Man charged with murder in North Carolina had 40 previous arrests

A North Carolina man with a long criminal background has been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a 51-year-old at a Charlotte motel. Records indicate that the murder suspect, 32-year-old Ronnie Fewell, has been arrested over 40 times in the past decade.
Fewell allegedly shot and killed Ronald Neville on October 10 at a Motel 6 in Charlotte, according to authorities. When officers arrived, they discovered Neville suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and he was pronounced dead at the scene, per Fox News.
Authorities said surveillance footage captured three men forcing their way into Neville’s motel room. The suspects were reportedly inside for only a few moments before rushing out. Detectives said one man “quickly” exited with a backpack that he hadn’t been carrying beforehand.
Police later determined that the bag contained items worth about $100, according to the warrant. Fewell was subsequently charged with felony murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and felony conspiracy. Authorities believe four individuals were involved in Neville’s death. Fewell is currently being held without bond at the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.
Court and jail records reveal Fewell’s extensive criminal past, having been arrested 40 times going back to 2012. The rap sheet includes charges such as assault on a female, robbery, drug trafficking, possession of stolen goods, firearm violations, and resisting arrest. Although many of these cases were dismissed by local prosecutors, he has served prison time for several convictions.
The mugshots of Fewell’s 40 different arrests were also going viral on X on Friday.
The case has reignited public anger over repeat offenders and the handling of chronic criminals by the justice system in various cities in the nation. Rep. Mark Harris (R-NC) expressed frustration on X, saying he was “disgusted” by the number of times Fewell had been released despite his record….
NYC girl, 12, left clinging to life in stepfather’s violent stabbing rampage that also injured her mom: cops

A 12-year-old girl is clinging to life after her stepfather stabbed her in the head — and also attacked her mother in a violent rampage earlier this week, cops said Friday.
Joshua Burnside, 28, repeatedly knifed the pre-teen in the head and slashed her on the face during the burst of violence around 11:15 p.m. Wednesday inside the family’s apartment on East 173rd Street near Boone Avenue in Charlotte Gardens, police said.
He also stabbed his 31-year-old wife in the stomach and slashed her on the face, authorities said.
Two younger kids, a 5-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl, were at home when the violence erupted, but they were not injured, police said.
The gravely injured 12-year-old — who suffered facial bruising in addition to the stab wounds — was rushed to Cohen Children’s Medical Center, where she is listed in critical condition, according to authorities.
Burnside, who was found with an injury to his left wrist, was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition, cops said. It was not immediately clear how he was hurt.
He was arrested and charged with assault, criminal possession of a weapon and acting in a manner injurious to a child, police said. ..
Task force says man to be deported 3rd time after arrest

The Memphis Safe Task Force said it arrested a documented gang member who was in the U.S. illegally, after he allegedly tried to kidnap a woman at gunpoint.
Francisco Lopez-Altamerana, 38, was taken into custody Wednesday.
The task force said he has an active order of removal from the country and will be deported for the third time.
On Wednesday, authorities say Lopez-Altamerana tried to kidnap a woman who was walking on the street with her children. She filed a report with the Memphis Police Department.
Task force members caught him as he walked out of a business on Jackson Avenue. There was a brief foot pursuit before he was taken into custody.
He is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, domestic violence, felony theft and failure to appear. Authorities say more charges are likely.
Lesbian sheriff who helped persecute teen for saying ‘boys are boys’ forced to resign…

Remember Travis Lohr? He’s the Idaho Kellogg High School senior who was punished for saying the most basic truth in the universe: “Boys are boys and girls are girls.”
On Thursday, Kellogg High School senior Travis Lohr took part in an activity where seniors share advice for lowerclassmen. In a departure from his preapproved remarks, Lohr spoke from his heart, saying, “Guys are guys and girls are girls. There is no in-between.”
Despite the fact that this simple statement has been a truism for all of human history, the leadership of Kellogg High School seemed to think it was unacceptable. Principal Dan Davidian informed Lohr that he would not be allowed to walk in his graduation ceremony on Saturday.
Reactions came swiftly. Local news outlets publicized the incident, and Travis himself sat down with IFF president Wayne Hoffman to share his story.
“I didn’t direct it at any groups or anything like that; it was just something I chose to say in the moment,” Travis explained. “There was a short pause, and then an uproar of cheers.”
Speaking the truth is revolutionary and exciting in a world full of lies.
One of the people who tried to humiliate him for it just got a taste of their own medicine.
One of the loudest enforcers of that madness, Shoshone County Sheriff Holly Lindsey, has now resigned after reportedly driving drunk and leaving the scene of a crash. The same sheriff who thought a teenage boy’s common sense was dangerous just proved she couldn’t even follow the law herself, and she was a helluva lot more dangerous.
Canada says it will pull ad using Reagan speech on tariffs to restore trade negotiations with US

Ontario Premier Doug Ford on Friday announced that he would be pulling a controversial ad next week, which featured a recording of a speech by Republican former President Ronald Reagan criticizing tariffs on foreign goods.
The ad started circulating in Canada last week, and President Donald Trump canceled all trade talks with Canada over the controversy. The ad was sponsored by the Ontario government, not Canada’s larger government.
Ford said he spoke with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and decided to pause the advertising campaign effective Monday so that trade talks can resume. He said the ad achieved his goal of getting the United States’ attention.
“Our intention was always to initiate a conversation about the kind of economy that Americans want to build and the impact of tariffs on workers and businesses,” Ford said, per the Associated Press. “We’ve achieved our goal, having reached U.S. audiences at the highest levels.”
It is not clear if the premier’s actions will go far enough to restore trade negotiations, but the Ronald Reagan Foundation said the province was not authorized to use the recording and that the clip “misrepresents” the 1987 speech.
Grassley calls on Jack Smith to provide details on meetings with White House, DOJ, & FBI leadership

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Sen. Chuck Grassley is calling upon former Justice Department special counsel Jack Smith to provide details on all of the meetings that he and his Trump investigative team held with the Biden White House and FBI and Justice Department leadership.
Grassley sent a letter to Smith on Friday shortly after the former special counsel – who had been appointed by Biden administration Attorney General Merrick Garland – offered to testify before the Iowa Republican committee.
The letter was also sent a day after Grassley revealed that Garland, then-Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco, and then-FBI Director Christopher Wray all signed off on the FBI’s 2022 launch of “Arctic Frost” – in which the agency allegedly spied on roughly 100 Republican-linked entities including Congress…..
On Thursday, Grassley released a document from April 2022 containing the handwritten signatures of Garland, Monaco and Wray approving the opening of the Arctic Frost investigation.
Recently-declassified information related to the Arctic Frost investigation show the 2022 lawfare assault against then-former President Donald Trump and MAGA world, as criminal inquiries — which would soon lead to criminal charges — spun into high gear as Trump leaned toward running for president again.
The recent revelation that the FBI snooped on the phone records of Republican members of Congress during its January 6 investigation is bringing greater scrutiny to Wray, during whose tenure the bureau effort occurred, and to Smith, who was leading the Biden Justice Department’s investigation into Donald Trump.
These revelations are also putting the spotlight on Thibault, whom Republicans argue showed extreme anti-Trump bias, demonstrated a willingness to target Trump early in his first term, attempted to slow walk or block the FBI’s investigation into Hunter Biden, and in April 2022 helped spark Arctic Frost investigation — later carried on by Smith — which led to criminal charges against Trump related to the Capitol riot…..
Chicago: Migrant Arrested Eight Times Is Accused of Stabbing Man over Cellphone Video

The suspect is identified as 26-year-old Anthony Vasquez Guedez of Venezuela, CWB Chicago reported Thursday, noting the man already has a long criminal history.
The incident happened in the Back of the Yards neighborhood in the 4800 block of South Ashland Avenue.
The suspect allegedly confronted the man as he was recording a video of the area for his family and demanded he delete the clip. However, when the victim refused to comply, Vasquez Guedez allegedly stabbed him several times with a knife and the man gave up his phone.
Police later located the suspect where he was allegedly threatening another person with a knife. He has been accused of kicking one of the officers trying to take him into custody.
“Court records show Vasquez Guedez has been arrested eight times since January 2024. The cases include multiple shoplifting and domestic battery allegations, battery, and driving without a license twice in March 2024. He received a 32-day sentence earlier this month for felony shoplifting and failed to appear in court for the driving matters, according to court records. Prosecutors dropped all of the other cases,” the CWB Chicago article said.
The outlet noted Judge Antara Rivera ordered the migrant be detained on charges of robbery and three counts of aggravated battery in regard to the September 20 incident. The CWB Chicago report said he is in custody and awaiting trial.
The news comes as Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers are searching for an illegal alien who is accused of violently raping a 54-year-old woman in Chicago, which is a so-called “sanctuary city,” Breitbart News reported Wednesday.
The illegal, identified as Leyter Jeferson Arauz-Medina, was initially released into the United States during former President Joe Biden’s (D) administration in September 2024 near Eagle Pass, Texas.
The outlet detailed the chilling alleged crime:…..
Seattle Jail Hires Illegal Migrants to Guard Citizens, Will Fight State Ban to Keep Them

The King County Department of Adult and Juvenile Detention (DAJD) has not only admitted to breaking state laws by hiring nearly three dozen illegal migrants as corrections officers, but has also pledged to fight the state law preventing such hiring.
In a statement to The Jason Rantz Show, DAJD said:
All are fully trained as corrections officers and authorized to work in the United States. King County is committed to safety and the fair treatment of these officers and continues to work closely with the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission (WSCJTC). We are keeping all available avenues of relief open at this time.
The jail’s allegedly illegal hiring practices came to light after a whistleblower filed a complaint claiming that the department had hired as many as 100 illegal aliens, which would violate the Revised Code of Washington 43.101.095, which states that only legal U.S. citizens may be hired as corrections officers, according to KTTH AM radio’s Jason Rantz Show.
According to Rantz, the state law does allow jails to hire “lawful permanent residents [and] individuals covered” under Barack Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
The DAJD has openly admitted to hiring 38 individuals who were “incorrectly certified as meeting the conditions of RCW 43.101.095(2)(b)(v),” but they are refusing to fire the illegally hired employees. In fact, the department seems poised to fight against the state law and keep the illegally hired employees.
DAJD also says the violation of hiring laws was simply an oversight and insisted that the illegally hired corrections officers will stay on the job for now…..
N.J. cop went to ATM before responding to 911 call where trooper killed 2 people, prosecutor says

The police sergeant dispatched to 911 calls reporting gunfire and a woman screaming near a Hunterdon County home this summer instead drove to an ATM in the opposite direction and made a personal transaction, authorities announced Thursday.
Kevin Bollaro, a sergeant with the Franklin Township police, did a cursory investigation — which he later lied about in his report — and then went out for pizza as the bodies of Lauren Semanchik and Tyler Webb lay outside her home in the fading sunlight of Aug. 1.
The Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office gave a scathingly detailed account of Bollaro’s activities the night of the double murder in announcing they’ve charged him with official misconduct and tampering with public records.
Semanchik and Webb were shot dead by her ex, state police Lt. Ricardo J. Santos, and were not found until the next morning, when Semanchik’s father arrived at her home on Upper Kingtown Road to accompany her to a festival.
Semanchik’s family and their lawyers have maintained that police agencies failed Semanchik multiple times, from when she and Santos ended their relationship in late 2024, and the trooper started stalking and harassing her, to the evening she and Webb died.
A few days after the murders, the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office announced they’d taken control of the Franklin police department, citing “serious concerns” about their effectiveness as a force. The department’s chief, and Bollaro, were placed on administrative leave.

Hegseth announces Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group heading to Latin America

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced Friday the U.S. is sending the Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group to Latin America as part of escalating military buildup in the region.
“The enhanced U.S. force presence in the [U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility] will bolster U.S. capacity to detect, monitor, and disrupt illicit actors and activities that compromise the safety and prosperity of the United States homeland and our security in the Western Hemisphere,” Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell posted on X. “These forces will enhance and augment existing capabilities to disrupt narcotics trafficking and degrade and dismantle [transnational criminal organizations].”
Parnell did not say in his post when the strike group would be moving into the region. The Pentagon did not have further information to provide beyond the statement.
The USS Ford, which has five destroyers in its strike group, is currently deployed to the Mediterranean Sea. A person familiar with the operation told The Associated Press that one of those destroyers is in the Arabian Sea and another is in the Red Sea.
At the time of the announcement, the USS Ford was in port in Croatia on the Adriatic Sea. Deployment of a carrier group marks a major escalation of U.S. forces in a region that has already seen an unusually large military buildup in the Caribbean Sea and the waters off Venezuela.
The U.S. force includes eight warships, P-8 maritime patrol aircraft, MQ-9 Reaper drones, an F-35 fighter squadron and more than 6,000 sailors and Marines. A submarine has also been confirmed to be operating in the waters off South America.
As part of the show of force, the U.S. flew a pair of supersonic, heavy bombers up to the coast of Venezuela on Thursday, a little over a week after a group of American B-52H Stratofortress bombers made a similar journey as part of a training exercise to simulate an attack.
Earlier Friday, Hegseth announced that the U.S. had conducted its first night strike on an alleged drug vessel, killing six people in the Caribbean Sea. The U.S. has conducted three consecutive strikes this week….

Man shot 10 times protecting high school cheerleader who died after shooting at bonfire: report

A man in Alabama says he was shot 10 times while trying to protect his friends from a gunman who fatally shot Kimber Mills, a high school cheerleader.
Mills, 18, was shot early Sunday in Pinson, Alabama, in a heavily wooded area referred to as The Pit, according to AL.com. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said that the suspect, 27-year-old Steven Tyler Whitehead, showed up at around 12:24 a.m. and fired his gun several times after a verbal and physical fight. WVTM reported the shooting took place at a bonfire.
Prosecutors charged Whitehead with three counts of attempted murder and he is being held on a $180,000 bond.
Ashley Mills, the victim’s sister, shared on Facebook that Kimber died on Wednesday night. Kimber was a senior at Cleveland High School, where she ran track and was also a cheerleader.
“Our sweet baby sister went to be with the Lord at 7:08 p.m. last night! She has had the biggest gathering for honor walk the doc has ever seen! She was and is so loved by so many. We will miss you Kimber! Everyone is free to share this post anywhere they feel necessary!” Ashley Mills wrote on Facebook.
“Kimber was caught in the crossfire,” she told AL.com.
Silas McCay, 21, told WBRC he was shot 10 times — in the leg, hip, rib cage, stomach, finger, pelvis and thigh while trying to protect his friends, including Kimber Mills. McCay is expected to recover and could leave the hospital as soon as Friday…..
