October 26, 2025 Cover Story: Mexico Misfire. Full Measure with Sharyl Attkisson
Mexico’s cartels are drowning in cash, fueled by record billions they got from smuggling drugs and people across our southern border. For years, the narrative pinned the escalating violence and bloodshed on U.S. gun smuggling and lax firearm laws. After all, American-made weapons litter Mexican crime scenes.
But what if the truth is far different? Today, a former federal agent flips the script with a jaw dropping twist: many of the U.S. guns used in cartel crimes were bought by Mexico’s own government.

‘National Disgrace’: Largest Federal Workers’ Union Rips Into Democrats, Demands Government Reopening

With the government shutdown nearing the one-month mark, the nation’s largest union representing federal workers, a close Democratic ally, is demanding that Democratic senators join Republicans in passing a House-approved resolution to reopen the government.
“Both political parties have made their point, and still there is no clear end in sight,” American Federation of Government Employees president Everett Kelley said in a statement. “It’s time to pass a clean continuing resolution and end this shutdown today. No half measures, and no gamesmanship.”
The union, which is closely affiliated with the Democratic Party and represents more than 800,000 government workers, is “urging Democrats to abandon their current position and join Republicans in supporting a stopgap solution,” NBC reported.
Senate Democrats have blocked a House GOP resolution to reopen the government 12 times, insisting that Republicans first commit to extending Obamacare subsidies. The shutdown began on October 1, when Congress failed to pass funding legislation for the new fiscal year. While 3 senators who caucus with Democrats have joined Republicans in backing the continuing resolution, 5 more need to vote for the resolution to reach the 60-vote threshold.
An anonymous Democratic senator said last week that Democrats are refusing to support a bill to reopen the government because they are “terrified of getting the guillotine” from their left-wing base.
President Donald Trump has said he will meet with Democrats only after they vote to end the shutdown, which has left hundreds of thousands of federal workers unpaid or furloughed and disrupted government services nationwide. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R., La.) and Senate majority leader John Thune (R., S.D.) have echoed Trump’s stance, criticizing Democrats for demanding negotiations over health care subsidies while federal departments remain closed.
In his statement, Kelley emphasized that “it’s time for our leaders to start focusing on how to solve problems for the American people, rather than on who is going to get the blame for a shutdown that Americans dislike.”
“Because when the folks who serve this country are standing in line for food banks after missing a second paycheck because of this shutdown, they aren’t looking for partisan spin,” Kelley went on. “They’re looking for the wages they earned. The fact that they’re being cheated out of it is a national disgrace.”…

Newsom roasted after claiming he grew up a ‘street hustler’ living on mac and cheese and Wonder Bread…

Gavin Newsom has said a lot of ridiculous things over the years, but his latest claim takes the cake; saying he was a “young street hustler” who survived on mac & cheese and Wonder Bread might be his dumbest line yet. And fear not, the internet is coming for him hard.
You almost have to admire Gavin Newsom’s commitment to absolute delusion. The man’s been handed everything his entire life. Talk about coming into the world with a silver spoon in your mouth.
This guy was born into San Francisco high society, connected to the Getty family, practically raised on private jets and trust funds, and now he’s trying to convince America he was some kind of streetwise hustler scraping by on Wonder Bread and mac and cheese.
That’s right. California’s silver-spoon socialist wants you to believe he “raised himself,” bro.
It’s all part of the 2028 campaign rebrand… the one where Gavin trades his designer suits for a tragic backstory and hopes nobody notices the $10,000 haircut.
And then there’s this photo of a young, street-tough Gavin Newsom ordering mac and cheese and Wonder Bread from room service at the Ritz and reminding the staff to keep the caviar cold.
And as if the Burberry scarf yearbook photo wasn’t enough, it gets even better. The same guy claiming he grew up eating Wonder Bread and mac and cheese “playing basketball alone” was literally featured in San Francisco Magazine under the title “Children of the Rich.”
You can’t make this stuff up.
The digs people online are taking at Gavin are hilarious, and this fraud deserves every one of them…..
Gavin Newsom admits it on camera: He gave illegals free healthcare for 22 years…

For years, Democrats proudly championed free healthcare for illegal aliens; heck, they’ve been bragging about it, debating it, and even building entire campaign platforms around it.
But now that Americans are crushed under skyrocketing grocery bills, rent, and medical costs… and the government is literally shutting down to make sure illegal aliens are taken care of… Dems are now scrambling to rewrite history and pretend it never happened.
The left’s new line is that “nobody supports taxpayer-funded healthcare for illegals.” Really? Because there’s video—uh, mountains of it, actually—of every major Dem smiling and raising their hand in support of exactly that. And if you want proof that this wasn’t just campaign talk, look no further than California, where Governor Gavin Newsom has proudly handed out free healthcare to illegal aliens for 22 years.
In this flashback clip, Newsom announced with pride how he’s given illegals free healthcare for over two decades. Clips like this are now really politically inconvenient, so the left wants to act like they never happened.
This is the lie they hope voters forget. But don’t worry, we won’t…
Gavin Newsom admits to giving free healthcare to illegals for 22 years “I did universal health care when I was mayor, fully implemented — regardless of your immigration status. San Francisco is the only universal health care plan for all undocumented residents in America. I’m very proud of that” Gavin Newsom became mayor of San Francisco on January 8, 2004, 22 years ago
And it’s not just Newsom. Roll the tape from the 2024 primaries. NBC asked every Democrat candidate on stage if their plan would cover free healthcare for illegal aliens. Without hesitation, every single one raised their hand….

Report: Jasmine Crockett Hid Stock Holdings in Pharmaceuticals, Fossil Fuels, and Marijuana Companies

In an article for the Washington Free Beacon published Monday, Andrew Kerr shared more information on Crockett’s apparently shady dealings.
The report said Crockett “owned stocks in at least 25 companies that she did not disclose to the public during her first congressional run in 2022, even though she’d quietly admitted to the holdings the previous year as a Texas state legislator,” adding she did not disclose the stock holdings when she got to Washington.
The Beacon said it found the information via a public records request. The report continued:
Further, Crockett, a self-described civil rights attorney, was an active stakeholder in the cannabis business — seeking unsuccessfully to open marijuana dispensaries in Ohio — even as she represented, as a defense lawyer, a man accused of murdering someone in a marijuana deal gone bad. Both in the Texas statehouse and in Congress, Crockett has pushed bills to decriminalize marijuana.
In September, Crockett claimed that just because people commit crimes, that “doesn’t make them a criminal” because it depended on the person’s “mindset,” Breitbart News reported.
Meanwhile, the Beacon report noted Crockett has said she supports herself and has never been married.
She also reportedly had stakes in corporations that “stood to benefit from actions she’s taken as a lawmaker and legislation she’s introduced in Congress, and others that stand in opposition to the image she’s cultivated as a champion of green energy,” the article read.
Crockett also had 25 undisclosed stocks with shares in companies that included Amazon, AstraZeneca, General Motors, ExxonMobil, Aurora Cannabis, and Ford, the Beacon said, citing public records.
When it comes to the weed issue, Crockett wrote in a 2021 social media post that cannabis reform is a “joint effort.”
“Representatives from both parties have filed some great bills that will reduce penalties for possession and expand the Texas Compassionate Use Program. But don’t forget — our goal is full recreational & medical cannabis,” she wrote:…
Blue city repeat offender linked to college student murder charged with new violent crimes after soft sentence

One of the New York City teens involved in the 2019 stabbing death of 18-year-old Virginian Tessa Majors, a Barnard College freshman, is back behind bars on charges of attempted murder and assault after a slap-on-the-wrist juvenile sentence, according to local reporting.
Zyairr Davis, then 13, was one of three teens arrested in the attack, but not the one who delivered the fatal blow. As a result, he received the lightest sentence — 18 months in juvenile detention, while the others saw life sentences.
Now he’s back behind bars on charges that include attempted murder in connection with a gang-related shooting into a crowd of people in Harlem, the New York Post reported Sunday. Court records show he faces nearly a dozen new charges in adult court, nearly all of them violent.
Davis and two 14-year-old pals, Rashaun Weaver and Luchiano Lewis, attacked her from behind in Morningside Park, a block away from campus, around 7 p.m. on Dec. 11, 2019, according to court documents.
They swiped her phone, but she fought back, biting Weaver hard enough that he dropped a knife, which Davis picked up and handed back to him, according to prosecutors.
According to a victims’ impact statement her family read at Weaver’s sentencing, she fought her way free twice, but the boys continued to surround and attack her.
Ultimately, Lewis held her in a headlock as Weaver stabbed her to death, so hard that Davis told police he saw down feathers exploding out of her jacket, Fox News Digital reported previously. She suffered repeated stab wounds, including one through the heart……
Trump warns Russia: US has world’s greatest nuclear submarine ‘right off their shores’

President Donald Trump warned Russian President Vladimir Putin in response to recent missile tests, reminding him that the U.S. has a nuclear submarine stationed “right off their shores.”
Trump made the comments during a press gaggle aboard Air Force One Monday morning, telling reporters that the U.S. is “not playing games” with Putin.
“Russia said this week that they’ve tested a new missile that can go more than 8,000 miles. Is that saber-rattling for you? What is that?” a reporter asked.
“I know we have a nuclear submarine, the greatest in the world, right off their shores. So, I mean, it doesn’t have to go 8,000 miles, and they’re not playing games with us. We’re not playing games with them either,” Trump responded.
“We test missiles all the time. But, you know, we do have a submarine, a nuclear submarine. We don’t need to go 8,000 miles. And I don’t think it’s an appropriate thing for Putin to be saying either, by the way. You ought to get the war ended. A war that should have taken one week is now in its soon fourth year. That’s what you ought to do instead of testing missiles,” he added….
America’s ‘BAT’ man unveils tech built to outsmart a Chinese first strike

Analysts say China has developed a chilling strategy for fighting a war with the United States: destroy America’s fighter jets before they ever leave the ground.
In nearly every modern conflict, disabling enemy aircraft on the ground has been the first move. When Israel struck Iranian nuclear sites earlier this year, it began by destroying Iranian runways — grounding Tehran’s air force before it could take off. Russia and Ukraine have done the same throughout their ongoing war, targeting airfields to cripple enemy aircraft. And when India clashed with Pakistan, the opening salvos hit Pakistani air bases.
Beijing has taken that lesson to heart. The People’s Liberation Army (PLA) has spent years building an arsenal of long-range precision missiles — including “carrier killers” like the DF-21D and DF-26 — capable of destroying U.S. aircraft carriers and striking American airfields across the Pacific. The goal: keep U.S. air power out of range before it can even launch.
Now, a U.S. defense technology firm says it has built a way to fight back. Shield AI, based in San Diego, has unveiled a new AI-piloted fighter jet designed to operate without runways, without GPS, and without constant communication links — an aircraft that can think, fly and fight on its own.
Shield AI says the jet, called X-BAT, can take off vertically, reach 50,000 feet, fly more than 2,000 nautical miles, and execute strike or air defense missions using an onboard autonomy system known as Hivemind. It’s designed to operate from ships, small islands or improvised sites — places where traditional jets can’t. The aircraft’s dash speed remains classified.
“China has built this anti-access aerial denial bubble that holds our runways at risk,” said Armor Harris, Shield AI’s senior vice president of aircraft engineering, in an interview with Fox News. “They’ve basically said, ‘We’re not going to compete stealth-on-stealth in the air — we’ll target your aircraft before they even get off the ground.’”
The jet launches vertically, and three X-BATs can fit in the space of one legacy fighter or helicopter…..
