Trump Has A Real Insurrection On His Hands In Minnesota

he American people are once again witnessing Minneapolis descend into chaos, as left-wing militants hold the city hostage to obstruct law enforcement primarily on behalf of illegal aliens and criminal scammers who have culturally decimated the city.

Amid the rioting and destruction of vehicles and property of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and other law enforcement, a suspected Latin Kings gang member allegedly stole an M16A1 rifle and a suppressor from a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) vehicle after federal agents were forced to abandon the scene due to “ensuing civil unrest,” according to the Department of Justice.

“There is a clear, bright line between peaceful protest and lawless destruction,” said Acting Special Agent in Charge Jarrad Smith of FBI Minneapolis. “Stealing, damaging, and destroying federal property endangers the community and jeopardizes the safe and peaceful exercise of First Amendment rights. The FBI will never tolerate interference in law enforcement activities. Together with ATF, DEA, and the invaluable partnership of all our federal, state, and local law enforcement allies, FBI Minneapolis will ensure public safety and that those engaging in violent and destructive behavior will be identified and will face justice.”

All the evidence indicates that an insurrection is taking place in Minneapolis. Not like the fake one on Jan. 6, 2021; this one has real violence, real obstruction of official proceedings, real consequences, and actual intent.

This one has actual institutional support from members of Congress, governors, mayors, and possibly state and local police officers — though it is unclear if those officers are simply being held hostage by their political leadership, as White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt suggested Thursday…

Trump’s Do-Nothing Minnesota Response Is A Weak Embarrassment

While President Trump overzealously obsesses about acquiring Greenland and other foreign policy ventures, AI, and swapping RINO Sen. Bill Cassidy with a RINO House member, a major American state is continuing its rapid descent into Third World despotism.

By now, most Americans have seen the viral incident of anti-ICE agitators — which included media hack Don Lemon — storming a church in St. Paul, Minnesota, over the weekend in apparent violation of federal law. While Lemon harassed the church’s pastor about why he wasn’t OK with demented leftists infringing upon his congregation’s worship service, the group’s other members screeched in the faces of attending families (including minors).

The anarchists reportedly believed one of the church’s pastors was a member of ICE, according to Baptist Press.

Members of the Trump administration quickly took to social media to pledge accountability for the incident. Attorney General Pam Bondi claimed that the Justice Department will “prosecute federal crimes and ensure that the rule of law prevails,” while White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said that “President Trump will not tolerate the intimidation and harassment of Christians in their sacred places of worship.”

Except, the president has already tolerated this type of leftist-led “intimidation and harassment” throughout Minnesota for weeks.

The primary reason those left-wing anarchists felt comfortable enough storming that church is because Trump and his administration have given them zero reason to fear any real accountability for their actions….

Here’s The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly Of The White House Health Plan

On Thursday, the White House released its self-described “Great Health Care Plan” (emphasis in the original). The plan — all 359 words of it (yes, I counted) — contains some good policies and some not-so-good ones.

Most notably, however, it eschews any reference to the enhanced Covid subsidies that the administration was reportedly going to embrace just before Thanksgiving. That in itself should relieve conservatives, but it doesn’t mean the plan’s other components don’t deserve scrutiny of their policy merits, or lack thereof.

The Good

In theory, sending money to patients rather than insurance companies will give the American people greater control over their health care choices, while promoting competition. However, as previously noted, such a move should not include any supposed “flexibility” regarding taxpayer funding of abortion, a policy that bipartisan majorities have supported for going on half a century.

Likewise, proposals to allow more pharmaceuticals to be sold over-the-counter hold some appeal. Expanding the OTC marketplace could increase competition, while also lowering health care costs by eliminating additional trips to the doctor to obtain prescriptions. By contrast, Obamacare included language (since repealed) requiring people to obtain a prescription to have OTC medicines reimbursed from a Flexible Spending Arrangement or Health Savings Account, which resulted in a rush of unnecessary appointments where patients asked for “prescriptions” for things like NyQuil (seriously).

The Bad

I wouldn’t call these policies “bad,” so much as “meh.” Proposals to increase transparency — requiring insurers to explain their plans in plain English, publish their rates of treatment denials, and publicize their percentage of administrative overhead, and mandating providers to publish their prices — should help at the margins. But as I previously noted, it shouldn’t take an act of Congress, or myriad federal regulations implementing such an act, to inform people about price and quality information readily available in literally every other type of market. Part of me celebrates a reform that can help people become more informed consumers and patients, while the other part of me laments that it will necessitate more government red tape to do so.

The proposal to fund the cost-sharing reduction program falls into a similarly ambivalent category. (This issue gets very wonky very quickly; I have a technical explainer as part of my summary of last month’s House bill that addressed this issue.) On the one hand, this proposal would lower premiums for Exchange plans, particularly for people (like me) who don’t qualify for subsidies. On the other hand, this policy would implement Obamacare, and it would also make direct payments to insurers, which directly contradicts the plan’s other proposal to “stop sending big insurance companies billions in extra taxpayer-funded subsidy payments.”

The Ugly

As I wrote previously, the worst of the White House proposals concerns policies to codify the president’s Most Favored Nation deals, “to get Americans the same low prices for prescription drugs that people in other countries pay.” While Americans do pay more than many overseas nations for pharmaceuticals, we should by no means want to import the rationing systems that many countries with socialized medicine use to (artificially) create those supposedly “low prices.”….

World-first hydrogen drone with ‘negligible thermal signature’ deployed in combat zone

Ukraine has sent a hybrid hydrogen-powered drone into combat for the very first time. Drone manufacturer Skyeton announced that a variant of its Raybird drone was recently deployed in an active war zone by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

According to the drone firm, the Raybird variant was modified to accommodate a new fuel system and to distribute weight for larger hydrogen fuel tanks. The electric propulsion version has a key advantage: its lower heat signature makes it particularly well-suited to reconnaissance missions.

The standard Raybird, which runs on an internal combustion engine (ICE), allows for a flight endurance of over 28 hours, Skyeton explained in a press statement. The firm noted that the hybrid version used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces has a shorter endurance of 12 hours, though it is working to increase this to 20 hours.

“By utilizing hydrogen-electric propulsion, the platform offers enhanced operational efficiency and environmental benefits for both defense and civilian applications,” Skyeton said in the statement….

US Navy’s SeaGuardian drone drops sonobuoys to hunt submarines hidden in deep sea

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) tested its MQ-9B SeaGuardian drone with a new Expanded Sonobuoy Dispensing System (ESDS), marking a major step in unmanned maritime patrol.

The tests conducted in December focused on improving the drone’s ability to detect submarines far below the surface. With growing global naval threats, this technology could change how navies monitor the world’s oceans.

Submarines remain among the most powerful weapons ever built. Nuclear ballistic missile submarines can carry out devastating strikes, while conventional submarines can disrupt shipping and trade.

Historically, submarine attacks nearly crippled Britain during World War II. During the Cold War, the Royal Navy played a key role in NATO’s anti-submarine mission, tracking Soviet submarines in the Arctic and keeping their missile boats at bay.

Submarine detection is just as critical in current scenario. Major powers are investing in ways to locate, track, and intercept hostile underwater craft. Aircraft play a central role by patrolling wide ocean areas and deploying sonobuoys, specialized sensor pods that detect submarines below the surface…

Musk drops $10 million to help MAGA candidate replace ‘trash Trump’ Mitch McConnell

The richest man in the world has made a hefty donation to a pro-Trump Republican looking to take over the Kentucky U.S. Senate seat occupied by Mitch McConnell for 40 years, Axios has reported..

Last week, billionaire businessman Elon Musk donated $10 million to the Fight for Kentucky super PAC, which supports the candidacy of Nate Morris, founder of waste and recycling giant Rubicon.

Morris has billed himself as a MAGA warrior and the antithesis of McConnell. In a scathing campaign video titled “Garbage Day,” Morris suggests that McConnell is a “trash Trump” “career politician” who has been “dumping” on Americans and Kentuckians in particular for decades.

“We’ve let the garbage pile up in Washington, D.C., for far too long. I’m running for Senate to help President Trump clean up the mess,” Morris states in the ad.

Axios implied that the Musk-Morris connection may have come about because of Vice President JD Vance, whom the outlet described as “close to” Musk and a “personal friend” to Morris.

Axios also indicated that Musk’s massive donation is a sign that he intends to use his wealth in support of Republicans in the 2026 midterms….

‘Place your left hand on the Quran’: Foreign-born lieutenant governor does not swear in on Bible

In one of the clearest examples of elections having consequences in recent times, Virginia’s new lieutenant governor’s swearing-in ceremony made history for its unorthodox changes.

On Saturday, Ghazala Firdous Hashmi took her oath of office to fill the lieutenant governor seat. However there was one major twist to the proceedings: Instead of placing her left hand on the Bible, Hashmi swore her oath on the Quran.

“Place your left hand on the Quran,” the woman directing the inauguration instructed Hashmi.

“I, Ghazala Firdous Hashmi, do solemnly swear that I will support the Constitution of the United States,” she said during the ceremony.

According to her official website, Hashmi was born in Hyderabad, India, and was brought to the United States as a child.

She is the first Muslim woman to hold statewide office in the nation and the first South Asian-American to be elected to statewide office in Virginia.

Hashmi sees her election and inauguration as a sign of Virginia’s “continued progress toward a more representative and inclusive democracy.”

Jack Keane: This is EXACTLY what’s going to happen

Fox News senior strategic analyst Gen. Jack Keane joins ‘America’s Newsroom’ to discuss President Donald Trump’s stance on Iran and his Greenland acquisition push.

5-year-old boy weighed about 19 pounds at time of death, cops say: ‘Probably the worst case of child neglect I’ve seen’

Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Col. Donald Capelo told WAFB that medical professionals at the hospital “continued to work on the child for about 40, 45 minutes before the child just passed away.”

Detectives with the juvenile unit of the sheriff’s office opened an investigation following reports of apparent injuries on the juvenile and additional concerns of child neglect, including severe malnourishment, the sheriff’s office said.

During their investigation, detectives executed a search warrant at the home where Marley lived with his parents, 33-year-old Marlon Perilloux and 27-year-old Raynisa Young, officials said.

Detectives reported the home’s interior was in poor condition and barely livable due to Perilloux and Young’s negligence, officials said.

Detectives interviewed Perilloux and Young and learned that both parents failed to ensure proper hygiene, feeding, and medical care for Marley, who weighed about 19 pounds at the time of death, officials said.

Detectives arrested Perilloux and Young for negligent homicide, second-degree cruelty to juveniles, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and illegal carrying of weapons, the sheriff’s office said.

Both were transported to the Ascension Parish Jail with no bond, officials said, adding that additional or upgraded charges are pending.

In addition, investigators said Marley was bedridden and apparently never left the house, WAFB reported.

“This is probably the worst case of child neglect I’ve seen in my 34 years of law enforcement,” Capelo told the station. “To put it in perspective, when the coroners come out, there are body bags for adults, and there are body bags for infants. And this child, 5 years old, fit in an infant body bag.”

Cellphone video WAFB obtained shows the Geismar apartment where the family of six lived in squalor, the station said, adding that the unit was filled with trash, debris, and mattresses on the floor….

Kristi Noem announces more than 10K arrests of illegal migrants in Minnesota, rips Walz, Frey for ‘protecting criminals’

“PEACE AND PUBLIC SAFETY IN MINNEAPOLIS!” DHS Secretary Kristi Noem proclaimed in a post on X.

Those arrested, Noem said, “were killing Americans, hurting children and reigning terror in Minneapolis because Tim Walz and Jacob Frey refuse to protect their own people and instead protect criminals.”

Noem announced Monday that more than 10,000 arrests of illegal migrants in the state in a scathing takedown of Tim Walz and Jacob Frey.

Frey raised eyebrows on Sunday when he compared ICE’s immigration crackdown in his city to an “invasion” by the federal government on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

“In the last 6 weeks, our brave DHS law enforcement have arrested 3,000 criminal illegal aliens including vicious murders, rapists, child pedophiles and incredibly dangerous individuals. A HUGE victory for public safety,” Noem said, before pivoting to the multibillion-dollar fraud scandal unfolding in Minnesota.

“There is MASSIVE Fraud in Minneapolis, at least $19 billion and that’s just the tip of iceberg. Our Homeland Security Investigators are on the ground in Minneapolis conducting wide scale investigations to get justice for the American people who have been robbed blind,” she wrote.

The $19 billion figure is significantly higher than the $9 billion cited by US Attorney Joe Thompson as the amount illegal immigrant fraudsters have pilfered from the state’s human services coffers, much of it allegedly by members of the state’s Somali community, and was echoed by President Trump in a Truth Social post late Sunday in which he blasted “Squad” member Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.).

“There is 19 Billion Dollars in Somalia Fraud. Fake ‘Congresswoman’ Ilhan Omar, a constant complainer who hates the USA, knows everything there is to know. She should be in jail, or even a worse punishment, sent back to Somalis, considered one of the absolutely worst countries in the World. She could help to MAKE SOMALIA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump wrote.

ABC, CBS REFUSE to Cover Anti-ICE Mob Harassing Christians at Minneapolis Church

On Sunday, a violent anti-Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE) mob stormed City Church — a church affiliate with the Southern Baptist Church (SBC) denomination — and disrupted Lord’s Day services out of a false assumption that the pastor there was an ICE agent and demand accountability for Renee Good’s January 7 death.

Thus far, ABC and CBS have yet to say a word about this ugly scene on their flagship morning or evening newscasts.

Of the five tentpole newscasts that aired Sunday night and Monday morning, only one brought it up as NBC’s Today offered a footnote in the final 35 seconds of its segment on the Minneapolis unrest.

Even in that brief nod, NBC couldn’t even mention the fact that the mob had teamed up with disgraced former CNN anchor Don Lemon.

ABC’s Good Morning America had other priorities on Monday when covering Minneapolis:….

This Is Starting To Get Very Serious

Escalating unrest in Iran is unpacked against a backdrop of threats, sanctions, media silence, and geopolitical posturing, with attention paid to how information is filtered, framed, and selectively amplified depending on who benefits.

The discussion moves between protest movements, economic pressure, US intervention, and the limits of public attention, questioning how much anyone can really know — or care — when global crises are packaged as disposable content. Underneath the headlines sits a deeper reflection on power, truth, interventionism, and the human tendency to outsource moral certainty to systems that never have to live with the consequences.

Virginia Democrats Pass Amendment for Abortions Up to Birth

Virginia Democrats have pushed through a radical constitutional amendment to enshrine abortions up to birth in the state constitution, sending the measure to voters in a November referendum after party-line votes in the General Assembly.

The amendment, which would establish a so-called “fundamental right to reproductive freedom,” advanced quickly in the Democrat-controlled legislature. It cleared the House on party-line votes after committee action on January 14, and the Senate followed suit.

Sen. Jennifer Boysko, D-Fairfax, a key sponsor, framed the amendment as protecting health care and contraception, even though it would allow killing babies up to birth for any reason.

Republicans opposed the amendment unanimously. Some attempted amendments to preserve parental consent laws or ensure care for babies born alive, but these were rejected by extreme Democrats who want no limits on killing babies before birth.

From a pro-life perspective, the amendment represents a grave threat.

Virginia’s Catholic bishops, Bishop Michael Burbidge of Arlington and Bishop Barry Knestout of Richmond, condemned it as “extreme and deadly,” warning it would enshrine virtually unlimited abortion at any stage of pregnancy….

Putin invited to Trump’s ‘Board of Peace’ on Gaza and global conflict, Kremlin says

Russian President Vladimir Putin has been invited to join US President Donald Trump’s “Board of Peace” aimed at resolving conflicts globally and overseeing governance and reconstruction in Gaza, the Kremlin said on Monday.

Moscow for years tried to balance relations with all major players in the Middle East – including Israel and the Palestinians.

But since the Israel-Gaza war and Russia’s assault on Ukraine, Putin has moved away from Israel, boosting ties with its foes like Iran.

Moscow has also sought closer relationships with the Gulf states amid growing Western isolation.

“President Putin also received an invitation to join this Board of Peace,” spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists.

Russia was seeking to “clarify all the nuances” of the offer with Washington, he said, without adding if the Kremlin chief was inclined to join.

The White House has reached out to various figures around the world to sit on the so-called “Board of Peace”, chaired by the US president himself.

Putin has previously praised Trump’s efforts to resolve conflicts….

Army readies 1,500 soldiers for possible Minnesota deployment: sources

The Pentagon has ordered about 1,500 active duty soldiers to be ready in case of a possible deployment to Minnesota, where federal authorities have been conducting a massive immigration enforcement operation, two defense officials said Sunday.

The officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive military plans, said two infantry battalions of the Army’s 11th Airborne Division have been given prepare-to-deploy orders. The unit is based in Alaska and specializes in operating in arctic conditions.

One defense official said the troops are standing by to deploy to Minnesota should President Donald Trump invoke the Insurrection Act, a rarely used 19th century law that would allow him to employ active duty troops as law enforcement.

The move comes just days after Trump threatened to do just that to quell protests against his administration’s immigration crackdown.

In an emailed statement, Pentagon chief spokesman Sean Parnell did not deny the orders were issued and said the military “is always prepared to execute the orders of the Commander-in-Chief if called upon.”..

$70 MILLION in Medicaid home healthcare fraud schemes exposed in New York

Multi-million-dollar Medicaid home healthcare fraud schemes have been cropping up in New York City, with two cases in the news just since the new year, highlighting a pattern of abuse from fraudsters in the system.

On January 15, Manal Wasef, 46, and Elaine Antao, 46, both pleaded guilty to a $68 million adult daycare fraud scheme, where they conspired to defraud Medicaid through kickback payments for services that were not provided at a home healthcare company and two adult daycares in the city.

“The defendants were large-scale recruiters who bribed patients with laundered cash and billed Medicaid over $68 million for services that were not provided,” said Assistant Attorney General A. Tysen Duva of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division. “Today’s guilty pleas demonstrate the Department’s longstanding commitment to rooting out fraud in government health care programs by aggressively prosecuting those who steal from taxpayer-funded programs.”

According to charges, both Wasef and Antao were marketers and recruiters for multiple companies and, “between approximately October 2017 and July 2024, in exchange for illegal kickbacks and bribes, Wasef and Antao referred Medicaid recipients to the social adult day cares and the home health company. The defendants also paid illegal kickbacks and bribes to Medicaid recipients for social adult day care services and home health care services that were billed to Medicaid but were not provided or that were induced by kickbacks and bribes,” the DOJ stated….
