World Bank agrees with Trumpโ€™s trade complaints, urges countries to lower tariffs on US

The World Bank on Tuesday agreed with President Trumpโ€™s complaint that foreign countries engage in unfair trade practices with the US and urged the nations to ease their tariffs on American exports.

Top economists at the international institution, which helps finance low and middle-income countries, acknowledged that many nations do not provide reciprocal trade access to the US.

โ€œThis [situation] could not be sustained indefinitely,โ€ the World Bankโ€™s chief economist, Indermit Gill, said during a news briefing, the Washington Post reported.

Gill said the World Bank has had to sharply lower its global growth forecasts because of Trumpโ€™s blizzard of tariffs to try to help right the situation and amid the ongoing uncertainty over global trade.

But he contended that Trumpโ€™s actions were merely a response to uneven trade access between other countries and the US.

Other experts at the World Bank concurred with that assessment and indicated that Europe, Japan and China should all take steps to reduce trade barriers on the US, while calling for an across-the-board rollback on tariffs on all sides….

NIH shutting down Fauci-founded center as DOJ probes researchers

Image generated by AI

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is shutting down a research center launched by Dr. Anthony Fauci that handed out millions in taxpayer funds to scientists who pushed the now-disputed claim that COVID-19 came from animals in the wild, according to a report by The Disinformation Chronicle .

The Centers for Research in Emerging Infectious Diseases (CREID) began in 2020 with $17 million in initial grants and a planned $82 million more. Among the recipients:  Peter Daszak, Ph.D. of the EcoHealth Alliance and Kristian Andersen, Ph.D., of Scripps Research Institute โ€” both central figures in promoting the natural origin theory.

Daszak is under fire for channeling funds to Wuhan researcher Shi Zhengli โ€” widely known as the โ€œBat Ladyโ€ โ€” through a subaward issued by EcoHealth Alliance. The group also failed to respond to NIH safety concerns tied to research conducted at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. As a result, the Dept. of Health and Human Services suspended its federal funding.

The Dept. of Justice has opened inquiries into Andersenโ€™s grant. In March 2020, Andersen co-authored the widely citedย Proximal Originย paper that helped discredit the lab-leak theory. Just weeks later, he received a grant from the very NIH program Fauci had launched โ€” a connection now under investigation by theย Trump administrationย as a possible quid pro quo….

U.S. Subsidizes Illegal Immigrant Money Transfers Via Federal Reserveโ€™s โ€œDirecto a Mexicoโ€

As Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum denounces the proposed remittance tax and calls for protests in this country, she conveniently fails to mention that the United States government has for two decades subsidized the money transfers through a Federal Reserve program calledย โ€œDirecto a Mexico.โ€ย

Remittances are the largest single source of foreign income for Mexico and last year migrants in the U.S. sent a historic $62.5 billion to family back home.

Under theย One Big Beautiful Bill Act, recently passed by the House and pending Senate approval, remittances from noncitizens in the U.S. will be taxed 3.5%, igniting fury among Mexican government officials, especially Sheinbaum who threatened toย โ€œmobilizeโ€ย a fight against the tax.

Mexicoโ€™s president has publicly called on fellow Mexicans in the United States to send senators letters, electronic mail and social media posts expressing their disagreement with the additional assessment.

The U.S. is the top source of remittances worldwide and the money sent by migrants to help support family back home has long provided Latin Americaโ€”especially Mexicoโ€”a critical economic lifeline. President Trump recently proposed a 5% tax on remittances and House Republicans reduced it to 3.5%.

Omitted from mainstream media coverage, mostly critical of the proposed tax, is the โ€œDirecto a Mexicoโ€ program run by the Federal Reserve, the government agency that serves as the nationโ€™s central bank. It was launched 20 years ago and uses government resources to subsidize and help illegal immigrants transfer cash to Mexico.

Back in 2006 Judicial Watch obtainedย Federal Reserve marketing materialsย created for the program, which was designed to facilitate the transfer of funds from immigrant workers in the U.S.โ€”regardless of legal statusโ€”to relatives in Mexico. The marketing materials, from the Retail Payments Office of the Federal Reserve in Atlanta, Georgia, were prepared by the government for presentations to financial institutions in California in November 2006…..

In its first year, 2005, remittances sent through โ€œDirecto a Mexicoโ€ topped $20 billion and the Federal Reserve reported โ€œdouble-digit percentage growthโ€ in the next several years. Over a decade later Judicial Watchย reportedย that most of the $33.48 billion in remittances to Mexico at the time flowed through โ€œDirecto a Mexicoโ€ amid a growing immigration crisis in the U.S….

Calls to ban all โ€˜third world immigrationโ€™ go viral. Sorry, weโ€™re fullโ€ฆ

Thereโ€™s a growing call across the US, loud, unapologetic, and long overdue: End all third-world immigration. Legal or illegal. Just shut it down.

What used to be whispered is now shouted by millions. Why is that? Because people are watching their communities fall apart in real time.

Thanks to Bidenโ€™s open border invasion, over 7.2 million illegals have poured into the US. Thatโ€™s more than the population of 36 states. And Americans are waking up to a very hard truth: weโ€™re importing the Third World, and weโ€™re becoming the Third World as a result.

It started with this powerful post from conservative podcaster Matt Walsh, where he said we canโ€™t be the worldโ€™s soup kitchen anymore.

Many Americans are getting behind the idea of banning all immigration, especially after what weโ€™re seeing in LA. The streets are filled with masked men and women rioting and waving foreign flags, and the message is painfully clear: this isnโ€™t about America anymore….

Letโ€™s talk about what diversity has actually done, not in theory, but in hard reality.

Germany is on fire. So is France. The UK is sliding into lawless chaos. Western European nations that once embodied order, strength, and culture are now drowning in rape, crime, terror, and censorship. And what do their governments say? โ€œRefugees welcome.โ€

The story of the 15-year-old German girl gang-raped by nine menโ€”eight of them migrantsโ€”isnโ€™t an outlier. Itโ€™s the new normal. Only one man was sentenced to prison, and his courtroom response to the rape charge?

โ€œWhat man doesnโ€™t want that?โ€…

‘Slide Into Chaos’: Is Great Britain About to Explode in Civil War?

Great Britain looks like a nation where life is functioning normally. Below the surface, however, lies a growing sense that the United Kingdom is coming apart at the seams.

King’s College-London Professor of War Studies Dr. David Betz set off alarm bells this year when he warned Britain is headed toward civil war, and he advised people living in its large cities to move before the violence starts.

Betz told the Brussels Signal podcast, “Imagine Northern Ireland scale [of violence] or Northern Ireland in intensity, but on a completely national scale, [with] attacks on public figures, judges, potentially politiciansโ€ฆ”

“I Told You Something is Coming & Now It’s Here… | Victor Davis Hanson”

In this video, Hanson dissects how progressive policies have led to Californiaโ€™s decline, from rising crime and homelessness to unchecked bureaucratic overreach. He argues that Gavin Newsom embodies the contradictions of the modern leftโ€”promoting equity while presiding over growing inequality, and pushing climate agendas while benefiting from elite privilege.

Hanson illustrates how California, once a symbol of American opportunity, has become a cautionary tale under one-party rule.

Ultimately, he contends that the stateโ€™s dysfunction reveals the dangerous consequences of ideology-driven leadership disconnected from everyday reality. Victor Davis Hanson exposes the leftโ€™s hypocrisy in their governance of California and their support for Gavin Newsom.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said it returned 122 immigrants, including people convicted of “egregious crimes,” back to China aboard a charter flight.

The Department of Homeland Security effort occurred on June 3.

The flight included 96 men and 26 women, ages ranging from 19 to 68, who were ordered to be deported from ICE detention facilities across the country, officials said.

According to ICE, notable deportations included:

ยท         A 27-year-old man convicted of rape

ยท         A 47-year-old man convicted of murder

ยท         A 49-year-old man convicted of drug trafficking

Hamas Plots Attacks on U.S.-Israeli Aid Sites. Plus, the ‘Great Un-Awokening’ Unravels.

“Hamas should think twice”: Late Sunday, a group of Hamas affiliates issued a call to action on Telegram, a social networking site they often use to coordinate their activities: “Resistance security is authorized to firmly confront anyone who cooperates with the enemy or its agents, and agents and mercenaries will be legitimate targets.”

They were talking about the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), the joint U.S.-Israeli aid effort formed with the help of private contractors to replace the Hamas-tied UNRWA.

The terror groups lamented the “American aid distribution centers” for operating with the goal of ending “UNRWA’s mission.” They also warned Gazans that “any cooperation with bodies other than UNRWA is considered a contribution to the enemy’s plans.”

A senior U.S. official confirmed to our Adam Kredo that the Trump administration is monitoring the situation. “These reports of Hamas threatening the GHF and its workers, many of whom are Americans, are deeply concerning,” the official said. “Hamas should think twice. We are watching closely.”

Zero days since last nonsense: Politico reported Saturday that the Democratic Party was in the midst of a “Great Un-Awokening” as ambitious elected officials spearheaded a “slow-motion Sista Souljah moment” meant to “ratchet back a leftward lurch on social issues.” California governor Gavin Newsom was cited as an example for having “muted his tone on immigration issues.” So much for that, writes the Free Beacon’s Andrew Stiles.

Within hours of Politico’s declaration, anti-ICE agitators in Los Angeles began burning cars and throwing rocks at cops. Newsom responded by condemningโ€ฆ the Trump administration, which he said “flamed the fires.” A group of Democratic governors, including presidential contenders J.B. Pritzker, Wes Moore, and Gretchen Whitmer, piled on in a joint statement that called Trump’s decision to deploy the National Guard “an alarming abuse of power.” And when Democratic officials did condemn the rioters, they did so not for attacking cops, but rather for giving Trump “what he wants.”…
