S&P 500 hits new record high following months of Trump tariff doom and gloom

After months of doom and gloom, the S&P 500 hit a new record on Friday, marking a stunning comeback from April. At market open, the S&P 500 went north of 6,154.79.

CNBC suggested that the comeback — what Bloomberg indicated is “shooting toward the second-biggest percentage-point recovery in history” — was driven in part by strong corporate earnings, a stable labor market, and new energy in the AI trade. It certainly doesn’t hurt that trepidation over tariffs has largely given way to optimism over Trump’s trade deals.

The possibility that Trump might not ultimately implement his Liberation Day tariffs may also have been factored into investors’ optimism. After all, the rise came on the heels of White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt noting that Trump’s July tariff deal deadline “is not critical” and “could be extended.”

There’s also the matter of Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick’s recent revelations to Bloomberg News that the U.S. and China finalized its trade deal this week and that the Trump administration has imminent plans to reach trade deals with 10 other major trading partners.

“We’re going to do top 10 deals, put them in the right category, and then these other countries will fit behind,” said Lutnick.

“The markets are looking forward, seeing lower interest rates, less regulation in the banking sector, a shift from austerity to stimulus in Europe, and a less biting inflation and tariff environment,” Jamie Cox, managing partner at Harris Financial Group, told CNBC. “This sure isn’t the stagflation story we’ve been told to brace for.”

Paul Stanley, chief investment officer at Granite Bay Wealth Management, said to CNN regarding the S&P 500’s $9.8 trillion roundtrip, “The market is betting on continued progress on trade and a de-escalation of tensions in the Middle East is giving investors confidence.”..

In the End, Everyone Hated the Iranian Theocracy

Office of the Iranian Supreme Leade

It is hard even to digest the incredible train of events of the last few days in the Middle East.

Iran had been reduced to an anemic, performance-art missile attack on our base in Qatar — the last Parthian shot from a terrified regime, desperate for an out — and a ceasefire.

Iran would have been better off not launching such a ceremonial but ultimately humiliating proof of impotence.

Even worse for the theocracy, Iran’s temporary reprieve came from the now magnanimous but still hated U.S. President Donald Trump.

So ends the creepy mystique of the supposedly indomitable terror state of Iran, the bane of the last seven American presidents over half a century.

For Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, it was hard to swallow that U.S. bombers got their permission to fly into Iranian airspace from the Israeli air force.

A good simile is that Trump put a pot of water on the stove, told Iran to jump in, put the lid over them, then smiled, turned up the heat — and will now let them stew.

As postbellum realities now simmer in Iran, the theocracy is left explaining the inexplicable to its humiliated military and shocked but soon-to-be-furious populace. All the regime’s blood-curdling rhetoric, apocalyptic threats against Israel, goose-stepping thugs, and shiny new missiles ended in less than nothing.

A trillion dollars and five decades’ worth of missiles and centrifuges are now up in smoke. That money might have otherwise saved Iranians from the impoverishment of the last 50 years…

Pfizer Delays Study of Heart Damage Among Covid-Vaxxed Children Until 2030

Pfizer has delayed a major study into the risks of heart damage in children who received the company’s Covid mRNA “vaccines,” pushing the probe back until for another five years.

The delays mean that the results of the study won’t be known until ten years after the injections were first rolled out for public use.

The Pfizer-sponsored clinical trial assessing long-term myocarditis outcomes in youth following Covid mRNA “vaccination” is now expected to be completed by November 2030.

As Slay News has previously reported, Myocarditis is a “silent killer” at the center of the sudden deaths crisis that emerged after the Covid injections were rolled out for public use in early 2021.

Myocarditis is the inflammation of the heart muscle (myocardium).

The condition reduces heart function, causing strokes, blood clots, cardiac arrest, or even sudden death.

Myocarditis is described by cardiologists as a “silent killer” as it’s often symptomless, leaving many sufferers unaware that they have it until they suffer a side effect, such as a cardiac arrest, when it’s too late.

According to the CDC, myocarditis is  a known side effect of Covid mRNA “vaccines.”

The study, listed as NCT05295290 on ClinicalTrials.gov, was originally expected to conclude in 2025…

Gun-toting woman, 64, sat in lawn chair on busy Texas highway during hours-long police standoff

A gun-toting, mentally ill woman triggered an hours-long standoff with police after pulling a lawn chair from her car and planting herself in the middle of a busy Texas highway, authorities said.

The bizarre incident unfolded Thursday when the 64-year-old woman spun her car around and “intentionally” slammed into an 18-wheeler on Interstate 45 in Spring around 1:30 p.m., according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

She then got out of her car and sat in the central southbound lane of the freeway, clutching a .38 revolver.

“She persistently kept it to her face, her throat, her head, therefore making it very difficult for us to approach her and take the gun away,” Sheriff Ed Gonzalez told reporters during a press conference, shared by Fox 26 Houston.

A crisis negotiator was called to the scene, and the woman’s daughter later arrived to help stop her mother from doing something “foolish” — a move police said helped defuse the tense situation.

“We allowed her to speak to her daughter to let her know her daughter was safe,” Gonzalez said, noting that the unstable female, whose identity was not released, was “in-and-out” of sorts during the mental health crisis.

“That was something that kept her here with us from doing something foolish. Once she realized her daughter was here, she was safe, she was going to be allowed to see her again, it got better at that point.”…

Exclusive — James Uthmeier: 60 Florida Children Saved in ‘Largest Child Rescue Operation in U.S. History’ in Operation Dragon Eye

U.S. Marshals Service

Uthmeier described Operation Dragon Eye as “one of the most incredible things I’ve ever had the opportunity to be a part of.”

“It’s why we as public officials, as law enforcement officers, it’s why we do the job. We work together, my statewide prosecution team with the U.S. Marshals based out of Tampa, and we were able to rescue in a two-week period, a two-week operation, 60 children who had been reported missing,” he said, noting that the Marshals announced this as the “largest child rescue operation in U.S. history.”

“A lot of these kids, some were runaways, some were kidnap victims. Many were victims of human trafficking. A lot of these kids have endured, you know, some of the most horrific things … have been subjected to disturbing abuse. And you know, we’re now, we’re going to provide them with victim advocate services and therapy and treatment and whatever they need to try to get them back on the road to recovery,” he said, describing it as “rewarding” to bring them home.

“We’re going to help them get recovered. And you know, thanks be to God for the law enforcement officers out there that, you know, conducted this sting, put eight guys behind bars. We continue to investigate, you know, additional leads of human trafficking that came out of this operation,”

Uthmeier explained that many of these children came from “underprivileged communities” and moved through the foster care system….

Donald Trump Touts SCOTUS Win on Nationwide Injunctions

“GIANT WIN in the United States Supreme Court!” President Donald Trump declared after the Supreme Court voted 6-3 to shrink lower judges’ ability to freeze his policies with nationwide injunctions.

He continued:

Even the Birthright Citizenship Hoax has been, indirectly, hit hard. It had to do with the babies of slaves (same year!), not the SCAMMING of our Immigration process. Congratulations to Attorney General Pam Bondi, Solicitor General John Sauer, and the entire DOJ. News Conference at the White House, 11:30 A.M. EST.

The injunction decision is a “huge” win for the Trump team, a Politico reporter said.

The decision instructs the lower courts to formulate a narrower legal formula governing nationwide injunctions.

The court’s rule emerged from the legal fight over Trump’s opposition to the automatic award of citizenship to children born in the United States of illegal migrants. The court has yet to rule on the legality of Trump’s policy on birthright citizenship.

The decision comes after many lower-court activist judges have imposed nationwide injunctions to stop Trump reforms, even when only a few elite-funded activist plaintiffs in one state have filed against the policy…
