Pro-Palestinian protesters harassed NYC supermarket staff, defaced Israeli section: Jewish owner

Morton Williams co-owner Avi Kaner told The Post it was painful to see one of the stores his family has operated for decades become the target of hate from two women who entered the supermarket on Broadway in Morningside Heights on Wednesday.
“You have a right to your opinion. You don’t have a right to deface private property,” Kaner said. “These actions are blatantly antisemitic. They have to be called out.”
Kaner, a Columbia University alumnus, said the women put on pandemic face masks once they entered the store and headed to the Israeli products section to slap on a sticker that reads, “Every time the media lies, a neighborhood in Gaza dies.”
US Border Patrol agent killed in ATV crash while responding to call about suspected illegal immigrants

At some point, authorities said Ortiz’s ATV left the roadway and struck a fixed light pole.
First responders rushed Ortiz to Copper Queen Hospital in Douglas, where he was pronounced dead.
“U.S. Border Patrol Agent Freddy’s Ortiz’s on-duty death is a tragedy and a stark reminder of the dangerous nature of our mission” said John Modlin, chief patrol agent for Tucson Sector. “I am grateful for all the Border Patrol Agents, first responders, and medical staff who attempted to save his life. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and loved ones.”
Man who attacked Minnesota congresswoman in her Washington apartment building gets 27-month sentence

Defense attorneys had asked for a sentence of a year and a day with inpatient treatment, while prosecutors had pushed for 39 months. Boasberg said he would recommend the sentence be served in a Bureau of Prisons medical facility.
Craig was getting coffee in the lobby of her building in February when she noticed Hamlin pacing, police wrote in court papers. He came into the elevator with her and said he needed to go to the bathroom and was coming into her apartment, the agent wrote.
After she said he couldn’t, he punched her in the side of her face and grabbed her neck before she escaped by throwing her cup of hot coffee over her shoulder at him, according to court papers.

Environmentalists continue effort to block large Alaska oil and gas project

Rick Whitbeck, Alaska state director with Power The Future, told Just The News that the project has the support of Alaska’s congressional delegation, the Alaska state legislature, Alaska Gov. Mike Dunleavy, organized labor, private industry, and the Inupiat living closest to the project.
“The radical environmentalists don’t know when to give up,” Whitbeck said. “For the plaintiffs to continue this fight shows they care nothing about the potential lost jobs nor the U.S. energy security that Willow will help bring. Their fight to stop Willow is out of touch with science, the economy and the law, and I expect the 9th Circuit will show them that once again, soon.”

Young Americans use TikTok to promote Osama bin Laden’s ‘Letter to America’ that tries to justify 9/11 terror attacks

Osama describes the U.S. as the “worst civilization witnessed by the history of mankind.”
The notorious terrorist leader pushes an anti-Semitic trope that the policies, media, and economy of the U.S. are controlled by Jews.
The letter attempts to justify attacking innocent American civilians because citizens voted for their elected leaders who support Israel.
County commissioner in Georgia loses vice chair position over violent behavior after night at the bar; she now plans to sue

When medics arrived to render assistance, Franklin became increasingly belligerent, police bodycam video showed.
She even apparently struck an EMT and screamed at him to “get the f*** out of [her] face.”
When a policeman then warned her that she was on the verge of being taken to jail, she replied, “I don’t give a f***! Get [the EMT] out of my face!”
Mom of Boy Who Shot Teacher Gets 21 Months

Deja Taylor’s son took her handgun to school and shot Abby Zwerner in her first-grade classroom in January, seriously wounding the educator. Investigators later found nearly an ounce of marijuana in Taylor’s bedroom and evidence of frequent drug use in her text messages and paraphernalia.
Taylor, 26, still faces a separate sentencing in December on the state level for felony child neglect.
And Zwerner is suing the school system for $40 million, alleging that administrators ignored multiple warnings the boy had a gun.
Over 240,000 illegal border crossers in October, highest on record for the month

The number does not include gotaways, which U.S. Customs and Border Protection does not publicly release but The Center Square exclusively obtains from a border agent.
The October number is likely to rise significantly when the gotaway data becomes available.
U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has blamed the previous administration for inheriting a broken immigration system, but his and the Biden administration’s policies led to more than 10 million illegal border crossers since January 2021, critics argue.

American multimillionaire couple funds Marxist group coordinating anti-Israel protests

On the day of Hamas’ attack, the group appeared to offer no condemnation of the terror group’s actions and called for an end to “US aid to the Zionist occupation” and tweeted images of posters stating, “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” — a slogan that has been criticized as being antisemitic and was cited in the House’s censure of Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich.

Israel-Gaza latest: IDF claims body of hostage recovered and tunnel shaft found near Gaza hospital

‘Next stage has begun’, says Israeli minister, as attentions could turn to southern Gaza
As we reported this morning, residents in southern Gaza claimed that Israeli forces dropped leaflets in certain areas, warning them to leave (see 9.05).
The leaflets came after Israel’s defence minister, Yoav Gallant, said the ground operation will eventually “include both the north and south”.
In a further indication Israel may begin to concentrate attacks in southern parts of the territory – where Gazans had been told to flee to over recent weeks – Mr Gallant said tonight “the next stage has begun”.
He claims Israeli forces have cleared the entire western part of Gaza City – seen as Hamas’s stronghold – while the military’s chief of staff says they are close to destroying Hamas’s military system in the north.
“We will complete it,” said Lieutenant-General Herzi Halevi.
Azerbaijan rejects Armenia peace talks in US over Washington’s ‘biased remarks’

Baku and Yerevan have been locked in a decades-long territorial conflict over Azerbaijan’s Nagorno-Karabakh region, which Baku reclaimed in September after a lightning offensive against Armenian separatists.
Internationally mediated peace talks between the ex-Soviet republics have seen little progress but both countries’ leaders have said a comprehensive peace agreement could be signed by the end of the year.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on Thursday that Yerevan’s “political will to sign, in the coming months, a peace agreement with Azerbaijan remains unwavering.”

Scientists say the area could face decades of increased volcanic instability.
Fears of an impending eruption led to the evacuation of the town of Grindavik, which has partially sunk by more than a metre.

2) Jerusalem responds to the UN Security Council’s resolution ‘calling for extended pauses’ – stressing that “Extended humanitarian pauses are untenable as long as 239 abductees remain in the hands of Hamas terrorists.”
3) The British Parliament unequivocally rejects an attempt by a marginal group of left and Islamist lawmakers to force the Government’ to call for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
UK’s David Cameron Vows Military Support on Surprise Kyiv Visit

Former prime minister Cameron was in Kyiv on his first visit abroad as foreign minister of the UK, which has been a staunch military and political ally of Ukraine since the Russian invasion.
“We will continue to give you the moral support, diplomatic support, the economic support, but above all, the military support, that you need not just this year, and next year, but for however long it takes,” Cameron said during a meeting with Zelensky.
“I wanted this to be my first visit. I admire the strength and determination of the Ukrainian people,” he added.
Green Agenda Driving Inflation and Hurting Economic Growth, Admits Central Banker

Net Zero agenda items pushed by the so-called Conservative party in the UK such as taxes on carbon and emissions trading schemes are increasing inflation and worsening the wallet crunch for Britons as companies pass along the costs onto average consumers, Catherine Mann, a member of the Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee has acknowledged.
In comments reported by The Telegraph from an address delivered at Oxford University, Mann said that economists have concluded that green “carbon taxes, public investments, and subsidies are all inflationary”.
The admissions from the Bank of England advisor come after Prime Minister Rishi Sunak enraged the liberal establishment media in Britain by slightly scaling back some of the government’s net zero policies, such as delaying the ban on sales of new petrol and diesel cars from 2030 to 2035.
Israeli Police Confirm Three Terrorist Gunmen Killed in Failed Jerusalem Attack

The attackers carried pistols, axes and enough ammunition for “a major attack or a massacre in Israel,” national police chief Kobi Shabtai told reporters, AFP reports.
The wounded members of the security services suffered gunshot wounds, including one who was critically injured, said the emergency medical service Magen David Adom in a statement, adding that two more were lightly wounded.
The attack on a checkpoint guarding road tunnels linking the West Bank and Jerusalem came on the 41st day of the war between Israel and Gaza-based Hamas terrorists and their supporters.

Spain’s Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez Wins New Term After Controversial Amnesty Deal

Spain’s Pedro Sánchez was reelected as prime minister by the nation’s parliament on Thursday, when he leveraged a controversial amnesty deal to get the critical support from Catalan separatists to stay in power.
Sánchez, Spain’s Socialist leader since 2018, was backed by 179 lawmakers in the 350-seat lower house of parliament to form a new minority leftist coalition government. Only right-wing opposition deputies voted against him.
The vote came after nearly two days of debate among party leaders that centered almost entirely on an amnesty deal for Catalonia’s separatists that Sánchez agreed to in return for vital support to unlock another four-year term.
Trump claims New York fraud trial imploded with Cohen’s testimony

“Why doesn’t the implosion of the A.G. of New York State’s Star Witness end this Witch Hunt,” Trump wrote Thursday in a post on Truth Social, referring to Cohen’s testimony. “He admitted on the stand that he lied, and that I NEVER TOLD HIM, OR ANYONE ELSE, TO INFLATE THE NUMBERS.”
“In fact, the numbers are low, or very conservative, the exact opposite of what this ridiculous RIGGED case is all about. THE FRAUD IS BY THE JUDGE & A.G. (Mar-a-Lago & more!),” the former president added. “NOT BY ME!!!”
Trump’s legal team last month sought to undermine the former attorney’s credibility during the cross-examination, showing Cohen a transcript from 2019 when he said Trump did not direct him to inflate his net worth. Earlier that week, Cohen said Trump had done so.
Builders of J6 gallows remain unidentified while FBI and DOJ continue to pursue other defendants

The Department of Justice and the FBI have deployed significant resources to bring charges against more than 1,200 defendants across all 50 states and Washington, D.C.
Despite the much publicized cases including violence against police officers or obstructing law enforcement operations, the majority of January 6 defendants are charged only with “parading or demonstrating in a Capitol building”—a misdemeanor charge.
The fact that none of the gallows builders were questioned by police as they set up the structure lies in stark contrast to the strict misdemeanor enforcement against many of the other January 6 defendants.
VP Biden Followed Advice Hunter Sent To His ‘Champ4’ Burner Email

Joe’s burner accounts are subject to scrutiny because evidence suggests he used pseudonymous email addresses to cover up his tens of thousands of communications with his son and partners in the family’s foreign influence-peddling schemes. The then-VP’s “Robert L. Peters” nickname was used in an email conversation that shared confidential information about Joe’s talks with Ukrainian government officials with Hunter.
“Joe Biden has stated there was ‘an absolute wall’ between his family’s foreign business schemes and his duties as vice president, but evidence reveals that access was wide open for his family’s influence peddling,” House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer warned in August.
Georgia Judge in Trump RICO Case Issues Protective Order After Confidential Witness Videos Leak to Media

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee issued the eight-page order Thursday following an emergency motion filed Tuesday by prosecutors and a hearing involving the remaining defendants held Wednesday.
The motion seeking the order from Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ office followed reporting from ABC News and the Washington Post on Monday that included videos from the four people who recorded interviews as part of their guilty plea deals.
In his written decision issued Thursday, McAfee said he determined that a protective order is “necessary and justified by the particular circumstances of this case.”
Senate Dems block effort to deport Hamas sympathizers

Rubio’s motion came as part of the Fiscal Year 2024 National Defense Authorization Act. Rubio pointed out that current federal law prohibits terrorist supporters from entering the U.S.
The issue has become highly controversial with some Democrats blasting Israel for its military response targeting Hamas in Gaza, which has led to the deaths of civilians.
“A visa is not a constitutional right. It is a temporary permission for foreign nationals to visit our country,” Rubio said in a statement. “Supporting terrorism, as defined by U.S. law, disqualifies individuals from having a visa. It makes no sense to protect foreign nationals who support terrorism, but that is exactly what the Senate just voted to do.”
Taxpayer transparency legislation would expose funds going to China

Homeland Security Chair Mark Green, R-Tenn., is introducing legislation that would require the federal government to show how much federal money is going to China.
The bill would mandate that the federal government create a comprehensive annual report detailing exactly how much taxpayer money is going to Chinese groups
In China, businesses and nonprofits are intertwined with the government in a way that is less common in the U.S., which means that cooperating with Chinese entity can be handing money, intellectual property and more directly to the Chinese Communist Party.
AOC leads two dozen Democrats calling for Israel ceasefire over ‘violations against children’ in Gaza

She and 23 other progressives wrote to Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Thursday, asking for details on the U.S. plan to de-escalate tension in the region.
Among the signatories are Reps. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., Cori Bush, D-Mo., Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., Jamaal Bowman, D-N.Y., and Jim McGovern, D-Mass.
They thanked Biden for pushing for an expansion of humanitarian aid to Gaza, though argued it had “limited impact on the ground so far,” while criticizing Israel for its response to the Oct. 7 attack.

When Has War Even Been ‘Proportional?’

Proportionality in war is a synonym for lethal stalemate, if not defeat.
When two sides go at it with roughly equal forces, weapons, and strategies, the result is often a horrific deadlock—like the four years of toxic trench warfare on the Western Front of World War I that resulted in 12 million fatalities.
The purpose of war is to defeat the enemy as quickly as possible with the least number of causalities—and thereby achieve political ends.
So, every side aims to find superior strategies, tactics, weapons, and manpower to ensure as great a disproportionate advantage as possible.
Hamas is no exception.
Its savage precivilizational strategy to defeat Israel hinged on doing disproportionate things Israel either cannot or will not do.
