Disgraced Former FBI Agent Involved in Trump Probe to Plead Guilty in Russian Oligarch Case

ABC News reports Charles McGonigal, the former head of counterintelligence for the FBI’s New York field office, is scheduled for a “plea proceeding” Aug. 15, according to a judge’s order.
The 54-year-old is accused by U.S. prosecutors of working for sanctioned Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska and the change in plea is related to criminal charges of evading U.S. sanctions and money laundering.
McGonigal, one of the highest-ranking FBI officials ever criminally charged, served as a top agency counterintelligence official in New York during the Russia probe of former President Donald Trump.
Morris: Emails Show New York Times Collaborating with State Government to Target Orthodox Jews

The New York Times collaborated with the New York State government to produce its now-infamous series of stories targeting Orthodox Jewish schools, according to over 800 pages of emails obtained by Breitbart News.
The Times’ Eliza Shapiro — self-described “serious reporter who doesn’t pull punches” — is seen in the massive volume of communications, obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, discussing with the New York State Education Department how “we” can craft comment for the first story launching the Times’ series of articles targeting yeshivas, and giving the government almost a full business-week longer than the schools to comment.
Emails also show she worked with the government to direct blame for the Times’ allegations, and coordinated timing on publishing with a vote to regulate the religious schools.

Jill Biden Courts Drag Queens: ‘This Photo Says It All’

A photo recently surfaced showing Jill Biden posing with drag queens at the San Francisco event space Welcome to Manny’s.
The event space describes itself as a “community focused meeting and learning place” that encourages meetings and engagement with “civic leaders, elected officials, artists, activists, changemakers, and each other.”
Welcome to Manny’s shared an image of Jill Biden flanked by five drag queens, declaring that the event space is “unapologetically queer and unapologetically political.”
“This photo says it all – San Francisco queens meeting the First Lady of the United States of America in a civic meeting space in the Mission District of my fair city of San Francisco,” the event space wrote.
Illegal migrant busted for fentanyl after leading cops on chase now also charged in murder

Juan Gonzales-Silvia, 31, was charged with second-degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon in Multnomah County, Oregon, last week, just days after being involved in a high-speed chase with police officers that ended in drug trafficking charges in a nearby county, according to a report from KRCG.
According to a press release from the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office, officers attempted to pull over Gonzales-Silvia in a stolen Honda Civic last month but were instead led on a high-speed chase down Interstate 70.
Gonzales-Silvia, who was already wanted for multiple felony warrants, was eventually arrested after exiting the highway and leading police on a brief foot pursuit.
Images show men armed with rifles, body armor coming across southern border

Law enforcement sources tell Fox that the three men were spotted on Saturday evening by cameras in the Fronton area and were seen carrying rifles and wearing body armor as they move through the brush.
Border Patrol agents, including the agency’s BORTAC tactical unit, were deployed to the area but found nothing. It is the same area where law enforcement arrested five suspected members of the Northeast Cartel in June.
The latest incident came just days after Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) drone operators in Eagle Pass spotted an armed smuggler in Eagle Pass carrying a long gun and guiding a group of illegal immigrants across the Rio Grande.
In that instance the man made it back to Mexico, authorities said.
Legal Immigrants Protest Migrant Camp at Brooklyn Park: ‘This is Not Fair’

As Breitbart News reported, Adams has started housing border crossers and illegal aliens at a recreation center in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.
Over the weekend, legal immigrants living in Sunset Park protested Adams’ office turning their neighborhood recreation center into a migrant camp that is now housing men from Colombia, Nicaragua, Peru, and Venezuela who were released into the U.S. at the southern border.
“As first-generation immigrants, we understand that everybody comes here to go for a better life but this is not fair for the taxpayers of New York City,” Ying Tan, a Republican running for the 43rd City Council district, told Gothamist.
Gun-Controlled Washington, DC, on Pace for Deadliest Year in 2 Decades

Three homicides over the weekend brought the city’s total for this year to 161, which represents “a 28 percent increase over this time in 2022,” the Washington Post noted.
Jamila White chairs the Advisory Neighborhood Commission for the area in which the latest three murders occurred and claims city officials are not responding to the commission’s suggestions on how to fix things.
White said, “Our voices and our solutions are not being acted upon. The community has been doing what it can. The community is in survival mode.”
Green energy company Biden hosted at White House files for bankruptcy

The California-based company filed a voluntary Chapter 11 reorganization under the U.S. Bankruptcy Code in the District of Delaware to “strengthen its financial position.” Proterra said it would continue to operate its business as normal – including paying employee salaries and benefits, and compensating vendors and suppliers – during the process.
Biden also touted his support for billions of dollars in federal funding to accelerate the adoption of zero-emission transit buses and school buses during the tour. He has set a goal for all buses made in America to be zero-emissions by 2030.
The president has since touted Proterra as an American electric vehicle success story in multiple speeches about his green energy goals.
Earlier this year, he even appointed Joyce, Proterra’s CEO, to serve on the White House Export Council, the principal national advisory committee on international trade

Former Las Vegas teacher accused of sexual relationship with minor student for 4 years

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The former Athletics and Student Leadership Director for Mountain View Christian School has been accused of felony lewdness with a child as authorities said she had a four-year-long relationship with a former student.
Kaitlin Glover, 34, is also facing two charges of being a school employee in a position of authority while engaging in sex with a pupil over the age of 16. She is currently out on bond.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s report alleges in June of 2022 a student reported having sexual contact with her teacher, identified as Glover.
She said between December of 2017 and September of 2021, she had been in a sexual relationship with Glover after the two began conversing on Snapchat.
“Glover began sending her nude photos through Snapchat,” the report states. Glover would pick the student up and perform sex acts in Glover’s van once or twice a week.
CDC, Pharma Giants Angle for Annual COVID Shots Despite ‘Unclear’ Science

A survey by the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health published in the journal Health Affairs found that roughly a quarter of Americans have little to no trust in the CDC for health information, including 10% who do not trust the agency at all.
The CDC currently recommends the primary series of mRNA shots, or the first two doses of the updated vaccine be given weeks apart, followed months later by a booster shot. The FDA updated its guidance for these shots in August 2022 to contain a bivalent formulation targeting the original viral strain plus the BA.4 and BA.5 Omicron subvariants.
Pfizer is working on a combined flu/COVID-19 vaccine, expected to be available after 2024. Moderna is also working on a “next-gen flu-COVID combo” vaccine. Other vaccine makers are following suit.

3 in 4 Ukrainians see Zelensky at fault for government corruption

According to a survey conducted by the Foundation for Democratic Initiatives and the Kyiv International Sociological Institute, with the support of the Prague Center for Civil Society, 77.6 percent of Ukrainian respondents blame the Ukrainian leader for endemic corruption.
“The delay in solving problems, which undermines people’s faith in victory, also affects the president’s reputation.
The survey showed that 77.6 percent of citizens believe the president is directly responsible for corruption in the government and military administration,” said sociologist Petro Burkovsky, director of the Foundation for Democratic Initiatives.
He noted “the widespread argument that the government does not have time to do everything” no longer works after 16 months of war, and is no longer an excuse for those who do nothing to combat the abuses, negligence, and incompetence and who were elected and appointed precisely to “have time to do everything, to do everything to combat it, using the powers that were extended during the state of war.”
UK university withdraws plans to house 300 migrants in small English town after mass protests from local residents

A British university has been forced to withdraw plans to commercially rent out its student accommodation in a small town to asylum seekers after over 1,400 objections to the planning application were submitted by local residents.
The University of Derby had applied to rent out the 274-room High Peak Halls building in the spa town of Buxton to a third party, with the expectation the rooms would then be occupied by migrants new to Britain.
However, mass demonstrations from local residents opposed to the plans saw the application withdrawn just two hours before the local council was due to vote on the matter.
Around 1,400 complaints were filed by those who expressed concern about introducing nearly 300 adult male asylum seekers to the small English town, while just 14 letters of support for the plans were submitted.

The German-made tanks were sold by Belgium to defence company OIP Land Systems over five years ago.
OIP has now agreed to sell 50 tanks to another government, which cannot be named due to a confidentiality clause in the contract.
The unnamed government will in turn pass the armoured fighting vehicles on to Ukraine.

‘Successful’ cyber attack on elections body put details of more than 40 million voters at risk

The Electoral Commission revealed on Tuesday it was targeted by a cyber attack which allowed “hostile actors” to access electoral registers.
The reference copies, which are held for research purposes and to enable permissibility checks on political donations, also contained details of people registered to vote overseas during this period of time.
The attack was identified in October 2022, but the hackers had first been able to access the commission’s systems in August 2021.
It means the hostile actors went undetected, with access to millions of records, for more than a year
In Taiwan, Aso says Japan must show ‘will to fight’ to deter China

In a keynote speech to the Ketagalan Forum, an Indo-Pacific security dialogue, the vice president of Japan’s ruling Liberal Democratic Party said deterrence only works when three elements are met: having the ability to deter, having the will to carry out necessary actions and conveying both of these elements to the adversary.
“Never has there been a time” when like-minded players like Japan, Taiwan and the U.S. “have needed the resolve to make strong deterrence work than now. It’s the will to fight,” the 82-year-old politician said.
Since the visit of then-U.S. Speaker Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan last August, China has stepped up its aggressive actions toward the island, expanding military drills and crossing over the median line with daily flyovers.
President Xi Jinping has said China will strive for peaceful unification but has also noted Beijing “will never promise to renounce the use of force.”
Poland to move additional 1,000 soldiers to support Border Guard on Belarusian border

The chief commander of the Border Guard has appealed to the Ministry of Defense to relocate an additional 1,000 soldiers to the Polish-Belarusian border.
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Maciej Wąsik, at a conference with the head of the Border Guard General Tomasz Praga, stressed that the migratory pressure at the border with Belarus is still increasing. The entire procedure, as he said, is organized by the Belarusian border guards.
Minister Wąsik explained that aggression against Polish Border Guard officers, Polish soldiers, and police officers is increasing at the border with Belarus; they are being pelted with bottles, stones, and branches. He cited examples of attacks on Polish patrols, including a June incident when an object was shot from the Belarusian side, possibly using an airgun or firearm, smashing the windows of a Border Guard vehicle.
Wąsik also pointed out that, to enable migrants to pass, Belarusian services try to damage the border barrier using, for example, power tools.
‘Crooked’ Lawyers Who Aid Illegal Migrants Cheat Asylum System to Face Life Sentences

In the wake of reports that pro-mass migration lawyers coached illegals on how to fraudulently increase their chances of being granted asylum, including making up fake backstories of horrors in their homelands to even making up false claims of being homosexual and leaving their country over fears of persecution, Home Secretary Suella Braverman said that the government has created a new taskforce to crackdown on such activities.
“Crooked immigration lawyers must be rooted out and brought to justice,” Braverman said per The Telegraph. “While the majority of lawyers act with integrity, we know that some are lying to help illegal migrants game the system. It is not right or fair on those who play by the rules.
“The British people want us to put an end to illegal migration – I am determined to crack down on these immoral lawyers and stop the boats.”

Chip Roy, R-Texas, and 15 of his GOP colleagues issued a scathing letter calling for action against a “rogue prosecutor” who has “unjustly targeted” Finnish Parliament member Päivi Räsänen and Bishop Juhana Pohjola over a tweeted Bible verse critical of homosexuality and a 20-year-old booklet touting traditional marriage.
“This case will have worldwide ramifications,” the lawmakers sated in a letter to Ambassador-at-Large Rashad Hussain and Douglas Hickey, ambassador to Finland.

Putin’s deputy accuses NATO of ‘openly fighting’ Russia, vows all enemies will be ‘vanquished’

A senior Russian official said Tuesday that Russia is “strong enough” to defeat NATO countries who are assisting Ukraine amid Russia’s ongoing military invasion. The official also reaffirmed Russian President Vladimir Putin’s commitment to conquerer Eastern Ukrainian territories.
Dmitry Medvedev, the deputy chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation directly under Putin, accused NATO of “openly fighting” against Russia and vowed enemies of Russia would be “vanquished” in a post on Telegram Tuesday.
“The entire NATO system is almost openly fighting against us. We are strong enough to achieve all of the goals of the special military operation,” Putin’s deputy wrote according to a translation.
He also compared the current occupation of Ukraine to Moscow’s invasion of neighboring Georgia in 2008.

Parents of wanted overseas Hong Kong activist Anna Kwok questioned by national security police – reports

Hong Kong national security police have taken the parents of a wanted activist for questioning, marking the latest move in authorities’ investigation of eight overseas pro-democracy figures issued with arrest warrants and HK$1 million bounties.
The parents of US-based Anna Kwok were taken to a police station on Tuesday morning, local media outlets reported.
The police said in response to HKFP that the National Security Department took away a man and a woman for investigation in New Territories on Tuesday.
“They are suspected of assisting persons wanted by Police to continue to commit acts and engage in activities that endanger national security,” police said.
Hong Kong NGO requests removal of over 1,300 non-consensual intimate images from online platforms

Over 1,300 non-consensual sexual images have been reported to online platforms and websites with the hopes of getting them removed over the past two years, a Hong Kong NGO that fights sexual violence has said.
They involved 171 victims, NGO RainLily said in a press conference on Tuesday. While 89 per cent of online content was successfully removed after the NGO flagged it to online platforms, challenges remained as content farms, messaging apps like Telegram and forum LIHKG were largely unresponsive to take-down requests.
RainLily, which supports victims of sexual violence, introduced the initiative Take-Down Assistance in April 2021 to help people whose intimate photos were distributed online without their consent to request their removal from different websites. Victims could make reports anonymously.

Soros, other left-wing billionaires pour tens of millions into Schumer PAC in bid for Dems to hold the Senate

Though Soros is perhaps the most well-known, “the reality is the Left has dozens of billionaires like him, and it seems that almost all of them are rolling out the red carpet and the checkbook for Democratic Senate candidates this cycle,” Parker Thayer, an investigative researcher for the conservative think tank Capital Research Center, told the Washington Examiner.
Senate Majority PAC has raised $37 million in the first six months of this year, the Examiner reported citing campaign finance records.
According to the outlet, Soros’ group gave the Schumer-linked political action committee a total boost of $16 million between February and June alone.
J6 Committee failed to preserve records, has no data on Capitol Hill security failures, GOP charges

The “Blue Team,” as described by Loudermilk, represents the group within the J6 committee that was directed to investigate security failures at the Capitol. Loudermilk explained that sources have told him the Blue Team was essentially “shut down” by the committee in order to focus on placing the blame on former President Trump.
“We’ve got lots of depositions, we’ve got lots of subpoenas, we’ve got video and other documents provided through subpoenas by individuals. But we’re not seeing anything from the Blue Team as far as reports on the investigation they did looking into the actual breach itself,” he said.
“What we also realized we didn’t have was the videos of all the depositions,” Loudermilk added.
Loudermilk said he has been contacted by a defense attorney that needed access to key information in one of the video depositions, and the committee realized it did not have the videos he was seeking.
Republicans have long maintained that many security warnings were ignored leading up to the Capitol Hill riot which was supported by Steven A. Sund, former chief of the Capitol Police, who wrote in his book that several government agencies had intelligence of a brewing threat but failed to communicate that with Capitol Police.
