US gives temporary legal status to nearly half a million Venezuelan immigrants

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Wednesday said the Temporary Protected Status program would be expanded and extended for 18 months, citing “Venezuela’s increased instability and lack of safety due to the enduring humanitarian, security, political, and environmental conditions,” the department said.
Before Wednesday’s announcement, approximately 242,700 Venezuelans who came to the U.S. before March 2021 received the federal protected status designation, and it was set to expire in March 2024. Now, an additional 472,000 Venezuelan nationals may be eligible to apply for the program.
Venezuelan immigrants applying for protected status must meet certain eligibility criteria, including having continuously resided in the U.S. since July 31, 2023. With the 18-month extension on the program, it is set to expire in March 2025.

U.S. Government Monitoring Pregnant Moms’ Social Media Posts

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) premier law enforcement agency monitors expecting parents’ online posts about their pregnancy and reproductive health issues, according to internal emails obtained under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) by the online privacy activist group, Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC).
The U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement (ICE), the DHS agency that conducts criminal investigations and enforces U.S. immigration laws, is one of a handful of government agencies that use a software tracking tool called SocialNet.
SocialNet pulls citizens’ online data from a host of websites, including BabyCenter, a reference and pregnancy tracking site where new and expecting parents can post information about their health and pregnancy experiences.
Eva Galperin — cybersecurity director for the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), a leading nonprofit defending civil liberties in the digital world — said the revelation is “concerning.”
“When people post about their pregnancies to BabyCenter, they’re usually doing it without the expectation that ICE or the local police are checking up on the status of their pregnancy,” Galperin told The Defender.
New Records: Biden DHS Has Approved Hundreds of Thousands of Migrants for Secretive Foreign Flights Directly into U.S. Airports

But one of the least noticed, mysterious, and potentially the most controversial of the new rechanneling programs that use the CBP One app allows migrants to take commercial passenger flights from foreign countries straight to their American cities of choice, flying right over the border — and even over Mexico.
For this measure, Cubans, Venezuelans, Nicaraguans, Haitians, and Colombians — while they are still in countries south of Mexico — request “advance travel authorizations” through the same CBP One mobile app and take commercial flights (“at their own expense”) directly into U.S. airports, where U.S. Customs officers parole them into the nation, sight unseen, and in numbers publicly unknown.
Biden officials have rarely, if ever, spoken of this “family unification” flight program in the year since implementing it, perhaps mindful of the political outcry over the late-night “ghost flights” that DHS stealthily arranges to ferry migrant children into various airports, and mindful, too, of strong recent political backlash in large U.S. cities like New York and Chicago to paroled migrants busing themselves in from the border.
Here, migrants flying directly into America go uncounted in the monthly Border Patrol tallies, unnoticed, and without media inquiry, virtually all information about it almost hermetically sealed.

Exclusive: ‘DHS Out to Lunch,’ Plans Massive Migrant Releases at Texas Border, Says CBP Source

Breitbart Texas posted in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico, on Wednesday morning and watched as the more than 2,500 migrants moved through the city streets headed to the Rio Grande to begin the border crossing.
Some migrants carried children on their shoulders and the few belongings they possessed while they moved to surrender to federal and state authorities waiting in Eagle Pass. Many were single adult migrants.
The source told Breitbart Texas the recent increase in migrant incursions in Eagle Pass, some 7,000 over the previous 72 hours, has filled a local soft-sided Border Patrol processing facility to more than three times its capacity.
The lack of detention space at this facility has forced the movement of the migrants to all other Border Patrol stations in the immediate vicinity, resulting in overcrowding at those locations as well.
On Thursday, a new, larger non-government shelter is slated to open in Eagle Pass, accommodating more migrants released by the Border Patrol to pursue asylum claims within the United States.
The new Mission Border Hope shelter, operated by the United Methodist Church, will begin receiving the migrants at their new location and coordinating travel to other parts of the country.
As reported by Breitbart Texas, the shelter recently began forcing some migrants out of the facility if they have no funds to complete travel arrangements away from the border region.
Those migrants have increasingly appeared on city streets asking residents for help to leave the border city. Some have resorted to walking away from the border city to San Antonio — a journey of more than 150 miles.
Project Veritas Reportedly Ceases All Operations, Citing Lack Of Funds, Months After Ousting James O’Keefe

Human Resources director Jennifer Kiyak informed the staffers in a Wednesday letter, according to Mediaite. Six staffers, including all the remaining journalists and one development associate, were laid off, per the outlet.
“In the interest of preserving the possible future existence of Project Veritas we need to put operations on pause and, as communicated since the Spring, another Reduction in Force (‘RIF’) is necessary,” Kiyak wrote.
The nonprofit’s CEO Hannah Giles and ten other staffers reportedly remain at the company, according to the outlet.
Former Project Veritas chief investigative journalist Christian Hartsock, who was laid off in August, told Mediaite that there were no operations left to suspend, claiming that Giles “canned the entire production staff of a production company, and the entire journalist leadership staff” at the same time he was laid off.
US pours billions into Cold War submarine program as China bolsters navy

The plan also includes implementing artificial intelligence to review surveillance data for anomalies and potential foreign craft, something the technology could do far faster than a human analyst.
The more modern hardware involves fleets of unmanned drones that patrol areas in the Pacific for signs of submarines. Ships can also carry portable sensors that function as undersea satellites that can be deployed wherever needed.
In order to get a window into the top secret program, Reuters interviewed more than a dozen people in the Navy or working as contractors. It also reviewed hundreds of Navy contracts.
That examination identified at least 30 deals linked to the surveillance program signed over the last three years with defense giants as well as a string of startups working on unmanned sea drones and AI processing.
Denver police searching for female shooter who injured 5 outside Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row bar

“There seemed to be some sort of confrontation or a fight over that verbal altercation, at which she produced a handgun that was concealed on her person and started shooting,” Armando Saldate, executive director of Denver Public Safety, told KDVR.
The Denver Police Department on Monday released images of a woman wielding a firearm.
Madison Sharnowski, whom Denver7 says was a witness, described the shooting as happening “really fast.”
“Obviously there were the gunshots. There was quite a few, I’d say maybe seven or eight of them. In that moment, it’s like flight or fight response,” Sharnowski said. “When I first ran, I was kind of like, check yourself, did — did I get hit? Check your people — did any of them get hit?”
Hawley demands answers from Tyson Foods CEO on allegations of illegal migrant child labor

A recent New York Times report detailed allegations of several distressing cases where migrant children, many of whom arrived at the southern border as unaccompanied minors, suffered severe injuries or died while working illegally in chicken processing plants.
The letter also alleged Tyson is outsourcing unlawful child labor from other subcontractors to “avoid legal liability.”
By the end of the week, Hawley expects Tyson to respond to a series of questions, including inquiries of past violations, cooperation with authorities, policy changes in light of recent reports and how complaints are managed.
Additionally, Hawley seeks commitments from Tyson to protect whistleblowers, terminate contracts with fined companies and undergo an independent audit to ensure their production chain is free from migrant child labor.
California murderer who shot deputy, killed chaplain at age 24 granted ‘youth offender’ parole

“They took him home instead of taking him to jail, and that’s the hardest part to understand,” Bryan’s brother, Floyd Bryan, told Fox News Digital. “They dropped him off a block from where he lived, and when he got out he hit the deputy, grabbed his gun and shot him in the head.”
Pettis received a sentence of life in prison with a chance for parole after 40 years, Bryan said. Now, after an update to state laws on “youth offender” status, Pettis has been granted parole more than a decade earlier than the family expected.
Back on June 18, 1994, Pettis grabbed the gun from an unconscious Wenger and fired multiple shots at him, but only one struck – costing the deputy an eye. Then the killer turned on Bryan, who tried to flee.
“He chased my brother, shot him in the back,” Floyd Bryan said. “He had a vest on, so as he was on his knees trying to get up, he shot him again straight down between his shoulder there where there wasn’t a vest and killed him.”
Pettis on some level knew Bryan, according to his brother. He was in the same gang as another man who lived next door to where the ordained minister ran a youth mission for troubled young men and boys.
Researchers Alarmed to Find DNA Contamination in Pfizer Vaccine

Phillip Buckhaults, a cancer genomics expert, and professor at the University of South Carolina has testified before a South Carolina Senate Medical Affairs Ad-Hoc Committee saying that Pfizer’s mRNA vaccine is contaminated with billions of tiny DNA fragments.
Buckhaults, who has a PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology, said “there is a very real hazard” that these fragments of foreign DNA can insert themselves into a person’s own genome and become a “permanent fixture of the cell.”
He said it’s a plausible mechanism for what might be “causing some of the rare but serious side effects like death from cardiac arrest” in people following mRNA vaccination.
Buckhaults is not an alarmist and has been reluctant to go public with his findings for fear of frightening people.
Buckhaults is most concerned about the “very real theoretical risk of future cancer in some people, depending on where this foreign piece of DNA lands in the genome, it can interrupt a tumour suppressor gene or activate an oncogene.”

Guess What Iran Did Right After Biden Gave Them $6 Billion

During remarks at the United Nations General Assembly in New York this week, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi proved Biden’s critics correct and threatened to assassinate American officials.
Currently, the Iranian government has bounties on the heads of former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, former National Security Advisor John Bolton, former Iran Envoy Brian Hook and a number of Iranian-American activists living in the United States. Many of them require 24 hour security.

Poland Announces It Will Stop Supplying Weapons to Ukraine

Local outlet TVN24 reported that Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced that Poland will no longer transfer weapons to Ukraine and will “now arm [themselves] with the most modern weapons.”
The announcement prompted shock throughout the international community, as Poland has been one of Ukraine’s staunchest supporters after Russian forces invaded it in February 2022.
However, Polish-Ukrainian relations have been strained in recent weeks after Poland banned Ukrainian grain imports to safeguard its own farmers.
Poland made the move after the European Commission decided not to extend restrictions on Ukrainian grain and other produce, with Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia saying that they intended to maintain their own restrictions on Ukrainian imports, as reported by Breitbart News’s Kurt Zindulka.
Ukraine threatened to file a complaint against Poland at the World Trade Organization, prompting anger from Warsaw.
Third of Children Put on Puberty Blockers Saw Mental Health ‘Reliably Deteriorate’, UK Researchers Find

The new findings fly in the face of the 2011 analysis of 44 children aged between 12 and 15 years old which claimed that there had been “no changes in psychological function” after the youngsters were put on puberty blockers.
While the original analysis was based on averages of groups based on questionnaires provided to the children and their parents, the new findings were based on individual results, The Telegraph reported.
Professor of psychology and sociology in the School of Health and Social Care at the University of Essex, Susan McPherson and retired social scientist David Freedman — who led the new inquiry — said that their methodology provides a “greater indication as to variation across participants”
“This complementary analytic approach allows us to look at how a treatment is performing in terms of the percentage of patients improving, deteriorating and showing clinically significant change,” the researchers said.
Italy’s call for naval blockade may be only way to stem Europe’s migrant crisis, expert says

“What is at stake is the future of Europe because the future of Europe depends on its capacity to deal with the huge challenges of our time,” Meloni told reporters over the weekend, according to a report from The Telegraph.
The prime minister’s comments come after European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen’s weekend visit to Lampedusa, a small Italian island that has become one of the hot spots of Europe’s migrant crisis.
More than 10,000 migrants arrived at the island just north of Africa last week, according to the report, far surpassing the permanent population of 6,000.
According to numbers compiled by the Telegraph, 126,000 migrants have entered Italy since the start of the year, nearly double the number that arrived in the country during the same time period in 2022. That figure is on pace to break Italy’s 2016 record, when 160,000 migrants entered the country.
Meloni has made stopping the flow of migration a cornerstone of her policy promises, a vow that the prime minister has so far had difficulty fulfilling.

Did You Catch What This Democrat Wants DOJ to Do Next?

“My home state of Washington has one of the highest rates of religiously affiliated hospitals in the country…in 2021 there were several counties lacking even one secular hospital. This is an issue under the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act when patients in need of abortion care as a lifesaving treatment are denied services under the hospital’s policies,” Jayapal detailed, adding she had an abortion. “What is the Department doing to enforce this law?Mandating that every hospital that receives Medicare funds provide ‘necessary stabalizing treatment,’ including abortion care?”
Garland responded with, “You’re right.”
During a House Judiciary Committee hearing on Capitol Hill this week, Democratic Congresswoman Pramilla Jayapal pressed Attorney General Merrick Garland about how he plans to force religious hospitals to conduct abortions for “pregnant people.”
Meanwhile, Garland’s DOJ has filed an unprecedented number of charges against pro-life activists peacefully protesting at abortion clinics. Just this week, lengthy prison sentences were issued for elderly women who were charged with violating the FACE act.

Election Interference: Google Search Buried Links to Rumble’s Exclusive Republican Presidential Debate Stream

Google, in the midst of a historic antitrust trial in DC, buried direct links to Rumble, the exclusive distributor of the first RNC debate, in its search engine.
In an even bigger antitrust fumble, it placed links to its own video platform, YouTube, ahead of Rumble’s.
Google was well aware that Rumble had exclusive rights to broadcast the Republican presidential debate last month.
In internal emails obtained by the Intercept, Google even reached out to the RNC ahead of time, asking about their online live stream plans to “share with the product team.”
Rumble is currently suing Google in California over alleged antitrust violations, arguing that the tech giant is suppressing results for Rumble and other competitors in its search results. The fact that Google failed to display a link to a Rumble-exclusive presidential livestream is unlikely to help the tech giant’s case.
Google, however, insists it was all just a misunderstanding.
Feds probing if Dem Sen Menendez or wife accepted gold bars worth hundreds of thousands from felon: report

NBC News 4 reported Monday that the FBI and IRS criminal investigators are attempting to determine if Menendez or his wife had taken up to $400,000 worth of gold bars from Fred Daibes, a New Jersey developer and former bank chairman, or his associates in a swap for Menendez reaching out to the Justice Department to aid the “admitted felon” accused of banking crimes.
Daibes starred down federal bank fraud charges at the time of the alleged handoff that could have netted him up to a decade in prison, the report says.
Last year, however, New Jersey’s U.S. Attorney’s Office agreed to let Daibes plead guilty to one count and serve probation. They said Daibes had repaid the loan.
Additionally, officials are examining whether Menendez or his wife had improperly received gifts from a New Jersey food producer who obtained an exclusive contract with the Egyptian government to certify halal food exports across the globe.
Egyptian officials and the New Jersey businessman who received the contract were hosted by Menendez in his office in 2018, according to the Wall Street Journal. A year later, the businessman became the “sole certifier of halal meat exported from the U.S. to Egypt,” the outlet noted.

Newly acquitted Texas AG Ken Paxton considering running against Cornyn for Senate seat, telling Tucker Carlson, ‘Everything is on the table for me’

No longer subject to Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick’s wide-ranging gag order, Paxton appeared on the Wednesday episode of “Tucker Carlson on X,” where he discussed his impeachment, the possible motivations behind it, and his apparent foes in and outside the Republican Party.
Among the various supposed adversaries Paxton addressed over the course of the 46-minute interview, including his staunch critic Karl Rove, the Bush family, whose champion he crushed in the 2022 Texas GOP primary, and the Biden administration, the Lone Star AG saved his most pointed critique for Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas).
“To me, he’s been in Washington too long. He’s been there, what, for 14 years or so? And I can’t think of a single thing he’s accomplished for our state or even for the country,” said Paxton.

Western Energy Alliance warns U.S. of adopting European EV climate policies that have already proven failure

Kathleen Sgamma, President of Western Energy Alliance warns Americans of following after European electric vehicle and climate change mandates after the continents recent reversal of once revolutionary policies.
Sgamma says, these policies once heralded have gotten Germany “into real trouble and they have the second highest electricity rates in Europe because they just didn’t have enough energy.
[The U.S. is now] sending natural gas to Germany, and they have increased their coal production and use because wind and solar don’t work, they only work a portion of the time, and they have to be backed up.
So we see what’s happened in Europe, we know that Europe has backed off of EV mandates. But now we have all these other states following and saying we’re all going to be EV’s by 2030 or 2035.
Well, Europe has backed off on their EV mandates, because they know they don’t have the electricity to power them and they know that consumers don’t want them.”
