According to the Associated Press, more than 500 people marched from a park to the construction site, around 2 miles away.
Police in DeKalb County, Georgia on Monday launched tear gas and flash-bang grenades against Antifa-aligned militants who attempted to stop construction at the city of the Atlanta Public Safety Training Facility.
On a road outside the construction site, militants in masks, goggles, and Black Bloc attempted to force their way past a police line, but were pushed back, with officers responding with tear gas.
Fiance of Ohio social worker who allegedly sexually abused 13-year-old boy had been in jail on child endangerment charges
Rafter was jailed for four years and 11 months after being convicted of child endangerment and two counts of burglary in 2016, according to the Daily Mail. He was released early in August of 2017.
Rafter was initially charged with rape, sexual battery, and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, but the more serious charges were dismissed by the court after Rafter pleaded guilty to endangering children.
Shires had been employed by the National Youth Advocate Program, which works with families in the foster care system, but has since been fired.

Texas flea market shooting leaves child dead, 4 others injured
Three adults and one additional child were injured, police said. Officers responded to a call of shots fired at Cole’s Flea Market in the Pearland area about 5:30 p.m. The victims were transported to hospitals.
Pearland Police Department Officer Chad Rogers said during a news conference that the shooting was a result of an argument between two people who did not know each other.

Raisi’s visit to Saudi Arabia was his first since assuming the office of the presidency – which is subordinate to “supreme leader” Ayatollah Ali Khamenei – and included an in-person meeting with the de-facto leader of the country, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
It was his first such engagement since Saudi Arabia and Iran restored diplomatic ties in March as a result of talks between the two countries in Beijing, China.
China welcomed both countries to its BRICS coalition – which also includes Brazil, Russia, India, and South Africa – shortly after they formally mended the bilateral relationship.
European Union Condemns Hamas For Using ‘Hospitals and Civilians as Human Shields’

UK infant Indi Gregory dies amid legal battle with British government over treatment options
A terminally ill baby in the United Kingdom, who was the focus of a legal battle involving her parents, British health officials and the Italian government over treatment options, died Monday morning in hospice care.
Christian Concern, a group supporting the family, said 8-month-old Indi Gregory died after her life support was withdrawn on Sunday, according to The Associated Press.
The infant had suffered brain damage because of a rare condition known as mitochondrial disease.
Arabic copy of Hitler’s ‘Mein Kampf’ found in children’s room used by Hamas: Israeli officials
In a post on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, Israel said the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) found the copy of Hitler’s antisemitic work in a room used by Hamas as a terrorism hub.
“The terrorist highlighted portions of the book and included his own notes,” the post read. “It starts with words. It ends with Jewish blood in the streets.”
Israeli President Isaac Herzog spoke about the discovery in an interview with the BBC on Sunday, holding up the book for inspection.
US Conducts More Airstrikes Against Iranian Proxies in Syria Due to Increased Attacks Against American Troops in the Region
The strikes, carried out by Air Force F-15E fighter jets are the latest retaliatory attacks for the daily barrage of rocket hits on US forces in Iraq and Syria.
The US jets hit structures in Abu Kamal and a safe house in Mayadin – used for weapons and ammunition storage and command and control HQs.
The U.S. has conducted three strikes over the last two weeks against Iranian-tied weapons depots in Syria to retaliate for the more than 50 rocket and drone attacks that militant groups have launched against U.S. bases in Iraq and Syria, which have caused dozens of minor injuries among U.S. personnel.

Comer subpoenas ex-White House counsel Dana Remus over stonewalling on Biden’s classified documents
Stonewalled for months by the White House, House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chairman James Comer on Monday formally subpoenaed ex-White House Counsel Dana Remus in the investigation into the discovery of Joe Biden’s classified documents.
Comer said the subpoena was necessary because the Biden White House has refused to allow employees to be interviewed or provide documents in the inquiry.
“The White House refused to provide documents to the Oversight Committee and stated it would not make available the requested White House officials for interviews,” Comer wrote in a letter to Remus’ lawyers delivering the subpoena.

Internal State Dept. memo blasts Biden, U.S. policy on Israel-Hamas war
The memo — signed by 100 State Department and USAID employees— urges senior U.S. officials to reassess their policy toward Israel and demand a ceasefire in Gaza, where more than 11,000 Palestinians have been killed in the war, according to Gaza’s Hamas-controlled health ministry.
Some of the memo’s language echoes that of progressive activists in the U.S., whose anger and protests over Biden’s handling of the war have rippled through the Democratic Party — and created a new challenge for the president’s 2024 campaign.
Without offering a specific example, the memo accuses Biden of “spreading misinformation in his Oct. 10 speech” supporting Israel, one of the signature addresses of his presidency.

Liberal San Fran builds walls to protect elite, clears out homeless ahead of Xi visit
The decision to erect the temporary barricades faced criticism on social media.
The account End Wokeness, which has garnered 1.8 million followers on X, shared video of the black fence barricades lining the streets of downtown San Francisco.
“San Francisco’s homeless population was entirely cleared out for Xi Jinping,” the account wrote. “The government can easily fix our cities overnight. It just doesn’t want to.”
First batch of migrants arrives in Brooklyn, disgusted, ready to leave
The controversial tent shelter at Brooklyn’s Floyd Bennett Field, which has drawn widespread criticism for its remote location, among many other concerns, is set to house nearly 2,000 migrants, but the first busload abandoned the site after taking a view of it.
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, who got approval from the Biden administration to use Floyd Bennett Field for migrants, has also called on the feds to do more, but Mayor Adams has assured that precautions are in place to ensure safety at the site.
“But with more than 65,600 migrants still currently in our care, and thousands more continuing to arrive every week, we have used every possible corner of New York City and are quite simply out of good options to shelter migrants,” Adams said.
