Attacker in anti-Semitic mob beating in NYC jailed after violating ‘generous’ plea deal with illegal pot shop arrest

One of the attackers charged in the anti-Semitic mob beating of a Jewish man in Midtown was hauled to jail on Tuesday after getting arrested again for operating an illegal pot shop on Staten Island, blowing the terms of his sweetheart plea deal.
Faisal Elezzi, 27, was supposed to get off with just three years probation after he pleaded guilty to the hateful beatdown of Joseph Borgen, 31, during heated clashes between Israel and Palestine supporters on May 20, 2021.
The melee began when a pickup truck full of Palestinian flag-waving protesters ignited a firework from the car into a crowd of Israeli activists.
Borgen, who was wearing a yarmulke, was pepper-sprayed by a group as they hurled anti-Semitic slurs at him.
He suffered a concussion, a black eye and injuries all over his body.
Borgen previously slammed DA Alvin Bragg’s office for letting his attackers off easy, including Waseem Awawdeh – who allegedly said in jail that he would “do it again.”
Energy experts: Battery storage for wind, solar to increase consumer costs

According to the news release, the need for cheaper, longer, and more efficient storage is needed in hopes of meeting the energy demands that fluctuate between day and night.
Existing energy storage abilities are not sufficient or affordable enough to support today’s energy grid.
“Because wind and solar are intermittent sources, battery storage is needed for these sources in order to provide backup when the sun is not shining or the wind does not blow,” Alex Stevens, manager of policy and communications for the Institute for Energy Research, said in an email to The Center Square. “Therefore, the cost of storage is an additional cost of wind and solar power that will increase the price of electricity for consumers despite the myriad of subsidies governments are providing.”
Todd Myers, environmental director of the Washington Policy Center, said that more energy storage will be necessary as the U.S. transitions from reliable sources of energy to wind and solar.
Nebraska man gets 2-year sentence for gun charge similar to Hunter Biden case

Davonte Brown, 24, of Lincoln, Nebraska, got 24 months in prison from Senior United States District Court Judge John M. Gerrard for “being an unlawful user of controlled substances who possessed a firearm,” according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Nebraska.
He also got two years of supervised release following his prison sentence.
The sentence came after Brown pleaded guilty to the charge in June.
Brown got the sentence after posting Snapchats of himself possessing a rifle. During this time, he also unlawfully used marijuana; law enforcement found evidence that he possessed marijuana between July 2018 and May 2020.
659 known, suspected terrorists captured in fiscal 2023, most in recorded history

More known or suspected terrorists have been apprehended at the northern and southwest borders in fiscal 2023 than any other fiscal year in recorded history.
In fiscal 2023, 659 known or suspected terrorists (KSTs) were apprehended attempting to illegally enter the U.S. – with the majority being apprehended at the northern border, according to CBP data last updated Sept. 15. The fiscal year ended Sept. 30.
In fiscal 2023, 432 KSTs were apprehended at the northern border compared to 227 at the southwest border, totaling 659, the greatest number in recorded history.
These numbers don’t include gotaways, which are believed to also include KSTs. “Gotaways” is the official U.S. Customs and Border Patrol term that refers to those who illegally enter the U.S. between ports of entry, don’t return to Mexico or Canada, and are not apprehended. They total at least nearly 1.7 million since January 2021.
Playboy and others fire Mia Khalifa after pornstar mocks slaughter of Jews in Israel

Playboy and other media outlets fired Lebanese American pornstar Mia Khalifa after she glorified the rape, kidnapping and slaughter of Jews in Israel.
“Playboy has always been a champion of free speech,” Playboy said in an email to Khalifa after deleting her channel on its creator platform. “We also have no place in our company nor on our platforms for speech that is hateful and dehumanizing. Your recent statements celebrating Hamas attacks on innocent men, women and children in Israel, including rape, mutilation, killing and torture, are disgusting and reprehensible.”
Khalifa made several controversial posts on X, formerly Twitter, after Hamas invaded Israel on Monday, resulting in the deaths of more than 900 Israelis, including women, children and the elderly and at least 11 Americans. Hamas, the U.S. State Department-designated terrorist organization that controls the Gaza Strip, also claims to have kidnapped 100 Israelis.
Missed intel on Hamas attack, explosion of suspected terrorists at border raise alarm inside U.S.

The failure of American and Israeli intelligence to detect the Hamas attack on Israel coupled with the rising number of suspected terrorists at the U.S. border are raising national security concerns inside the United States.
Signs of the alarm were evident Monday when U.S. Customs and Border Protection issued a “lookout” for males between 16 and 40, with one-way tickets to Jordan, and purchased last minute. The agency told staff the alert was being issued out of an abundance of caution, and not about any specific threat.
Still, the staggering loss from the Hamas attack Saturday in Israel, resonated across security circles worldwide.
The death toll was close to 1,300 Israelis, as of Monday afternoon. There were 11 Americans killed, President Joe Biden announced.
In fiscal year 2023, there has been a record amount of suspected terrorists encountered by U.S. border enforcement, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection data.
There was a 15% increase in the number of suspected terrorists apprehended at the border from July through August. CBP has not made the final September data public yet.

James Woods Warns a Hamas-Like ‘Army Is Surely Walking Across Biden’s Non-Existent Border Every Day’

James Woods noted that in their zeal to blame intelligence failures for the attacks, liberals have failed to recognize that Biden’s open border has put all Americans in harm’s way.
Biden’s open border has allowed millions of illegal aliens to flood the U.S., including thousands of military-age men from hostile countries such as Afghanistan, Iran, and Syria.
As Breitbart News reported, Biden’s Department of Homeland Security has failed to deport more than 99 percent of illegal aliens arriving, according to a report from House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Immigration Subcommittee Chairman Tom McClintock (R-CA).

Thousands of ‘special interest aliens’ from Middle East countries stopped at southern border since 2021: data

That data, confirmed by multiple CBP sources and which reflects apprehensions between ports of entry between Oct. 2021 and Oct. 2023, shows that agents encountered 6,386 nationals from Afghanistan in that period, as well as 3,153 from Egypt, 659 from Iran and 538 from Syria.
Agents also encountered 12,624 from Uzbekistan, 30,830 from Turkey, 1,613 from Pakistan, 164 from Lebanon, 185 from Jordan, 123 from Iraq and 15,594 from Mauritania.
The data does not include information on how many of those migrants were removed, or who were released into the U.S. with a court date.
Mom thought she would ‘die’ as she hid her child from man before veteran stepped in

A woman described the erratic homeless man’s demeanor on May 1 as “sickening” and “satanic.” She allegedly said she believed she “was going to die” as Neely approached her and called the confrontation “absolutely traumatizing.”
The details were disclosed publicly for the first time in a motion to dismiss the charges against Marine veteran Daniel Penny, who’s accused of choking Neely to death in an effort to protect other passengers.
The court papers cite testimony from more than a dozen witnesses who were called by prosecutors to testify before the grand jury that indicted Penny, 24, on one count each of second-degree manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide.
Abortion on demand: These 6 states allow women to get pregnancy-ending drugs by phone or online

California recently became the sixth state to make it legal for health care providers to offer abortion, contraception and “gender-affirming” care to out-of-state patients via telehealth.
With Gov. Gavin Newsom’s signing of SB 345, which takes effect on Jan. 1, 2024, people who live in other states where these services are not legal will be able to get health care and medication from a California doctor via videoconference.
Women can also have medication — including abortion pills — shipped to them from a California pharmacy, according to a press release from the California State Senate.
Fast-food workers used customers’ money to bail out jail inmates: police

A La Porte County jail commander and other employees noticed last month that large sums of money had been funneled from outside the jail into inmates’ communication system accounts, called Securus accounts, from sources outside the jail, according to the sheriff’s office.
The inmates then allegedly bonded out of the jail and used the remaining funds in their Securus accounts to load onto a jail-issued debit card.
Authorities said they uncovered a scheme involving “a few” Hardee’s employees, who in August and September of this year allegedly photographed drive-thru customers’ debit and credit cards.
The accounts were then fraudulently used to deposit funds into the Securus accounts for inmates with “low bond amounts,” authorities said. The inmates who received the funds would allegedly bond out of jail “almost immediately” after acquiring the funds.
459 US firms have filed for bankruptcy this year, new figures show

Large-scale corporate bankruptcies are at their highest level since 2020 as elevated interest rates continue to batter businesses.

‘Bodies Cut In Half’: Witnesses Describe ‘Nightmare’ Scenes In Wake Of Hamas Terrorist Attack

Tomer Peretz, who volunteered in southern Israel to recover the bodies with a group called Zaka, tried to recover hands, heads and arms of bodies maimed by Hamas terrorists.
“This is not something humans do,” Peretz told the Daily Caller News Foundation.
“It’s not just a normal body, it’s like bodies cut in half, heads, hands, arms. It was insane … I can tell you that it was not just dead bodies that got shot. That was like beyond a nightmare,” Peretz said.
Despite his experience, Peretz told the DCNF that the recent violence is unlike anything he’s ever seen.
Saudi Arabia expresses ‘unwavering’ support for Palestine

Saudi Arabia continues to support the “legitimate rights” of Palestinians, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman told Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in a phone call on Monday, Saudi media reported.
The latest escalation in Gaza, which broke out after a surprise attack on Israel by the Hamas militant group over the weekend, poses a threat to security and stability in the entire Middle East, the crown prince said, according to the Saudi Gazette.
The kingdom plans to take “proactive efforts” and collaborate with international and regional powers to prevent the conflict between Israel and Hamas from spilling over to other parts of the Middle East, bin Salman said, adding that his nation is also seeking to bring a “swift end” to the hostilities.
China, Saudi Arabia Hold Military Drills As Riyadh, Tel Aviv Deal Falls Apart

According to the PLA Daily, the official publication of the Chinese military, the Blue Sword-2023 special warfare joint training was inaugurated on October 9 at a marine brigade base in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province. The drills got underway less than a month after the Chinese Defense Ministry announced that they would be resumed.
According to a press release, the exercise aims to increase mutual trust and friendly relations between the Chinese and Saudi Arabian navies, improve the naval combat skills of the two participants, and significantly improve the joint operational capabilities of overseas armed rescue units, Global Times reported.
The drills were accompanied by the optimism expressed by China’s naval experts, who touted the collaboration as a win-win situation for both states. The simulation of counter-terrorism and anti-piracy operations adds teeth to their collaborative efforts, especially since China has generously made inroads in the Middle Eastern region with significant investment, military assets, and shipping lanes it would like to guard.
A Chinese military expert who requested anonymity said, “China has many overseas interests, including investments, cooperation projects, and overseas nationals. Sea routes connecting the Middle East to China are also vital to China’s trade and fuel imports.”
‘The Kremlin doesn’t care’: Ex-Wagner fighters cause havoc in Russia and the Caucasus

In October, Denis Stepanov was charged over the killing of two women, after allegedly burning down a house in Siberia.
Just days before another man – identified only as “Vladimir V” – was accused of murdering a 4-year-old child. Intoxicated and brawling with his wife, investigators say he struck her daughter, who later died of the injuries.
What these two grizzly cases have in common is both suspects are ex-Wagner fighters.

Iran Alleged to Plot Hamas Attack on Israel

The Wall Street Journal reported that the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas planned the devastating attacks on Israel with the assistance of Iranian security officials, who gave the green light for the assault at a meeting in Beirut more than a week ago.
The paper wrote that officers of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had worked with Hamas since August to devise the air, land, and sea incursions, the most significant breach of Israel’s borders since the 1973 Yom Kippur War.
Similar to the Yom Kippur war, Hamas attacked Israel on a Jewish holy day, when the terrorist group knew the country would be distracted.
Hamas and Iran also knew that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government has been preoccupied this year with massive countrywide protests against judicial reforms.
In addition, the Israel government was getting close to signing a peace deal with Saudi Arabia — something that would be unacceptable to Iran, an enemy of Saudi Arabia.

Report: Israeli Soldiers Find Dead Babies After Palestinian Hamas Attack

Israeli Major General Itai Veruv confirmed the report of murdered babies to the Jerusalem Post.
“You see the babies, the mothers, the fathers, in their bedrooms, in their protection rooms, and how the terrorist kills them. It’s not a war, it’s not a battlefield. It’s a massacre, it’s a terror activity,” he said.
“It is something that I never saw in my life. It’s something that we used to imagine from our grandfathers, grandmothers in the pogrom in Europe and other places. It’s not something that happens in new history,” he added.
Correspondent Zedeck echoed Veruv’s description of the dreadful plight. “This is nothing that anyone could have even imagined when you’re walking through here,” she said. “Baby cribs thrown to the side.”
Zedeck described the soldiers as comforting each other, many of whom she said were reservists who left their families behind to reclaim territory in Israel that Hamas held.

IDF Says Bodies of 1,500 Hamas Terrorist Fighters Found Inside Israel

The known total death toll for both Israelis and terrorists continues to grow in the wake of Saturday’s attacks, with Jerusalem saying their national death toll has gone past 900, and the armed forces also revealed a considerable number of terrorist dead being discovered.
Spokesman for the Israel Defence Force (IDF) Lieutenant Colonel Richard Hecht, who has gained some attention in the United Kingdom as he was brought up in Scotland and speaks with a strong Scottish accent, said on Tuesday morning that the bodies of 1,500 terrorists have been found so far in southern Israel, reports The Times of Israel.
The paper notes there will have also been hundreds more dead in Gaza as the IDF moves to defend itself against the massive terrorist attack.

Scott Calls for Probe Into Iran Funds Release

Scott, the ranking member of the Senate Banking Committee, said in a statement that he will push for committee Chair Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, to ask Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen to testify on the $6 billion recently transferred to Iran, as well as any sanctions gaps Washington might have with Tehran.
“In the face of evil, we must use every tool, weapon, and economic sanction available to provide for our nation’s security and the security of Israel,” Scott said. “The American people and Israel, our closest ally in the Middle East, deserve transparency and answers. We should be signaling strength — not leniency — when it comes to Iran.”
In his statement, Scott also pushed for the Senate to pass the Solidify Iran Sanctions Act, which would make the Iran Sanctions Act of 1996 permanent and limit funding for Iran’s energy sector.

Trump: ‘Big Difference’ Between My Docs Case, Biden’s

“I see that Crooked Joe Biden is working on his documents situation,” Trump wrote on the social media site. “He moved documents, many classified, all over the place, for years, including to CHINATOWN. He even took documents as a Senator, an absolute no, no! I come under the Presidential Records Act, he doesn’t — A big difference!!! I did nothing wrong, he did, and so did many others!”
The former president was seemingly alluding to Biden’s interview this week with special counsel Robert Hur over his potential mishandling of classified documents.

MLB great Steve Garvey swings for the Senate, announces campaign to help turn around California

He told Fox News Digital in a recent interview he had been asked by Republicans and Democrats whether he would consider running for office and never thought it was the right time – until now.
“I like to think of myself as a concerned citizen. I started seeing a severe dysfunction in Washington. Career politicians were focusing on the business of politics and not the people,” Garvey said. “And I decided if there isn’t a voice in California, then I should take a few months and see if there’s a pathway for Steve Garvey to run for the U.S. Senate.”
Garvey, 74, said he’s talked to Californians up and down the state and that they’d tell him it was refreshing for him to ask their opinions on the state instead of getting told what’s good for them.
