bijan Rafiekian further,” Assistant U.S. Attorney John Gibbs wrote in Monday’s filing with the United States Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
Gibbs asked the court to dismiss the two counts in the indictment “with prejudice,” meaning the decision to dismiss the case would be final.
“This case should never have been indicted,” Rafiekian’s attorney Mark MacDougall said in a statement to the Washington Post Monday. “Mr. Rafiekian has been the target of baseless federal prosecution for the past five years, only because he made the poor decision to be in business with Michael Flynn.”
Bernie Kerik to Newsmax: ‘Appalled’ at Ground Zero Ceremony

“This is one day that we’ve tried to make a habit out of not being political but … I was appalled by the people that were down there,” Kerik told “Newsline.” “AOC … Ocasio … Congresswoman [Alexandria] Ocasio[-Cortez] was there. This is a woman that has continually called for defunding the police. She’s anti-police. She’s a socialist, a borderline Marxist.
“She was standing in the group of political figures down there. And I thought, How sickening is it that she’s even here? What is she doing here?
“Secretary of Homeland Security [Alejandro] Mayorkas was there, which to me, was the most sickening part of the morning. This is a guy that’s created a bigger threat to this country then we faced on Sept. 10, 2001. By completely, intentionally, and willfully opening the U. S. borders, the threats that we face today are far worse.”
Kerik also said that Giuliani on Monday morning was given a hero’s welcome by fire and police personnel.
‘Can’t even fill potholes!’ Rishi Sunak slammed over ‘egotistical’ net zero drive

Tensions have been growing within the Conservative Party over its green policies, with some cabinet figures urging a rethink on measures such as the ban on the sale of new petrol and diesel cars by 2030.
Former UKIP Deputy Chair Suzanne Evans said the drive for net zero is “insane” as people could be “criminalised” for failing to comply with regulations.
“If you think the current cost of living crisis is a disaster, you haven’t seen nothing yet.
“Net zero is ultimately going to make us all poorer and colder. This has not been thought through, the technology is not in place yet to be able to replace oil and gas boilers.”
Speaking during the G20 summit, Sunak hinted that he is exploring how to limit the impact of net zero policies on consumers.

Fani Willis bankrolls private attorney for Trump prosecution: ‘Certainly unorthodox’

Nathan Wade, Willis’s lead prosecutor in the case, has raked in more than half a million dollars from the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office from January 2022 to August 2023, according to a payment history.
Christopher Campbell, Wade’s colleague at Wade & Campbell Firm, has been paid $116,670 from April 2021 to August 2023, the same records show.
Terrence Bradley, a former colleague of Wade’s, was paid $74,480 from May 2021 to June 2022, according to the records.
Wade, a defense attorney who can bill by the hour, was hand-picked by Willis roughly two years ago to serve as special prosecutor in the Trump case.
Wade is a former Cobb County fill-in municipal court judge who ran for Cobb County Superior Court and was defeated in 2012, 2014, and 2016.
Willis chose Wade over career prosecutors who work on salaries, and while the legalities of that have not been questioned at this stage, some, like Phil Holloway, an Atlanta-based attorney for more than two decades, have found the use of Wade to be “unorthodox.”
Bush institute exec pushing ‘civility’ pledge leaked Steele dossier to media outlet in 2016

He told The Guardian that former President Bush “did see and signed off on this statement.”
Kramer previously made headlines in March 2019 after his deposition on the debunked Steele dossier was unsealed by a judge for the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
Kramer, a former State Department official and McCain associate, was working at the McCain Institute for International Leadership when he was deposed in December 2017 as part of a defamation suit by a Russian oligarch over BuzzFeed’s publication of the unverified dossier.
Kramer told the court at the time that he had met with Steele in London at the direction of the late Senator John McCain, R-Ariz. He said he later had given the dossier to multiple news outlets, including BuzzFeed, as well as to McCain, who had then given it to then-FBI Director James Comey in December 2016.
‘Mark my words’: Fears raised for possibility of president Kamala Harris
Sky News host James Morrow discusses the possibility of US Vice President Kamala Harris becoming President in the 2024 presidential election.
“As the charade of the Joe Biden administration peters out and the people behind the scenes realise that this little show, call it ‘Puppetry of the Presidency’, can’t go on forever, the question is becoming ever more urgent in Democratic Party circles about what do to.”
Mr Morrow said. “Let’s not forget that Joe Biden was, like Kamala Harris, considered a completely unelectable dud when he went into the 2020 primaries.
